And the cinematography of the show was gorgeous - clean, bright, emotional, and fitting for every scene. The narrative style, in which a plot relevant quote was used to start and end each episode (often with a double meaning for weather and life), was really well executed. Honestly, despite the very different genres - it reminded me of the style used with the US show Criminal Minds. The music was also well chosen, and many songs were added to my own collection to listen to later.
Despite my high rating, I'm not gonna say the show is perfect. Some characters went way too far in my opinion to get the happy ending they did without the amount of work they should've done. And I would have loved it if the show went an even rarer route of keeping estranged family members estranged (they were estranged for a reason).

A life-lesson drama
Why 9/10?I usually rate romance dramas around 7 or 8 at most. I gave this one an extra point because of its focus on the understanding needed for a couple and how well it was portrayed. From start to finish, this was all about what happens when:
1 - you don't try to put yourself in the other person's shoes,
2 - what happens if you do try,
3 - and what happens if you try too much.
Story:
I liked the parallel with the weather but as I said the most interesting thing in this drama is its psychological aspect.
The secondary couple was fun to watch, I guess that's how producers justified to call it a romantic comedy. But with the main couple, it's a borderline melodrama at times so I agree that the comedy tag had to be removed.
Acting/Cast:
I'm not a big fan of Park Min Young but it's the first time I actually liked her acting. I'm guessing that's because she doesn't smile as much in this drama so it doesn't feel forced. I suppose her character's personnality is closer to her own actual self.
As for Song Kang, it's my first time watching him as a main lead and I quite liked him.
What is this life-lesson you'll learn in this drama ?
Do try to understand how others think and why, but above all don't just assume things and go talk to them to be sure you're right before doing anything stupid.

Both love and weather are hard to predict but at least there’s science behind weather…
At first it’s just like cliche Office romance. I just got curious about their work as weather forecasters. What they do and how they do it is interesting.Song Kang and Park Min Young's chemistry is great. Swoon worthy! I don’t understand why some people think they don’t have Chemistry, maybe because of the age gap? But that’s part of the story line.
I like that it’s fast pace and that there were no boring episodes but the last few episodes are kinda disappointing. Characters have become so inconsistent and there were a lot of nosy coworkers. (Which I think is normal in Korea?)
I love Yoon Park but I really hate his Character. He's childish and kinda narcissist. And I hate the fact that Kijun and Hakyeong become somewhat friends after he cheated on her. I don’t think it’s realistic even though both already moved on. He still cheated and he hasn’t properly apologized!!
1st episode, they said that Hakyeong was being too careful but for me she isn’t. She ignored everything and trusted the wrong guy. But she admitted it redeemed herself afterwards.
I actually hate that it looks like they just exchanged partners. Maybe could be better if they changed this part. IDK. I hate the cheating part and people seem not to care. Hayssss
Donghan- kind man but can’t even man up to his wife. I hate his wife. Hays. Though I liked that his wife said instead of always saying 'sorry' he could have said 'thank you' instead.
Taekyung and Shin's story is so cute too! Love them!
The ending? I am only curious about what will happen to Hakyeong and Siwoo and I am not disappointed. Love may be difficult for them but love is still stronger.
Although I don’t think what happened to Siwoo's father is realistic.
Anyway, overall, I enjoyed it. Their office romance is swoon worthy. Though it could have been better in some ways.

Had a potential but not anymore
This is a very realistic and honest review, I'm not into biased side.Well this show actually had a potential to be "decent" but its hot mess after 12 episodes. Very disappointing.
First 4 episodes were kinda fine, we got to know the backstory and the relations of the Main and side characters but it went downhill from there I'd say.
Relationship between main leads is just not connected and is very random. You can't just relate to any character of this show, they just live in their own worlds where logic and rational thinking doesn't exist at all. FL got cheated because she never talked to her ex, ML's gf just left him without any word. No one in this show knows how to COMMUNICATE with each other, they just do whatever they want and even FL's mom is on that side, she just desperately wants her daughter get married despite her own marriage was failure and her both daughter's marriages were called off too, like who the hell would do that?
Just like how this show isn't getting any better we got salt in the wound, ML's dad. I get it, director wants him to look like he's leeching his son and making his life hard in any way possible but c'mon you could do it way better. His actions are very unnecessary and forced, popping out of nowhere and making extremely awkward situations that no one in the world can relate.
At last, the narration of this show is just pure disappointment. We barely get screentime of main characters and when they get it they're just into some drama that they love each other but can't be together. There's no character development in this show whatsoever, everyone's relationship with each other is problematic, no one is happy but everything somehow will be fine in the last episode after couple of moments. Just that's how it's gonna be.
Didn't expect anything much after reading the synopsis when this drama was about to be aired, just expected it to be average but here we are. Gave this drama chance because of Park Min Young, really liked her role in Whats Wrong With Secretary Kim, I think rom-com genre suits her better, not this forced melodrama, conflicted snoozefest.

