What made me watch this drama was when a fan made a fanvideo of the the second lead couple in the drama (you should try watching fanvids of dramas on YouTube you might find yourself watching the dramas you resist), and the video was made in a way that you'd die of curiosity as to how both actors will become. Also, they got the physical chemistry going on.

I'd have to admit though that it gets quite tiring to have to put up with the complications and the problems that arise before & even after getting married but maybe that's what this drama is about. It makes you want to question marriage, if truly love is enough to keep a marriage, how certain factors affect marriage, how differently people react, the effects, and so on, and how some people do not get to walk the altar.

I really enjoyed watching this drama. I feel that the main reason why I watched this was because of the eye candy who are Sung Joon and Kim Young Kwang.

This drama really does touch on every aspect of a relationship. This drama does have its funny bits in it and I feel that many people will relate to one or many characters within it. But whilst watching I mostly enjoyed the chemistry between the supporting cast rather than the main leads themselves!

All in all I feel that its a good watch. I loved the chemistry between the characters. Its not too serious and has come comedic elements which is always a good thing!

When I first heard of Can We Get Married, the synopsis didn't appeal to me, but then I found out Sung Joon & Jung So Min were in it so I decided to give the first Ep. a try…

Story: There isn't really an exciting plot so if that’s what your looking for don’t even bother. Instead, you’ll find a realistic portrayal of what couples in different stages of their relationship go through ie. engagement/planning wedding, marriage on the rocks/divorce, long term relationship/commitment problems. I loved the ending so much because each couple got their ending that suited them (not everyone reconciles or marries).

Acting/Cast: If this wasn't casted the way it was, I don’t think I would have been as obsessed with this show. All the actors (Main & supporting) portrayed their roles perfectly making their character seem like they could be a real person living out their situations. There are some characters that might seem annoying like the girls’ mom and JSM’s character but if you come to accept who they are you’ll find them likable in their own way. The thing that made the casting so perfect is the chemistry. The chemistry between the all the families was perfect, each family felt like they were related in real life, not just acting. Each couple had amazing chemistry that made you root for them. There are so many characters in this drama and I loved each one because even smaller characters got their time to shine. Oh and what makes them so interesting is most of the characters in this drama are flawed like you wont believe which is something you don’t see in Korean dramas.

Music: Not anything to get excited over but it did fit the drama well.

Rewatch: I already want to watch this again because I miss the characters and also the pacing is so well done its easy to rewatch over and over again.

Overall Can We Get Married is one of those realistic dramas with flawed but interesting characters that will make you root for them.

first of all, i couldnt keep up with the subs, they were talking so fast i thought it was dawsons creek. secondly, i have not seen a family kdrama with so many kissing scenes it was awsome. i have a love hate relationship with this show. the beginning is slow and gradually increases and decreases i found myself sleeping and bored sometimes during some scenes. i def wont be rewatching this its too long and too much yapping. the two mothers bickering was alil interesting than the main leads stupid arguments. they have sincerely stripped off my good image of sung joon making him seem weak and emotional coz this girl was henpecking him. he was great in SUFBB and white christmas. the sister and her divorce scandal was just alright and the aunt and his "tofu" boyfriend was amazing. ki joon and his bad boy image did it for me and the lawyer kid was great too.
on a side note, who the f does the husbands makeup, no no no to that hair. he shoulda cut it, that was just bad and made him look older and unattractive. the motorbike theme i dint feel it. and what was that with the pregnancy news really really, but the two were cute

What happens when a couple has long since moved past the honeymoon stage of their relationship? "Can We Get Married?" takes a really realistic approach to answering that question, as it's all about couples who can;t find it within themselves to find that spark between themselves and their girlfriend/boyfriend. At that point in a relationship, you've invested so much time and effort into loving that other person that you feel like it would be a waste to just throw it away, therefore the only answer is marriage. "Can We Get Married?" isn't a rom-com per se, but it is a very down-to-earth take on one.
Story: This story is targeted towards a very specific audience. Unless you've gone through what the characters on screen are experiencing, you're not going to find this drama interesting in the slightest. Speaking honestly, when I watched this drama it bored me to tears., but hindsight is 20/20 and when I went back over it I found it to be a lot more enjoyable. I didn't really like Sung Joon and Jung So Min's scenes simply because the couple they portrayed was annoying. They bickered over the littlest things and Jung So Min's character was so whiny I found myself wondering why anyone would put themselves through that willingly, but when I took a step back and examined the couples around me, they really weren't anything special and were just like any other couple out there. They might not be perfect up close but they'll stick by each other. When I first watched this drama, I liked Han Groo's and Kim Young Kwan's couple better.
I didn't like the controlling parent storyline, but it did serve a purpose throughout the drama, so I'll let it slide.
Acting: Sung Joon is one of my favorite actors, and while Jung So Min isn't, I still liked her in this. Kim Young Kwang was great and had fantastic chemistry with Han Groo- so much that I even wanted them to be real-life couple. Lee Mo Sook was perfect and everyone else was good.
Music: It's been a while since I watched this drama, so I don't really remember how I felt about it.
Rewatch Value: Hmm... just for Han Groo's and Kim Young Kwang's scenes.
Overall: It's not candy-coated and there's no prince charming to sweep away the heroine. The characters are just normal people, trying to figure out what to do with their relationships and their lives.

