Refreshing and sweet
I am a bit of a sweet tooth when it comes to drama's as shown in my profile statistics where the romance and comedy genres are placed placed firmly on top.Hometown Cha Cha Cha fits those genres perfectly. The sweet romance and the good chemistry between the ML an FL was nice to watch. And while I found the story pretty well thought out, the romance and the relationships where what truly made this drama one of my favorites. Just a few days ago I started re-watching this drama and was once again impressed by the atmosphere they managed to create in the drama. I was particularly impressed by the actor that played the ML Kim Seon Ho.
I had not watched anything of him before this drama but I should probably check out some of his other dramas soon.

Totally worth binge watch..!
I liked the MC's characters.. One is quite bothering type another is patient type.. I love the way he thinks his helping nature his tolarence.. Everyone needs a person who gives us a shoulder to lean on and "everything will be okay, even its not now it will gradually."I cried I don't know how many times while watching this as well I laughed heartly. I was stressed due to my routine but while watching this drama I completely forgot about the rest..
When gam-ri died I felt really bad cause he was already going through bad time... He was suffering bad even though its not his fault this whole time..
U should totally go for it.. Thanks team for producing such a healing drama.?

Better the second time
I watched this solo the first time and thought it was fine. I'm now rewatching with friends and can better see nuances to the story that give it additional depth. I also didn't fully appreciate the bromance between the ML and 2nd ML the first time through. The casting and acting is superb. While the FL, ML, and 2nd ML are too pretty for reality, the supporting cast shine in embracing their normality (with their quirks turned up to 11).
The cinematography matches well with the vibrancy of color that evoke the emotion of drinking in the warmth of the small costal town and its people.

Enjoyed every minute of it
Unpopular opinion buuuuut Hometown Cha Cha was a 10/10 during the first part and then not as good. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED IT. I squealed, cried, shipped, cried again, laughed. It was a whole rollercoaster. But the last few episodes had wayyyy too much to cover and it wasn't spread equally. Like till Ep 10, the mysteries of Gongjin remained mysteries and then in 4 episodes they covered it all. Also Yoon Hyejin changed a way too much. I wish they kept a lil bit of her snappy, judgy side along with the cute side. But it's still one of the best shows I watched. Kim Seon Ho absolutely KILLED it. LIKE KILLED IT. He is the ideal boyfriend for anyone. Dusik can just run me over with Hyejin's Audi and I will say thank you. He is amazing. So is Hyejin. She was judgy at the start, but so realistically done. Her character was such an everyday gem. She wasn't the Cinderella type nor the Supergirl type. Just an ordinary, extremely pretty girl with realistic views of the world. THEY WERE SUCH A CUTE COUPLE.
One last thing, I wished they had a lil less of the Gongjin villagers. I loved their storylines and would defo want them in the drama. I love Bora and Injun and everyone really. All their storylines were necessary and personal and emotional. But I wish they all didn't appear everywhere like at the SikHye wedding randomly. It seemed a little too planned and too cliche to my tastes. Also the random emergency at the wedding gave me MAJOR Descendants of the Sun vibes.
OVERALL
It's a pretty relaxing drama talking about trauma and love of different types. It's really beautifully done. The shots are stunning and so is the town. Every character talked about important things and about healing. I would 100% recommend this to anyone.

Pretty decent drama with one annoying female lead at time.
I've finished this showI liked it. However more than half of the show is absolutely painful to get through because the main female lead is super annoying and has some type of superiority complex.
Really got on my nerves. She became likeable almost the end of it but omg, what the hell lol.
Also the last two episodes on the show turned into super depressing, and lot of crazy coincidental events one after the other.
I was omg, what the hell is happening.
The main lead guy has to be the most unlucky main character in term of love life and family members.
I do think the two leads do have great chemistry together but she was written as someone super stuck up and annoying
But she got over it as the show goes on but it took way too freaking long for that to happen. She became very supportive, lovable and caring to him specially during tough times when he had to keep his emotions and feelings to himself due to lot of trauma.
Will I watch this again? Probably not since I didn't like the female lead lol
She's adorable though. She has cute dimples and him as well.
I've seen people calling them the dimple couple. It fits.
The show is super slow and it's not funny, there isn't any characters there that stands out. Just a very slow burn.
Just a very basic kdrama.
Episode 15-16
Hell even started on episode 14 tbh lol
Absolutely depressing af lol
But anyway 8/10 seems fair.

