Best Pacing for a Drama
I will be honest the first 8 Epsidoes I was figuring out if I liked the Male Lead and Female Lead and look now, I finished this 40 episode drama & honestly I have been dropping so many Dramas lately! The more experienced the cast the better, this cast is nothing short of brilliant, the drama doesn't go stale, the writers found ways to continue to make the story fresh, appealing, interesting throughout the 40 Episodes. The chemistry between the entire cast was good.
Jiang Shu Ying was excellent in her role, chemistry with the Male Lead Peng Yu Chang was awesome, they set the tone early.... I mentioned before I need to like the characters or else I drop the drama, these 2 characters become very likeable after 8 episodes, for some even earlier. They grow into their roles. The other main female Lead Liu Min Tao is excellent as well, very strong in her role, the story with her husband also interesting....
The pacing of this drama is very impressive. I do recommend to watch this drama

Modern Law with Romance!
Well everyone another finished series and yes another review, lets get to it.Story: Nice paced modern law series, quite different to others, where there is competition between firms, there's also morals and ethics being played throughout. If you are in the mood for a good solid series with a good law story and background of lawyers trying to do their bit whilst handling pressures from home life than this drama is for you.
Acting: No issues here the main leads do their roles really well. Yu Chang & Shu Ying, had great chemistry and I liked very much how this was not one of those series where a popular person gets the main girl/guy. This series the main male lead had to work super hard just to achieve some form of progress which is awesome and the main female lead is neither rich or hold a powerful position, which is also refreshing
Music: Was needed where it was needed, nothing too hectic. The opening music is quite catchy but the closing music is a bit meh.....
Rewatch Value: Yes there is rewatch value, if you are in the mood for a bit of justice here and there than absolutely. For a Romance point of view, no
Overall: Great acting, great story and good ending. Can some story areas speed up a bit yes, but overall aspects really good thorough modern series that uses more real life cases and scenarios rather than things a bit too far fetched.
Thanks all hope everyone that gives this series a go has a good time viewing. Also to anyone that reads this review, and gained something from it prior to making yourself watch it thanks too.
Cheers
Shing

A great Series
This series had everything in it. It made you laugh, cry, angry and joyful. I really enjoyed this series. The Female leads and Male Leads were on equal footing. Some people will not like it because there isn't a male dominated role. There isn't a pouting, demeaning to women, yanking and telling them what to do. There are positive role women in this series. They are strong and have there minds and allow to exercise their rights and a lot of men don't like it. Strong minded doesn't mean being rude nor does it mean crude. Their are plenty of times the soft side came out. I especially love the rivalry between Xu and Bia. Chen was great! I felt for her getting a divorce and it was her husband fault. You could see the conflict in her face about divorce or keep her family together. When Xu was in front of the court and see showed what happen to her...THAT WAS POWERFUL! She told her the Court don't let this happened to other women.
The cast were clicking together. Their energy was through the roof.
The ending was funny and perfect. I would say the hero in this was Song, because of the sacrifice he did.
I want to thank the Writers and Producers for not making a typical Chinese Drama: Pouting "Bad Boy" demeaning Lead Female throughout the series and towards the end repents and say sorry. Weak mindless lead female will accept the apology and marries or goes off with him.
I have watched this twice and planned on watching it a third.

cerita
kalo mau nonton ini siap" deh perasaannya campur aduk.. bener"menguras tenaga.. alurnya agak kompleks, ceritanya ringan" sedang gitu.. cocok buat yang suka tentang lawyer. aktingnya ga diragukan lagi. benar-benar keren bgt? semoga ada season 2. tapi kalo mau nonton ini di wetv atau iflix, subtitlenya agak ngawur. misalnya kasih keterangan uang 1 juta, malah nulisnya 1000000. kan jadi ribet. terus terjemahan tempat, nama dll.. malah diterjemahin lurus" jadinya bingung. overall uda bagus semua ini, ditunggu karya-karya yang lain dari para aktor/aktrisWas this review helpful to you?
Sweet Romance Evolved Around Court Room
First, I want to share my review based on different levels of thinking.I like the cinematographic setting. I give 2 thumbs up for the acting skills shown by the cast, especially how they portray emotions as required by the script.
This drama doesn't provide a complete picture of most legal cases like other courtroom dramas (I would not think this is a courtroom drama though) but it clearly conveys the values and beliefs of the characters involved. Therefore, I think the opening question of the episode "why do you want to be a lawyer?" find the answers through the values and beliefs of these lawyers and their clients.
I must say this is a typical Chinese drama and should pass tight censorship. However, in this drama, censorship actually brings back the values of the ancient martial world, the more than 3000 years old highly valued relationship of a master (mentor/teacher) and pupils. And just like the “wutang story”, you will see how bad people are punished, and good people finally find justice. Maybe, it's too good to be true.
We can see how a sense of self-identity develops as the characters deal with different clients and life events. The characters we met in the first episode are no longer the ones we saw in the end. A useful takeaway moral value for the audience. In their new sense of self-identity, lawyer characters are ready to express their already balanced values, making them stronger to do more for justice. This is also another takeaway from this drama, so we don’t just get entertainment, but also a set of lessons.

The sublet was very horrible
Yes, it has bad sublet but I think my problem with it was at the ending when one of the female lawyers husband cheated on her she was never there for her husband and she wasn't really there for the kid until the husband got a job far away and when she fought one of her husband colleagues sleeping with him the woman told her talk to husband because men go through things. She ignored her advice, and then he finally cheated, because she was never there. It was weird for me watching this because she put more effort into checking to see if he will cheat instead of talking to her man and then it finally happened and then she won custody of the kid that she wasn't there 95% of the time to take care of that part made no sense, and then she got pregnant in the ending when this people wasn't even communicating that made no sense. It's left a bitter taste in my mouth and his lawyer kept bringing up his wife, might've cheated in his divorce case instead of talking about why father should have the kid instead of the mother when he's there most of the time when she isn't on the other end and she's going to have another kid when she isn't even there for the first one known she's going to have two kids and a promotion and a job that she has less time even in the end in one of the lawyers she helped tells her she works too much so it makes no sense I think they just wanted to give the female lead a win on the trial that didn't make no sense. If you think about it, how could you win a case of custody when you work so many hours and you're never there and now you have a second kid on a promotion that makes you spend more time at work and that's the ending is horrible. Was this review helpful to you?
"LADY OF LAW"
Its good. The drama has a good pacing story and a best cast... (god i hate review in this site i have to type hundred words for this just to be posted LOL) shame i can't find good subtitles in this series, even in the WETV site the sub is absolutely terrible, i think my English just got drop from 10 to 8.0. ??? Anyway... if you understand Chinese and not need to rely on subtitles, the drama has vanilla mystery-genre, good for Watchers who is just starting to watch Mystery-drama, i bet there's no complicated scenes or story in here. This is the only i can come up with the review cuz the subtitles is really terrible. But i can tell this series is really good. Just need good subtitle. ?Was this review helpful to you?
