PLEASE GET A HANDFAN TO FAN YOURSELF WHEN WATCHING

Yes you heard me right, don't start this if you have nothing to fan yourself with because the heat will properly be bad for you. The heat, hotness or whatever hot that's out there is in this drama, so good and so worthy of the hype. Didn't want to watch this because of the high profile leading actors because I felt it will be full of biased fans giving it high score and boy am I wrong because whatever score you want to give it, I say the higher the better, while this is my first time of watching DD drama, it's not a first for YY so with being a little convincing from some of the reviews (a first for me because I don't watch drama based on people's reviews especially on this site) I started it and I didn't regret it so thank y'all that gave it a good review and score based on your enjoyment not by being biased. I did totally enjoyed it that I wanted more drama that has this same vibe and that's how I came across "Love Is Sweet", another great drama. Gotta say these two dramas, while different in terms of occupation and theme, both has ruined me for sure. YAMG totally deserve the hype, I mean the actors are ACTORS because you can see all on the screen, the story and all were all aced. I love the dynamic of the drama. I have watched this drama 2 days ago and I was and still speechless because I really don't know what to say but I gotta say I did enjoyed watching it.

Two working adults and their simple love story.

To start of, I was initially worried that good looks would be the only good thing about this drama but I was proven very wrong. I binged through this drama and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Firstly, the drama is about two people with very time demanding jobs and how they navigate their relationship without compromising their careers, therefore the small plot lines throughout the drama are related to their work and it’s affect on their relationship.

Secondly, acting. I’m not particularly fans of either actors however I’ve seen at least one of each of their works and I’d say they both are better than my first impressions of them. That being said they’re not amazing, but they definitely did their jobs well.

Positives:
1. A truly well developed and healthy mature relationship from start to finish.
2. The presentation of an aerospace career seemed well done and accurate (I believe they actually consulted aerospace engineers), although I’m not experience so I wouldn’t know but it looked professional.
3. The story wasn’t trivial or needlessly fluffy. They spoke about real mature concerns that people of their age would. (Eg. Money, family, career goals)
4. Wasn’t dramatised for the sake of it. The story went at a pretty slow steady pace which I love (but could be a negative for you).
5. The main couple chemistry was very good and convincing. They’re both insanely attractive so they look good together. I also love the simple and sometimes pointless conversations they had. Not every conversation has to be a big deal.
6. No petty fights or break up AT ALL.
7. Kiss scenes ??
8. Some of the OST songs are really good, and I really like they’re timing as well.

Negatives:
1. Again, slow pacing - this is not a negative for me but it may be for some.
2. Although they had great chemistry I will admit in some scenes they could have been a bit more relaxed with each other.
3. Acting was good but wasn’t perfect. One example is with YY. In some scenes it feels as though he’s paying a bit too much attention to how he looks on camera, it’s especially noticeable when he appears to be flexing his neck length.?

To conclude, I definitely recommend this drama. It’s a mature well made drama that is very enjoyable and nice to watch to relax or to de-stress. It’s not overly dramatic very easy to binge. It’s also surprisingly funny at times.

BEST C-DRAMA EVER (for now)

I would like to start off with I ship them. I ship Yang Yang and Reba. This is one of the best c-drama or I could say one of the best Asian drama this year. This drama is in the TOP1 list for me. I would like to say that the storyline and the acting is just too good just "fabulous." There is no actual villain, very small minor antagonist role. Some of you might say that not having an antagonist would make the story boring, but I would like to say this the story is just very well-made. You will never feel bored with this drama. I haven't skipped a part in this drama. Usually I'm those type of people where those scenes that are boring I would skip, but this drama oh ma gadd. I have to admit that I cannot skip any scene in this drama. The flow of the story is very well made and detailed. The CG was on point. THIS IS A MUST WATCH DRAMA. watch it and you wouldn't regret.

so brilliant play!!

This play is really the best romantic play I've ever seen! I like the performances of Dilireba and Yang Yang so much. They really are excellent performer. I can't help looking more! I like the story of Qiao Jing Jing secretly falling in love with Yu Tu. They are very cute when they are together! Two people are from different worlds, but they still love each other in the end. They really deserve each other~!i love this drama sooooo much!!!I also like their clothes inside very much. Qiao Jing jing is really exquisite. Yu Tu looks very calm and sense of security. They two really match! The music of TV series is also very suitable, especially sweet!!

I like it I think

The story was really cute for me, and what kept me watching.
I don't know if it's because I absolutely place Love O2O and Eternal Love in my top 5 dramas that I struggled with Yang Yang and Dilabra so much as the leads.

