Two Is Better Than One

I'll be honest; I always get nervous with dramas that have multiple seasons. One of the reasons I ditched Western dramas was due to the multiple seasons that always made the overall show draggy and boring after a certain amount of seasons. Despite me being obsessed with Penthouse, I was still nervous for season 2 because of the slight chance it might come off as "unnecessary." Let me say that is nowhere near the case. I have loved many sequels more than the original, and Penthouse is one of them. Is it because it was half the length of season 1 or because we dived right into chaos? I might never know for sure, but I can tell you what I loved about this second season.

Story:
Everything that has happened throughout the episodes has led to some fantastic plot, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I won't spoil anything just in case, but all the twists and turns were done fantastically, and I don't think I could have imagined something different, which has usually been the case with other dramas I have watched. One thing I love is how unpredictable the plot has become. You think one thing is set in stone but then it's revealed you were the main act in a circus show, and what you thought wasn't at all what was written in stone.

Characters:
For my season one review, I mentioned how each character, good or bad, was portrayed excellently and written extremely well. The same can be said with season two. One of the things I liked about season one was how, for multiple characters, they were written so you can choose whether to dislike or like them, and that continues in season two. Of course, characters still made my blood boil, as well as the fact I shed tears throughout these fantastic episodes because of them, but I love feeling those emotions with characters. Some characters took me by surprise, good or bad. I found myself at one point hating on a character I thought I liked and liking a character I thought I hated. This season also strengthens my belief that no other actors could portray these incredible characters, or at least I cannot imagine another actor as any character.

Others:
Despite the few OST's we got, all of them were fantastic, especially Repeatedly and The Morass. I wish the season was longer, but I'm glad it at least got extended by 1 episode. It was also great that one of the best episodes, episode 12, happened to air on my birthday, so it was a fantastic birthday gift if I shall say.

Final Thoughts:
Since this is season two, those who watch it or are planning to watch it have watched season one. That being said, I'm already used to the hectic drama that comes with it, so if that's the same for you, then the drama that comes from this season won't be a surprise to you. Although I would say season one technically seems more hectic and "insane," mainly due to having more episodes," season two doesn't shy away from the hectic plot at all.

I cannot wait for season three and how hectic and great it will be. The only thing I'm sad about is one episode a week, which feels like pure torture. But overall, this season is fantastic, and if you watched and liked season one, you should most definitely watch season two.

Fun, dramatic and mindnumbingly stupid Season 2 of the Makjangiest Makjang on the block

Even though I enjoyed this A LOT, I have mixed feelings about this show so I'mma break it down into pros and cons. Read till the end before getting triggered.

Cons:

▪︎The first half:

"Can this show get any more ridiculous?" asked my tired brain after it finished yet another episode full of repetitive, pointless misery that was only half as entertaining than what it used to be.

Don't get me wrong. The shock value is still high albeit it gets more and more predictable with every episode. The black comedy is still top notch, I was morbidly laughing my ass off 90% of the time. It's still a fairly easy to watch show. Kinda like junk food, you know it can't possibly be healthy for you but you're still watching. Almost begging for it to get better.

This is a Makjang. So, I trust that if you like those and you've watched season 1 you already expect this to be over the top and exaggerated.

However, despite how OTT it was, season one had a solid direction and the characters were actually built nicely.

Behind all the noise, if you looked, you could find some nuance and thought behind the way characters functioned. So, by all counts it was a well made show and it wasn't a surprise that it became a household name in Korea. That's great but then obviously the drama creators got greedy and they wanted to prolong the victory for two more unnecessary seasons.

By ending the last season the way they did, they found a sure shot way for us to continue. Surely, we were all angered by the triumph of the bad guys and wanted to see justice prevail. Going to watch season 2 was the easiest decision for all of us. Unfortunately, in just a few episodes, the drama writers made me effectively stop giving a shit about everyone in the show.

The writing was just terrible, nonsensical and laughably bad in this one. It's like they ate a bunch of plotlines and then vomited it out on screen. There's no point of this show because things happen just for the sake of happening. During most of the drama, there isn't a single character you can root for and the evil characters that were interesting and charismatic asf in season 1 start to seem hollow and one dimensional in this.

It's the same old thing over and over and over again. Bullying, murder (but not really), revenge (but not really) and Repeat. And we are getting no where. It gets tiresome to watch a repeat of season one with none of the wow factor.

