Not great, but pretty good. I don't agree with the really bad ratings
TBH, my wife and I started this some months back and dropped it since it seamed very slow. And we were not sure about the acting. But we decided to give it another try and watched all the way through. Yes, it is a bit slow, but we still found it engaging and after a few episodes got into the story. There was a lot of voice overs that were quite philosophical and featured analogies with the weather, which I thought was very cool. The series tried quite hard to be thoughtful. Perhaps this is not come folks' cup of tea, but I liked it. The acting was good, I thought, from both the main and secondary couple, and the other characters as well.As others have noted, it is NOT a RomCom, but is more serious and has quite a few sad parts. But it ends well.
Summary: It is not an Epic series, it is not a RomCom, but it is pretty good and I think worth a watch.

Repetitive scenarios
The weather scenario is interesting but the chemistry between the leads is more like co-workers and less like lovers. Their relationship is mostly talking about weather,so it became a little boring. In first episodes they will have tensions, then solves in second episode, rinse and repeat. The cheating exes are annoying but both getting cheated at the same time is a coincidental plotline. Parkminyoung needs to step out of comfort zone and try out different roles. Songkang is repeating his same boring acting from previous dramas. Mediocre acting and script, nothing new.Was this review helpful to you?
A beautiful story about relationships!
I absolutely loved this drama!! I binged the hell out of it! I don't know why people have been so harsh. It reminded me a lot of Search:WWW which also received harsh reviews. I think some people find the introspective nature of the show to be slow paced. I completely disagree, I was enthralled by the entire show the whole time! People are complicated and emotions are complicated. And people have a very hard time sorting through those emotions which can make relationships with each other difficult and the show demonstrated that beautifully. The way the drew similarities between weather phenomena and the characters was so well done and poignant. I thought this story and all of the characters were just so incredibly well written. The characters were well-rounded, complete human beings, each with their own failings and fears and wishes. It was a really beautiful story, I just loved it so much! Was this review helpful to you?
Heartfelt progress throughout every episode
I guess many have underestimated this drama as just a shallow romantic drama, but somehow it has the ability to tap into modern relationship problems deeply, especially during the latter half of the drama where there are serious talks about the effects and consequences of engaging in a relationship. Consideration ranges from workplace, marriage, children, parents, and family, the story involved multilayered factors from several viewpoints. Well of course some may choose to refrain from going into this path, but for those who're already in it or soon, this drama has surprisingly given most of its insights with strong reference to reality. Actors were able to leave a great impression with excellent acting, plus the well built structure of the storyline including its meteorology material, it's been a long time since there's a rom-com that could achieve such heartfelt progress throughout every episode. Was this review helpful to you?
It started off so good and was really interesting at first, and then at least for me it started to feel like every episode was the same thing happening over and over just in different places. It's an ok show but definitely not the greatest show I've ever seen. I can't sit through the whole hour anymore just to see what happens, it just feels so repetitive. I love Song Kang and the stuff he has been in (Nevertheless) and same goes for Min young (Busted), but her character in this show just annoys me so much to the point where I actually wanted to know what happens more with Han Ki Joon and Chae Yoo Jin more than Ha Kyung and Shi Woo.
I also hated the characters because Shi Woo and Ha Kyung were very hypocritical and so annoying, and fought about the smallest things. They literally broke up so many times just to get back together and then argue over something and break up again.
They were so toxic in my opinion and It was just so hard to watch, especially due to Shi Woo getting upset over the fact that Ha Kyung would talk to her ex fiancé but would go talk to his ex girlfriend to tell her not to be so upset over her husbands past like what? Also Ha Kyung gets upset over Shi Woo living with his ex girlfriend when they were together isn't something to get so upset over since it was in the past.
I was very excited for this show but I feel disappointed that I'm struggling to even finish the last two episodes, and I'm so disappointed with the characters and how they act.

A show that could have had great potential but went downhill after the first few episodes
When this drama first released I loved the cast and the first few episodes were great too. It was nice seeing a drama where the main couple got together pretty early on but that just ended up making the show a lot less exciting to watch. This show used to be something I waited ever weekend for and eventually I started watching the episodes only when I had nothing else to watch. It's ironic that I even made it to episode 15 but I can't be bothered to continue it anymore, I kept telling myself that it could get better but it really did not.Amongst that many things I didn't like about the show here are the main ones:
1. When the exes go to each other for advice??? Makes no sense and it felt ridiculous to watch the FL give and get advice from the man who cheated on her. Same with the ML.
2. FL's ex is so strange, he behaves like a toddler--has terrible communication skills and a huge inferiority complex.
2. The whole weather station concept could've been a great way to show a job that hasn't been shown much in kdramas but God they made it so boring.
3. I'm a huge fan of OSTs but this one did not stand out at all...you could play a song from there and I probably wouldn't recognise it.
4. The couples did not have much chemistry at all for the most part. Ironic how flashbacks of the FL with her ex had more chemistry than her with her current boyfriend.
5. It feels like this drama could've been made into 12 episodes instead of 16 and nothing would be taken away from the plot.
I know this is a pretty harsh review and I'm genuinely not one to dislike a drama that much but save your time, this isn't worth the watch. I am a fan of Song Kang and Park Minyoung but this drama was far from their best work.

