Such a great series! I really, really, really, really wish this had more episodes! There was so much more to explore, about the backgrounds and experiences of both Mimi and Tan. What I really loved was, the issues that they faced were so real, I am really glad they addressed that. I think the main problem Tan and Mimi faced between each other was expectations, because they had a mental image formed of the perfect person in their mind, the person in front of them became annoying, but that's not reality, and coming to terms with that was what was shown in this drama.
I really wish they would have explored the drama more.
Thinking back the premise is excellent, I don't have to think twice about what will drive the story forward. Although the DJ by night/rude classmate by day concept is kinda trope-ish the execution was so fresh and realistic!
Thinking back, the characters are really beautifully created, Mimi and Tan are different in so many different ways, Tan grew up lonely and unloved by family, while Mimi's family practically baby her unto this day, resulting in such contrast in their personalities, Tan is brash and can't look around at others to save his life, while Mimi is extremely sensitive and so affected by her surroundings.
But on the other hand similar too, they are both kinda loud when annoyed and both fall asleep in extremely similar ways, and I think (although its not explicitly shown in the drama) from the conversations they have over radio, they can really sit down and talk, which i think is a precious thing to share.
The execution was in a troll-ish/comedic vein, and I was practically smiling every second, but I seriously would not mind watching the same premise in a more serious light for 10-16 episodes.
Regardless, Thanks so much to the production team, for bringing such memorable characters to the screen for us.
And 10/10 acting by Singto and Jamie from beginning to end. 10/10 for the chemistry as well!
I smiled the whole way (And even squealed several times). Looking forward to their future work!??????

The story begins with the second girl that lives in the dorms. She is my fav female actor, P'Jamie, that plays the role of mimi. A shy, innocent and scaredy cat teen that starts to live on her own. She stumble across a radio show at 3am when she was scared of ghosts in her room. The host is .....Singto (my sole reason I watch this.) That plays Titan calms her and she continues every night to tune in at 3am. At school she met a rude boy who tease her all the time and gets her in trouble. They got close and he found out that it was her who tune on the radio asking all the time for his identity.
I watched one episode a week and it was definitely worth it. I will not spoil it but ofcourse she loves both traits at the end. The rude one and calming voice.
One comment that I love at the last episode was by @lashieemae which says...."we may not have proper kissing scene for Tah and Mimi but there is just something about a forehead kiss. It shows that Tan respects and loves mimi to the fullest and cares for her deeply....." If u want to know what she mean watch Midnight Fantasy,ka.

Good mood and Singto
To be honest this series is objectively not very amazing. The scenario is very ordinary and sometimes cliché.But still, I loved Midnight Fantasy and these four episodes left me each week with a big smile on the face!
I must say that I mostly loved this drama because of Singto. I just loved him, I loved his character (his acting was really great in so many scenes, the sad and the funny ones). Even in a little drama like this he shines. For me he's really one of the best actor of the GMMTV. I really want him to continue to improve himself and I would like to see him in more serious series. Seeing him fight with Off was pure happiness. I also really liked Gunsmile (whereas it's not often the case I must say), he is better when he doesn't play idiot/funny character. I didn't really like the main actress and her character that was sometimes annoying. But it was still okay because of certain someone (SINGTO).
The last episode was very lovey dovey but it was still very pleasant to watch. I was hoping for more than a forehead kiss but whatever ahah.
Ah, did I say that Singto is really handsome? :P

Where do I even start?? Ok so this is my first Thai drama and I can't wait until I watch more dramas like this. Tbh, I'm kinda bored of the long and predictable dramas out there and this is the perfect one for anyone that's looking for a short and sweet drama.Story:
The story was a mixture or unexpected and predictable events. It was also leaning more towards the American "A Cinderella Story" vibes. That being said, the plot was absolutely amazing! The characters and their stories made the plot so much better and unique. I know a lot of people are upset that it was only 4 episodes long, but I was personally happy with the length. It was simple and not over complicated like the usual dramas with constant arguments and problems. This was short and simple and I loved it! Another thing that I loved about this was the amount of life lessons they included in such a small plot. My favourite quote in the show was "He can't be nice and perfect all the time. If you want to keep this relationship, you need to learn to accept both sides of him, the good and bad." Usually in dramas, they make the ML seem so kind and perfect once the relationship starts, but I loved that they showed a more realistic version of a male in a relationship along with the realistic relationship advice for us to learn from.
Acting/Cast:
This was honestly the part that brought my review down a bit. Although their chemistry was amazing and I loved the cast and characters, there were some scenes where the acting was a bit off. Other than that, the acting and cast was perfect!
Music:
Since the story is about a DJ, there was some music involved. I loved all of the music in it.

A Cute and Quick Show to Watch!
For a show that only has four episodes, this was really well done and surprisingly deep! The writers certainly didn't hold back on this, didn't make it overly cutesy and conflict-free in order to fit within only four episodes. The care and depth they worked into the show made it very funny, romantic, and enjoyable to watch. The actors in the show were phenomenal. Singto is, of course, a joy to watch on screen and so fantastic as an actor. His duality between DJ Titan's sweet, romantic personality and Tan's more abrasive one was performed very well, and as always he handled the deeper parts of the show wonderfully. Jamie as our female lead was so great, too! I'm surprised she hasn't had more lead roles yet— she's adorable, very funny, and brought a sweet naivety to Mimi's character that I loved.
The side actors were very striking and memorable, as well. Off and Mild's cameos made me itch to start their GNR series, Richy-Rich, ASAP. Gunsmile did a very good job within the show, as well (seriously, how does he not have his own series yet??).
Overall, this was cute and sweet and I'm very glad I watched this!

