Different love story than the norm

I always read other reviews before doing my own. Seems this is a love or hate series. I absolutely loved it. The two ead actors had great chemistry and enjoyed some of the other funny characters and Mimi too of course. A couple of thoughts cone to mind. What 25 year old woman can’t tell a guy is 18 but believes he is her age? Also what 18 year old guy is so sweet and unselfish? As one other reviewer said who in their right mind would still be in the same place after five years considering the circumstances? Sure wish I had met an 18 year old like that way back then. Overall enjoyed watching this and the piano playing.

A beautiful but rushed ending!

I hesitated to finish this drama after seeing a lot of criticisms for the last two episodes. As a romcom, this drama really fits its genre. Very lighthearted and easy to follow. The last two episodes really wrapped up the story well til it just ridiculously introduced a serious illness out of the blue lol. Aside from that I think the last two episodes were written well. Although they could have done that a little earlier so the "happy ending" could be portrayed just a little more.
A simple storyline acted by the amazing casts really gives this drama a high-class feel.

P.S: Lee Jae Wook is a rookie actor but he already has that A list actor feel

I have never read spoiler but for this drama I had to.

The drama was promising and the back story all was good. The acting top-notch. I like all the characters and the humor they bring to the story.

BUT this drama is a big NO NO!
It started with mushy, fluttering, cringe, butterfly in my stomach story line and get all bad like really bad from episode 13 onwards. Its like the writer smoke a joint and decide, lets write the last 3 episodes like this.

Im on episode 15 but I cant stand it anymore. Im dragging myself to watch episode 15-16 cause I like Lee Jae Wook. My only saviour.

Acting: 8/10
Lee Jae Wook: 14/10!!

A warm drama

such a nice drama. This drama would be totally better if the writer put a better ending, but its okay i still like rara and jun soo much. I like the vibe of this drama, as the eunpo city is the main places, with the supporting roles that made this drama more happening.
At first, i just want to see this drama because of the go ara and lee jae wook. I curious about their chemistry and after 1 episode, i 'm stuck with this drama.
This the only drama in 2020 that i watch ongoing. So ,this drama really made me feel their warm relationship with each other and i even cried with them.
So,i would rewatch this drama again.

A beautiful melody that hit all the right notes!!

I don't get why this is getting so much hate and backlash from all the reviews but it's definitely one of the best dramas I have seen for 2020! Watching this put me on an emotional rollercoaster for 2 days. I randomly played this from the title suggestions on Netflix because it's a story about playing the piano (personally it's one of my childhood frustrations) but boy was I completely caught off-guard with all its surprises! Right of the bat I thought the plot was a bit childish and teeny-bopper-y (which I did enjoy, mind you) but it slowly developed and escalated into a mature and profound depiction of self-growth and unconditional love. It also effectively convinces you that both can be integrated not separated. The characters were all fantastic, how they each navigated throught their struggles and did not fail to serve each others' pillar of strength. I loved how the writer intertwined their stories into little plot twists and and there were so many compelling scenes that would still drive you on the edge of your seat despite knowing fully well that twists are the standard formula of KDramas. And the piano music was perfectly and beautifully incorporated into the whole journey! Who knew that Twinkle Twinkle Little Star could sound so romantic?? Gosh I'm just speechless! I just couldn't be happier about watching this. Go Ara and Lee Jae Wook had a sparkling chemistry (despite their 8-year age gap), and they truly executed their characters to an unexpectedly emotionally penetrative level (I can't count the number of times they both made my tears burst).

P.S. I am fully satisfied about the ending and I don't need any explanation or backstory whatsoever. It's the kind of situation where you love and care about the characters so much that you just want them to get what they deserve without the need question or justify anything! Props to the writer for conveying us that message!

Beautifully Orchestrated

A beautifully orchestrated drama! It made me laugh and cry so much, and I enjoyed every moment of it. It started as a fun and lighthearted romantic comedy, but by the end turned into a deep story about wonderful characters and their lives. Every single character in this drama was special in their own unique way, and each one was a pleasure to watch! All the supporting characters had their own story to tell, and not once did it feel like they were taking away from the main characters or were unnecessary. I absolutely loved the adventure this drama took me on! The incorporation of music throughout the drama added that extra touch to it, that made it wonderfully magical and special.

Going well until it landed in cuckoo land

This drama could have easily been one of the best k-dramas in 2020, but for a terrible finale that took a trip to the cuckoo land. The build up of the story was fantastic yet somehow the writer thought for some unknown reasons that he must force his audience to embark on an emotional rollercoaster and snag a finale that leaves you questioning if the writer is okay...i mean like really really okay!!!
The cast did a stellar job. Their acting was so perfect but for a terrible execution of a finale. When i began this drama i rated it an 8.5 but but the time i got to the finale, it was a 3.5!!!

The drama was great, loved the beginning, the middle but HATED THE END. It was a “What the F**k kinda ending is this” feeling. After crying my eyes out( I can’t remember the last time I cried in a movie). I was heartbroken. Only for Jun to walk in like he just came back from work. And then you guys ended it without giving us an explanation. And then Ra Ra accepted him quickly. God knows if it was a real life situation, RaRA would have fainted, and demanded an explanation and I she won’t forgive him that easily. God knows I would be angry in tears. I would give you the silent treatment. This was a good drama!!! Very amazing storyline, Great Casting, Great songs,Amazing plot twist but you guys failed at the last episode. You failed to give us closure. Nothing would have happened to you guys if you had given us a fairy tale drama, with a fairy tale ending without tears. God Knows I need something to distract me from the situation of the world.

