Those of you watching, be careful what expectations you have!

Episode six, already seen, reignites the drama... I cannot ask an unevenly distributed population to change their views on life/death/relationships within families/experiments... I don’t know what they were mainly expecting from a drama set in space—stand-up comedy? Romance? The crash of the NY stock exchange or having coffee at a four-star restaurant? There, people conduct experiments, during the time period proposed as the setting for this sci-fi... I was impressed because in this episode, life steps out of its limited, ephemeral, and sexual space to meet the timeless aspect of existence... Professional rules, material concerns, honesty, love, betrayal, all these are discussed in a whirlpool full of life. I exulted when the protagonist erupted with reproaches toward the heroine—maybe it wasn’t okay, but it was entirely sincere, from his level of understanding of life, and he became a believable character, beyond the unrealistic and stereotypical perfection of protagonists that Lee Min Ho usually portrays. Finally, he breaks free of the mold, and I will search for more of his recent dramas. To the critics, I remind them of the 2017 film Salyut-7, made with cosmonauts based on true events that happened in 1985... that’s how I think things unfold in space—people aren’t just sitting around chatting.
I will add more as episodes are released. I’m sure I would have been happier if there were a maximum of 12 episodes, and I should add that the OST is very, very good!!!

A funny comedy

First, everything looks like it takes place really in outer space, starting with mice movements and ending with the actors' ones. Second, it's very funny: I laughed a lot! The entire family barely waits to Sunday afternoon, when we can watch two episodes in a row. Third, both Gong Hyo-jin and Lee Min-ho have strong personalities on screen in general, and here there is no exception.

It may not appeal to everyone, especially if you expected a drama instead of a comedy, but if you give this k-drama a chance, you may not be dissapointed. I really love it!

Space cringe opera

This show is trying to be many things at the same time but doesn't get one right.

The humor is stale and cringy, like feet fetish level.

The director is all about style above substance, like the pointless dream like pool sequence and other space screensaver shots that bring nothing to the story progression.

But, a even bigger problem is that the characthers storylines are outlandish and cheesy and the premisse is simply preposterous: let's shoot some dead chaebol heir sperm into space ...

Such a big budget and so many known actors for this this trainwreck off a show. At least this is a clear winner for the category "cringiest show off the year".

Not for everyone

Honestly, I don’t get all the hate this kdrama is getting. To me, it’s been a fantastic show with stunning cinematography.

I’ve seen some people saying they don’t like it because the female lead isn’t ‘pretty enough’ for Lee Min-ho, or that the space theme feels boring, and so on. But honestly, it seems like many of you just prefer the same clichéd romances where the leads are conventionally attractive. So, I’ve come to realize this drama isn’t for everyone.

Personally, I think the main leads are delivering amazing performances, and their chemistry is spot on.

That said, if you’re open-minded and ready for something a little different, I think it’s absolutely worth checking out.

I'm enjoying this!

This reminds me of Thunderbirds - UK 1970s. Not to be taken seriously, for enjoyment.
I know it all ridiculous but I've been laughing at the silliness of it all. I'm liking the mad story, the flies and the mouse. I know the medical bits aren't serious but I have a feeling it will get more yukky later on. The personalities are stuck in a box with very little room but they've acted out well. I'll keep watching!

Bold sci-fi rom-com redefines K-Drama with depth, risk, and charismatic leads.

The pacing is new, the writing is new (just like the characters/story obviously), the blend of genres is new, the cinematography is new, everything is new. This is a sci-fi rom-com with depth, interesting themes and a very high budget. They took the risk despite the space genre not being Koreans' cup of tea. The only 16-episodes dramas produced to this day on the big channels, no matter how much you love them, are full of popular tropes because they need to be guaranteed hits, accessible worldwide and to a huge audience... Here, you get something close to an original story like Forecasting Love and Weather (but closer to a comedy than a melodrama). It is presented as somewhat of a messy office romance (like FLAW), which makes it even more interesting. This drama feels real and raw compared to others. There is a lot to learn with such setting, and to reflect on with how complicated human emotions and relationships are. Perhaps more than science. I enjoy searching about some stuff while watching this drama. The evident lack of popularity and how underrated it is is sad. But, it happens. Nothing we can do about it. Still, people not watching it because it is not popular enough and doesn't receive as much love as it should, is just depressing at this point. I'm glad they took a risk and hope that they will be able to try new things again. I also love that for once now, we get a 16-episodes K-Drama with mature, charismatic, experienced actors like Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin. I actually liked Lee Min Ho's character in The Heirs the most (really couldn't with BoF, Pachinko isn't my cup of tea, and The King...very forgettable, Blue Sea I might enjoy) because of Kim Tan being a more mature teenager without being perfect or unbearable, and I am glad to see him in a role like this one. It's not only different for him, but in general. All that to say that I highly recommend this beautiful drama. Even if you don't like it, please respect the quality and effort put into it.