First off, if you go into this expecting a Rom-Com or heavy romance, this show won't be for you. It's much more of a workplace/life drama with some focus on falling in love and romance.
There is a cheating plotline but not between the main couple - Hakyung and Siwoo. Their exes cheat on them with one another and end up married. Which is just one level of the drama within this series.
The show shows us the challenges of falling in love after having been so hurt, and on figuring out a relationship between two people who are pretty different in terms of ideals and the way they view life. We get to see them falling in love over the course of a year. The road is rocky and some of their arguments are almost infuriating because they're so silly and from not communicating well - but that's what makes it real.
It's not super fast paced and is much more of a slice-of-life type show. There's humor thrown in, as well as depicting various ways that women get treated differently (negatively) in the workplace. However the strong women characters show their worth and we get to see some of the men being put in their place which is a nice change in pace. I enjoyed it and will definitely be watching it again.

Boring, boring, boring…
I love romance dramas and I love office dramas. So when I heard about a drama that not only starred Song Kang and Park Min Young but something different from your typical workplace setting i was all in.I do think there are a lot of good things to say about the show. The focus on weather forecasting is definitely pretty different from anything I’m typically used to and honestly some of my favorite moments were from this series because of some really aesthetic scenes here and there.
But my main problem with Forecasting Love and Weather was that it felt a bit soulless. I might be in a real minority here but I honestly couldn’t feel anything with the characters. We’ve seen the concept of jealous exes before alongside misunderstandings but it was hard for me to really say that there were many moments where I could at least feel pity for the leads or be engaged.
I think that maybe some people will love this series but this definitely wasn’t worth it for me.

This drama is not entirely bad but it's not good either
First of all the weather thread is pretty interesting but the story of the main leads is so boring it just ruins the drama a bit. I think it would be a good office drama with the background stories of the rest of the cast. I find their stories much more interesting, especially the story of ki jun and yu jin. We got some cute scenes between si woo and ha kyung in the first 2 episodes but later their scenes felt awkward not to mention their constant fights or disagreements and misunderstandings. Also the thread of si woo's father makes it even worse . I'm not sure but I think that Song Kang and Park Min Young just don't fit together, maybe it's the age difference idk. I love them as actors I've seen many of their dramas but it just seems to me that they are not a good fit for one drama. Other than that I find the drama to be pretty good. Was this review helpful to you?
Come on folks!
What is up with all you haters?! Being a "mature woman of years" <--- HAHAHAHA I am really enjoying and appreciating this series. I find the interplay between the steps taken at the national weather service station (when attempting to predict weather) as a very fitting backdrop alongside how we, as humans, attempt to predict our love lives. For most of us there always seems to be the mindset that past behavior can often predict future outcomes. And yes, in some ways, that is the case but in many other ways .. it causes such havoc! I can relate to the character Jin Ha Kyung. Cautious due to the past but unable to deny what her heart feels. Lee Shi Woo also struggles going against his character of being bold with what his heart feels. I love his youthful passion wrapped in sensitivity. He simply loves and has no issues expressing such to Jin Ha Kyung. I love that Han Ki Joon and Chae Yoo Jin ideals of married life are truly not the reality of such. Is is just me that finds it halarious that these amazing Korean dramas have given us viewers such an unrealistic view of true love .. we all have drunk that punch and continue to do so! I truly enjoy all the characters of this series as well as the actors who portray them. If you are looking for over the top dramatics (which I also enjoy) nope not goint to find it here. But if you are looking at how life can be, the reality of what love can look ... at times amazing and somtimes a true comedy of errors ..this show is it. For me, it's a solid time of enjoyment. Then again, I’m a sucker for love ‘winning’!! Everyone else … jeez lighten up!Was this review helpful to you?
Potential Romance Ruined by Bad Writing
LIKES:Weather scenes, landscape shots and weather office setting.
Banter between the forecasters when deciding what to announce to the various agencies/departments.
First 4 episodes.
FL (Park Min Young) & ML (Song Kang) characters were for the most part competent and engaged in their jobs.
The concept of older woman and younger guy having a relationship.
ML shirtless scenes… thank you
The science and facts given during the forecasting.
Good kissing by ML (Song Kang).
DISLIKES:
WRITING
The exes, especially making them seem more important due to screen time and character development. Like the writer supports cheating and lying.
The parents: FL’s mother (Bee su Ja) forcing her to marry again, way too soon after her divorce, which was annoying and unrealistically ridiculous. ML’s father (Myung Han) being over the top greedy.
Office gossipers were over the top.
A lot of eating food scenes.
Too much angsty drama and not enough romance.
Too many side stories of supporting characters, with boring moments.
PRODUCTION & DIRECTOR
Directing sucked: too many times we are watching FL & ML stare at each other for way too long, it got old fast.
Shaky camera syndrome
Too much screen time for the 2ML & 2FL (the exes).
Too much screen time for product placements (eating, drinking [like watching an iced coffee be made], etc.).
Too many flash backs that ran way too long, as if viewers are stupid and can’t remember what they just watched.
ACTING
Little chemistry between FL & ML, even though they did their job well enough.
FL loves to stare at ML, co-workers, into the air. That’s either her acting or a director fail.
OVERALL:
OST not noticeable, so neither good nor bad.
No FX to speak of
Recommend only for fans of ML Song Kang.
