A drama that feels like a warm-hug!

Here is my unsolicited opinion concerning this drama. Overall, it was an amazing drama. But, the biggest issue I had with it is how they handled the breakup of Wu Yan and Nian Qin. The miscommunication and blame game killed my vibe for a bit. Moreover, I expected more details about the death of Cheng Yin and how Wu Yan's paranoia healed little by little. I was waiting for them to disclose more information about Wu Yan's roommate in her hometown and how her mother and friends have been helping her cope with her mental illness, but no, that wasn't what happened since it is not the main focus of the plot, I guess. Besides, in the final episode, they kept going on about how boys shouldn't cry and how women are weak and are apt to be protected by men. That kind of mentality throws and tips me off. What was the point? Moving on to the things I loved most about the drama. The first thing that stood out for me is how Wu Yan didn't give special treatment to Nian Qin when he was blind. I loved that a lot. She treated him the way she would treat someone who doesn't have a visual impairment. The same applies to the autistic kid she was taking care of. Furthermore, the cozy, relaxing vibe and music choice in the background were top-notch. Besides, the characters were conversing with one another in a close-to-whispering style; it started to feel like an ASMR at one point. I would love to keep going about this, but I will stop here because I do not want to make things unnecessarily lengthy.

A drama romantic, intelligent, modern. Highly recommended!

I started this drama with doubts because the comments were very divided. Believe me, it does not disappoint me at all. Since Ep 1, I was completely addicted to this drama
This drama really touched me.

THE STORY: It was such a simple, yet attractive romance. there are 24 eps, but that's more than enough to tell the story, so there's no unnecessary length or scenes. It was absolutely fascinating and beautiful.

THE CAST/ACTOR:
All the castings went very well. The drama is literally carried by the ML, Lin Yanjun ❤❤❤ . He is not only very handsome, but has incredible acting skills. playing a blind man perfectly for his first role, shows how great he is.
Wan Peng is also very convincing (as always).
Their acting seems really natural and they make us experience intense emotions.

STORY: It's quite coherent and realistic. It is well written and we discover little by little the past, the traumas, the personalities of the characters. The interactions of the characters fit with their personality (except for a few passages at the end, in particular the rituals, which seem a little excessive). The abrupt and very dominating (in the sense that he doesn't explain anything) aspect of the ML-CEO is consistent with his autistic spectrum.

I like the message conveyed regarding people with disabilities. They do not need pity, nor compassion, but equality!! The gaze of others is sometimes more harmful than illness or incapacity. In this drama, the truths are told, with great accuracy and sensitivity, both with regard to sensory handicap and autism.

CHEMISTRY:
Lin Yanjun and Wan Peng.. their chemistry is off the charts. I loved their acting and their natural chemistry so much.

THE MUSIC:
Above all, I expect OSTs to accompany the emotions transmitted. But, in this drama, I liked them so much. Kudos to the composer. My favorite OST is Yuan Lai Wo Hen Ai Ni (I love you very much) by Lin Yanjun He ❤❤❤ . Yes, on top of that, he sings so well !!).
I look forward to his next drama/project !!

I'm sure I'll see this drama again many times.

In conclusion, a story well told, intelligent, subtle, brought to life by absolutely brilliant actors. Don't miss this gem!!

Very refreshing Cdrama! The first part is almost perfect!

Very refreshing Cdrama. The chemistry is off the chart! I always associate Cdrama with tropes, cliches and fluff. the first part of this drama showed me a different side of Cdrama.

My first Cdrama that portrays a vulnerable male lead. I love their process of accepting both of their vulnerabilities together (okay except when they totally flip the story line!!!). The female lead might seem annoying to some, but her character is relatable to most of us on so many level. Not so much of damsel in distress. It would have been perfect if they end it in the middle instead of following the tropes of cold CEO.

Evan Lin is great considering this is his first lead role. He made us really believed that he's blind. A cold blind person that is trying hard to keep everyone out. The second part of this story spoilt the whole plot for me. It was rushed, a lot of plot holes. In the first half, he was all about accepting his vulnerable side, opening up and learning to be tolerant and bam! he turns into a knight in shining armor, out of nowhere. pfftttt! it was purposely filled with tropes scenes and plots (eye rolled), I understand the tropes scenes need to be there to cater to the market segment, but the first half was soo promising!

I still Highly recommend this though!

Refreshing!!

I started watching this because i couldn't find anything but once i started i didn't wanna stop. It is a good drama. Evan lin is a surprise for sure. He's got some acting chops and Wang Peng is good. Acting was not forced. Plot is kind of new as ML is shown as blind guy. I liked conversation between them. ML does not take any offense when female lead states obvious from time to time about his blindness, their relationship was open in sense FL didn't walk on eggshells regarding his condition. Sometimes she left things messy which harms the ML but he takes it into the stride. Of course the story is not very relatable but it is a very good watch.

Wan Peng's very cute

After years of watching dramas I decided to make an acct here to track my favorites.

First of all the actors/actresses are really good. Yk the cringeyness when you watch someone act blind but obviously not, kudos to Evan tho, I think he did fine in that department. As usual Wan Peng's acting is on point.

Second, I think the story plot is very common and you can easily predict the outcome. But I thank the script writer that they did not make it draggy. Not all dramas need to be long just to be good. Like when he did the surgery usually they make more eps where the ml does not recognize the fl or someone will pretend to be the fl. But Evan straight up "i recognize u". Saw this on yt shorts that's why I watch it?

Third, the kisses?. I really want the whole c/kdrama scene to step up with the kissing scenes haha. I like the sofa kiss here especially when he said "I'll not miss out on the chance two times a row". So cute ?

