Brotherhood not BL
Contrary to what some people imply this show is not a BL. And truthfully, as much as I love BLs I didn't miss it.From the beginning I was sucked in to this show. The characters are fun, the story is full of unsual twists. It was sweet, funny, endearing and very engaging.
Our lives are full of meaningful, platonic relationships. This story is a wonderful tale of friendship, family and brotherhood. It shouldn't be de-valued because the brothers don't want to snog each other.
If I had one complaint it would be that Chu Yi is over the top in competence and curtesy. But his irreverant brother Beichen balances him out
I really loved this show. It was entertaining and enjoyable. Since this left things a bit unresolved I really hope there is a season 2.

Brilliant way to study Hanfu
I just watched all 24 episodes back to back, this is a brilliant show and hoping there is a follow on series. the cast for this show could not of been better picked. I'm English and i have learnt a lot about ancient Chinese customs.. well done to the cast and crew of this great series... Zhang kai tai and Chen Teng Yue who play the main parts should be proud of this great show and this is on my must see list. I have also learnt about Hanfu culture which i really didn't know about before and has intrigued me to study the culture furtherWas this review helpful to you?
Fairly Enjoyable
So for starters it honestly took me quite awhile to finish this. It would get super good then there'd be a few episodes in a row that would cause me to slow down. There were some cute and funny parts with some pretty good visuals too lol If you're a fan of Chinese history you could really enjoy this! As someone who loves history in general it was pretty cool I actually learned a few things but what makes me give such an average rating isn't cause it was bad but because it had a pretty abrupt/cliff hanger ending with parts throughout the series that were boring (minimal but still there). I loved the brotherly love (NOT to be confused with BL or even Bromance) and the friendships through thick and thin. Toward the end it got a LOT better and the romance was pretty fluffy/sweet. I would still recommend and I hope you allEnjoy...

Amazing Bromance between New Brothers
I though it was light summer funny drama that has no good story or just goofy young men having fun but I was wrongthis drama is so good ,, it's not melodramatic or sad in any way but it has it's deep meaningful scenes that will make you cry for the leads also the relationship between the two brothers is everything and it was so realistic how much they show care for each other as any good siblings do ,, even when they fight ,, they fight with care because they are brothers
I loved their unique characters ,,, one who is over the top energetic and funny ,, the other is so polite and weird in a good way
I loved them both ,, especially the older one he cared and loved his brother so much in so many scenes I felt sorry for him especially towards the end ,, because his life was all about sharing work and home with his younger brother
the younger brother is so polite and so respectful towards everyone that he chose to get separated from his older brother just to care for his own father who needed him ,, I felt so sad at the end because it's somehow very realistic
life separates loved ones and family members all the time
I recommend this drama so much if you like family relationships and friendship
there was a romantic side story in the drama that has little connection with the main leads ,, it wasn't very good actually
it was like a filler side story not much there ,, I didn't pay much attention to it