U can't get everything right with sci-fi drama/movie expecially since its not American product

The narrative's focus is on a romantic comedy set in space, which naturally requires bending some scientific truths for dramatic effect. Characters like Gong Ryong, an OB-GYN with a secret mission, and the interactions between astronauts and tourists, are more about advancing the plot than adhering to scientific plausibility.

there might b moments when u hate on this because it lack scientific truth but for once let's be sensible and understand that this is all fictional like they won't make everything looks perfect....at least the main thing was don perfectly that's the CGI and VFX

And for the cheating aspect this is something that is real like it happens to moat people (Falling in love with someone else when already u are already in a relationship) this is always because the current situation mean the relationship is lacking and as long as they broke up before anything happens it's no cheating (forget abt emmotion cheating)

Love, Laughter, and Zero Gravity: A Cosmic Rom-Com Adventure

When the Stars Gossip shines as a cosmic adventure brimming with fun, ambition, innovation, and romance. Starring the ever-charismatic Lee Min Ho and the brilliant Gong Hyo Jin, the drama offers a fresh and delightful twist on familiar tropes. Lee Min Ho takes on the role of a financially struggling OB-GYN doctor who, in an unexpected turn of events, embarks on a mission to space as a tourist. Opposite him, Gong Hyo Jin captivates as Commander Eve Kim, a perfectionist, rule-abiding space professional driven by her passion for her work. Their clashing personalities spark instant intrigue, setting the stage for a romance that’s far from ordinary.

Unlike the usual rom-com fare, **When the Stars Gossip** blends humor, heart, and futuristic adventure. Only two episodes in, and it’s already clear this drama will deliver a captivating mix of romance and comedy, thanks to a well-rounded cast and dynamic writing.

The second leads are just as engaging, with the **second female lead** portrayed as the sole heir of MZ Corporation and Lee Min Ho’s current girlfriend. The narrative benefits from a strong ensemble of familiar and beloved faces, adding to its charm and promise.

The premise of a cosmic journey with a unique focus on fertility in space hints at exciting twists and turns to come. With its stellar cast, innovative concept, and a perfect balance of humor and heartfelt moments, When the Stars Gossip promises a delightful escape. I’m eager to see how this unconventional space-bound romance continues to evolve and keep us entertained.

Continuing my review after episode 4, I had high hopes and tried to keep an open mind with this big-budget drama featuring a star-studded cast, but now that I’m on episode 3, the narrative feels disappointingly mediocre. I’m not trying to be harsh, but it’s missing that gripping hook that keeps you eagerly anticipating the next episode. After patiently waiting for the story to pick up through the first two episodes, my excitement is starting to wane.

It's a great drama, with a great cast. From the very first episodes, she draws attention to the screen and makes you empathize with the characters. Lee Min Ho played Dr. Gong Ryong amazingly, his acting talent was revealed from a previously unknown side, he is a great actor! This is a completely new direction in Korean cinema. An interesting, exciting plot with a deep meaning captures more and more attention with each episode. Thanks to everyone who worked on creating this amazing drama. I'm looking forward to the release of each episode to meet the characters again and immerse myself in space adventures!

An Insterstellar Romance at its Best!

Lee Min Ho & Gong Hyo Jin in a cosmic romance, what could go wrong?

One of the most expensive Korean dramas to be produced in a long time, “When the Stars Gossip” has one thing working in its favor- a brilliant casting. Starring Lee Min Ho, Gong Hyo Jin, Oh Jung Se & Han Ji Eun in lead roles, the storyline showcases a romance in the midst of interstellar adventures. Set in the mystique world of outer space, the show focuses on survival instincts and mostly, reproductive abilities, especially in a scenario where resources are scarce, and they have to battle zero gravity on a daily basis. The challenges aligned with conducting research based experiments forms the core of this story. The varied characters play their role well, driving the narrative in an intriguing manner. Lee Min Ho’s Gong Ryong is an adorable personality with a tinge of rebellious attitude and oodles of fear+anxiety. This was my first time watching Lee Min Ho quiver on fear and to say, it was interesting wouldn’t suffice!

Its not every ones cup of tea but try it yourself!

"When the Stars Gossip" is a blend of sci-fi and romance that might not appeal to everyone, but I find it captivating. The story revolves around a tourist, an OB-GYN doctor, who is set to marry a chaebol princess. However, he embarks on a secret mission that takes him to a space station, where he encounters a strong-willed and daring space commander.

The drama unfolds at a slow pace, which I believe serves as a thoughtful introduction to the plot and characters. It’s refreshing to see that the narrative doesn’t solely focus on romance; instead, it delves into the various scientific studies and experiences of the characters aboard the space station. I appreciate how this approach offers a different perspective on the genre.

As the leads are currently involved with other people, I’m curious to see how their relationship develops, especially given the sensitive nature of their circumstances. The casting is excellent, and the acting has been impressive so far. Overall, I'm excited for what’s to come and encourage others to watch it without being swayed by ratings or reviews. Form your own opinion and enjoy the journey!