Accidentally Dropped Mid-Airing Because It's So Dull
It tries to be deep with weather analogies, but most of the time is spent with people pulling each other aside to have tense arguments at work or sullenly avoiding each other. Usually, by the time I get this far, I might as well finish it. I just don't care what happens to the main leads, which is unfortunate because there was so much potentially initially with the happy-go-lucky ML meteorologist.Everyone is unhappy in their relationship. Perhaps it ends up that they're happy, but it's such a drag to watch.
I might watch the final one but I can't stand the thought of sitting through another episode of sullen adults who can't communicate with each other and can't get their priorities straight.

“A small thing can change everything.”
“When body temperature drops by 1°C, our body’s immune system weakens by as much as 30 percent. This means that you become vulnerable to external attacks. The same goes for the temperature between people.”- Lee SiWooThis drama has finally came to an end. It started off quite big, due to it's interesting plot with weather and meteorologists, and after a while, it lost it's sparkle and many people dropped it.
I'm glad I didn't.
The drama isn't for everyone. It simply focuses on daily life, daily working life, peoples' ups and downs, hardships and relationships.
“Forecasting Love and Weather” is a JTBC romance drama about the work and love lives of people who work at the Korea Meteorological Administration, Korea’s national weather forecast service.
Park Min Young stars as the frosty and cold Jin Ha Kyung, who does everything by the book and is careful and steady about keeping her personal and professional lives separate after being hurt throughout her whole life by many people, while Song Kang stars as the free-spiritedLee Si Woo, who is extremely intelligent but only cares about the weather, for some reason.
As their sweet secret office romance continued and kept on growing- it became so sweet that the people around them started to smell something.
Hope the whole cast gets more roles in future and I hope to see PMY in a drama that challenges her outside of rich lifestyle, office and same wardrobe type of drama. It'd be extremely fun to see her in a role she hasn't played before.
The drama didn't have a special plot but kept me around for some reason, it was one of those dramas you'd watch after you realise you have nothing else to watch, so I'd recommend seeing it if that's the case.

The forecast is bad
I should've known when I wasn't captured by the first episode that this would be a trainwreck you can't look away from. However, I try to give a drama a few episodes before I drop it. So, I kept watching & episode two was better so I continued on. By the time we were reaching the second half of the drama, I felt this drama was losing what could make this a decent drama. For starters, while using weather as symbolism for what was happening in the story was fine, the weather talk itself during their jobs wasn't appealing & only got more boring as the episodes went on. I think the concept was okay in theory but the way it was written & executed was greatly lacking. For example, while it brought awareness to some forecast issues that we may have never thought about, it simultaneously made things appear overdramatic.
The drama started with the leads showing that they could have chemistry & then it just fell apart as the writing of their characters got worse. There was inconsistencies & actions that the characters made that didn't make sense given what had happened in the story before. I didn't feel their chemistry at all. (Also, I love PMY but her acting was awkward here & the worst that I've seen from her.)
I wasn't interested in the stories of the secondary characters.
But, the worst part about this drama was the way the cheaters were glorified and got away with gaslighting. It made me feel so upset seeing FL's ex run to her for relationship advice & her giving it to as if he didn't hurt her in the way that he did. Some will say that he apologized her & it's okay to be friends with your ex but this case isn't it. To me, his apology was the bare minimum, as he didn't fully apologize for everything that he did & because of how he still felt a need to show off to her. Thinking about it again is making me shake my head so I will end this by saying skip this drama. I wanted to give the rewatch a zero but I wasn't allowed to :p