The Issues:
Yang Yang 's character is too similar to the Love O2O character (some of the lines even feel the same as from Love O2O).
Dilabra also seems to have a lot of similarities in how she played Bai Fengjiu in Eternal Love temperament-wise.

What I liked:
The chemistry between Yang Yang and Dilabra allowed me to snap back into the show when I was pulled out by similarities to other shows. How the love story progressed was sweet and heartwarming. I laughed, cried, and cheered through out.

This is one I'll certainly rewatch but will make sure to do it with more time after a rewatch of Love O2O and Eternal Love which I had rewatched within a month of the first time watching this Drama.

One of the best modern Cdrama

I loveee loveee loveee this drama.. One of the best modern Cdrama I've ever watched: the casts, chemistry, characters, story, music, cinematography was sooo beautiful..

It's very light drama yet so realistic, no stupid female lead, no annoying & evil characters and unnecessary vilain.. My eyes was also spoiled with the beautiful visuals... Both main leads is so damn beautiful and handsome.. Yang Yang is sooooo soooooo handsome...

When I watched this drama, I just wished I am Jingjing, the female lead character ??????

Lighthearted, good chemistry between leads, weak plot

I wanted to watch a decent c-drama that was based in modern day. I enjoyed the drama, but don't think it was as good as its overall rating.

Liked:
-Great chemistry between both leads.
-Female lead did a good job acting
-Very lighthearted and easy to watch

Disliked:
-Plot - there just wasn't much of it. I especially had to skip through a lot of unnecessary plot in the second half when the leads were not involved. Dialogues just seemed very boring.
-I feel like main lead had very limited lines/dialogues. He was there to look good, and give very short responses to most things.

Sweet, but boring and slow-moving.

I enjoyed You Are My Glory, but only to the extent that I could play it in the background while I did other things.

Story:

I really wish Chinese studios would stop saturating the market with e-sports dramas (and Yang Yang would stop starring in them) because the story set-up often feels so contrived. That aside, though, You Are My Glory is remarkably well-executed. Strong chemistry, witty dialogue, and likeable protagonists turned a lacklustre, overused premise into something worth watching. I do have one large grievance to air, though, and that is the pacing - this show is very slow. It could easily have been 15-20 episodes instead of 32. There are insanely long stretches in which nothing really happens, or when things do happen, it takes far too long to resolve. If I needed to read subtitles I don't think I would have watched this show at all because I simply wouldn't have the patience to sit there.

Acting/Cast:

I credit the cast with about 80% of the reason I watched as much of the show as I did. Dilireba and Yang Yang have good chemistry, and this is one of Yang Yang's better roles in my opinion. Yu Tu's quiet introspection suits him much better than some of the more assertive characters he's attempted in the past. Dilireba's character is adorable and charming, not obsequious, and I appreciate that she is independent of the ML and romance. I found myself rooting for her more than I root for FLs with similar backstories/contexts.

Music:

The OSTs are pervasive but not bad. Don't have much else to say about it.

Rewatch Value:

I don't think I can sit through You Are My Glory a second time, but it's as good a choice as anything else when I want to put something on in the background while I do chores.

TL;DR: The plot of this story meanders but the pay-off in sweet and romantic scenes as well as chemistry between the two leads makes up for it.

Best modern Chinese drama

I genuinely enjoyed this one for the relationship between the two leads. There are no secondary romances to drag it down. The banter between the two is quite funny and there is enough genuine heart with side characters. This one features a bit of groveling from the hero, balanced leads who have great dialogue between them and even an epilogue that gives a glimpse of life several years in the future. It is funny, romantic and entertaining. Perfect for rewatching when you just want to smile.

Sweet and fluffy

I really enjoyed this drama. While the main couple were flirting, pursuing, and angsting it was a great watch! I really loved the ML's acting - you could feel his inner conflict and pain when things were tough for him and those close to him. The FL was also really fun to watch. She is girly and sweet, but also knows how to stand up for herself (especially with her ex).

Both characters are mature adults that make decisions that make sense and that was my favorite part about this show (apart from the acting). I felt like their characters were real, not those over-dramatic characters I see in some dramas. The problems they faced were realistic, and their reactions to them were also realistic.

There's honestly not too much drama in this show. Once the main couple got together, I felt like the show got a bit boring - it was cute and fluffy, don't get me wrong, but not much happened. I felt like a lot of it was filler. But overall, honestly it was good! I don't think I'll re-watch but I'm very happy with how it went.
