I love the cast and the chemistry between them . Main couple so good and fits each other so well . Story is quit good and cute but I also love the 2 other couples. The cinematography is nice and you will have fun watching this series. I promise this will not get you bored 😅. Music is so good and done by nunew woww he is so talented. Waiting for it too end so I can watch it once again in one go . This series will definitely make you smileAnd talking about the story line so I will be honest , this not a so damn hot spicy story it's just a cute simple story. That you can watch to lift up your mood .
I am fan of Zee from why r u and he never disappoint his fans from his acting.

Sex with a side of emotional abuse, anyone???
LONG REVIEW AHEAD BC I'M A HATER!!! :)Also, a lot of smiley faces bc I'm passive aggressive. :)
----------
Thailand is known for its large production of BL's. However, because of these yearly influxes, the quantity has risen while the quality has fallen into a large, steaming pile of dung. Cutie Pie is no exception. :)
I went into this drama expecting to witness forced proximity turning into mutual love. I enjoy that trope, as it allows characters to build on perceptions, release negative stereotypes, and form a mutual and consensual relationship that suits them. This was, after all, an arranged marriage, where one character hoped to win the other over in the end. But did I get what I was expecting? No. Not at all. Actually, I got everything I didn't want and more. :) Can you tell how happy I am about that???? :)
ANYWAY.
If you haven't seen it, let me lay out some details. Our main characters are as follows: Kuea Keerati (NuNew), Lian Kilen Wang (Zee), Khondiao (Nat), Yi (Max), Syn (Yim), and Nuea (Tutor). Kuea is engaged to Lian, and their relationship is quite rocky as they are both harboring secrets that could change the course of their engagement. Khondiao is NOT in a relationship with Yi, but Yi is very protective of Khondiao. Finally, Syn and Nuea are side characters who form a relationship of their own throughout the series. Unfortunately, that's as simple as it gets. The rest of this show is filled with a plethora of crying scenes, miscommunication out the wazoo, some bar/club action, college activities, and a whole lot of pain and suffering (partially from me).
SPOILERS FOR THE REST OF THIS REVIEW!!!
Now, if you have seen it, please sit back and enjoy my rant as I dive into my ratings.
Story? 4/10.
I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. :)
I am notorious for not watching trailers, as I enjoy blank slates when going into shows/movies. So you can imagine little old me going into Cutie Pie with my aforementioned expectations.. and being extremely disappointed. Now, imagine that disappointment with my other notorious action of always giving things second chances (and thirds and fourths). Como se dice 'more disappointed'?
Let's begin with Keau and Lian's storyline. We've got a kid full of life and adventure who is engaged to a pretentious man he pretends to be perfect for. This perfection means that everything Keau loves has to be kept secret. But wait! Lian already knows? Yes. Their entire storyline ebbs and flows off of the secrets Keau keeps that Lian is already aware of. So we have Keau, who is hiding his true self--which in his mind is keeping his engagement afloat--and on the other end, Lian is watching him suffer to keep these secrets, even though he's already accepted Keau and his lifestyle. Not only that, but Lian is in love with Kuea just as Kuea is in love with Lian. But does Lian share this information? No. He just lets Keau stay heartbroken at the thought that his fiancé will never feel the same way as him. And the only reason I can come up with as to why this information isn't shared sooner, is because Lian's a grown man who doesn't know how to use his words. :) Not until the 7th episode, anyway. But even after that, their relationship is even more rocky. Go figure, right?
Nonetheless, the production team makes up for this terrible plot with a bunch of sex scenes. Just kidding! There are sex scenes, but I didn't forget what Keau had to go through in order to get steamy in the sheets. Toxicity was all I could see, so I still can't believe their relationship ended the way it did. Which, by the way, super cheesy ending. I hated it. Like everything else about their relationship. :) 2/10
Now, let's drag Khondiao and Yi's storyline through the mud! I have never been more annoyed at a couple than I was while watching Khondiao and Yi interact. You're gonna sit here and tell me that I waited an entire season (what was it? eleven episodes?) to find out that Yi was so protective of Khondiao, because he hadn't been able to save Khondiao from an animal attack that somehow took away his memory? You're telling me that Yi put Khondiao through so much emotional abuse because he felt guilty about what had happened in the past? Make it make sense. Please. Because Khondiao went through so much turmoil to not only be treated like shit and given the ugliest dog as a present, but we find out that he remembers what happened and he's been fine with it this entire time?? 1/10
Let me move on before I get heated again. :)
Syn and Nuea. Their progression was actually somewhat of a surprise, but not in the way you might think. Yes, it was a breath of fresh air to see a somewhat healthy interaction between two college boys who obviously find each other attractive. I enjoyed the flirtation, the looks, the slow-burn... BUT... their intimacy towards the end felt so random and undeserved. Does that make sense? Like, it would have been perfectly fine had they never shared a kiss. Their storyline just didn't evolve enough for it. Plus, the kiss just didn't suit their characters. While Nuea was flirtatious, Syn was reserved. If I was the director, I would've had them share a kiss with no one watching. 7/10
Acting/Cast? 7/10
Eh.
Since this was NuNew's first drama, I'll give him a break. His acting wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. I hate being able to tell when actor's are doing their jobs, and there were several times where NuNew's acting did just that. Zee was great. Love ya, bud. Max was alright. Yim and Tutor were okay. Nat, however, I'm just not a fan of. No hate, but the kid needs some work. The only scene that I found he acted well, was when him and Max were at the skate park, and he's angry that Max won't tell him the secret he's been hiding.
I don't remember anyone else.
Music? 8/10
Not bad, if I'm being honest. The title track? Ass. Everything else? Good. I loved NuNew's voice, and I hope to hear him singing OST's for other shows!
Rewatch Value? 1/10
If I ever find myself perusing the internet for something to watch, I would only choose this series to replay Syn&Nuea's scenes (specific ones only).
Overall? 4/10
Filled to the brim with problematic themes, characters, and scenarios, Cutie Pie the Series was a dumpster fire of toxic relationships acknowledging no such toxicity. Watch at your own risk. :)