Right.. So this is my first review here. And I haven't written any reviews on anything in years (9-10 years), I use to be really good at it but now I'm probably below decent. I'm mainly writing it cause I was bored and I just finished this show.

I started watching this show because I was running out of shows to pass time with. It's a good show, and from my experience pretty realistic. (By experience I don't technically mean myself. But more from watching and talking with other people and such.)

The show goes on in a way that doesn't leave any "Oooh I wonder what'll happen now." or "Why did that happen?" kinda moments. You know more or less whats going to happen all the time because the story goes slowly and tells you whats going on with most of them at all times.

The 3 oldest Hye Yoons mother and Jung Hoons mother were both really unreasonable. Although Hye Yoons mother wasn't so much in the last few episodes. Jung Hoons mother on the other hand was so bad in the last few episodes that I would have felt bad for her husband if I was capable of feeling bad for anyone that is. How she meant he had to either take her side or stay out of it like he wasn't entitled to his own opinion and how she treated Hye Yoons mom made her the most dislike-able character to me.

The main couple were really cool at the start (couple cool, not cool cool not sure if you know what I mean...) but as the show went on I completely lost interest in them.

I liked Dong Bis character a lot. I wouldn't watch the whole show again but all the parts with her I probably will. Her father was.. Lets just say if his wife didn't/doesn't cheat on him it's a miracle (unless shes dead.. Or left him. I don't remember if they even mentioned anything about her mother).

At the start I though Ki Joon was a complete jerk. Although in the last episode the scene outside his restaurant, I pretty much fell in love with him.

I didn't like the ending. At all. Too much missing between the last 2 scenes. And I don't see how it's Deul Jas' responsibility to take raise/take care of the child.

Oh. And Sang Jin (lawyer and Hye Yoons ex) was hilarious.

A pretty good drama and an inspired plot. Revolving around preparing for a wedding, it shows us what works in relationships at all ages and every stage, and what doesn't work.

The cast is very good. The families are all interesting.
I liked the way the story is told and how people grow as they experience life- especially the lead couple, Hye Yoon and Jung Hoon.
The drama and power struggles are a bit tiresome to watch in the first half but it becomes more meaningful as the story progresses.

The couple I most looked forward to was Dong Bi and Ki Joon. They didn't have much screen time, but I was rooting for them more than for the main couple.
The cutest couple was of course, Deul Rae and Min Ho.
The hardest couple to watch was Hye Jin and Do Hyun. It was far from pleasant and most times, painful.

It was an engrossing watch without doubt. I recommend it to everyone who enjoys family/ relationship dramas.

I began this drama because I thought it was going to be different from usual dramas. I was actually pretty excited to watch this at first but right now I'm beginning to ponder on whether or not I should drop this drama. But well, there's only two episodes left so...

Story :

I understand that it's a slice of life kind of story, so I didn't except a lot of grand events happening or a lot of twist, but the problem is, this drama has almost none. It seems like I'm watching the same episodes all over again but differently. Things go on really slowly and there are no twist or whatsoever, it's so predictable that it becomes meaningless to watch. The only thing that could have made the story a little more interesting was when Dong Bi disappeared, they could have emphasized about that or made something out of that, but they wrapped it up so carelessly. The relationship about Jung Hoon and Hye Yoon was interesting in the beginning, but it's always about the same thing, them and their mothers, and it doesn't develop in any way, they are always going round and round. I mean, they are the main characters and the story itself resolve around them, shouldn't them be a little bit more entertaining ? Even Dong Bi and Ki Joon's story is more interesting, and the only reason why I'm still watching this drama is because I want to find out if they'll be together or not at the end. And this drama has too much side stories that sometimes it becomes confusing, and some of them is more emphasized than the main story (of Hye Yoon and Jung Hoon).
Well, this drama still has its good points. What interested me at first was that it was going to talk about the hardships a soon-to-be married couple have to face, it was quite unusual but common topic. I think they delivered the message quite well, and I like how they made Jung Hoon/Hye Yoon wedding in parallel with Ki Joon's. Also, Deul Ja was impressing, she portrayed very well the typical lower class's mother of asian society who really love their children, but think wrongly of what is right for them. I also liked how they showed the importance and decisive influence of family in the wedding process because dramas usually don't really highlight this side. Same, I liked the solid strings between the two daughters and their mother, and the mother's strong character who'll do anything for her daughters, doesn't matter how other might think of her. Well, the storyplot in itself could've been pretty interesting, too bad that it wasn't exploited well.