The worst thing is that for most of the show, the protagonist is Yeon Hee who is the single most brainless character to ever appear on tv. She was horrible in season 1 and unfortunately, worse in season 2. She functions on half a braincell and only knows how to whine and scream my ears off. That's it. Not a single ounce of sense in that woman.

There are a few hilariously unfunny plot twists that the writers pulled out of their ass and they stank of bullshit.

Yes, the antagonists did deliver their best. Cheon Seo Jin killed her performance as always. The acting didn't suffer and remained at the top but what's the point when you've stopped giving a fuck about the story and the characters?

It's just a cycle of seeing miserable and mindlessly evil adults and teenagers be pointlessly cruel, greedy and annoying for 13 hours straight.

The direction is still crisp, the drama exudes luxury of the Hera Palace and I love the brilliant music pieces but we already saw all that in season 1.

For a show to function, the good guys need to be on equal footing as the bad ones but here the antagonists >>> protagonists. Even when the bad guys suffer it's mostly because of their own stupidity and infighting. Hardly any badass good guy moments in 70% of the show and at one point, you're just wishing for them all to just kill each other and save you the frustration.

▪︎Pros:

So, I wrote all that and you're like um, is there anything left to say? Yes, there is. The show finally picks up in the second half. Don't get me wrong, the writing is still completely bogus and the plot is very silly and unrealistic BUT you finally get a character you want to root for.

This is the 30% of the show that absolutely makes you want to power through sitting right at the edge of your seat.

I don't want to give spoilers but I'll just say a badass bitch is back in the house and once she comes, watching the show becomes much easier.

Episode 12 is literally one of the most satisfying episodes as slowly but surely our good guys get ready to whoop some major asses.

Throughout the show there are some very touching moments in the way the parent and child relationship is portrayed. Some scenes were really nicely executed and I got some major feels even when overall the drama lacks emotion because of the inconsistency in pace and writing.

The ending is also very satisfying but annoying in equal measures.

Overall, is this drama WACK? Yes.
Is it trying to be anything else? No.
Will I be watching season 3? Fuck yes.

This is the crack I run on. You don't have to use your brain while watching it and it's strangely addicting.

So, keep your expectations low, turn off your brain and enjoy it to the maximum!

frustration, high BP, stress, heart/headache all mixed in one

I'm not gonna go over the plot of this drama and the castings and all that shazam cause yall already know what it's all about~ FYI I've watched the first season in one seating (it's not that hard when every episode manages to raise ur BP and u keep watching the next ep hoping they'd finally do sth right), and I was planning on doing the same for this season BUT this drama is too demanding for me to wait until all the episodes finished airing! I'm going to be here twice every week until the season ends, and then of course, rinse and repeat with season 3 X__X why am i doing this to myself rip

BEWARE there's gonna be lots of spoilers! It's basically drowning in it lol

Before going into this, just, can Soo Ryun please be alive? She and Logan are my favs, and were basically the only ones I was rooting for since the beginning ;---; they did justice to the drama~

So, first episode, already it's started with a heart attack just like it did with season 1! Opening scene is in the future and has someone falling down the stairs with blood drenched in her clothes but we already know that from the teaser... but who's the victim, we don't know cause Penthouse is all about its mystery. But gawd man the way she died, it's pretty gruesome... The relationship between the two main "villains" Seo Jin & Dan Tae (are they called villains? to be villains there should be heroes too... but are there any in this drama besides the selective few... omg but like few is still some right?) my head seriously hurts. Whatever they've got going is so toxic, I should start wearing my face mask whenever I see them... I desperately need someone to teach these two a lesson they'll never forget. They keep getting worse minute by minute. Also, knew Yoon Hee wasn't dead but at least she was proven innocent - the only justice in this ep! Was hoping Dan Tae would finally be locked up when he was suspected to have murdered Soo Ryun, but of course, what was I thinking? Manipulation after manipulation after manipulation. So, Seo Jin is as menacing as ever, Dan Tae is as sinister as ever, Gyu Jin is as pathetic as ever, Eun Byul is as disturbing as ever, the butler was as creepy as ever, and Logan is as handsome as ever~ Also, I'm starting to love Seok Kyung~ I loved it when she said, "I get an upset stomach if I eat with someone I hate" right in front of Seo Jin <3 man I know I'm gonna start bawling if ever the twins get reunited with Soo Ryun ;---; pls make it happen

Season 2 is actually two yrs after the first season wow. So much time has passed... and so many things have happened. I can't wait for this drama to end for real cause then justice can finally be served ONCE and FOR ALL.