Disappointed
I love both leads but oh dear what a waste! There was a palpable lack of chemistry between the two - despite both being so good in other dramas and capable of some really believable intimate scenes, these two just seemed awkward even when just hugging each other. Was it their 7 year age difference that made them uneasy with each other? Although their relationship started with one night stand there was no further obvious desire for each other - so we were left with the marriage/no marriage scenario. On his part I didn't quite get it- so he based this on his awful father? Because he was such a failure so he distrusted marriage or because he would be a burden? Well he was a burden already so what difference would marriage make?!I just felt from the word go their relationship made no sense - particularly them getting together after their break ups of only 2 months? You don't get over a break up in such a short time - I guess this led to their difficulties as a couple as they had unresolved issues. However this just dragged without any really fun and believable scenes to give any depth to their relationship.
The second leads? They certainly had a character development arc - which lets face it they needed as they both cheated on their partners and therefore started pretty low. Theitrfast wedding led to the harsh realities of marriage. The 2ML I just didn't get- why was he so obsessed with her ex and his relationship with his ex? Comedy factor with him following them? Just seemed bizarre behaviour. Frankly I wasn't interested in their relationship or character development as they both cheated in the most awful way and for that I could not forgive them, despite even his developing awareness of how he acted so badly. I can't believe The Fl and him ever lasted 10 years with him being so immature and selfish - even if she also had faults in the relationship. Plus the way the exes turned to each other for advice? Please- too much too soon given how they cheated- just why would their exes want to give them relationship advice let aone her helping him write his column!!
The other couples - again immature men not communicating or facing their their responsibilities. How many dramas can withstand so many weak men?!!
The weather aspect was good - as an analogy to relationships and for its information on S Koreas climate and weather. But the meeting scenes dragged on and broke up the relationship stories.
I fast forwarded so many scenes as the series went on - a sure sign a drama is just not engaging me!
The ending? His father suddenly had a complete change of character due to his cancer diagnosis? Sorry just not believable. The fact it seemed like their was a wedding meeting between respective parents? Where did this suddenly come from? The couple just started their relationship again with the same lines from when they started- this sums up the weakness of how this couples relationship was dealt with - where was the sharing and connecting of minds, what did they love about each other, and what was that pathetic breakup all about? They didn't share their thoughts or feelings in any believable way.
I could go on venting my disappointment at the waste of two such good actors - lets hope they both get better roles and this doesn't tarnish their future. I'm finding it hard to see her in any future roles - she has become possibly a little too old to be in such immature relationship dramas with none of the depth of character of her previous roles.?

Dont sleep on this drama!
If you saw the trailer and thought , nah doesn't look good ( like me before ) rethink you decision and watch it. I started watvhing ot because thats one drama of SK and PMY i haven't watched it and so I thought since I'm waiting for my other drama to come out this week ( My Demon ) why not watch it.I SHOULD HAVE DONE THE EARLIER!
This drama is ro REAL, the actors did such a good job of portraying the struglles and problems of their age and situation.
And not just that , also the relationships between their parents is so real. The struggles of gaving a mother pushing you constantly to marry or a father who's constantly pesting you for money and taking al your savings.... which in turn makes it hard for you to buy a house or sth like that.
But the way thay portrayed the traume of a bad break up was well done. Like trust issues, ceeping a wall between the other partner so that you can protect yourself and don't get to attached/love to beeply. And the struggles of the other partner trying to make the other feel less anxious and make them feel loved and be honest in communicating.
Or like one person not believing in marriage and the other only dated with marriage in mind. How and why they think so is shown to the viewers so good!
The communicaton was also done so well ! I mist dramas they always get jealous and dont communicate why they're upset or if they do its childish done.
In this drama both almost always, mostly immediately told the other partner what was wrong so there where no misunderstandings like "she/he saw her ex does this means she/he still has feeling for him/her " Sure they didn't like it when the other saw their ex lover and they got annoyed but they communicated why as well.
Also the relationships between the exes is also life like, what I mean is that some couples even if they ended on bad terms or one of the 2 cheated, some get over it and stay frendish??
What i didnt like:
I didn't like that JHK ( FML) got so quickly in a new relationship after the bad breakup, is it so easy to get over a person with whom you've been 10 years together? She still loved him when he betrayed her, so her getting so easly over him makes it nonchalant. Like it was nothing, but when you see the scene how of how sad and broken she is .... Not that she should stay single forever ? but the thing is I don't know how many months its beens since she and the SML split up... it would have been nice to know the exact time frame.
LSW' father redemption arc: The only thing i didnt like is that they gave LSW ( ML) ' father a redemption arc in the last 2 episodes
Thats why I gave this drama a 8/10, if they did it little differently I would have given them a 10/10 .
I'll stop here, cause I don't want to spoil the whole drama. Moreover I can keep going on ? but the review is already so long and I don't wanna write a book.

