Decent one time watch -Its so short. Just try .U may like it

Its a decent short BL drama. I dont find much chemistry between MLs.Story is a worth for a long 5 episode drama atleast.Love bw the main couple is stopped even before the starting point of their relationship. There is no character development also happneing due to to short episode size.So we are not attached to the characters most.Climax also same cliche happy ending without any details. So many things are lacking that stop us to liking the drama more.
if u want small intervel bw long dramas then u can check this out this 70 min drama series.

Stellar

The chemistry between the lead characters are insane.. I have watched a lot of BL series and this will definitely go down as one of the best there is... the chemistry between the leads reminded me a lot of the actors from the series ''Addicted'' this was really good and I think they managed to tell the story very well and it felt completed even though each episode was less than 11 minutes it never felt short.. I would really love for them to make a thai version of this and stretch it out even longer

Really really hoping Korea will invest more on BL !!!

Where to start? Let me first explain my background on BL, I just started watching BL in mid 2020 bcs of the hype on 2gether the series which I loved so much. I always prefer easy going storyline, jealousy kinda type of angst and fluffy ending after a long push and pull from the main leads. That’s always my cup of tea of fanfics. With South Korea being one of the most non LGBT+ Culture, I kinda skeptical on how this BL going to be, will the story be good, how about chemistry? (Which is my no.1 main aspect in everything I watch), will My time be worth it? And guess what?? Korean dramas never disappoint !!! This is so good ! I even love it more than 2gether! The chemistry was insane, I got goosebumps. The storyline is simple but heart aching, the budget pretty typical web drama so no complaints, AND THE ACTING !!! Goshhh kudos! It surprised me so much that even after several days after watching this series I still can’t get it out my mind. I really like the small habit of Taejoo, and that scene where they laid in bed and Taejoo asking for a hug but Gook refused at first but after Taejoo said he was sad, Gook just couldn’t refused him anymore and hugged him so tenderly (???). And the part where Gook shampooing Taejoo also very intimate in PG13 way ahhhhhhh and so so many more! The jealous looks from Taejoo, their pinning/fighting in a gym or something ughhh feels !!! Overall I really really recommend this to anyone who wants to see and feel what love is. My only complaint is that this is too short, I’m addicted so I want more, but sadly again, this is not Thailand’s BL, this is SK’s BL so I bet on my life there won’t be s2 ?

Short Series with Amazing Chemistry between Leads

A surprising BL entry from South Korea, given the general homophobic attitudes there. This series avoids all the pitfalls common to the BL genre. The story is very straight forward and I can't say it's original because it's realistic in that way: boys fall in love, parents intervene, boys get back together. The characters are distinctive, well-acted and not stereotypes. Both protagonists are really cute. It's a slow burn series but it only has 8 10-minute episodes. The leads have amazing chemistry. They end up happily together although it's only at the very end of the series, after being 3 years apart and much heartbreak. There isn't much time to touch on much but the relationship between the protagonists but homophobia (from the father) and matter-of-fact acceptance is touched upon. Both protagonists are never established as gay or bi but given they're only in high school, I think it's reasonable. The most annoying character has to be the fujoshi owner of the restaurant although I must say it's an accurate portrayal. No, gay men don't owe you insights into their sex lives.

SHORT BUT SWEET

story- with such limited minutes and episodes , this series managed to develop the plot to such lengths

acting/cast- i can say the acting is commendable considering that the story required a variety of emotions. you can really see in their eyes what they are feeling and their chemistry is phenomenal, it's burning. for the cast, i was really surprised that they have a 9 year age gap, they look like of the same age making the casting great.
*edit - while reading other reviews i agree that the acting of tae joo with his father was kind of cringey

music- considering this drama is short in terms of hours, it contained a lot of ost which is effort. and the songs are actually good as well.

rewatch value- becuase this drama is not that long and the plot progress really fast i think you will not be bored if you are gonna decide to watch it again

Very disappointing after the many positive reviews

I was really excited to watch this because many people were recommending it and the storyline seemed interesting but I was really disappointed. I know that many will disagree with me on this but for me this series was going nowhere. There was almost no progression until the last few episodes and then they split and got together in the end. I was really bored watching this since as I said nothing happened and also the “so great chemistry” as many said was something I couldn’t see. I felt absolutely nothing watching these two and I felt like they barely talked. For me not a got series but everyone has their own opinion.

