great acting. surprisingly good for youg actors. great directing .really dissapointed by the lenghth of episodes. watch it ..re watch it and i would have loved a season 2 .although its not packed with sexual scenes it does break boundries in its own wright. diid i say great acting? the fun thing for me was it was clear they loved each other but they did not actually realise it which might seem surprising but this is how it actually plays in real life as well .so i wont waste my time but saying this . watch it have fun ,be frustrated cause the episodes are so short ..but i expect much more will come for these 2 actors after this project . very talented .the music also is grest and the supporting characters mix well with the main line

Work of Art !! ???

Honestly, my expectations were not that high since it was a K-Bl, and as we know Korea is a very conservative country up to this day. I was also preparing my heart for addicted part 2.

It was everything my heart needed

The story: The story had a good plot, master/bodyguard. I honestly like the story flow, didn't put unnecessary drama or it was not accelerated which I appreciate. For a ten-minute episode series, it was great in conveying their story and development.

Acting/Cast: Honestly, both actors were completely new faces to me, I thought I would get a cringe, awkward acting, boy!, I was wrong. The impressive portrayal of characters from both actors made me feel all the emotions. They just don't speak their lines, they express does emotions. I really have nothing bad to say about their acting. Let's not even get started on the visual both actors are top-notch visuals. I will love to see more from them, they left a mark with their acting.

Rewatch: ABSOLUTELY, I have myself rewatched it. There is one episode worth watching more all of them are great to rewatch. I especially love that last scene where they reunited, it shows so much emotion, I couldn't hold back but be in love with this short sweet well directed, and scripted series.
All emotions that needed to be portrayed were portrayed to the fullest

Heart Rating: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ / ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I am excited to see if there are more K-Bl on the way.

This BL series is indeed wonderful! It was a mixture of sweetness and botterness that compliments with each other and there is some spiciness added to it to fuel the intesity of the show. The story was perfect, it has a very good pacing, thinking that it only has 8 episodes! I really commend how well the story was establish throughout the show, it was very well shown and the developmeng of each characters where vivid and very smooth which is really good. I love how smooth the story went even though it was trimmed to 8 episodes. Very well done! One thing I would have liked to see in the show was the family background of Tae-joon and the development of him and his dad.

I love the acting of every character. They all did well in portraying their roles, as well as delivering the exact emotions and feelings of the characters. I love how the drama between the lead couple was executed, it was not too dramatic, it was the right exact amount of drama I wanted.

This a must watch show. People will be really hooked to it because of the plot and story. It was good to the hurt, a dramatic but not that much exaggerated.

I WANT MORE!!!

I swear the only bad thing about this drama was how short it was. I LOVED THIS!!! As soon as I was done I looked up the recommendations.

STORY:
I don't normally watch BL dramas so I can't say if it's cliché or not. I can say that I was in my feelings from start to finish! I couldn't decide which character was right and which one was wrong so I kept yelling at both of them. (Don't judge me.)

ACTING/CAST:
Casting was great. It's kind of hard to explain but it seemed like their faces were their personalities. They didn't have to say anything you could just tell.

MUSIC:
Not memorable

REWATCH VALUE:
Yes. That is my number

1 small step for us, 1 big step for SK hallyu (or at least thats what i keep hearing)

one word: symbolism!

What this show symbolises is the possible emergence of BLs to the kdrama scene. It makes me so happy!^^. For a show like this—8 episodes, each averaging about 13 minutes, it manages to pack so many emotions. I literally cannot find any fault with this show besides its length, and the less than stellar story-line.

It's basic at most, and uninspiring at best, but for a project like this, they didn't need a groundbreaking storyline. what really carried this entire web-series was the actors.