Since you like movies so much..
do you know the basic fundamental of the movies rely on is persistence of visions?
Lights that reach the eyes will remain in the retina for some time before disappearing, the duration is very shorts it's ephemeral.
But, I probably have an innate ability to prolong it. In these three years it feels like i didn't see anything except everything about you. They still appear before my eyes..

this is one of my favorite drama this 2021.
if you watch this without skipping you can never say that this is drag.. i read the novel and i think the only thing they change is that SNQ can see but hey the novel is written years ago the writer probably think that anything is possible in medicine these days.. but i really enjoy the story the dialogue and cinematography very soothing.. i came here for WAN PENG but EVAN LIN caught me.. ?

New fan of Evan Lin here!

I wanted to give it a perfect ten, but I am not happy with how the story went with Wu Yan's bestfriend, and how it left me feeling "meh". As well as how they've dealt with Wu Yan's mental health situation. It was left hanging, and will make you think, what will happen next. But upon searching, that's how it is as well in the novel, so they just follow through the original story.

I just find Wu Yan's character frustrating at times, how she quickly gets upset and ran away from the problems, maybe she's still young and at times fickle minded, but still, I just wanted to shake her to wake her up.

Sorry, but I just can't take the presence of the 2nd couple! Too frustrating to watch for me. Their acting is too bland! So I had no choice but to skip them. I feel like, instead of giving them screen time, they should've focus more on other main issues on this drama.

Anyway, I love how their chemistry reflected on screen, it's flying with high colors! I enjoyed and love Nian Qin's tantrums and young master's attitude. Also, he is bordering on being obsessive and a stalker. I know it's wrong; it was so adorable, maybe some will find it offensive, but I just love Nian Qin here.

Also, kudos to Evan Lin's portrayal of being a blind man, it was convincing! I also enjoyed and loved listening to the OST of the series. It helps sets the mood as well as convinced me that Yi Jin is indeed a gifted song writer.

For all of my fluff-loving and my feely sensy comrades, this drama is for you!

For all of my fluff-loving comrades, this drama is for you!

Definitely a drama to watch when you're in need of comfort, I really appreciate the story's well-crafted plot (you felt like you were watching a real couple) and the actors' chemistry overall is quite cute. In general, it's a typical C-drama.
If you need a pick me up, I recommend you power through the first episodes since they are a bit slow

Spoiler alert!
Some characters will annoy you but I think that’s part of the fun of the drama * cough cough* the mother .. in my opinion

Overall a cute touching story with a sort of melancholy touch just a touch worth the watch!!

Wow, just wow

Well, this drama was an experience. I was a little unsure of it at first as it seemed very melodramatic and I wasn't sure if melodrama was what I wanted to watch. Regardless, I decided to give this drama a fair shake and watch some and to my surprise, fell in love with it!

The storyline was interesting, with the Male lead being visually impaired as well as very damaged. There were specks of the heart of gold buried under the dust of hardship, and I fell in love with ML very quickly. Evan Lin, despite being new to acting did a phenomenal job of portraying someone who is visually impaired and i am very looking forward to his next drama. His deep, raspy voice is to die for and that singing voice? Talent personified.

Wan Peng was as good as she always is (I'll be honest, she was part of the reason I began watching after seeing her in First Romace with Riley Wang) and protrayed the role of an upbeat psychology major working at a radio station. Her microexpressions were mostly on point, and she truly brought her character to life.

Xiao Lu, ML's aunt/caregiver(?) Is also really sweet and added to the story as a support for both leads. She never pushed them into anything and allowedthe two to find their own pace while she looked on. Its heart warming to see how much she wanted the leads to be together as she knew how happy they were.

The start of the second half feels slightly disconnected story-wise, but the two leads kept me watching (thankfully) as we see them progress into marriage and then a parenthood. Ending felt a little rushed, but that could be me wanting the story to continue on even further. All in all, an amazing drama. I have been rewatching over and over. Would definately recommend for anyone wanting a different story, sweet moments between the leads and a slight bit of melodrama/angst.

WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL

"CRUSH" is a drama where i personally say that you will be glue to it. This drama is simple and beautiful. I Recommend this drama to you if you want to cry and even feel sad for the man in the drama. The main lead acting was perfect because i being blind is one think that is very hard to pull off. The light and HD was perfect and even in the night the light looks like the moon is a full moon, but overall i enjoy this drama would recommend this to everyone. I like how they put in the story that you can like anyone even if they are blind or have a disorder and do not let anyone tell you who you can like or who you can not like.

I was excited to watch this drama. I thought this would be one that I have a hard time moving on from and the FL and ML would be favorite TV couple. I figured, since a lot of people like this drama, it can't be that bad, can it? WRONG. Maybe people have different taste, but this is just okay for me. Nothing to brag about or write to my friends to immediately watch this drama. Well, to be fair, this drama is not all bad. There are some good things about it, for example the music. I love the music, especially the ending theme song of the first half. The story had premise, but I thought it was just not executed well. It started out good, but there is so many loopholes. (SPOILER ALERT: The main loophole is the last episode. How can they have a daughter at the end? When Sang Wu Yan was brought to the hospital, her tummy was FLAT! Even if the baby was prematurely born, her tummy can't be that flat for > 6 months pregnant! That is puzzling. I was hoping for a plot twist at the end, when she said goodbye. I thought she didn't survive and it was all just a dream. I would have given a higher score if that is the case haha). The positive side is, this drama has very minimal conflict, but to me it can be boring. If you're just looking for an easy watch with no conflict and simple romance story, then you would be happy with this drama. As for me, I don't like it.
