Sunao Ni Narenakute is an extremely well done drama about friendship, love and growing pains of adulthood.

The situations are mature, the friendships are genuine and the love story is refreshingly real and sweet. The writing of this was very smart and truer to life than most dramas. The 11 episodes went by fairly quickly.

I really enjoyed the premise of five friends coming together by meeting through Twitter. It was such an original take on how people meet, grow to care for each other and become an extended family.

This is a slice of life piece about a particular time and stage in a person's life. It is off the beaten path from the usual standard drama fare. I loved it for that. The serious situations were handled in a realistic way that had me walking away feeling bittersweet but much more on the sweet side.

All of the characters were believable; the actors true and natural. My one small nitpick is that while I like JaeJoong and he improved in Protect the Boss, his acting in this felt a little green and new. But I did like "Doctor" and it wasn't so bad as to be distracting.

This drama really is a very nice piece of work. Sunao Ni Narenakute is an enjoyable watch, even with the angst and troubles that naturally come with the previously mentioned growing pains. This drama is about being true to yourself, learning to be brave in life and love. It is done with humor, some very stark realism and a lot of warmth.

The soundtrack was great! There wasn’t a song out of place. They were a mix of pop and alternative that fit perfectly with the age group portrayed in the drama. The songs were also memorable and this is one of those rare times I wish I owned the OST. (I liken the quality to Soulmate and Coffee Prince)

I am giving the re-watch a 10 because I know I will go back to this drama again.

I recommend this drama very highly. It is smart, fun, touching, and romantic. A WIN in my book.

This drama was simply amazing!

The storyline was so original, It's a story about friendship, hardship and love, as we follow Doctor, Linda, Nakaji, Peach and Haru. You'll learn more about them by each episode. Every person has their own story and hardships and everything comes together eventually. It's not your typical storyline and I found the events happening in the drama very surprising and mostly totally unexpected. And I definitely loved that :).

The acting was very well done, but not really that special or anything. I must give real credit to Jaejoong though. This was his first real drama and I think he did really great. Not to mention he is just so cute in this drama and he is so handsome :3.

Now about the music. The music was absolutely perfect. It was a mixture of different genres and each song fit amazingly well in this drama. There is a great harmony in the use of the music in the drama, not too much and not too little. You don't get bored by it.

I really recommend this drama. It's a very intriguing drama worth watching and I promise that you won't get bored at all and won't regret it!

First of all, the general idea of this drama is great. That's what made me watch it even though people had mainly bad things to say about it.
It started out really good, too. I liked the main characters, the interaction between them was cute, the fast growing friendship between all five of them was beautiful and there were lots of intense and nice scenes.
Then it got worse. Suddenly there was one tragedy after the other, everyone needed more and more pain, love triangles and it mushed into a great mess.
I don't know how, but they made it work somehow. Of course I was irritated sometimes and it does fit the word "melodrama", but I didn't hate it. There was always someone or something that kept me watching and that I liked about that huge mess.
In the end it got better again. I thought some topics weren't handled properly, but overall I was rather enjoying it again. I loved the ending, it was the only appropriate ending to give to this drama.

The acting was good. It wasn't perfect, but they seemed honest and believable. I felt with the characters (okay, after a while it got harder within all the tragedies) and they managed to pull their characters off.

The music was perfect, I simply loved it. It's a mixture of American and Japanese music, fitting the modern style of the story and the Twitter-theme. The songs were great.

This doesn't have anything to do with the drama itself, but the mirrors I watched also had a great quality and the subs were perfect. So it was a pleasure to watch this and I recommend everyone to try it, even though I do understand that it's not everyone's taste - And if it wasn't for the ending, I wouldn't have rated it this high either.
Just give it a try!

These couple of days I have been watching this drama, it was really like a breath of fresh air for me, after the Korean melodramas I have been watching lately, not that I am complaining, but... no I am complaining, as I watch them, but don't love them, and I really need a drama that I can LOVE, adore, cry over the words, cry over the good things that happen, and not only when someone dies or is dumped...