This kdrama is a miracle from god. I honestly don't know how to describe how much I love it.
The casting was CRAZY, Han Gi Chan potrayed Tae Joo really well and the role just perfectly fit like a cinderella shoe same goes to Jang Eui Soo playing Kang Gook. The two's chemistry was just *chefs kiss* I honestly cannot gather enough words to describe how amazing their acting and chemistry were.. It's crazy.
The storyline (although somewhat heartbreaking) was so cool, I thought it was going to be somewhat stereotypical BUT THEY TRUELY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It was also filled with so many heart fluttering scenes >A<, I would like to hug the writer for being an incerdible human being I honestly love her/him/them.
DON'T GET ME STARTED WITH THE MUSIC. THE OSTS OF THIS DRAMA WERE AMAZING, EVERY SINGLE OST WAS BETTER THAN THE OTHER I SWEAAARRRR I'M SO HAPPY ABOUT THE OSTS. AAAAAA
This is the type of drama EVERYONE WANTED and I honestly love everything about it, I'm so so so happy that this drama exists istg ㅠㅅ ㅠ
My one and only complain is just how short it is BUT IT'S OKAY SINCE THE MOVIE VERSION IS GONNA BE OUT SOON YAYAYAYYA EUGSHKIGEHOD WOOO
I'm so sorry, I'm kind of losing my mind because it's too good-

This is perfection. Worth of every second. The story and the actors are made for this. It just clicks. Actors chemistry is so natural, relax and true. I was feeling a lot of while watching this (trust me, A LoT).
The story just takes you in, you are living within the story. Every scene has a meaning and every moment are all very meaningful. It is short but that might be the secret for it being so good, it is very compact (secretly hoping it would have been a lot longer~)
You just hope them ThE very best.

I wasn't really interested in BL dramas until this one fine piece of art. I had absolutely no idea that i will love this so much. let me tell you if you haven't watched any BLs before ,start with this one and you will never be the same again.I dived into this one without knowing anything about the story( which is rare for me) and fortunately i was hooked from the 1st ep. I was so into it that i just couldn't believe each episode was only 12 or 13 mins long, with a total 8 episodes.

The story is about Tae Joo and Gang Gook who are childhood friends and also gang gook is Tae Joo's bodyguard. Tae Joo belongs from a wealthy family and gang gook is hired by Tae Joo's dad as his bodyguard to keep him out of trouble . But there is more to their relationship than just friendship. the way it is shown to the viewers how they care for each other is so subtle yet so powerful . You can just feel the tension between them from the way they look at each other. There is nothing too dramatic in the whole series, just pure captivating acting. The story is not stretched at all which works best to binge it. The OSTs play a huge part in making this my fav too;the right song at the right time to enhance the scenes. When i watched it ,it was still airing so the anticipation was a plus. If you are tired of the usual stuff or watched some heavy drama or just bored , believe me it's a breath of fresh air .

So along with beautiful acting, out of the world chemistry between the leads and OSTs that you'll surely repeat till you get sick of them , you also get a PERFECT ENDING with a sweet kiss that works as the icing on the cake.

WHERE YOUR EYES LINGER is one of the most beautiful dramas I've seen. And I loved WHY R U and UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN. But there is something so real and raw about this one that has my heart. It has received my highest rating thus far. And for this drama to come out of Korea??? I am so proud of S. Korea right now--because this one is a hit.

Everything about this drama was amazing--the writing, the acting, the music, the actors. I believe WHERE YOUR EYES LINGER is a love letter to BL and BL fans everywhere. It is beautifully drafted and you can tell some real thought went into the scenes and the acting.

I am in love with Eui Soo - I barely recognized him from Memorist - but after this I am such a fan! Gi Chan is new to me but I really hope he gets more roles. He was fantastic in this! That scene before Tae Joo went away broke my soul so hard--but I regret nothing!

Over the past few months I have basically given up on BL dramas. But this one has me wondering if I've given up too soon. I was glued to my screen, couldn't stop watching.

I am adding this one to my must rewatch list. You have to watch it!

Tae straight out harassing Kang

Yes, you read it right.
This drama made me so uncomfortable. Firstly, on the positive side, the main characters are gorgeous and their chemistry is great.
Now the problem, for me, was the story.

Tae is awfully possessive, jealous and often times his behaviour borderlines with or is pure harassment. And all of that is directed towards Kang.

Now, it all went down from the moment Tae told Kang that he should be happy, because he can eat chicken and play games with him whenever he wants. This is what Tae told Kang after Kang just got HIT by Tae's father for Tae's actions (The implied long-term abuse here is definitely not Tae's fault, that is all on his father). But. Kang is getting hit, probably quite often, in Tae's stead and Tae tells him, HE SHOULD BE HAPPY? What the hell.