Warm music amid rubbish ¤_¤

Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol is a romantic comedy that follows the romance between a wealthy pianist (Go Ara) who loses everything after her father dies and a mysterious part-time worker (Lee Jae Wook).

Go Ara plays Goo Ra Ra. She is bright, full of life, and a bit naive. After her father suddenly passes away, she is left on her own as she tries to survive. She maintains a cheerful attitude despite her hardships, and she begins to connect with a man who steps in to help her.
Lee Jae Wook is Sun Woo Joon. He is a mysterious man with many part-time jobs that is a bit closed off and withdrawn. He gets caught up with Ra Ra and finds himself wanting to help her and to have her around.
We then have our second lead Cha Eun Seok (Kim Joo Heon). He’s a nice doctor who takes an interest in Ra Ra and also tries to help her out when he can. He has to compete with Joon for her affections though.

Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol comes from the writer of one of my favorite dramas, Shopping King Louie, and there are definitely some similarities in terms of the basic plot. Rather than the guy having to survive on his own, this time the girl is the wealthy one forced to survive with no money with the help of a kind man who takes her in.

She has a lovable personality too which helps those around her to like her and want to help her despite her high standards. Then throw in a bunch of fun supporting characters and a darker mystery on the side, and well, they sound almost like the same drama!

This one definitely does not execute everything near as well as Shopping King Louie though. Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol is a pretty straight-forward romantic comedy with a large helping of fluff that progressively gets more serious it goes.

The first half is pretty easy to watch with its bright characters and humorous story. While I do think everyone did well and the characters were fine, for me, Go Ara really carried this drama. She was delightful and so full of life. She lights up any scene she is in. Ra Ra can be a bit clueless at times, but she means well and is so kind. Her fun personality makes her enjoyable to watch.

The rest of the characters are also pretty good, and the interactions between them all are a strong point in the drama. This is the kind of show that relies on its characters and the humor rather than the strength of the plot.

The base plot of Ra Ra surviving on her own with the help of Joon is cute. It takes its time as it explores some of Ra Ra’s challenges as well as her budding romantic relationship with Joon. This duo wasn’t exactly riveting for me, but they did have plenty of sweet moments.

Then we have the second half of the drama. This is where the more serious side becomes more prominent as we deal with who Joon is, why he is so mysterious, and another more serious subplot. Surprisingly, a lot of this is actually resolved pretty quickly about midway through the drama.

And that’s where the problem comes in. Not much really happens after that. Ra Ra and Joon face some challenges, but as a whole, the plot really wanders around between various characters and small happenings. A lot of the charm from the first half of the drama was lost at this point. There is still plenty of humor, but the angst definitely goes up too.

I didn’t so much mind that, but I more so had issues with the overall execution of the angsty side of the drama. And in a rare happening for me, I do actually think this drama has a trash ending that I believe many people will really dislike.

So overall, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol was decent enough. It’s pretty basic as a romantic-comedy that gets more angsty as it goes. It didn’t always feel like a lot was happening, but the story did progress and the characters were appealing to make it a good enough watch.

IT IS NOT BAD!

The Drama Justify all the hype the trailer have shown. It has proven its worth from the first episode to the last episode.

As other people justify that the ending is bad, it is not! The last episodes of this drama touch the heart string very well a slow revelation of events, Misinterpretation being explained a masterful change from a joyful mood to a more serious mood. The drama touches the heart string more than you realize.

The acting is always on point perks to the Cast for bringing out the best of the best acting. The acting makes you engage more on the drama especially the Supporting Actors serving as Comic relief making you forget those Serious instance of the drama. The Leads is so immerse to their character you will feel natural on their acting.

Overall The drama really depicts the phrase "Life is an Adventure" different people with different personality, background and story turns into a Family, The story is soo well written that you wont realize that a simple conversation is actually a wish. This Drama is not just the journey of Ra Ra and Jun but also the people around them everything on this drama was well made and how things get revealed smoothly was also what makes this drama shine.

(This is my first review because of how satisfied I am on this Drama I really need to make a review and especially because this is Lee Jaewook's first primary leading role he really is talented)

A cute silly drama but not for all

The starting of the drama is great. I mean it has the right amount of all the emotions. You will enjoy the comedy and heartfelt moments in the start. Then after 5th episode it becomes really silly. The story goes well but there are many unnecessary complications or delays in it.
The male lead actor did a very good job. You will love him. He is very young(22yr) but his acting skills are really good.
As for the main actress, Go ara, I never was a fan of her. Never liked her acting. Here the role suits her because the character she plays is a silly one. But I still think her acting is not that good.

The Ending was really bad and not at all satisfying. The problem with the age gap here was that the ML was a minor so it felt weird to me to watch them have romance together.

Overall this was a cute silly drama and you may like it if you don't mind all the things I wrote above.