Han Gi Chan did a pretty amazing job, for his first acting role. I've seen him Produce X 101, and I would have never imagined he'd do this good a job. Of course, bits were still awkward, but you can tell he worked hard, and that he tried to be as believable as possible. His character Han Tae Joo is very expressive, and HGC showed every bit of that as he could. I'm actually so proud of him! I watched it in reverse order (watched where your eyes linger first, then popped into produce x 101 to see how gi chan was doing before this blew up) and i honestly can't wait to see where his career takes him! He can easily play other high school roles, and I'd definitely watch them ^^

Jang Eui Soo, this is my first time watching one of his works, but I'd say he did a great job too. The actors really carried this show, and even though I wouldn't mind a S2, I can certainly die happy with this S1 alone. Overally, this is definitely worth your (short) time! Give it a watch, and if you can, support it on Viki and not pirating sites if you can help it TT.

have fun watching!~

heart wrenching

if i'm gonna be honest, a lot of k-bl drama that i watched ended up being a disappointment for me. but this one is just perfect.

this drama got me hooked from the start. it's childhood-friends to lovers type thing but one of them is bodyguard for the other. you can feel the pining and yearning. it's heart-wrenching and heart-fluttering at the same time.

however, i feel a bit put-off by the ending.

i want more. i need more. i need to know what happens to them after the ending. it feel like the writer leave us hanging.

Loved this BL!

This BL was very sweet and the actors did a wonderful job. There was nothing too crazy about this BL, they kept it nice and simple. I didn't find any of the scenes cringe. The chemistry was okay, I think they're cute together. The main actors are very handsome by the way, I'm obsessed with the both of them lol. I liked that there was a happy ending. I kind of wish there was a part 2 but it's completely fine, it's not that necessary because the ending was sweet. Overall it's a nice BL but I wouldn't rate it a 9 or 10. But it is worth watching.

Must Watch !!! A Captivating BL Drama that Delivers Emotional Depth and Compelling Performances

"Where Your Eyes Linger" is a gripping BL (Boys' Love) drama that beautifully explores love, friendship, and self-discovery complexities. With its well-written storyline, compelling characters, and superb performances, this Korean web series delivers an emotionally charged narrative that captivates the audience from start to finish.

The series revolves around the lives of Han Tae-joo (Han Gi-chan) and Kang-gook (Jang Eui-soo), who have been best friends since childhood. As they navigate through adolescence, they find their bond tested when their feelings for each other start to transcend friendship. However, their relationship faces challenges due to societal expectations, personal insecurities, and the presence of another character, Seo Jin-woo (Choi Kyu-ri), which further complicates the dynamics between Tae-joo and Kang-gook.

One of the strengths of "Where Your Eyes Linger" lies in its well-developed characters. Han Gi-chan and Jang Eui-soo deliver powerful performances as Tae-joo and Kang-gook, respectively. The actors successfully convey the internal struggles and conflicting emotions their characters experience, bringing depth and authenticity to their portrayals. Their on-screen chemistry is palpable, creating genuine moments of tenderness and vulnerability.

The series handles the delicate theme of same-sex relationships with sensitivity and realism. It delves into the challenges faced by Tae-joo and Kang-gook, who grapple with their burgeoning feelings in a society that may not readily accept their love. By exploring the characters' internal conflicts and external pressures, "Where Your Eyes Linger" raises important discussions about societal expectations, self-acceptance, and the courage to defy norms.

The pacing of the drama is well-executed, maintaining a steady momentum throughout its eight episodes. Each episode reveals more about the character's backstories and motivations, keeping the audience invested in their journey. The series effectively balances intense emotional moments with lighthearted interactions, showcasing the intricacies of teenage relationships and the challenges of coming to terms with one's true self.

Visually, "Where Your Eyes Linger" is beautifully shot, with vibrant cinematography that enhances the emotional impact of the story. The soundtrack complements the mood of each scene, adding an additional layer of depth to the viewing experience.

While "Where Your Eyes Linger" is a remarkable BL drama, it could have benefited from further exploration of certain supporting characters and subplots. Some aspects of the story feel underdeveloped, leaving a few questions unanswered. However, these minor shortcomings do not significantly detract from the overall quality and enjoyment of the series.