I am every time amazed how good the Japanese present friendship... They do it so well, when I see a good friendship in a Korean drama, I automatically think someone Japanese works for the crew, haha~ I don't know how they do, but I always have tears in my eyes when I see these lonely souls come together and become support for each other.
I can see some parallels in this drama with "Last Friends" (which, by the way, also has Eita and Ueno Juri as leads). But the Last Friends had a darker and 'saltier' feel to it, while this one, though again sometimes sad had a brighter feel.

Many problems are raised in the show and the first one is the loneliness of a modern person. While a lot of people are around them every day, they find their piece with people whom they have never met at all, and those people understand their feelings in the 140 characters they can squeeze into Twitter update.
Or not being able to be honest with yourself in the first place. I noticed in this drama, that it became like some kind of an addiction and illness for the characters, not being honest, that is. Lying to yourself and not sharing your feelings for so long, that when you find people who will actually listen to you not matter what you say, and no matter what you confess to... you continue lying to yourself, while these people actually start understanding you better that you do it yourself...that was really touching, and very well played throughout the drama.

This will be rare of me, but I want to complain about the music. The songs were great, but the instrumental parts always dragged me out of the moment. You see, they used instrumentals from American movie "Holiday" and English movie "Love Actually". Though, I must confess they chose the best pieces of the Scores, I couldn't get into the moment and not imagine the scenes of the other movies the music sounded through, I think the Japanese have enough talented composers to take over score writing, so ganbare~

I am definitely rewatching this one, as I am a big sucker for well done friendship stories, and this drama became one of them for me.

One of my favorite dramas.
I use to rewatch it sometimes since 3 years ago when I watched it first time.

Yes, this drama has flaws. Haru is often annoying being too much tensed, pedantic, shy and over-polite. And Doctor is anoying with the same. I don't like JaeJoong in this drama (his acting and character). And I partly don't agree with behavior and decidions of every character.

But this drama is so fresh and well made that the flaws doesn't make me dislike it. It's dynamic, deep, light, well directed and well-pictured. No single episode seem boring. It looks more like an american series than a usuall japanese. Realy different and new for japanese drama genre. But still has the charm of jdrama. Sountracks are awesome here as well.

This drama is the case when actors acting is not so good (except of Eita), but at the same time they make me love them, because they don't overplay and their lack in acting is balanced with really good work of director, writer, artist and other creators.

I like the gay problem touched in this drama. And like how they treat it. And the actor played it well. But I would like that gay and the guy he loves become good friends or even lovers for at least some time T.T

I like the best buddy relationships between Haru and Nakaji. That is more exciting than if they were just a couple. Their line is just breathtaking for me. I enjoyed every scene of those two.

I like the heartwarming friendship as a place where those five can be totally honest and trustfull. There are plenty of problems that appear for the friends one by one, and they face, solve, go through them one by one together.

Eita is my personal addiction. And I am glad that he participated in this drama. He definitally made this drama greater.

I really liked it. It tackled some real raw life issues that happen like Family, Love, Life and Work. It shows everyone has problems and friendship can work through it. They had a lot of interesting characters too. Each of them had unique problems. Its all very interesting. However, they had so many love triangles it was hard to keep up with who loved who. I was getting ready to write down the whole love web. I still liked it. I cried a lot. I felt their pain and I was able to relate to them. I could look at their lives and see I had the same problems. It made me feel better about those problems too.

With an original plot like that, this drama could have gone so many places... except it didn't. It quickly degraded to being just cliches and everyone falling for Eita. By the end I was wondering why the hell I was still watching it. It becomes at least retarded after a certain point, and all it has left in my memory is that it was probably the worst drama I have ever seen. And I am a huge JJ fan. And a huge Ueno Juri fan. I practically adore everyone on this cast. Still.
I get angry every time I hear that it's similar to Last friends... That was a great drama. It went all sorts of places, and probed at all sorts of issues. This... everything felt like a cheap attempt at probing issues and problems of today's society. It could have been really good if it kept on in that direction, actually digging deep, actually saying something. I am surprised that so many people liked it "because it was soooo deep and meaningful", even though it was so incredibly shallow. Not even a scratch.

