SWEEEEET! You just have to get pass the first few episodes when she had a few days of bad luck

Overall, a sweet cdrama! You really just have to get pass the first few episodes. Suck it up!! It'll get better! If you're in a mood for something romance-focused, this is it! Plot is very cliche though, the cohabitation, contractual marriage trope! but if you're like me, I don't really care that much as long as I can get some sweets from it hehe The relationship is relatively healthy, they both know what they want, supported each other, and I like that they didn't give chance for other people to get in their way!! Love that they bring the best out of each other. ML changed his view of the world, not always about statistics! and FL learned how to make decisions for herself!

LIKES:
-Main leads are both gorgeous!
-ML's acting isn't annoying, although it's still a little bit robotic. but it's not as stoic as other MLs.
-Can't believe this is FL's first drama!!!! She's a natural! So gorgeous too!! She's super sunny!
-The sweet moments!!!!
-I like that the leads are secure with one another, they didn't give too much room for doubts and jealousy!
-Love the one scene in the resort where the FL was hiding. Not gonna give it away but when the ML just went for a handshake!!!
-The other character who liked the FL had a lot of improvement after a while! At first it was kind of icky, but towards the end he said something along the lines that he's happy for the leads and they shouldn't bother their relationship anymore! Quite impressive for a cdrama tbh
-The other couple's story are really cute too! Wish they gave the best friends a little more in the ending!

DISLIKES:
-ML's style of clothing! Well.. it's kind of more realistic... but they could've done better.
-How they made the FL a bit dumb in the first few episodes!
-The first few episodes where she's always crying. The voice kinda got annoying.
-Scenes where the FL worked at the law firm. Very icky when you're trying to hit on a married woman, even though it's contractual. You're a lawyer for god's sake.

I enjoyed it!

So we have seen these types of dramas -- contract marriage -- a lot. Truth be told I watched this drama by chance. I came across it on YouTube and I was shocked it only had 24 episodes. (I'm so used to seeing C-Dramas with over 40 episodes and I aint patient really). It was well directed, fast moving and had a nice happy ending. I enjoyed it and I would recommend it to all.

I would not watch it again though, just my opinion.

Xu Ruo Han played her role really well. I enjoyed watching her facial expressions and naivety as Yun Shu. I have also seen the BTS videos and she does look warm, just like what was portrayed in the drama.

Zhang Sinian, on the other hand, described as a 'male god', Oh Yes! He totally nailed it. It was funny watching some scenes where he was totally oblivious.

I loved Sheng Gang Shuai and I would love to see him play more roles, but as the main lead. He will nail it!

Definitely Recommend

This Cdrama was so cute.

I love how caring the ml was and how naturally cute the fl was.
They also actually look good together, so good casting
It can be a bit slow burn at times, but the reward at the end is definitely worth it.
This is perfect if you want something simple, but cute to watch.
At first, I didn't really like Wei Zheming (Miles Wei) that much when I saw him in You Are My Secret, but now, I really like him
Also, the fl is really pretty in a humble way, which I thought was really great
I love how the love rivals got dealt with efficiently.
The second couple was cute and third couple was a bit unneeded, but they didn't take away anything from the drama.

I was glad I gave this tropey drama a chance, as I'm not into ISWAK vibes (cold but smart man, warm but clueless woman). But their story was too sweet (without being too saccharine) to pass up. Miles Wei does justice to his character, an upright, socially-awkward and emotionally-stunted university professor. And so hot too boot! Xu Ruo Han manages to portray the naïve, "unfortunate" student without pissing me off, by being too whiney or clingey as other "dumb FLs" ought to come across. Together, they make an adorable couple who navigates through their contractual marriage and growing feelings for each other. Their marriage of convenience is mostly due in part of the ML's grandfather (a great supporting character!) whose dying wish is to see his grandson happily married, and circumstances led to Yun Shu as the chosen wife. Other supporting characters are also well-fleshed out, including the secondary coupling of the ML's Best friend and FL's sister. The love rivals in this drama weren't hateful and even the "villain" of the story (FL's cousin) served as a catalyst to bring the two MCs together. All in all a cute Rom-com that includes steamy kisses.

Unexpectedly great!