Cast :

I hesitated to begin to drama at first because I don't really like Jung Soo Min's acting, but I still wanted to give it a try. I still found her acting not natural, her expressions are either excessive or lack in expressing her feelings. Her and Sung Joon's acting is awkward, I can't feel that they love each other in the drama. I think the message of the drama is that love can beat the hard reality when it's strong enough, but without feeling the love, it is not really believable.
Some characters were, in my opinion, useless in this drama. For example, the drama could have worked without Deul Rae and Min Ho, I still can't understand their role in this drama. Of course they are cute and all, but they aren't really linked to the main storyplot apart from the fact that one is the aunt of the main character and the other one is a friend, I guess, of the other main character. Some goes for the ex-boyfriend, if they weren't going to make a good use of him, why did they even put him in ?
The characters didn't really evolved apart from Deul Ja and I think a little of Dong Bi. I've seen some dramas of Lee Mi Sook (playing Deul Ja) before and I always thought that she played mother's role very well. A lot of people found her character annoying in this drama but I think she portrayed well her role, that is as I said earlier, the traditionnal mother who thinks that only well-off man can bring happiness to her children, but slowly realize that perhaps money isn't everything. Also, I think that Dong Bi is the only character that moves on when all the other one are sticked at the same spot. Actually, I think she's the only character I liked in this drama.

Overall :

'Can we get married' is a watchable drama, you can watch it if you have nothing to watch, but don't except an excellent storyplot. It can be pleasant to watch if you bear with all the excessive tempers of some characters and don't find them annoying. The topic it talks about is actually pretty interesting, and if you want to learn more on how asian community works, you can give it a try, it shows quite a lot a actual facts. However, in my opinion, this is not a drama I'd watch again.

Interesting story. The mothers truly drove me crazy! Being a mother in law, I could not even see myself in any of them until Jung Hoon's mother at the very end! The story kind of took the long way around getting to the conclusion which is probably the reason that it took the last episode to help me decide whether I even liked it. The ending was one of the best and the the ending for each couple was perfect.

This is a 20 episode drama about whether a couple will get married or not.

Just know what you are signing up for if you decide to watch - marriage is as much about marrying two families as it is about marrying two individuals. How do in-laws settle their differences? What place does pride have in a new marriage? The reality of bills, housing, transportation after getting married? Where will the wedding be and who will be paying for it?

This drama covers all of that and more. Both mothers of the bride and groom love their children very much. But they also have a lot of pride and the fighting between the mothers take up the majority of the challenges faced by the bride and groom.

I enjoyed the supporting cast's relationships with each other, as they depicted various scenarios. More realism with a dash of romance. As the older sister is going through difficulties in her marriage, it is interesting to include that as well, as it relates to how important marriage and family life need to be managed post-wedding. It only gets more complex as children come into the picture.

This is really a drama about the characters. Lots of push-pull type of dialogue, introspection, and negotiation. All the actors do a good job here, though the dialogue can get dry and boring at times.

i really enjoyed this for the 1st six or seven episodes, i had my doubts in the middle and toward the end i began suspecting that none of the things keeping me watching this show were ever going to amount to anything really great.

the main couple never held much interest for me, even Sung Joon, who i've liked in other shows left me less than impressed. his character was sweet and likeable but in a very bland, going through the motions sort of way.the character of Hae Young never quite managed to grab my sympathy and they didnt have much chemistry.

the other three couples started out great but though they had a great deal more potential than the main characters, it never really amounted to much. these story lines were tidied up in a very bland way.

as for the mothers, i understood where they were trying to go with Hae young's mom, but Mrs. Ha completely baffled me. i could tell they wanted you to like her a feel a little sympathy for her, and maybe if you're korean you do, but i found her character to be completely contemptable. though the writer does get points for not going the usual Evil Omma route, this character was even less likable because she was so much more realistic than a shrieking banshee ahjumma.

at the end i was left scratching my head thinking if they had spent less time on hae young being a orange lipped brat they'd have had more time to end everyhting else in a more satisfying way.

I had high hopes for this drama to be honest. The first 5 parts, then it got a bit emotional in the middle then afterwards it dragged on. I think 16ep would have been much better.

The story line was about 3 different couples and there different relationship problems, family acceptance and other dramas. It does tell what reality is like for couples nowdays, but for me it dragged on for agess.

to be honest i was more attracted to the supporting role's characters's relationship, every week i tuned in just to watch them. Watch this if you have a lot of time to spare and your board.