Now it only gets worse. For some reason, when you touch Kang's ear, he goes, well kinda like he just got drugged or pulled into a huge trauma. We can see, and hear directly from him!, he hates when someone touches his ear and Tae KNOWS IT. So what does he do? He touches his damn ear and Kang looks completely out of it and scared. That is not OK. And Tae tries to do the same thing AGAIN.

Now to the worst. Tae pretends that Kang broke his arm, so he can get with him into shower. Get Kang to wash his hair, which was still kind of like ok, I can deal with htis, but then Taetries to force Kang to get naked and wash too? With him? And even after Kang says pretty obviously NO, Tae is still trying to force himself on Kang? That's just...no.

In later instances, you get to see how possessive and jealous Tae is. He is going through Kangs phone with absolutely no permission.
When Kang goes on a date with a girl, Tae gets super jealous, while he himself sleeps around with god knows how many girls. Tae then proceeds to go on Kang's date and then starts insulting Kang.

So yeah, I only made it until this scene in the fourth episode, at this point, it honestly is not worth it for me to continue watching, since Kang looks uncomfortable and scared almost always when he is around Tae. Also NO ONE IN THE DRAMA IS ADDRESSING THIS. (Well, maybe the girl Kang was on date with tried to implied this toxicity in their relationship, but that might be just me reading too much into this).

It might be possible that they figure this out in later episodes but for me, I don't want to see anymore of this.

How do you even make 10 minute episodes slow burn?

I probably have a good headline in one of the reviews, so I will look for it as I look for the reviews. Which is going to take me forever because it has been forever. It gets an 8.3 out of 10 from me. I am a dumbass, and I just realized that you can go to the episode tab and find your reviews and not scroll through all of them and get sidetracked.

I started this on June 22, 2023, and finished it today, October 17, 2023. Its been a while, so I am going through the reviews. I am going to be honest; I wasn't emotionally invested enough until the end, so I don't know anyone's names, and its very embarrassing. I was confused to start it off. Kang Gook and Han Tae Joo had the spoiled brat and just "puts up with" dynamic, and I could get behind that, so it was a pretty good start, and we had the whole thing with the ears, which they didn't really touch on past the first few episodes because I forgot about it.

I watched the next episode on August 3rd. Damn, I spaced this one out. I was surprised that Tae Joo didn't break his back with Kang Gook through him on the ground like a rag doll, bro. I was confused about why I hadn't finished it. It was so short, but I couldn't get into it, and that's what took me forever to finish it. They were making the 10-minute episodes slow-burn. It was crazy.

Once again, I was complaining about the 10 minute episodes feeling very long and hard to get through, and I couldn't even remember what happened in them because they were so short and I watched them so spread out, so I was struggling because it also wasn't really that interesting. They weren't doing a whole bunch, and it was just one-sided love on Kang Gook's part. It was getting annoying.

I was complaining about the long 10-minute epilogues again. It was getting to my head, bro. They tried to have a plot, but it had so many holes in it that it was hard to have one, and they just end up sitting there and nothing gets done. They only get stuff done in the last 2 minutes of the 10 minute episodes, which makes it unbearable to watch. They should have filled the earlier episode with the same amount of plot as the last few, and I would have finished it sooner than I did.

And today I set out to finally finish this very long show. Episode 5 was the first good one since the first episode. The dodgeball game was very cute, and it symbolized how their relationship is going throughout the show up until this point. Tae Joo being jealous was very funny, just because of the way he acts and how his personality is. I just think its funny. And seeing the character act out of character with smiling and laughing was actually very cute and made me gush. Kang Gook kept getting his feelings played by Tae Joo throughout the whole thing, and he only keeps putting up with his shit and coming back to him because its his job.

The acting got better towards the end, and so did the plot. Tae Joo was going to get kidnapped and sent away, and then they would relinquish their true feelings for each other. Too predicale. Kang Gook is a dumbass, bro. I understand where he is coming from, but he finally likes you back and realizes your true personality, and you shattered his heart into a million pieces. The confession scene was good; it gave me chills.

The fight scene was one of the best I have seen in a while; it was pretty realistic, and good for them for making it like that. Bro was fighting for his love like his life depended on it, technically, because Tae Joo is his life. They can endure so much more than they know, and this episode showed that.

They really got their happy ending robbed from them. Too many shows are doing that now, bro. Someone gets sent off to usually England, and they have a shitty reconnection, and the show just freaking ends, bro. It gets on my nerves. This show definitely turned around for the better. I am going to have a hard time finding all of the episodes because it has been so long, but they changed this for the better, and I am glad they did, because I was not going to get through it if they didn't. Good for them despite their happy ending of getting robbed. I would recommend it because the last few epiodes were actually pretty good. That's it. okay bye!
