no chemistry

Ep 4- There was no chemistry between these two in this at all. I loved the actors, and the plot was okay; it was bad but wasn't horrible. the only bit of chemistry these two had was on the bridge running into each other and dragging each other. Other than that this was highkey giving a family reunion between that cousin you don't like but are forced to hang out with it. Okay bye.

Decent Ep!

Decent short form storytelling, not too complicated, not too weird, decently cute and feels fairly complete (especially compared to other eps in this series).

Just One Life (Luck, Karma, Superstition)

this was cute and had funny bits, have to say (not that the 2nd ep was that bad. just my biased about one of the guys in that duo, that i've already mentioned. plus weird, plot) this really picked up since the previous ep. this not better, but for the most part was good. ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************this duo (even though watched YYY, don't remember them from there. as in, how i felt about them together. totally recognized Yoon and yet didn't know from where. Lay on the other hand, seeing him thought of his better half Ram (Perth) from My Engineer, now that was a coupling i needed more off). **********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************back to this ep, they cute together and think the sec we see Ping in the "i love sunshine" t-shirt, while he gave Peam one with a smiling sun on it - hint hint... it was obvious what was going on. there was a sec i was sure he even paid the dude in black, that kept popping-up whenever Peam was sceptic about whatever superstitious activity Ping planed. so the end was adorably predictable. *******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************even though the 'fly in the ointment' was Ping acting like a Victorian bleedin Virgin when Peam kissed him on the forehead - this was made in 2021 and STILL "we" acting demure, really?!? would say grow-up, but what wanna say - grow a pair !

short story done right!

- Now we're at LayYoon's episode, episode 4! This is my second favorite episode of the series. XiaoPing, down on his luck when it comes to love seeks guidance from his best friend Peam. The adventures the two endure with rituals, praying, blind faith, etc was both lighthearted and heartwarming.

- The one thing this episode did better than it's last 3 predecessors was was being able to tell a cohesive story in its short time frame. We understood the plot, we saw the dynamics, and we even got a pretty satisfying ending.

- Right away you can see the strong bond of friendship between XiaoPing and Peam, even though Peam seems to have more feelings than friendship. Even though this was all a game for Peam, in the end he was still able to finally confess his feelings for XiaoPing, and help him realize that the love he'd been seeking all this time was right there in front of him. I love that we actually got to see XiaoPing coming to realize his feelings for Peam and it looked genuine. It didn't feel forced, or out of place. This was one of my favorite couples in the series and now I want to see more of them.

- Rank: 8/10

Quite a breeze watching it

Just realised we can separately rate the episodes, so here I am copying my review of the overall series into the specific episodes. The premise is quite interesting featuring various types of superstitious practices. I also like that we are shown the friendship between the two lead instead of forcing a romantic shade to it. In the limited time they were given, I could see how Peem might have developed/realised his feelings for Xiao Ping, instead of being told to accept it "just because the script said so". There was a proper closure to this episode, which felt like the start of something (this could be a pre-series teaser). One complaint: The OST track for this episode was abruptly inserted into a scene. Is it a KPI to feature the song in the episode? The insertion was too jarring and spoilt the flow of that scene. Acting was ok, nothing spectacular but not awkward.

Sweet

This episode was just pure sweetness. Talay and Yoon were awesome. The story was a bit flat at times for me but still super enjoyable and adorable.
