A burst of emotions in the best way possible
I contemplated whether to write a review about this masterpiece as there are enough acclaiming it and giving you a guarantee where in the reader understands its worth a watch. However, I feel compelled to say that I don’t even watch thai dramas but an edit brought me here and I was left in awe of the masterpiece ITSAY is. After a very long time I’m suffering from a post drama syndrome and watching this show was a heart-wrenching experience in the best way possible. It has everything you want from a viewing experience- soft angst, healing, character development, a whole lot a feelings and a lingering feeling of a heavy heart. Please give it a watch if you’re doubting whether you would want to see it or not. It is absolutely worth it in every sense if the way.Was this review helpful to you?

The thoughts
first of all this series with a really deep meaning. i like it i really do, nothing to say but i still have some thoughtsstory: the story is really unique, if someone would've recommend me this series when i was struggling with my sexuality i would of know who i am after this series, the story is telling us about two guys who struggling with their sexuality and their personality. i cant even explain my feelings cuz the meaning is so deep. I LOVE IT RECOMMEND
acting: im not an expert and i cant directly say if they did good with acting BUT i think they have so many hard scenes to play.. one moment they need to cry other be happy, i think thats hard so for my opinion they are amazing and they did a great job

Mixed Feeling
well, their chemistry is no doubt. they are what everyone say it, one of the best couple indeed.but when i saw the acting goes on, i dont know but for me it's too cringey, too much crying!
the story is that good, but then come the tears everywhere, literally.
yes, the scenery was too good to be tru (ah, how i wonder going there soon)..
soundtrack really blended well with the situation, masterpiece, but then again comes the crying, ughh
well i just wish them act in the production like the old but good "SOTUS" or the newer one "1000 stars" or even maybe adaptation of "WBL"? surely cant wait!
please, don't waste their talent dear scriptwriter/director/producer

Best quality in both production and storytelling
If you're looking for a well-written and beautifully produced BL that leaves you craving more, congrats on finding it!The five episodes, each a little over an hour, give both the story as well as the characters time to develop and flourish. The relationship between the main characters feels real and natural. No sudden change of mind, like in other BL's.
Production and Cinematography are beautiful. Lingering, drawn out shots, that captcha the emotions of the characters so well, that I had to watch them over and over. I Told Sunset About You has set new expectations for me.
Overall a Friends to Enemies to Friends to Lover story well executed. I can't wait for the second season !

I truly loved it!
I have seen many series and I have never written one. I must say that I started watching it because I was very disappointed about another one I was waiting on. I truly loved the entire thing and was left wanting for more. It is definitely a must watch! The acting compared to other series was great! I cried when they cried and felt what they felt with their expressions. I honestly could say that this was a story about my own life. the only thing I was not fond of was Billkin's character being such a cry baby. Also, how they went back and forth and they acted as if nothing ever happened. I have seen PP in other series, but I really like his character here (minus the evil deeds). I enjoy how much they longed for each other, how their loved was felt. This was almost realistic, what I admired the most was the close friendships they all had. I think that it all connected so well.

Masterpiece
This series punched me right in the heart. First of all, the cast, music, and storyline were superb. This series is very special to me because of its realism. It really explores how difficult coming out can be on the one hand. On the other it explores how difficult it can be for the partner that is open and willing. Having been through a similar experience as a teen, it really hurt my heart at times to watch. They depicted that struggle and pain so beautifully. I really can't praise this series enough. I would definitely recommend. Bring the tissues because i sobbed more than once during the series. The acting was next level. ??Was this review helpful to you?
The most beautiful bl i have ever seen
Title says it all actually, go watch it!This story made me shiver, in a good way. Ive laughed and cried together with them. If you want to see a story with good acting and a good story where your heart will melt, shrink, break, than this is the serie for you!
This is the most beautiful bl I have ever seen and if you think that this is not true, than please send me the title of a serie that is better. I need more good stuff like this to watch. Thanks :))
I will have to make this review a little longer, but the thing is, there is nothing to say left. Everything about it is just perfect. No negative thoughts.
It might be long enough now, yes, byeeeeee!!!

