Time to give Filipino BL's a break cause....no
Well, I did it! I was able to sit down and watch all of the episodes of this series and now I am officially done with this series! And this is one of two things that was good about this series! I'm done and I don't need to wonder about what happened to Bryce and Ethon and thier relationship and I no longer have this series on my On-Hold list.Story-3.5/10
The storyline is to me, personally, a hot mess. The producers and director had an idea about this series and was promoting it so much that bit got me excited. And then I watched the show. I had to put this series on hold at episode four- that's how bad this was to me.
Anyway, storyline! Ethon is a big shot actor, who mets Bryce (at the end of episode two, but they don't talk to each other until episode four), cause he threw down some expensive s@#t at an exhibit (I think?) and Ethon told them that he would pay for it. Of course Bryce has to work it off for him and all of this was planned cause APPARENTLY Ethon likes Bryce! So, he goes and works for him and somehow Bryce and Ethon are in a relationship that we don't see except through a montage. Something happens in episode seven that affects Bryce and Ethon's relationship. And then the ending...wow! I can honestly say that I did not see that coming ( it still didn't make the series good).
Yeah, and they expect me to come and watch the sequel called 'Worth the Wait' after watching this hot mess unfold in these seven episodes. And I would also like to add that Bryce totally deserves better friends.
Acting/Cast-2/10
Everyone's acting sucked. NO ONE could have saved this series. I'm just....ugh!
Music- 9/10
The only good thing about this whole series is the music. Loved every song thatvwas played! But I advise people to find a way to listen to these songs besides watching this series, cause no one deserves to put themselves through so much torture to only listen to some good songs.
Rewatch Valu-1/10
If I coud give this series a 0 or a 0.5, I honestly would! One is too high for this as I know that there is no way in hell that I would rewatch this series again!
Overall-4/10
The music is what made this series score so high of 4/10. I would not recommend this series to anyone. Also, this series made me realize that I need to not watch so much Filipino BL's, cause they are not producing the caliber that they did when they came out last year. May need to take a break from Filipino BL's now.

This is worst than My Day the Series.
After the first episode of My Day the Series, I stopped watching it. I really don't understand the hype about it. One word to describe it... CRINGEY!NOW, I thought My Day the Series is bad, but this one is worst. The only thing that is good about My Toxic Lover is the music, everything else is really bad. From the storyline up to the acting. The cringey over the top acting. It was so painful to watch. Did these actors and actresses even undergo some workshops? And how is the producer and Iñaki Torres related. I mean , why do they keep on casting him considering that he's not good in acting. He's good looking, not my type though. I like Miko Gallardo better.
I saw on the director's FB account that there will be a sequel. My Toxic Lover: Worth The Wait ang title if I am not mistaken. And I was like... "Come on!" Such a waste of time and money.

Lives Up to Its Name - TOXIC!
Dear God, this is so bad. Everything about this is bad. Acting, production, editing, sound, and story. The story is disjointed with self-indulgent characters that bully and intimidate others around them. Filled also with over-the-top gay characters who portray 'gay' behavior in the worst possible way. I really enjoyed Aki in MY DAY but this is just awful. Everyone’s acting was at best amateurish and at worst, looking like they were all ‘winging it’ on their own. There was no sense of direction, no help with timing or delivering lines, or rehearsal, for that matter. Honestly, I could not believe how badly this series was acted throughout.Skip it at all cost,

Very Disappointed
I have respect for Aki, but this was a mistake for him to do. So I'm wondering if this decision had anything to do with the drama after MY Day the series, which was actually pretty good. I've scene series that high schoolers have done and they were way better than this. Did anyone watch this or get a test audiences to view it before final edits? Many seriously bad and awkwardly bad scenes. I hope for Aki's sake they do for the Sequel. The only bright spot in this series is Kevin Salgado. Even with the bad story and scripting he seems to come off as likeable and does a good job with what he was given. I hope he gets his own series and a better series. Was this review helpful to you?
Nevyužitý a navíc nesouvislý příběh, scénář, triviální zápletky, křečovitost, herectví sotva průměrné. Na druhé straně hudba hodně nadprůměr včetně zpracování.

Disappointing
So I have watched upto episode 5 so far. I have a lot of issues with this drama.1. Overacting I don't know but most of the actors and actresses are just too DRAMATIC like come on, there is no reason to overact
2. The plot is so slow and there are unnecessary scenes within the drama like there are certain scenes we don’t need to watch like the director and the art director like is this necessary
3. The ML omg he is so frustrating when I was watching Mr Keizer I was just like cmon, why are you overreacting how are they going to be in a relationship. I really hate him like it’s too much
4. The jumping of scenes one time you are arguing the next you are friends and lovey dovey. Like how did we get there what kind of witchcraft is this. LOL!!!
The storyline is legit but something went wrong with the acting. Overally no matter how bad it is you want to keep watching because of the sweet moments between Bryce and Ethon. Although I don’t understand why we have to see Bryce shirtless all the time, I mean come on are you washing the car or massaging the car. LOL even though its bad I keep watching it every week

I'm just going to say two words: HARD PASS!
What was to like about this show, only three ppl Bryce(Kevin Salgado) he was hot, and his two best friends, which were cute.Otherwise, the storyline is all over the place. It's over the top. At times was very confusing. I wanted to jump off the second floor of my house to make it stop. Haha. I stop watching it when Bryce went back home to the province. After that, it went downhill. I'm not sure what the producers were thinking about casting Aki Torres, he's not a great actor nor great looking. I'm totally shocked you guys decided to make a sequel "Worth the wait". Don't bother watching it. From the rating, it's another disaster. You went from My Day to this laawrd fire your writer and producer. I have never given a one-star to a bl series and this is a first. Sadly, I would give it no stars if I could. I'm American Filipino and for the Philippines to make a series like this is an embarrassment. Someone, please call Thailand to show them how it's done!!

Moved too fast
I love Aki as an actor And by watching this I come to like all the new guys as well but something happened between episode four and five where everything just moved so fast without the viewers seeing the majority of any of it between the two male characters.one minute Ethon is bringing Bryce in to pay off debt and then by then within the next few scenes they are laughing and having a good time and they’re like crushing hard over each other.
Don’t get me wrong I like it it’s fun to watch and the guys are hot and I can’t wait to see how the rest plays out but really it’s like oh give us a little clue in between there.
I mean I could tell from when Bryce was going to take the picture of Dane and Ethon it was like Love at first sight but what about Ethon . Guess I have to wait and find out?