Second episode, still no sign of Soo Ryun ;--; Seo Jin is still obsessed with Yoon Hee since first season, especially more now that Yoon Hee's back in Hera Palace and has apparently "snatched" her ex-husband, too. I can see jealousy in her eyes rip and i can already see her getting tired of Dan Tae. There are a few scenes here that made me ecstatic though, like when Yoon Chul "slam-dunked" Dan Tae to the ground, when Yoon Hee moved back into Hera Palace vexing Seo Jin more than ever, when they found out Yoon Chul was the CEO of JohnBIO, when Seo Jin was diagnosed with bad vocal cord nodules, and when Yoon Hee got her amazing singing voice back!!! And the look on Seo Jin's face!! Priceless!!!!! The most shocking thing in this episode though was the kiss between two of the main leads 0.0 (ain't naming them cause u gotta watch it and be as shocked as me lmao) it's around the 43:32 mark depending on which site you watch it from~

And guyssss, Seo Jin' s real-life husband made a special appearance in this episode uwu

Third episode, Bae Ro Na's back but still no sign of Soo Ryun lmao. I feel like Ro Na coming back makes everything so complicated, especially Yoon Hee's revenge on Seo Jin cause now her daughter's at stake sigh. Logan was barely shown, and I don't know if he's even in Korea or back in the US. Oh, Ro Na now knows that her mom killed Min Seol Ah from Season 1, and that causes a rift between mother and daughter... meaning more drama omg. The one "semi-villain" I was rooting for disappointed me in this episode... Seok Kyung-ah, why are you such a little bit*h here? Stop blaming other people for your mom's death and open your eyes! Also, it's so weird seeing Jenny bullied when she was a bully back in S1. I was hoping she'd turned over a new leaf, but nooooooo, god forbids she has some compassion. She's same old Jenny with a little bit of pity for Ro Na, is what I think. And then we got Seok Hoon who's still "controlled" by her sister. Sister-complex all the way~

Now that Yeon Hee's got her vocals, I'm wondering when she'll tell the world the truth. And of course, always waiting for Soo Ryun's comeback :)

Fourth episode, and I change my mind. Seok Kyung is not my girl. Not until she pulls herself together and wake the fukken up. There's a limit to how childish one can be. And let's not talk about Eun Byul, please, cause she might be missing a screw or two... I think she needs serious psychological help. At the moment, I'm rooting for Bae Ro Na, cause so far from what I'm seeing, she may have matured since S1. I hope so,. At least she stands higher than those two other girls. And Jenny, oh my god, my heart hurts for her. I know she's done so much bad before but that moment, that scene, omg. My heart broke for her, and the fact that her mom, who calls her daughter "precious", didn't even know she was suffering... Also, my blood boils seeing the kids bully Ro Na again. To be honest, Ro Na was annoying to me back in S1, but here, she's standing up for herself and that's character development. I can't wait for when these bullies get what they deserve, them and their parents! Oh how the world would be beautiful again~ Like daughter, Jenny's mom had her own closet of bad deeds, but now that Jenny's exposed the bullying, I can't wait for when the Oh Yeon Hee x Kang Ma Ri team sets the place on fire! Also, about Soo Ryun, I'm starting to think she's actually dead ;-; And Lee Ji Ah might have been casted as the twin's real mother (that's why she's main lead) cause Dan Tae did say they looked so alike and that's why he married Soo Ryun... Gawd... And of course, Seok Kyung finding out about the big, bad secret.

Ep 5 to Ep 8, a whole lot happened, no sh*t cause that's like 4 eps of drama, drama and MORE drama. The most important thing to me, Soo Ryun. I still don't know if she's dead dead, but apparently her twin sister's alive and well~ Now I have my doubts if her twin is actually her twin or if it's in fact Soo Ryun, my girl~ But I'm going to keep watching until the end. One, cause I need her comeback and two, cause my fav duo Soo Ryun (or her twin, we don't know) and Logan kissed... more like Logan giving CPR mouth-to-mouth, but tomayto-tomahto. Also, the biggest plot twist, at least to me... Bae Ro Na is the girl who fell down the stairs! Never in a million years would I have thought Ro Na bleeding out at the bottom of the stairs, broken... It broke my heart. One of the few sane and stable character in the drama, and they had to kill her... what were the writers thinking??? Unless she's not, then hallelujah! Also, I absolutely LOVE the character development of Jenny and her mom! Love the friendship that's developed between them, and Rona and her mom, too! (now I really hope Ro Na is alive...)

