Formulaic and a Little Problematic but the Cast Serves
Despite the hollow and formulaic storyline, lousy editing, lazy sound mixing and other technical details, Love in the Air is is elevated by its extremely charming leads. It may not offer anything new but the sparks between the cast is something to witness.CAST: I have no complaints when it comes to the casting. I think the 4 leads look very good together, they match very well and they're all very pleasing to look at. They also look very committed to the role as well as carrying out mature scenes, which I appreciate a lot as a viewer, because nobody wants to watch a half-assed awkward sex scene. But they pull it off so very well.
STORYLINE: The storyline I'm a little iffy about because if you think about it, they don't really have a lot of things going on. They went to a race track, met bad boys, they got pursued, and that's it. There's really not that much potential for substance. There is a little bit of character development but you barely notice it. Some of the scenes, I find it problematic, especially when it concerns matters of personal space, consent and decency (Payu suggesting sex with Rain after saving him, same thing with Pai and Sky.) It almost felt like that behavior was being normalized which I'm completely against of.
MUSIC/EDITING: The music and sound editing on this series is just a big big mess. The editing was so lazy that the sounds don't even have any coherence with each other whatsoever. It's like the sound mixer just created a playlist and hope for the best. Literally any novice can edit the sound much better, even I can. Makes you wonder if they are aware of this and they just choose to ignore it or they really intended it that way, in which case, it's a terrible choice on their part. The scoring is a mess, it frustrates me to no end when I don't think it's complicated to mix the score well to the scenes. Sometimes their choices of background music does not match the scene at all and it's very awkward to look at.
ACTING: For the acting, Boss doesn't have a lot of material to work on but I think he did very well for the fuckboy mechanic role he was given. For Nouel, he has a bit more material to work on than Boss and I feel like his acting on most parts could've been done with finesse or a little polishing. His emotional acting isn't quite as polished or convincing yet. For Fort, there's also not a lot of range for him to work on, but for the scenes and material he was given, he did very well to portray the annoying fuckboy racer Prapai. He does moderately well on some emotional scenes too, however, his acting, most times, feels like he's coddling Peat. For Peat, he has the most emotional scenes to work on, for the most part he delivers, my only complaint is that he looks childish when he carries out some of the emotional scenes. He also does this pouty thing with his mouth that irks me for some reason.

One of the best intimate BLs
*happy ending for both couples*The story for me is kinda mediocre. However, it is carried by great expressive actors which I like. Mame, the writer/author, really has that theme of over-violence in her story which sometimes is too forced? I think the adding of kidnapping in PayuRain's case is just to add a kind of conflict to the already happy couple, but it made it quite awkward for me.
Prapai/Sky's story on the other hand (Sky's traumatic past), made the story flow with more sense. However, I felt that the quality of the production in their part of the season became more subpar than RainPayu one. Which I kinda felt sad about because the second story makes more sense to me.
I like the NC scenes though in the first one. They really feel so in love and there is no awkwardness, which for me is still quite rare in the industry. That kind of sexual compatibility.
Overall, I think the series is okay. Much kinda like Cutie Pie the series for me. Something I will rewatch in passing, but not because I love it overall. I still recommend readers to watch it though.

Overall Review
I really liked the story line , directing, lighting, music, views everything was perfect...i always read yaoi and watch bl dramas but u know what all thai bls are not that good like the acting skill or the story representing way are not perfect in al dramas. So i didn't have that much hope for this series even though it's so popular.....but after watching it I'm so happy that i watched it..i wanna rematch it aging but i can't because of my exams 🙃Now we should talk about the characters and the couples....
Both couples are so cute....The chemistry between both couples was so good...Both alphas are so cool and dominate🥵...p'payu is so handsome, his hair line makes me crazy every time🤤... rain is a cuteee bunny. I'm in love with sky too..he's so pretty and handsome in the same time but now I should go to the main point..there's this man "prapai" that i can't forgot😖...I can't even focus on my study..he's eyes are always full of love for sky...always noticing if sky is feeling good or not..love seems to be dripping from his eyes...of course I appreciate that the first couple's story line is too good. You can't skip a bit of their story instead during pai and sky's time I was a bit bored at first but then the story catched the flaw again..but honestly after the episode 13 I became a fan of the character "pai"...like the way he comforts his boyfriend, the way he takes care of him, the way his eyes always say he'll be by sky's side through thick and thin made me fall for this character...prapai is the perfect dream boyfriend for everyone...Fort really portrayed this character beautifully..I'm gonna miss them so much....❤️
That's my first time writing some thing about a drama so pardon my mistakes 😐😣

They have bikes
They have bikes. And they're hot in the racing suits. I love Prapai and Sky so much, Prapai is a cutie with Sky not rushing things when he realized Sky had past traumas (I know he's only doing the bare minimum but still and a lot of people don't do it so yeah). Payu and Rain are ok I guess, I don't really remember their half of the show. Was this review helpful to you?
I definitely recommend watching it, maybe just as an advice, watch it in a smaller period of time, not like me who didn't have time so left a big break in between some episodes and then didn't know what was going on :)) Definitely planning on rewatching it.