I love the whole hidden identity aspect of the show, and the message of "love is love no matter the person" is great. They did it as a metaphor for bisexuality but also for someone you know in two different aspects. Mimi has to come to terms with that fact that Tan says the same stuff as Titan, just not as sweet and softly. She has to realize that he's still the same person, but no one is going to be sweet and soft all the time. If the show was longer, we could have gotten more about the trauma of his friend dying and his anger at his friend,. We could have gotten more about Mimi's parents and her braving her fears. But overall I'm glad it wasn't drawn out.I was originally scared to watch this show because it said "Mean Male Lead" and I didn't want it to be about some asshole guy who still gets the girl despite treating her like shit. However, Singto's character isn't so much mean as he is brash and blunt. He helps people and is a hard worker, and Mimi can see all the good qualities eventually. Even when he is coarse, he's not nearly as bad as I expected hm to be. I was very surprised but also very happy about it. I'm also happy that the line about her being cute without her glasses was fake. As someone who wears glasses, do not tell them they look cuter without them.

This is a little bit of everythinga comedy a drama and a romance all rolled into One
The story starts out with a girl who is
pampered by her father and basically scared of everything
she turns to the DJ late a night for comfort
the DJ is played by Singto who is going through his own drama
the DJ lost his best friend in an accident
Best friend played by "love sick" star Phun/White
the whole story is only 4 esp isodes
is a little short to really have characters develop
but Singto delivers in every scene
even plays a double of himself like a split personality.

I enjoyed both sides of Singto's character so much! As alluring and suave as DJ Titan is, the rude-mouth, hot-headed, confrontational Tan is so refreshing. I'm used to seeing Singto play characters that hold their emotion in until they explode, so to see him so unfiltered with straight-up savage dialogue is such a treat. I did get the impression he was trying very hard to harden his voice for some of the more caustic remarks, but that just might because his soft-spoken persona is basically fixed in my mind.
I'm used to seeing exaggerated facial expressions in KDramas and Thai dramas, but Singto is the master of subtly. You really have to watch his acting closely and it blows you away when you see how much emotion he can express with just his eyes. His acting has grown so much and seriously shows no signs of slowing down. I just wish my attention wasn't torn from keeping up with subtitles :(
Jamie was adorable! There were moments where I found Mimi a bit annoying but never enough that she's unlikable. Plus, if she didn't have the personality she did (being a bit nosy and a chatty scaredy-cat), the plot probably wouldn't have progressed as fast as it did. In fact, it was a necessity for her to have those characteristics. My only issue with her overall is "Honey, that is NOT how you wear glasses! They go on the bridge of your nose, not the tip!" I'm a bit Singto-biased so it's hard for me to say if Singto and Jamie had chemistry. My favorite scenes were when Mimi was with her Dad or her best friend.
Lastly, Off and Singto! OMG! I cannot get enough of their verbal combat. It shows that these two are really good friends. Their scenes together were so natural. Off's acting blew me away. Like damn, he was amazing in Theory of Love but the small scenes he had in this series stands out! I can't wait to watch Girl Next Room: Richy Rich for Off and Mild.

Arguably better than the first part, but with fewer episodes, which didn't allow the romance to have the intensity that it should. Nevertheless, it was well constructed, with a cure storyline and a refreshing plot. The main couple had chemistry and there were a lot of funny scenes not only between them, but between the leads and the secondary characters as well. The characters' background was explored in-depth and it added a better perspective to the characters and their stories. The performances, finally, were top notch from all the actors and actresses of the cast.
So, overall, seven out of ten for the second part of the Girl Next Room series.

A short series worth watching
Singto act as a character with two very different personalities during different times, one as a nice and kind DJ, one as a student with a hot temper. His character with depth too, his childhood, and his experience with his friends that make him become a person today. Singto acting in this series is really good at portraying the character. The natural and smooth switching between the personalities making me think that the character is realistic even with those contradicting personalities. And also, the story is a comedy, making me happy when seeing those interesting interactions between the characters. The story of Singto in the past adds some depth to this really short series making it a series not only with fun but also touching.

The second instalment of the Girl Next Room series is a sure hit. It’s funny, heartbreaking and heartfelt. This instalment is about Mimi, a girl who has several phobias and a radio DJ who begin talking at three in the morning due to Mimi’s fear of ghosts. They begin talking every night and slowly begin falling love, but what Mimi doesn’t know is DJ Titan is actually Than, her classmate with whom she has a mutual hate.THE STORY:
The story is very well written. The parts about Than, Peemai and Dausou were extremely heartfelt. Mimi begins to talk to Titan, and begins to fall in love with him, but when she discovers that Than is Titan, she is shocked. When asked who she likes, Than or Titan, she is unable to choose. Only after hearing Than’s past does she realise she loves Than, the one behind the mic, despite his persona.
THE ACTING:
The actors were amazing. Every single one of them. You rarely find series’ with such actors so it is a must watch. Special shoutout to Gun , because he seems to be in every GMM production and always manages to play his character perfectly, however different they may be.
THE PRODUCTION:
Production was perfection! All the storylines were handled very well, especially the Bi/Pansexual storyline of Mimi’s best friend. That is the representation we deserve!
THE OST:
I didn’t pay much attention to the OST, as it was quite forgettable.
THE NEGATIVE:
The only negative was seeing how Mimi treated Than, saying that she loved DJ Titan and not Than, despite them being the same person. At times Mimi got too annoying for me, but despite this a very enjoyable story.
THE ENDING:
Quite a satisfying ending. Despite the fact that Mimi and Than got together, the more satisfying story was Than and Peemai becoming friends again. No hate, but it was obvious that Mimi and Than would get together from the beginning, but seeing Than and Peemai put together their differences after the trauma they experienced really broke me.
I hope this review was helpful to those contemplating on this series. It certainly is a must watch and will not disappoint you. Thank You!