On the other hand, I want Dan Tae and Seo Jin dead please. It'll relieve my headache and stress and anxiety and high blood pressure all at once. Okay maybe wishing them off dead is too much... or is it? And how could Yoon Chul do that to Yoon Hee and Ro Na... Even though Eun Byul's his daughter, how could he... sigh imagine if Ro Na turned out to be his daughter too then what? All hell breaks loose. Another thing I can't wait for is when the twins meet Ji Ah's character, whether it's Soo Ryun or her twin. I know I'm going to cry when they meet...

Omg EPISODE 9!!!!! My fav ep cause SOO RYUN'S BAAACKKK!!! OMG I LOVE THIS SO MUCH THANK YOU! I was hoping and praying she was alive omg tysm writers-nim! On a side note, I have a feeling LoganxSooRyun couple is gonna be a thing, based on the vibez from Ep 10, at least i hope so! They're beautiful together~ Also, i love, love, love, love the maturity and character development of Jenny, she's now added to my very short list of fav characters. The relationship between her and her mom is so heartwarming to watch~ Seok Kyung was on her way towards joining my "fav club" but her attitude remained bratty and downright mean so she was kinda cancelled for me (at least until she starts to grow up then let's see) but i respect and adore her constant love for her twin brother. I see that not changing and I give her points for that. Though we might see her becoming a better person since she found out the secret behind her mom's "murder"... Like I said, I'm gonna start bawling when the twins meet Soo Ryun... And for Seo Jin, I guess karma hits you like a bitxh. Can we see Dan Tae getting beat up BAD for a change please?

Episode 10 and Logan has finally found out Soo Ryun is alive and well!! That hug was everything beautiful and precious~
Another thing about this episode though... Dan Tae scares the fuk out of me... Is there no limit to what he does? 'Monster' can't even begin to describe him omg. Turns out he's the main culprit to Bae Ro Na's death. And it seemed like she's not dead? Nothing's super clear right now, but I think Ro Na's alive~ And when Yoon Hee told Yoon Chul that Ro Na was his real daughter... it was mindblowing! I don't know if it's real or part of her plan, but the emotions on Yoon Chul's face when he realized he was aiding in the murder of his own daughter... i know it's karma but it was heartbreaking, too.

This season is strong and continues to be better twice every week gawd! We've got three more eps and as always, I'm can't wait for the next eps!!

 Better than first season

Man..... the story was so good. The writers did an excellent job. I mean there is one point where you will feel happy and think that everything is all right then suddenly something happens and you will be so angry. Then again you will jump with happiness and again at some point you will get angry.
Almost everything is same as the first seasons. But I think the plot twists were better in this season. This is what makes it better than first season in my opinion. And because it's only 13 episodes and you already know all the characters back story from the first season this drama becomes so much enjoyable. The first few episodes were not that attractive. But after that you can't stop watching.
There is nothing more to say about this drama. I just can't wait to watch the next season. I am waiting for it to finish airing.
I think you will enjoy this season so much more than the first one.

This drama was amazing.

Storyline: it did get draggy one point but it was well put together, you wouldn't get bored with it instead get too invested in it! It can make you laugh cry and lost important get angry!!
I loved every bit of it.

Acting: everyone's acting was on par, the chacarters were portrayed well. My favourite was Kim So Yeon and Uhm Ki Joon, I do think they deserve a daesang each because they portrayed their character so well that it made the viewers disgusted and angry but also pity at the same time?

Amazing.

Music: I like the BGM the suspense sound makes it better but no songs background which not mad about. This drama doesn't need it.

Rewatch: I would most definitely rewatch this while waiting for S3, I always find different things I didn't realise in the drama in the first time. I did it WITH S1 and will do with this drama. It's amazing.

Overall: great drama

Let's go Season 3!

To give my honest opinions, story wise I had preferred Season 1. Maybe it was because there were more episodes & more story/character building to be done in S1, it felt more thrilling and suspenseful. For S2, there's nothing for me to pick on for the acting wise. All actors did a great job? The OSTS were great + the BGM they used was great too. I will say the story itself wasn't as wow as S1...

Maybe i will list down some of the points I liked:
- Shim Suryeon's ploy + brains. That plan to reinstate her role (switching back her identities) was awesome
- Yoonhee committing to revenging for Suryeon. Even when Rona "died", she still kept her promise. While she did killed Seola, I pretty much have forgiven given the amount of things she has been through in S2. She definitely earned my tears this season. Hoping she will be back in S3 alongside Suryeon!!
- Dantae breaking down in prison. At least he sincerely loved Aegyo.
- Hera Palace Prison Squad. Totally loved the scene in court and them in their prisoner outfits HAHAHHAA
- Logan. Nothing much to say about his character but i felt he was kinda under utilized in this season. Can't deny his chemistry with Suryeon but it still feels kinda weird given the relationship they have? Like Logan is in love with her step-sister's mum?