Charming and sexy, but overall not spectacular
It's full of tropes and it's cheesy, but has some very sexy intimate scenes and both pairs some degree of chemistry. There's drama with the second pairing that surrounds around one character's trauma, but no substantial plot anywhere in the series. Overall, worth watching for the cute moments. For me, the highlights of the series were Boss (Phayu) and Fort (Pai) without a doubt. Noeul as Rain is flat and uninteresting at best and downright cringe at worst, and is completely one-dimensional when it comes to writing. Peat has a naturally cute and funny take on his role as Sky, but cannot act during any of the emotional scenes, which pretty distracting and did the somewhat aspects of his storyline absolutely no justice. There's plenty about this series to nitpick, so if you have high standards, you will definitely have complaints.
The reasons I like this series are all relatively shallow. There's some tongue in the kisses (which is notoriously rare, if you're familiar with this genre) and it is sometimes charming.
If you have a few extra hours to binge this, go in with low expectations and you probably won't have a bad time. It's cozy and comfy and cute boys kiss, just don't prepare yourself for some kind of masterpiece.

WORTH OF WATCHING
Probably the most realistic BL drama i have watched, realistic view of sex and loving each other till their souls couldn't be without each other. Actors had so much chemistry on and off screen, both couples have amazing chemistry and sexual tension. I like how the sex scenes are not forced and comes naturally so does kiss scenes, i wish i could watch love in the air for the first time again! Probably will rewatch (i don't really like rewatching dramas).Boss and Noeul have so much chemistry between each other on screen and even more off screen, i hope i can see them in another drama again, i really wish them the best if they're really together, if not them i hope them long friendship because they're really good for each other.
Fort and Peat are amazing and funny duo, when i watched BTS of love in the air i almost cried of laughing, Peat is such a charming and funny person especially when he's with Fort, they're making me want to cry haha. Their chemistry is also something else, on the screen we can see Fort being so rough when it comes to sex scene with Peat but off screen Fort is really soft and helps him dress up ect.
This drama must be on your watch list!!

Plot? Never heard of her. Chemistry? We got buckets of that!
This drama's selling point is not it's plot. Literally what even is the plot? Debatable. However - when it comes to chemistry/intimacies, this show has it in spades.Things I didn't like: The plot bc where was it?? Dub/non-con scenes (not surprising for Thai drama but there was so much), completely glossing over sexual identity struggles, weird split between the two main couples which could have easily been woven together and it would have been less jarring.
Things I did like: The chemistry between all four leads is off the charts, specifically BossNoeul. Representations of kinks, safe sex, great kiss scenes, GREAT NC scenes.
Personally I actually enjoyed the last half (FortPeat) more than the first half (BossNoeul) even though I think BossNoeul have slightly better chemistry. I liked that FortPeat's half at least attempted to address sexual and relationship abuse and what that does to a person once they are trying to move on in their lives. However, even this was sloppily done and kind of all over the place.
I'd love to see all four leads in something that actually has a decent plot, because I think they all did a great job with what they had. It just wasn't a lot to work with. This is worth watching for the chemistry between the leads alone. It saved this from being completely unwatchable.

loved it ? ?
i never write reviews but had to make accounts and write one coz this series is super goodi loved both stories payu/rain and prapia/sky
both couple did great job even though my favorite is phayu/rain
1st couple payu/rain - BossNoeul
there story is easy going its happy, lovey dovey. Loved the story its simple yet beautiful. doesnt go too deep but story makes sense and some part of scene made me feel so relatable. the chemistry between BossNoeul is unbeatable, I mean there romance makes my tummy tickled. and love scene were on fire🔥 sorry to kinnporsche no one can beat the love scene. lets not talk about kissing scene gosh that look so intense i doubt if these two are actual couple or else they are really good kisser. lot of bl kiss were just lip touch or its awkward kiss, but these two kiss like they gonna eat each other🤣
both of them look so good together. payu looks so good and rain is so cute. no one can hate this couple.
2nd couple prapia/sky - FortPeat
there story is pretty intense, loved there acting. loved plot and storyline. i really like skys character. prapia is such a sweetheart and hot🥵 kiss and love scene were good 😊 felt bad for sky but happy that he end up having happy ending.
loved sky and rain friendship so real and genuine, everyone needs frd like sky ❤️
i wish both couple have there own series coz that felt so short. but overall loved it.
would recommend to everyone ❤️

