Wrong genre

I really liked it but this should be a horror/action drama. This drama should be about Lee Brothers and not about Jiah and Yeon....

-I think the romance is unnecessary (well, not at all because Lee Yeon is doing all that shit for the girl) but this drama shouldn’t be focused on Jiah’s love life. It would be better and MORE interesting if it was focused on the Lee Brothers.... Every time there’s a romantic scene it feels so.... weird... like it shouldn’t be there... It feels like they in the wrong drama

-I hate the fantasy genre because fantasy = using those ugly special effects (reminds me of twilight, ew) but even with that genre and those ugly special effects, it got me hooked; ME, someone who hates Korean dramas. ME, someone who hates episodes longer than 20min.....

Makes sense

I haven’t seen the last 2 episodes but have been reading here. This article made a lot of sense to me. I’m living the series and am anxiously awaiting English subs on last 2 episodes. While many here have disparaged the ending I think the writers left a lot to our attention to the details of each episode which to me had hints of things to come.

Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum were outstanding!

So far I'm getting the vibe of Gu Family Book and Along with the Gods with a twist of modern setting from the drama. Which is quite an interesting combination that sets the drama apart from a lot of past dramas involving gumiho or nine-tailed foxes.

Lee Dongwook as Lee Yeon gave us quite an interesting character that occassionally reminds us to Goblin's Grimreaper, which can be quite endearing to watch. Kim Bum as Lee Rang at first glance so far gave an impression that he'd be an interesting villain.

The drama so far do still give homage to many of Korean mythological creatures besides gumiho while also giving us a hint of mystery. It'll be interesting to see what the plot of Tale of the Nine-tailed will show us next.

I'm not a huge fan of dramas with fantasy elements in it, but I decided to give this drama a chance because of Kim Bum, whom I haven't seen in a drama in years. As I started off, I was actually quite into it, but a few episodes in, it started to drag for me. I couldn't bring myself to really even think of turning it on, which isn't a great sign. I think I just lost interest in the storyline, and hearing from a friend about how she didn't love how it ended, I'm not sure I can bring myself to spend 10+ more hours on it. For now, I'll be dropping it, but maybe if I have extra time, I'll think to pick it up again.

I loved

I loved !! I HAVE NO WORDS FOR THIS DRAMA! What can I say about the wonderful performance of the actors? Lee Dong Wook is incredible as always, his expression, the way he fits the character perfectly! the delivery, in addition to Cho Bo Ha, Kim Bum, everyone, I was surprised by Lee Ryong, I hadn't seen him, his performance was so good that it made me completely hate the character as a villain, he's a great actor! Well written story, excellent effects! Not to mention the end! There's romance, mystical things and some losses but in the end everyone gets along! I loved it, one of the best dramas and production I've ever seen! Watch it, you won't regret it!!!

Each episode was like, pulling teeth to watch!

I originally started watching this drama because I really like Lee Dong Wok and I have watched a bunch of his dramas and generally I enjoy them. I also saw that they were going to make multiple seasons of the drama so I figured that it must be good to warrant it being renewed so much. Man this was not for me I don’t know what I hated the most. I didn’t feel the chemistry between either the lead characters and the show didn’t really give me a reason to be invested into this whole mystery that they’re trying to solve on this island. The only redeeming quality that I enjoyed was the villain of the show and I don’t know if that’s supposed to be the case I had to drop it.

In love with a real fox

Lee Dong Wook- YOU ARE A MASTER in this drama. Ugh you are killing it in the acting department. So emotionally connected, so sexy, so everything, I can't concentrate on anything else in this drama but you. I feel these younger actors need to learn from you. Ok, back to the drama, the CGI, costumes, action sequences, are great. Also Mr. Vet, you are hilarious and gorgeous and Mr. Fox #2, you are sinister and gorgeous too. I love the bromance between the foxes too, it's funny and scary at the same time. Ok, now I gotta find some mint chocolate chip ice cream ...

Vampire diaries style

I just started watching this and will try to keep updating the review. This is similarly stylized to the Vampire diaries. But it has its own design. Bringing in the various Korean mythology creatures.

The music is apt for the series. But am excited and interested in this cos this is a K drama and will be over in hopefully 16 to 20 episodes, unlike seasons and seasons to finish.

The acting is good the FL is similar role to the FL is Korean odeysey. Looks great some scenes are really scary holding apt to the genre.

The ML bro is similar to Damon having an air of supremacy.

This is what I have seen till now and will keep posting as we go on hope it continues the same cinematography and design.

I have seen the show till epi 3 and so far its been really enjoyable. Production is good, music is nice and story is interesting. Those fans who are looking for Goblin vibe, I would say that it is present as both are high quality productions and have mythical storylines. But at the same time, this drama is different. For example, mythical beings like foxes are shown realistically ( as in folklores) as non human, powerful dieties with low empathy. Gore and horror scenes are abundant. There are many mysteries present. His drama has more of horror movie feel.

Actors are really good and I am liking everyone so far....

Mysterious Romance

No bad I’ve just finished the first episode. I like these fantasy dramas because anything can happen. I saw a preview on Facebook and it raised my curiosity so here I am. That Lee Dong WookLee Yeon | [Mountain Spirit of Baekdudaegan] is totally a spunk so I want to watch him. I wonder if he’s on my list of actors that I like. He’s got that vibe.

It is a fascinating story of a thousand year love affairs between this fox and human, but then is she really a human. He has waited for her to reincarnated. White in the meantime he has been the reaper for wayward creatures.

So far I really like it but I have lots of questions about this relationship. Did he kill er in her previous life.

Nine Tail Fox is the handsome Lee Dong Wook.. kyaaa

Yesterday, i just started watch the first 2 episode.
Hmm... my first impression is remind me of the "Goblins" - (reincarnation)
Lee Dong Wook potrayed as the Nine Tail Fox who only can love once in a lifetime and in search for his first love who die 1000 years ago. He did meet up the human girl who look like his first love and he cant sense the fox bead inside her until he meet up with Nam Ji Ah. A human girl who resembled with his first love and he still cant sense the fox bead that he gave to his first love.

For those who like reincarnation, this series is a must to watch.

It is still a mystery how was the first love die and he willing to search for her again because he is Nine Tail Fox who only can love once in the life time and I will not missed each episode to reveal who is the human girl that she love and how she die and how the end is..

E a protagonista?