At first I did not expect it to be glorious. The plot is not unique and I thought that the cast was pretty boring and ordinary. To be honest, I did not find the male protagonist attractive enough and the female protagonist was too ordinary. Plus the fact that they were unknown to me. However, the very first part of the story was too interesting to pass up. Thereupon, I was hooked. There was never a dull moment. The emotion portrayed was just right. At this point, I began to understand why these artists were chosen for their characters and my perspective about the artists particularly the male protagonist changed. He is now definitely handsome in my eyes. I also love men who are intellectual and he played his character well enough being intellectual in this story. The musical score is not impressive and forgettable. The costume design could have been better. The direction was pretty great. Overall, I think it is great.

Thanks to this series I felt like I drunk a one sweet chocolate drink. ;) (now I'm craving for love)

Yes! Just the sweetness that I need. The title says it all. It's Perfect and Casual!

FL and ML relationship is so cute. I keep on smiling and giggling by myself. It makes me jealous. I want a contractual marriage too. Hehe.

Although in reality and in my opinion being in a contractual marriage is still absurd and only works in dramas. I also don't know if the FL is just too nice or too naive. She lived alone during her University days, how come she's so dense. Anyway, the couple complemented each other (naive girl + intelligent guy). Also partly because of her naivety that's why they ended up being in a contract relationship so I can ignore that. Plus she's so cute.

I just noticed that contract relationship is being a cliche in Cdramas as I already watched quite a few. Anyway, we watch series to be entertained. Aren't we? This series did a job well done. The side stories and supporting characters are also commendable.

I was to engrossed in this series I felt like it ended quickly. I will miss the laughs and romance.

Nice and Cute but Boring at some point

The first 10 episodes were entertaining, it was nice to see how the relationship developed. But then it just started to become really boring, a lot of unnecessary scenes and story.

The chemistry between the leads was not really there, and romance scenes were kinda "bland".

Don't understand the bonus scenes at the end of some episodes, when they could just include those scenes in the episode itself, would be better that way.

Overall it was a nice and cute drama, even though the romance was lacking, i still found the leads relationship very cute.
It's a nice drama to watch when you want to relax, but again, i found it a little boring at some point. But not boring enough for me to quit watching, i still wanted to see more of the leads, so i kept watching until the end.

Just Perfect!

I really love this drama, it is that kind of drama where you can't help but just smile and laugh. The story didn't have that much issues regarding second ML and FL, because both main characters clearly set the boundaries between the second leads. I love that there wasn't much misunderstanding that would take up the all drama and both were clear about their feelings for each other. The kisses were the best! it was so natural and romantic, they aren't those really awkward kisses where it just felt uncomfortable to watch. And the sweet moments, where you wish it would happen to you in real life.

After finishing all the episodes, I recommend watching the behind the scenes because it will make you fall in love with the main leads. Their chemistry is just amazing, despite the age gap. Miles Wei really finds Xu Ruo Han adorable with the way he looks at her lovingly and when he pets her head. They are very comfortable with each other that you would just see them cuddling or hugging each other in the behind the scenes. I think that's what made me love this drama more, the behind the scenes.

Love is like math with all possibilities!

I really love the story of two people who in the world think that can be married, with opposite personalities as Student - Professor with high IQ but low EQ and one with high EQ but low IQ. The main leads are excellent in their roles. Romantic scenes are sweet and funny got me hooked and laughing in most of the episodes because both of them were experiencing first love after flash marriage. Si Nian is the perfect Husband of the Century in the end to Yun Shu. I liked that he prepared to do list for her on the day to go abroad for job at the Kobayashi Studio. I can't even dislike the third wheel ex-classmate Chu Chu because she was just curious why Si Nian ended with Shun Yu believing the theory of two people with same goals as they, did not end up together. And every answer Si Nian to her questions scored perfect 10 for me.
Other couples did okay with their roles too. I highly recommend this drama if you like romantic comedy.