What's was the point of this?
It really felt like the plot was going in circles for 16 chapters. They showed us something very promising in the first episodes, it felt fresh and new but then it was so tiring to see the leads fight and get back together in every single episode, so little by little I lost interest and at the end of the drama they were the ones that mattered the least to me, I think that the couple that saved the drama in the end was "the penguin couple".
And the thing that left the worst taste in our mouths was that they showed that pair of cheaters living happily and pretending to be good people, what happened in the writer's head here?, seeing the comments is a share opinion, it was so disgusting to see them.
In this drama we didn't see any growth of the characters, no development and that they give it to us until the last moment of the drama as if nothing, it feels so unnatural.
The weather plot was something I enjoyed but combining it with these ridiculous love stories was not good.

The last episodes felt rushed
I have too much to say avout this drama i dont know where to start.I started this drama because of the two mainleads and i found myself watching 3 additional love story in the process. In other circumstances, i would not complain but what was that ?
First of all, the main couple:
They were both traumatised by their previous relationship vecause they got cheated on and their exes got married in two months. All of their excuses and couple problems were valid but why did they get resolved in 1 episode. Lee si woo's gambling father becomes a father when in 15th episode all he cared about was money ! And now he is sick and almost dead and now he decide to be good. And while speaking how did he avoid jail or the police ?
Now, Jin Ha kyung, i have nothing to say except that Park Min Young's face looked really pale. And she never looked that pale in every other drama i watched her in.
Now the second lead couple:
They were like a bad joke, really. They both cheated on their partners to be together, for whatever reasons they didn't like their relationship. But they hurt their partner and had the audacity to want to "stay friends" and want help in their marriage ? Nothing ever happened in their marriage really appart from the fact that they were immature. Honestly Char Yu-Jin wasnt that bad but her husband was the very definition of shameless. He acted impulsively and childishly and had the audacity to not understand why people were mad at him. They were tiring to watch, i skipped almost every scenes with them. Quite frankly i dont get why it was needed to see them be happy in their relationship when they are the reason why Tae-Kyung was struggling so much with her relationship.
The third couple was the cute and light couple. Nothing to say about them, really.
I want to add that the 3 last episodes were rushed and made no sense to me. Characters personalities were twisted to fit a prematured happy ending. I think they miscalculated the pace of the drama.
Would not reccomend at all

A little on the dreary side,
I really wanted to give this a higher rating but it did drag a bit in the middle, and I wish they gave us more of the 'fluffy romance' between the leads since the latter half became so blogged down with the problems in their life that you wondered why they even started it. I didn't see it as a lack of chemistry between the leads - more of a missed opportunity to let it shine. While some of the issues in the drama did make me lose interest at times - they were important, mainly on the side of how hard it is for a woman in a field like this. How getting married and having children could destroy your fledging career, how woman are still expected to be the primary caregiver even when working full time, how its always harder for the woman in the the case of a office break up, or how it's still okay for a man to talk down even when they are on the same level. Even with the FL mom's obsession with marriage to the point her own daughters couldn't stand her most of the time. She was annoying - but I think, also the in the case of Si Woo's dad (who was a complete POS for most of the drama and caused his son so much pain) was to showcase how their behavior wasn't okay. The discussion of marriage itself was important - and is it really the most important thing in a relationship? Is it okay to burden someone you love?
(Also please don't treat civil servants like your own personal punching bags because they got the forecast wrong. I can't imagine how hard is to predict these things, especially where I live where this winter it was 60 degrees one day, snowing the next, cold, hot, snow, rain. It made no sense).
Some writing for some characters was better than others - Lee Si Woo and Ki Joon probably stood out the most. Si Woo seeming so positive despite the demons in his past and Ki Joon, who was just such a flat out jerk (dumping his girlfriend of 10 years who he was planning a wedding with only to marry the woman he was sleeping with on the side instead, trying to scam his ex out of money, at one point stalking her, trying to blame her for his problems, etc) who had relied so much on his ex he couldn't function and had a wife that was expecting to lean on him. Ha Kyung, herself, was just so difficult to read, so it was hard to judge if it was PMY's acting or just the character in general. They showed us moments of her growth only for her to do nothing with them.
As for the cheating aspect - what they did was terrible, but I don't think they deserve a life sentence, because the drama did show us the aftereffects of the hasty decision to get married so quickly, and the lack of trust in the relationship. I think I was just more mad they didn't really seem to understand or care about how selfish they were being, or the pain they caused.
I'm not mad I invested time into watching it, or disappointed, but I'm not left with that usual finished drama high either. It's just kind of there.