In conclusion, "Where Your Eyes Linger" is a must-watch BL drama that adeptly portrays the challenges of self-discovery and forbidden love. With its compelling storyline, brilliant performances, and thought-provoking themes, it leaves a lasting impact on its viewers. Fans of the genre will find themselves deeply engaged in the lives of Tae-joo and Kang-gook, rooting for their happiness and eagerly anticipating each new episode.

Bodyguard x Boss BL story mixed with a lot of pining for?! Sign me in !

A satisfying mini-series showcasing a nice BL story between a rich spoiled young heir and his bodyguard / childhood friend. This trope leads to a lot of pining from both characters and to some exciting conflict as jealousy arise.

It was a quite short show so the intrigue and the few secondary characters were not that deep or developed but there was still some pleasant growth to follow between the 2 main leads.

The chemistry between the 2 leading actors was overall great as well as the acting: there was not a lot of steamy scenes but still some satisfying skinship, especially during their judo bouts which were literally oozing sexual tension.

I would recommend this to people looking for a dose of fluffy stuff with good looking guys fighting their feeling and longing for each other.

She really came and you know what she did? THAT.

Mama, you just gotta leave it to the Koreans to make a proper BL drama.

In such conservative society like South Korea's, it is quite rare to come across LGBTQ+ related media. I feel like I can name just a handful of these queer works because there really aren't that many in the first place, so I am quite excited to see South Korea taking the steps to bring more LGBTQ+ content to their popular media. And this the good shit right here.

The story is absolutely captivating -- a beautiful angst with the right amount of everything that makes any drama successful. I mean you got romance, action, comedy, unrequited love, suspense, fear, you name it. It was really surprising to see so many of these things being cleverly comprised in such short episodes. It was so good I couldn't even mind the fact that it was set in a school -- I come from Thai BLs and the school drama is an extremely tired trope that needs to be prohibited. In all honesty, it's really hard to find something bad with this drama.

The acting was superb. This time, I am only focusing on the two leads we got because it's truly all about them to the point that other actors were just there to get the plot moving (all the actors were good, let's at least give them that well deserved credit). Kang Gook and Tae Joo were, in lack of a better word, a BL dream come true. Gosh, they killed it. The chemistry, the tension, the desire, just every feeling was very palpable and well executed. Seeing Kang Gook trying to keep his composure when he's alone in a room with Tae Joo was captivating and had me at the edge of my seat.

In all honesty, the fact that this drama hasn't been picked up for a full hour-long episodes remake is homophobic. I can see this gaining more success if it only had better publicity.

With every good thing, there's always the bad side of it, and even though this drama is excellent the way it is, I do feel like it is lacking in story. There were quite a bit of unanswered questions that DESERVED some time to be fleshed out. That's why this drama needs a longer remake: there's quite a bit of information that needs to be given to fully grasp everything that is going on here.

So here's hoping that someday this work of art can get a proper drama series.

I can't recommend this drama enough. It raised the bar so high that it's gonna be hard to top. Most dramas I've seen aren't at the level, sis. You should definitely give this a try.

Simple & Good

This was one of the first Bls that I truly enjoyed watching. Even though the budget is not the greatest, there is no denial on how much chemistry both Mls have throughout the series. I just wished they had more time to further elaborate their feelings, ups and downs. The story felt empty without those.

Nonetheless, I always rewatch this one when I feel down.

Just watching them feels like a warm hug.

A surprisingly decent gay drama short!

Like some people here, I too was anxious with the censorship that could disrupt the whole story but honestly, this drama was better than expected. We got two great underrated young actors that really interests us on what’s gonna happen to them despite their “master-servant relationship”. I even liked that we got to see the character Kang Gook‘s martial arts performance. Literally all the scenes involving him here are fireeeeee!

Some argue that the short was too short but this short is better than some of the kdramas that literally take an hour in every episode. This drama fit the bill at being short but sweet! Also the music was nice enough on the ears!

Definitely worth the shot if you prefer your “innocent BL” and don’t have time to binge dramas with long episodes.