one part is clearly better than the other..
now i do wanna say that this is an improvement on MAME's other work DSN. but you definitely still feel a lot of similiar troupes in her writing play out so be warned.PRODUCTION:
i really liked the cinematography - i also am really glad they cut the episodes to 45 minutes unlike DSN where they were an hour. i did have an issue with the music and sound quality in general. its clear that they didnt have the money to do a lot of ADR and sometimes the noise from the envoirment they are in just cuts in and out when they speak and its really distracting. (a good example is the scene where phayu shows up in the motorcycle outfit) i also just wasnt a fan of any of the music expect for the song that phayu sings to rain...
STORY:
(PART1) i loved the progression - i liked how it was sorta simple and sweet. i know there are some issues in the beginning with phayu and rain's relationship that would not apply irl but in the end i really loved the first 7 episodes. and i have already rewatched it and i plan to do so again in the future.
(PART2) maybe its because i liked part 1 so much that i just wanted to go back to phayu and rain. there are much more problematic elements in the 2nd part that i cant really get past esp in the beginning. the stuff in episode 13 is truly awful to watch and i really wish there was some kind of content warning for that. i feel lIke MAME's flaws as a writer came out a lot more in this part. the miscommunication is not cute, the brushing over truama was not cute. very similiar problems in DSN. i do think they are a little better in some ways but definitely not when it comes to how they handled sky's mental health.
CHARACTERS / ACTING:
rain (noeul) is such a loveable dork. i do think in part 2 and in the special episode he get flanderized a bit. i think he works better as a main character than a side character more adorable than annoying. noeul's acting is hit/miss - but i think for the parts that were important he did a good job esp his scenes with phayu. i feel like he could be a little more expressive though.
phayu (boss) was my favorite - idk how MAME rights these mellow-intimidating-but-sweet characters so well. all he wants is the best for rain - he is a very mature character and leads the relationship well. yes despite his bad choice in the beginning he ends up really being so sweet. i think a lot of it is thanks to boss' brilliant acting i really want to see him in more stuff in the future.
the two of them together is what makes part 1 so brillant. the chemistry is amazing and the intimacy just feels so natural. from their first meeting on screen i felt the connection and despite the flaws i think in the end they are one of my favorite bl couples. i know there isnt any confirmation on a season 2 but i would watch it for them because them navigating their relationship is my favorite and the soecual episode was not enough.
sky (peat) i definitely was shocked when he became the main character for part 2. i didnt super understand his motivations and it did take awhile for me to like sky. i feel like using his truama to make us feel bad was a bit iffy. i already liked his straight blunt attitude in part 1 but in part 2 he comes off a bit like an asshole sometimes. peat's acting is a little stiff but i feel like he got a good handle on it towards the end.
prapai (fort) is definitely my least favorite personality-wise. he is basically a leon (DSN) clone tbh. i never feel like the "playboy-turned-soft-by-certain-somone" is done interesting anymore and this is the 2nd time ive seen MAME do it and its the exact same way - there is literally no character progression - prapai cant stop thinking about sky and just suddenly is all over for him. i do wanna say fort kills it for the emotional scenes - his gentle crying broke me. and thats when i actually started to like him.
the two of them together are okay - i just feel in comparison to phayu and sky is almost unfair. maybe its because it actually takes so long for them to actually like each other but the passion just does not end up reaching the same level. but i do like their dynamic in the end and its a nice contrast in comparison to rain and phayu but i clearly like one more than the other.
OVERALL:
if these were 2 separate series i think it wouldve worked better because honestly they kinda feel super detached from each other. and the fact that phayu and rain's story fit so well together when it ends and you get to the kinda messy bits of sky and prapai i just miss them. but i wouldnt mind a season 2 if they did it the same way but preferably they should just break them into different series.

The Guilty Pleasure
Rated ~ 22.5/50 ~ 4.5I had just finished watching Not Me and was in desperate need of more motorbikes. I initially was going to ignore this because it's MAME but decided to watch it anyway.
I am not a fan of MAME. S*A appears in her work like a fetish but your one true love will heal you, and her female characters are guaranteed to be trash. It's quite sad.
But I was in a mood to turn my brain off and just be dazzled by all the pretty men and their motorbikes.
There's really nothing new here. Both stories follow the same narrative.
Story one - Genuis architect falls for naive young student and manipulates the situation to let him think student is pursuing him. They fall in love and have hot steamy sex. Kidnap episode for drama.
Story two - Naive student's so called bestie, despite the pair telling each other very little, is forced into having hot steamy sex with genuis architect's friend in order to get out. hm. Rich wealthy who happens to be the fastest biker, because he has to match the excellence of his friend, proceeds to stalk and force his way into a relationship before realising he's in love. The sassy bestie turns tsundere and then a meek kitten as we see his ptsd emerge, get retriggered, retraumatized by the ex and friends who assault him again, but being in love will make it all better.
Really... This is why I dont like MAME. It's not a hate wagon. There's a lot of issues happening here and surfaces in her work. The plot is absolutely wack.
But I watched with my brain off and just enjoyed the visuals. And I absolutely enjoyed the visuals. The actors are gorgeous. I wanted to fix pyah's hair a little but he kept it back for the most part so I dealt. The actor for Rain is stunningly beautiful and they kept putting him under warm lights, which lit up his eyes and skin tone. The scene in the kitchen, with the sunlight behind him is screensaver material.
The sex scenes were very heated and more like how het couples have sex which is probably why they are enjoyed so much. Anal is a little trickier to keep to a position so it has you thinking that the bottoms are really flexible and the tops are really big lol But I have to give credit to the actors for going full on with those scenes. I was a little turned on. Cant lie.
And that's all I can really say about this series LOL The actors are pretty, the luxury visuals are enjoyable and the sex scenes are hot.
I dont even remember the music.