drama of the year 2021! i said what i said
so i watched this as it was releasing and i found myself excited for every Saturday. the whole premise of the story seemed really interesting to me so I impulsively started it after watching strangers from hell.this show was so heartwarming and made me cry, laugh, cry-laugh, kick my feet in the air. i loved the tight-knit community and how everyone in the village had their own story and struggles. they didn't just focus on the main leads, we got to see the children, the adults, the elderly live their lives. it was very simple and healing. i could definitely see myself rewatching this in the future and i am wrapped around its finger.
also kim seon-ho's smile!!!! the cutest thing ever, it was so contagious AHH. him and hyejin were adorable idc what anyone says. sure hyejin did some cringe aegyo but i was able to look past that honestly because regardless, i thought they were really cute. i also love bickering couples lolol gives them more personality which was the case for homecha.
the love triangle in this was actually done right! the second lead wasnt pushy or annoying and he got along with the male lead (for the most part lolol). there was no toxicity between the SL and FL and no confusion. very refreshing!
overall, the scenery and music were really beautiful. i loved the location of the village and the sea, it was truly an experience to watch this for the first time just admiring the views. i dont think any other drama of 2021 compares to this. I highly recommend it!!

Can't get over the series.....
If you are looking for a light-hearted romantic comedy series this is for you. This series has a excellent vibe as it is set on a sea side location. You will definitely enjoy the asthetics of the series. The series is a heart warming, healing, falling in love, comedy, slice of life , refreshing, emotional series. There are many characters in the series and everyone has their own life problems and all the problems are very realistic which people can definitely relate to....
The main lead couple is very adorable and the process of the main leads falling in love is adorable...
The ost of the series is just perfect and very memorable and catchy and just matched the vibe....
I can really get over the series after watching it........

It's a cute little show about healing.
I am honestly not the.best one to be reviewing these shows because I enjoy them so much more than most American television that I would just give them all 10's. :)With that said, I try not to and I gave this an 8.5. Mostly because I didn't enjoy the music as much as others. What!? I had to take points of somewhere! lol Just kidding
I think overall the show was very good. The self-healing journey that the ML had to go through was heartbreaking and getting to know him more and more as episodes went on was a nice journey for the viewers since he started off as not likable at all.
Someone the supporting characters were annoying at times . Like the gossiper and annoying and mean teenage daughter but even they became likeable.
if you're looking for just a cute short show and aren't looking for any real depth. Then I think you'll like this show. But again I can't bring myself to rate anything bad because I like them all so take it with a grain of salt. :)

It's okay
As someone who grew up in a town, I have to say the writing for each of the characters was very sensible. I could relate so much and the characters felt real, they provoked me,made me judge, made me laugh and made me cry (just a few times) I just love when a drama has good character depth which makes it seem like the viewer is actually watching real people and their problems . And the acting was so good,I can excuse a bad storyline but if the acting is bad ,it would be dropped. The costume is design is also noteworthy, each suited the character's personality especially the male lead.But.......why is it so highly rated? I hated the childhood trope incorporated in this drama it was unnecessary and was so contrived. And also his mental breakdown should have been reviewed in like episode 13 or something, it's a character driven drama, I don't understand why it was rushed .
It's one of those highly rated dramas that didn't wow me or anything but I appreciated a lot of it's components like the character depth, realistic familial relationship and the sceneries.

Both comforting and realistic
Although the story started in a really cliché way that reminded me of Christmas Hallmark movies (FL goes into a small town, hates it there but then she meets the ML who shows her the true meaning of Christmas... er I mean life, you get it), it quickly turned out to be something much more.I liked how the relationship between the leads developed and despite the fact that there were two of my absolutely-not-favourite tropes (leads meeting as children & love triangle), the drama didn't focus on them so much for it to be annoying. Yes, the two leads met or almost met at multiple points in their lives but they focused mostly on the present. The love triangle was done so well and all the three leads have a great chemistry together, I liked how none of the MLs was a jerk and how they communicated well with each other.
The side characters in this drama were to die for! I really couldn't choose a favourite even if I had to. They were realistic, diverse, and mostly had their own ups and downs that got me completely immersed in their stories. I also liked how we were shown the lives of people of different ages, especially the three elderly ladies, I loved their friendship!
I rate this drama 9/10, if you're wondering whether to watch it or not, definitely go for it! It's more perfect for watching an episode a day/a few days rather than binge-watching though.