Some points i did not like:
- Plot twists were predictable (I guess as much Aegyo died in S1 & Rona's Dad was Yoonchul)
- Inconsistency in Seojin's character. She suddenly became kinda weak, though i know it was for the sake of Eunbyeol. But i do enjoy the part when the 3 of them worked together and her acting surprised with DT's actions LOL. Then at the last few eps she's sudden kinda evil again
- Yoonchul. He really earned my trust right there and down the drain in few episodes. But at least he did something right in the last episode so it's fine
- Jenny + Minhyuk? Like wtf I thought Jenny had some character development and became best friends with Rona. But that last episode? It seems like her EQ/IQ has gone down the drains. Minhyuk seriously had no development throughout 2 seasons sigh

What I would hope to see in S3:
Well, it's unlikely that Logan gonna survive in S3, since almost everyone who died in front of SR never made it back? Unless the writer uses that revive trope again (but it was already used twice in this season?). New villian will most likely be Jenny's Dad & of course Dantae. He seem to be able to sneak out of prison freely? Joowan's character is mysterious, and him leaving the car right before Logan d*ed seems sus. But there's also a possibility he is Suryeon's ex-husband (i know it was a different actor before but they looked similar)?

- Suryeon + Yoonhee reunion. Sigh i loved the both of them, so I hope S3 has more of their interactions
- Eunbyeol coming to her senses. Girl only gets crazier in S2 + that creepy nanny ?? She might be part of the villian trope?
- Rona & Seokhoon. These 2 cuties, I think S3 will show some development between them?

All in all, S2 was still enjoyable. Still in awe that Suryeon is really damn smart. She's really the Queen of Hera Palace. I hope she keeps her spot and sanity. Her loved ones kept dying in front of her. See you guys in S3!

Downhill from season one

This was just very confusing. I had no idea what was happening at all. Maybe its just because I am kind of dumb but still. Why is everyone dead and then alive and then dead and alive again. What is happening??? I really enjoyed and liked season one which left my hopes up for season two but the storyline in my opinion was messy.

The cast and acting stayed amazing as in season one and the soundtracks are amazing. I can see why people like this drama but I personally cant get myself to like this drama.

Is this season as good as the first?

In my opinion, this season is WAYYYYYYYYYY better than the first season. We're only 6 episodes in and in every episode it leaves you wanting more. Being someone whose watching this every week and having to wait for the episodes is rough.. If you barely got through the first season, give the second one ago. Trust, never a dull moment. As for people who dropped the first season, I suggest you pick it up and finish it so you can watch this season. You'll regret dropping the first season. Believe me. I put Penthouse off cos typically not my sort of drama. But since this series I've gotten into them. But Penthouse is .. a masterpiece. The acting is great, the chemistry between characters/actors is good, the suspense is killer.

Season 2 is a definite suggestion to watch.

When I read that it was gonna be faster than season 1, in the way that things evolve, I was like it has to be a joke. I didn't count the number of plot twists in season 1 but there were already a lot. But this is nothing compared to season 2. Like wow, they didn't lied about it. Every single episode have two or three plot twists, and there is no time to calm down between the scenes.

I love how the relationships evolved in this season, there are no groups that didn't go through a dynamics changes, and I feel like even between Seojin and Yoonhee it's gonna change. That's truly impressive, because given what the characters went through, it's just the right thing.

I feel like the acting of all the actors have improved so much. A big big up to Yoon JungHoon, his scenes were truly some of the best in my opinion. The way he acted change from season 1 as much as his character, and it's really satisfying.

The young cast are all truly amazing, and it makes the show even more enjoyable.

Each characters has his ups and downs, and there are moments when I hate all of them, but also moments when I like them (except Dantae). Even when I hated so much a character one episode, I can like/pity/root for/be sad for him the next one. And this is truly impressive.

Easily one of the best drama I've ever seen.

It's a season 2.

Here are some things I want to stress about a 10/10 drama for me. It has to be captivating from beginning to end; it has to have a high rewatch value; it has to not have a part where I want to spam the "skip 10 seconds" button.

