A cute love story

Sooo sweet and no horrible drama plots with death threats or kidnapping. Honestly its more so "real" issues you would see in a relationship with jealousy, miscommunication and learning how to compromise with your partner. I really love this series and Wei Zhe Ming is honestly the cutest puppy type of man. I love how shy he is and the love that seems to pour out of his eyes when he looks at her. Him and Xu Ruo Han really act well together, there is alot of chemistry between them and you can see really believe the story between their characters

I have watched this series twice and I still enjoy it.

A drama breather, my favorite Chinese drama so far

I was randomly searching for Jdramas with age gap trope and this suddenly appeared on my screen. Upon seeing episode 1, I got automatically hooked on the storyline. Everything about it is almost cliche-- teacher-student relationship, living together, contract marriage, and the age gap. However, there's something in it that made me so curious to know how the story will unfold. I was hoping to see how the story would be different from the rest of the same tropes in the drama galaxy. And voila! I wasn't disappointed at all, it's worth to binge watch. Also, the chemistry of the characters is super legit. I have read the web novel as well, and I really can't imagine other actors to be playing them. This drama was like my oasis in the midst of so many good but stressful dramas. I was just on cloud nine all throughout the 24 episodes. No need to imbibe the toxicity and stress of the storyline just to find a show engaging. Super wholesome, you won't be bothered posting about it and recommending it to all ages. The only heartache I had was when I finished watching it and knowing that it doesn't have season 2.

THIS IS REAL DRAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I firstly loved the ML in" Count your lucky star".
His acting is superb in this drama as it is one of my favourite in 2020.

The second thing is that the FL is also acting like cute baby which makes drama more entertainable and has lovely stories.

I thinks that who so ever is watching this drama can never think of skipping Episodes which are more cute and lovely.

Both ML and FL should get more drama that are of main roles and they should be real life couples.

This is one of my top 15 list of drama of 2020.

It was very enjoyable.

Plot- Very coherent storyline. Always so surprising! It was well-written, especially going from the end back to the beginning. I love the progression throughout! The end is a complete circle. Very satisfying :)

Acting-The acting was superb even though it's argued to the FL is naive, but I think Yun Shu suits her. ML and FL were impossible to not like. ML was "hard-to-get" in the beginning since he had no sense of romantic feelings. He was very studious and went to an elitist school. I was waiting for him to develop feelings, literally the best part! He progressed so much throughout the drama, each scene felt genuine. Unlike other dramas, it progresses to fast and the romantic scenes feel fake, everything here was very genuine and valuable. Zhang Sinian met Yunshu, who was a very warm-hearted and happy girl. I loved that she's actually an artist irl. Overall, a very cute and fun character. Meeting her warmed his heart, and he became more loving and passionate. The contracted marriage with her was a very good touch that helped them transition.... Only part I didn't like was that the last episode seemed a bit rushed and not all the knots were tied. I felt like there was still some parts of the story that were unfinished. Hope there's szn 2!

Seriously, it was very good- I'm wayy impressed with everything. Definitely rewatch!!!

Unusually Calming Contract Marriage Drama!

+ Ve points
Sweet and Relaxing
No schemes, No possessive characters

-Ve Points
Familial Centric Ending

Modern C-dramas with contract relationships often tend to have scheming Male lead and Utterly spineless Female Lead, this one although with a cold & smart ML and naive & cheerful FL neither has elaborate schemes to make the Contract last nor extensive misunderstanding segments to keep the drama going.

If Misunderstandings did exist, they didn't last long. Additionally, ML knows where to draw the line (to prevent misunderstandings) which is applauded. Our FL is brazen and bold too, with taking initiatives in the relationship.
Side characters though lackluster but don't bother.

The ending is family-first oriented with giving up opportunities that can be a bit off-putting but everything else is cute and sweet.

I have two minor gripes about this one. Firstly the first two episodes were not only boring, but also the premise is a bit difficult to digest. (Math/statistics major in her final year keeps making REALLY and I mean REALLY stupid life decisions) The second issue is that there is a love triangle around episode 13-15 with the minor love interest acting like a blood hound, still at least they wrapped that up rather quickly. ~

I could nitpick about other things, but ultimately they are not important. This was almost precisely the drama I wanted to watch. It's a very sweet romcom, that is very unusual in how all the problems are solved very quickly in a satisfactory, wholesome manner. It's true that this drama has been heavily inspired by Because This is my First Life. Even though that one has quite a few stronger episodes & objectively way more interesting, more three dimensional characters, I think I prefer Perfect and Casual, because it doesn't have a really really frustrating separation plot and we get a lot more fluffy romance too, with many kisses that still remain meaningful in ways that other dramas with dragged out happy endings can almost never compete with. Other reviewers mentioned that they didn't very much like the side characters & their romances. Personally I think that both of their stories were okay-ish..

I mentioned earlier that this show is very unusual in how all the problems are solved very quickly in a satisfactory, wholesome manner. I have to note though, that there are quite a few heavily teased disastrous plot directions. The creators always dodged these bullets, but binge watching is recommended, because most of the teased bullshit gets resolved in like the first minute of the next episode ^_^

The OST is pretty good, normally I have a hard time enjoying Chinese music, but there were some catchy tunes in this one. The cinematography is very decent too..