I can't give the acting more than 6, although they were fine, just that the scenario was so badly written, it's impossible to bother with whether they say it with the right expression, when it feels like a bad joke in any case.

I think that the idea of the drama really good, about all the characters that connecting each other and each one has his own problems and conflicts. The side stories was nice.
However I didn't like the casting and the acting so much, I think they took a story that could be great but havn't been able to do the best with it.

Over all the drama is good and I'm happy that i saw it till the end because the last episodes was very good ( and Linda's story was so sad... )

Unfortunately there is simply sweeping Japanese dramas and some dramas are just not what you expected but that's just my opinion and you should try yourself

This was both a beautiful and tragic drama.
It brings together the different stories of a group of newly formed friends brilliantly well, and shows how their lives intertwined with each other with both wonderful and unfortunate consequences.
I thought that the cast portrayed each character very well and helped them to feel realistic and for the audience to feel the same things that they were feeling.
The music that accompanied the show was lovely and helped to portray the varying emotions that the cast were feeling.
I have rated the show slightly lower on the rewatch value as I do not believe the drama would have the same effect on someone going into a second time in comparison to the first.
Overall I recommend this drama to those who like stories of adult friendship and romance with a twinge of sadness. It is a great quality drama and I am sure many will enjoy it.

This is not a drama, this is a life combined with art.
While watching this drama, i felt like it has a soul, like it can bread, like it has sucked me in and I'm living in its world. I've felt like i was part of the cast and everything is happening in front of my eyes.
The story may look simple, but that's precisely what makes this drama so special. It has shown us the life, love and friendship issues we get to confront with everyday. Our lives are not black or white, nor are we, we are all complex units with lots of inner fights - we have to fight with others, but above that, we need to win over ourselves. There's no always happy ending for each and every of us, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't do our best to fight for that happy ending. Love can be hopeless and unrequited, but that doesn't mean it's not true.
The characters in this drama can show us that and more. You will feel that sometimes a simply 'keep trying' can mean much more than 'I love you'. I've found myself attached to all the characters in a very short time - I've enjoyed in all their conversations, no matter how simple they were - every detail in this drama had a meaning.

I couldn't wish for better cast. Their acting was so natural. They could express their emotions in such an unobtrusive way and still made me melt. Tamayama, Juri, Eita - my golden trio forever.

I also enjoyed background music - Western combined with Asian - I could say that with music, drama felt even more real and expressed the right mood in right situation, so a big 10 for music.

Rewatching this drama was a natural thing to do for me, so I've seen it twice for now. Of course, i don't plan stopping there. That's why, rewatch value is also 10.

I really hope i was able to convey my feelings for this drama to you and make you interested enough to start this piece of artwork, although i feel much more than my poor English can express.
So if you are looking for perfectly realized human, life, love, friendship drama, be sure to check it out and enjoy!

This drama has the best actors and you're supposed to feel it's amazing huh? But it's not. It was a huge disappointment to me.

I started watching but in the middle i was like... what?... the story started being so boring, so repetitive that i just wanted to know the end and to end it soon. Nothing more special, they could do it a lot better. It was a delusion for me, really.

I only liked the actors.. As character i liked specially the Doctor (oh, is it difficult to know why? *-* but sometimes it'd get on my nerves) and Linda.

Linda was my fav of all the characters, i dont understand how can they do that to him :/ Not once but twice. I was shocked and after that moment i just couldn't like it as much as before. It's sth you just cant do to the viewers, i think.

The ending was unsatisfactory, comparing with all i suffered watching this. The beginning was s exciting, i really thought i'd love this and it would be pretty interesting but then...

I have to admit it, that made me so curious about twiter! And wanting to tweet like that with sm1... although i didnt think i'd have sm1 to talk with in that time ~

It was a great story about love, friendship and death. The drama teach us about how life is fast and we should do things that make us really proud.
I just had one problem: the Peach's story. They just forgot about that in the ending. So, feel like incomplete. But she was not the really main character, after all, so it's ok.
If you want smile and get emotional, it's your drama.