I am a firm believer that tv shows should not last more than three seasons and is best when kept at one season. Kdramas are usually one season, which is the main reason I fell for them. However for Penthouse, I wasn't as worried as other people were when season 2 was announced. Seeing how the cliffhanger in season 1 was really good, I just KNEW they had a predetermined plot. Was I disappointed? Not really. Was I impressed? Also not really. It might because I watched this one as it aired and didn't wait for it to finish so I could binge, but the first season is much better for me. Here are the reasons why this season was not up to par. 1) It had way too many plot twists that at one point, my mind just got used to it. 2) Too unrealistic [corresponding with 1]. 3) Too many new introductions of characters in the last few episodes, so it seemed rushed. 4) Not really a big one but there is too much product placement. Like every 10 minutes, they are either advertising 'Nespresso,' healthy nuts, or herbal drinks. I mean...it is effective, but it's just so annoying because last season it was just one product and not that often, but because the drama blew up, they got a lot more sponsors. And they make it so damn obvious when they are advertising too T-T

Now onto the characters and actors. I will stand with what I said in season 1. Here: {{Now, let's talk about the cast and acting. Just want to give a props to the staff for a casting well done!
We'll start with the character Shim Soo Ryun~ quiet, but deadly- caring, but revengeful. There is no better suit for this role than Lee Ji Ah. After watching it all, I don't think I could imagine another actress playing that role.
Then we have Cheon Seo Jin~ covetous and goal-oriented. Nothing can stop her. Not going to lie, at one point in time, I actually admired her. Same situation as the other mentioned character. Kim So Yeon fits the role to the tea. Also, her hoarse screams and rapid-fire rants complete the table!
Next, we have Oh Yoon Hee. I HATED THIS CHARACTER. I spent about 10 minutes ranting to my laptop about why the writers would have the audience see her point of view when she was just going to be evil. Same as the above~ Eugene was a great actress! She definitely made me cry (more than thrice)!
Moving on to Joo Dan Tae. He's just a perfect villain. The character was well developed. That's all there is to it. If I see Uhm Ki Joon act in another drama as the innocent protagonist, I'll probably throw hands. There is no way I can unsee his villainous acting here.
Ooooh--Dr. Ha. This is the one which lost the 0.5 in the acting and cast category. Character? Not badly developed. Don't know if it's the acting or that's just his character, but this guy really gets on my nerves. He literally argues like a two year-old. You know when you watch someone act and you can tell it's acting-- that's BAD acting. He literally sticks his frickin chin out when he's mad. He literally only knows how to communicated by smashing glass (even though all the characters have a fair amount of smashing of glass). Throughout the entire drama, I think the only facial expressions I've seen or at least, remembered, from him is "anger with the chin out."
As for Kang Ma Ri, Lee Gyu Jin and Go Sang Ah, I felt like they fit the role. Not as much as the previous characters other than Dr. Ha, but I mean, they're not really schemers. The comedic relief definitely did it's job. Same goes for the other "suck-ups" to the rich people. They weren't exceptional in both character and acting but not half bad. The maid, Yang Mi Ok/Kim Ro Sa, has pretty good acting as well. It lets the audience know that she is faking it, but it is still believable that the characters in the drama fell for it.
Last but not least, Anna. The staff really played with me. During the first two episodes, I literally thought that Bae Ro Na and Anna were the same person. They looked wayyyy too alike. Her acting was on point though. The staff also played with my damned heart! You can't just build up a character and then make her die. I literally sobbed when she died.
Finally for the cast, let's talk about the kids. Kim Young Dae is on a roll these days. I'm watching one of his other dramas (Cheat on Me if You Can) and have watched many others. Ok>ok. Let's just say: I FELL FOR HIM TT! It literally took me the first 8 episodes to get over Joo Seok Hoon and see him as a bully and then what does he backstab me with: *I like Ro Na*. Ugh. Seok Kyung? Han Ji Hyun was perfect for the role. Ha Eun Byul? Same. She definitely embodied the mental illness that they diagnosed her with. **Addition: I can't believe this is her first TV series.** Yoo Jenny? This one was ok. It's just another one of those stuck-up girls. Lee Minhyuk? The character was just a side one. But, damn, this guy screams *third gen idol acting*. I just knew from his visuals that he was an idol! Finally, Bae Ro Na. Um God, how is Kim Hyun Soo 20 years old!?? Putting that aside, her acting was super impressive and stood out to me among all the "children."}} *Addition: Too many new introductions of characters in the last few episodes, so it seemed rushed--as I said in the previous paragraphs. Also I didn't like how they had famous people guest in the show with no additive at all.

Overall, this is a definite RECCOMEND.