TLDR: If you like sugar, just watch this one! If you are easily bored, then just start directly with episode 3.

made it to my top 5 favorite modern cdrama

I’m obsessed with Wei Zhe Ming these days and I love fake dating/marriage trope, so I started this drama. I don’t regret it at all, I loved it. I don’t understand people saying they don’t have chemistry, for me they have amazing chemistry and were literally perfect for each other.

I liked it from beginning to end, no breakup for the main couple and a perfect ending. Made me laugh, giggle and smile a lot :) When a drama makes me tear up from happiness, then it’s one of the good one for me. It was interesting when I finally understood the title of the drama, it was not only about her comic but like he represents « perfect » and she’s « casual » ;)

They added the usual « love triangle trope » with people who have one sided love for the leads, which I usually hate, but it wasn’t that bad in this drama. They didn’t drag it for to many episodes like often happens in drama. Mr. Meng was mature and back down when he realized they both liked each other for real, was happy for them and thought they were perfect for each other. For once, I didn’t really hate the second lead (he annoyed me at first but it became better), he was understanding and his presence made funny scene and got ML jealous to finally sort out his feelings. For the girl who liked ML, I love that he was clear with her and when he didn’t agree to hug her

This ML was the best, a green flag, a great husband and was so good to her even when they were in a fake relationship. I loved it when he was saying he was her husband. One of my favorite ML ever

The main couple have great communication, they don’t let misunderstanding happen or drag. We could also see the development, like their kiss started awkward, then shy and finally more passionate kiss.

I love the grandpa and their relationship with him, I was tearing up in the last ep, glad we didn’t suffer his death (even if we know it’s coming)

The secondary couples weren’t bad either, I was happy for her sister, pregnant and everything. They are a good match too. For her friend, it’s more an open ending, I wish we could have seen them reunite.

I recommend this drama. I think for a modern romance drama and this kind of plot, 24 eps is perfect, not to many dragging plot or episodes like dramas with like 30-40 eps sometimes have.

I feel empty after finishing it this morning, but now it’s time for « Perfect Marriage Revenge » episode 5 ahaha

Saved by the main characters but a cute watch nonetheless

As many other reviewers have said, this is definitely your typical cold male mc meets clumsy female mc but what I loved is how they didn't use the bullying trope where the male mc bullies the female LOL. I didn't really have high expectations coming into this but it turned out to be much better than I expected so safe to say that I am pleasantly surprised. If you're looking for a very light, fluffy watch with minimal drama (yes, there is a love triangle, but it definitely is not the main plot and was actually kept to a minimum, thankfully), then this is certainly the show for you.
Also usually, I don't end up enjoying the mcs of these kind of dramas but I absolutely adored Yun Shu and Si Nian and their chemistry was adorable. Also can I mention how stunning Xu Ruo Han is omg!

Light-hearted sweet romance drama.

This is Light-hearted sweet romance drama.
I like miles Wei character who always focus on mathematics and statistics, calculation.
Although plots are simple and typical, it is quite fun, enjoyable and entertaining.

main actor miles Wei is always good looking and extremely handsome with glasses and formal outfits / long coats. That is main reason of watching this drama.
Main leads are really good in chemistry. The actor miles Wei is always good in acting, especially his eyes’ expressions are always perfect. His eyes look are kind and Humble and he can act really well in different characters
This is first drama of miles Wei which I watched in 2023.
Overall, it is quite enjoyable and sweet romantic drama.

Good Enough

" Perfect and Casual " is a cozy, heartwarming drama, with a simple story and an enjoyable couple.

The relationship Perfect and the whole mood was Casual. The two of them were adorable and kind of clicked together, with smooth chemistry and lovable moments.
As for the secondary couples, they were okay, but overshadowed by the main couple, which was way more interesting than them, and they ended up a bit half-baked.
Still, the drama, with its tropes and cliches, was cute, without getting boring, and had nice performances from everyone in the cast.

So, overall seven and a half out of ten.

Miles Wei is charming, did I say Miles Wei is charming because, yep....he is.

STORY:
This is your typical cold male lead + optimistic female lead cohabitation romcom drama and it really reminded me of the shojou manga I really liked ages ago "Faster than a kiss" which also had the plot of a teacher who cohabitates with his student to help her since she was an orphan with no one to take them in. The difference with the manga I compared it with is that there was no little brother and that the reason of their cohabitation is because she was betrayed by her cousin and thought that the apartment was purchased by her when it was purchased by the professor. Zhang Si Nian (Miles Wei) embodied the perfect, intelligent professor who had no choice but to bring in Yun Shu (Xu Ruo Han) into his home under the pretense of being a married couple. He decided that due to his grandfather being sick and that it was his only wish for his grandson. Plus, he likes XRH so there's no problem with in-laws. Them cohabiting was really funny and although there were some cliche romcom tropes in there, it didn't irritate me. In fact, I was entertained by it. Plot wasn't all that complicated and anyone could breeze right through it.

ACTING/CAST:
I've said it earlier, Miles Wei is charming and although Xu Ruo Han apparently is a rookie in acting she had chemistry with him so well. The other casts also were interesting and everyone did their characters justice.

MUSIC:
I don't know why but so far compared to KDramas, CDrama music doesn't stick to me. Not the music, but the OST. Maybe I have yet to find an OST that I would remember for a long time.

REWATCH VALUE:
Since the drama is simple, I could watch this if I don't have anything to watch. Or maybe in between intense dramas.