This Show-
The story is, frankly, nothing new: it's a story of coming to face yourself, who you are, and the struggle of love. What makes this show stand out is how it was done. The cinematography is the best I've seen in BLs. It's just really good, period. The color and saturation, the angles, the tracking shots, was all done so well; every frame contributed to the unique mood of this show presented by the setting and by the characters. Honestly, I'm not a film major, so I can't truly analyze the cinematography, but there are lots of other reviewers that had done so. Even knowing nothing about film, I'm sure everyone who watched this could sense something special about how it was put together, even if you can't name it.
The characters:
I really disliked Teh. That was a big drawback on this show for me, and I almost quit watching because I got fed up with how he treated Oh Aew, but in the end his story arc brought me around to understanding him. He had some scenes that tore me apart and really made me feel for his character. He came a long way from the beginning of the show to the ending, and I want to have faith in him for the future, but some of his choices and actions in this season are leaving me in doubt.
Oh Aew: I loved him. He was a relatively static character in this show; his personality didn't change or evolve, but we as watchers slowly came to understand and to see him better. He deserves so much, and that's another thing that made me kind of dislike Teh: I really liked Aew and Bas. Aew needed someone like Bas, who could believe in him and trust him, not be embarrassed by him. Unpopular opinion, but I really shipped Aew and Bas, * Spoiler * even though I knew that it was not going to happen (or at least, that they wouldn't be endgame). I really wish Bas had gotten a happy ending too.
I felt for Tharn. Her acting was so good, especially in the last episode, when she faces Teh. I could see every emotion and realization play across her face. This kinda goes for all the actors: they were so good. In a show that depended on close-ups and at times even extreme close-ups, and lingering shots on all of their faces, the actors did such an amazing job with emotion.
I did struggle with how slow this show went. Part of it is just because I'm in school and busy and had no patience because I know that the shots are beautiful and the slowness is part of what makes this show so good. But I really struggled with it, haha.
I might add more to review/clean it up later. I need to get all my thoughts in order, as this show has so much to consider and unpack.

Too good to explain
I feel like there’s no words to describe this, but it also feels like I could write a 10 page essay on it. I’m just going to keep this short and simple, everyone NEEDS to watch it. Everything about it from the characters, to Phuket, to the OST is just pure perfection. It really shows the aspects of first love and the experiences of someone coming out of the closet for the first time. Much more refreshing from all the drama and exaggerations in other shows. So basically, unless you’re a homophobe, WATCH IT!Was this review helpful to you?
It exists, so I watched it.
You're SUPPOSED to sympathize but goddamn if they don't make it hard. There was so much excess time spent on nothing. Just time wasted that I finally started skipping through the crying scenes. I sat there watching these guys cry for like 2 hours and was annoyed. It was the definition of ANGST. I'd equate it to a 14 year old writing her first angst fanfiction. It was artistic, sure, but emotionally moving? No. I loved the background and buildup but once we neared the climax, I was already bored. Just guys crying from a far without any result for like 13 episodes. Was this review helpful to you?
If 1st episode was about Rivalry, 2nd was about Jealousy. One can be jealous even in friendship, you know;) Then, we yet continue... Somehow, I didn't even wish for the relationship to progress beyond friendship, at least not the way portrayed. In the end, I would really prefer just the 1st episode as a movie. I would definitely rated it higher. Less is more sometimes.
I'm sorry to say that I found this "Billkin" rather ugly and bad actor. He mostly looks awkard onscreen. The other guy is better, he can convey a lot even without words, also he's more... er, handsome. His MDL profile picture looks like some female actress and for a second, I thought maybe by technical error it really WAS (reminded me of one korean actress). But after I looked closer, I accepted it was really him, just very feminine looking pic. Then, after I watched his music video "PP Krit - I'll Do It How You Like It [Official MV]" I really wished to unsee it in my head. Alek Teeradetch is there with him as a boy, and I always thought HE is girly enough but that's nothing in compare to PP Krit in this. Maybe I would rather prefer him to undergo a surgery and really change, lol. It's somehow scary that guys should evolve into this in the future. The Earth is losing men. Aaanyways:) Back to this show!
By the time I opened episode 4, I was like: Ookay, I liked the 1st epi, and then I gradually liked it all a bit less, and NOW I maybe even would prefer not to watch further? But I did watch further telling myself come on, it's just 2 episodes left... Okay, too much crying, too much drama about exams and personally, I would cheer for Oh-Aew & Bas couple more. Phuket is CHARMING. But what can I do, I can't count it into rating for Story, Acting, Music or Rewatch Value:) Last scene, I was totally mesmerized by the scenery. Only I couldn't really bring myself to care about the two guys in it;)
This even has a sequel I'm not interested to watch, but I like its posters so, I looked at those. And that was enough for me:)

the most beautiful bl series i've ever watched
I have watched several BL series in the past couple months, but nothing beats this for me. Honestly literally everything hits the spot the chinese aesthetic, cinematography, the direction not to mention the impeccable CHEMISTRY between the two leads. Honestly this series is an emotional rollercoaster,as an audience member I felt so many emotions through the episodes I have watched and I like how they take their time with each episode to make the audience feel like we are actually experiencing their journey , I love how during several parts of the series Oh and Teh have silences between the both of them when they just feel eachother's presence. In my opinion this beautifully represents the essence of a first love. Please, Please, Please watch this series you will not regret it!Was this review helpful to you?