One of my favorite dramas

At times, this is the typical contract relationship plot of the warm woman/cold/man variety, but it subverts expectations every episode. I've seen dramas like this and was pleasantly surprised by the screenwriters' choices, especially concerning the FL. Yes, she can be a little naive (especially when it comes to trusting people, wow), but she learns pretty quickly. The ML is also a little naive when it comes to romance, but the leads grow together in this aspect. They also have a natural chemistry and great communication. Whenever there's a misunderstanding, usually everything is resolved in an episode. The romance follows a realistic flow, and the plot isn't too forced.

That being said, I hated the FL's friends' plot which is why the story isn't a 10. They both jumped to conclusions left and right and I couldn't understand why they were together at the end. A breakup should have been their happy ending. I will definitely rewatch this, but I will completely skip any of their scenes because it's so frustrating.

A breeze to watch.

Ok, this is by far the most enjoyable if not the best (at least for my taste anyways) drama I've watched during this pandemic. Save for the scenes of the Zhi Yi-Lin Nuo couple, I never skipped any scenes, which says so much for me. Zhi-Yi's just annoying in every scene, except for maybe a couple of scenes where she encouraged/defended Yun Shu. I must commend Zhao Luo Ran for her crying scenes, though. I like it when actors cry like any normal person does. Like, with red swollen eyes and eyes brimming and overflowing with tears. Not "crying" but still trying to look good, I like actors who could cry like how a person normally does, even with snot and all, it that makes sense.

The drama had its share of flaws but I appreciate that there were no overly annoying antagonists for the main couple and exasperating misunderstandings (especially those due to lack of communication) between the main couple. This is the first Miles Wei or Shu Ruo Han drama I've watched and I must say, I liked their acting. MW may have played an aloof and somewhat naive guy but he played it so well, without acting emotionless and going overboard with the poker face. He also as good comedic timing and his little facial expressions are done quite well. I liked SRH's acting, too. Her acting is a breath of fresh air, comparing it to other actresses playing the same student/immature/naive roles. Her role got herself into a lot of trouble and was quite the ditz but her acting was never annoying. I found every characters' lines and interactions quite natural and realistic, too. Like, the Yun Shu-Yun Lan sisters' dialogues/interactions/relationship, for me, is realistic. Overall, this is an uncomplicated, feel good drama. Recommended for those sick and tired of all the negativity in the real world. A must watch (and rewatch)! ?

Edit: I forgot to add, I'm just a viewer and don't know anything about drama productions and all that but I don't understand why dramas who go all out on locations and other things skimp on the costume department. Like in this case, Yun Shu keeps wearing the same clothes. Like, the same skirt (if not the whole outfit) in every latter episode. I just don't get it. I'm an ordinary person and I have a lot of clothes, and I imagine actors have so much more (plus they could get sponsors) so I cannot comprehend how they'd just go with whatever they let them wear (to the point that it does not look realistic anymore). If it were me, I'd rather wear my own personal clothes. Well, that's just me.

A Perfectly Casual Delight

“Perfect and Casual” delivers exactly what its title promises—a simple yet heartwarming watch, driven by solid character development and a clear sense of purpose. The show sticks to its premise without unnecessary distractions, keeping the spotlight on the main leads while still allowing the side characters to shine when needed.

The beauty of this drama lies in its balance. The leads complement each other effortlessly—the female lead is immature, caring, and sweet (the ideal template for a drama heroine), while the male lead exudes maturity, intelligence, and quiet confidence. Their dynamic feels refreshingly natural, with none of the forced conflicts or over-the-top misunderstandings that often plague similar stories.

What sets this show apart is its relaxed tone and emotional honesty. There’s no unnecessary jealousy or dramatic breakups—just two people gradually getting to know each other and growing together. Even the side characters, though occasionally underutilized, add depth to the story and help build a believable world around the leads.

One of the show’s strengths is its pacing—it never drags and avoids inserting drama for the sake of it, which makes it feel more genuine and enjoyable. While the music and production quality are on the simpler side, the director makes the most of the available budget, elevating everyday scenes into small moments of joy that are pleasant to rewatch.

Overall, “Perfect and Casual” delivers exactly what it set out to—a sweet, lighthearted romance with genuine emotions and likable characters. A bigger budget and more prominent side characters could have turned it into a masterpiece, but as it stands, it’s still a perfectly casual watch—the kind of show you can come back to whenever you need a cozy, feel-good experience.