Trash, never thought i would hate a bl but here we are
A complete trash,i can't say how much i hate this one.Like seriously i have seen worse m,like bad actings, plots, productions but as much as i disliked those i never atleast hated them but this one is an exceptional,i just hate it.It was cringe and a messy thing.I didn't even start naughty babe, the clips were enough to make me angry. But i did watched this and what a waste of time and effort,i always wish to forget or reset my brain so i could watch my loved bls again but i wish this just get deleated from my brain.I feel disgusted with myself that i even watched this.I don't hate the actors, and i din't have any limit or boundary when it comes to bl but somehow i hated everything about this one.Just why is it so famous whereas bls like not me,i feel you linger in the air,the sign, miracle of teddy bear,be my favorite, moonlight chicken(i am only talking about thai ones, let's not add the long list of other countries fav bls) don't even have the popularity it rightfully deserve. Was this review helpful to you?

Not perfect, but an interesting BL
Like a lot of other reviews mentioned, I think this series had a lot of potential and while it didn't go above and beyond I wouldn't say that this serious is a waste of time. It has a lot of elements, plots, and character developments that are enjoyable if you're willing to overlook some of the disappointing stuff.Story/Production
Right off the bat, an arranged marriage plot for a BL is already an attention grabber. I think the story started off strong but started to fall through a little when they put two separate angst plot points within the last 3 episodes of the series. Because they were put in so close to the end of the show I think they rushed to give a good ending that they kind of bypassed all the much needed relationship development that a couple in real life would need in order to resolve the problems that Kuea and Lian were facing. Basically what I'm trying to say is while the ending plots are pretty good tear jerkers for overly invested fans (aka me), if you're just casually watching the series, then maybe consider just skipping episodes 9-12 altogether.
That aside, because of all the messy drama near the end I don't think people are giving this series enough credit. The production value of this series was amazing, there were so many beautifully shot scenes. The dynamic of their characters made for an interesting story, one that I don't think I've ever seen in a BL before. There were certain messages that I didn't expect them to address, but I'm glad they did as I feel like it'll really set a standard for future BLs. The main ships' relationship isn't perfect but it does undergo a noticeable change from the first episode compared to the last. Could it have been better executed? Absolutely, but it's definitely not a bad watch.
Acting/Cast & Romance
Can I just say I love Nunew? Like, he really made this series. For a newbie in the industry he did an amazing job with this BL, especially with the NC scenes and angsty scenes in the last few episodes. And his cuteness!!! Ack!!!!! Like, if you are really looking for a reason to watch this series, watch it simply because Nunew is in it, I can promise you that you'll fall in love with him/the series immediately :))
Zee was amazing as always, if not better than his work on Why R U.
And these two are seriously a match made in heaven, like thank you to this company for putting them together, I don't think I could see either of them in any other pairing ever again >< Everybody talks about chemistry when it comes to BL pairs, but if you wanna talk chemistry with ZeeNunew, just know that they practically invented it. Their lovey dovey scenes make the series 100% more enjoyable to watch.
ALSO TUTORYIM DEBUT!!!! I was a little on the fence with this side couple at first but TutorYim totally proved me wrong with just how good of a pair they can be/are. Their story in this series, although brief, was super adorable and satisfying. Syn was such a cute character too!!! I'm looking forward to when they get their own series because honestly they deserve it the most.
MaxNat were amazing, but I can't really say much since I didn't particularly enjoy their side story in this series just for so many reasons but mostly because their entire relationship seemed toxic to me. I think Nat is a great actor, but I don't think he did very well as the innocent and submissive character in this series. I did, however, thoroughly enjoy the part when his character was angry with Yi, his acting skills when he was giving attitude were SUPER on point and I loved every second of it.
Music
I'm absolutely in love with Nunew's singing voice so I automatically loved any song he sang for the OST, especially his cover of Just Being Friendly. But really all the songs that were used for this series, whether the actors sang them or not, were great.
Rewatch Value
This is just a purely biased opinion but I'd give it a high rewatch value because all of my favorite actors are in this series so you'd definitely catch me rewatching it no matter what.
TL;DR
It's a good show with some flaws but it's definitely worth the watch from start to end if you're looking for a different kind of trope (arranged marriage), heavy romance, and heavy drama.

Why did I do this to myself?
WARNING: very savage review. If you loved this show proceed with caution. It’s also almost 2000 words, you’re welcome.Story: 3/10
There isn’t much plot outside of the three romantic relationships, so for this section I’ll just talk about them each individually.
Hia Lian/Kuea:
One of the worst written romances I have ever had the misfortune to lay my eyes upon 😊 Nothing makes sense, and everything sucks.
Okay let me elaborate on that. This engagement is ONLY red flags. There are no flags of any other color. The central conflict and basically the plot for the entire show is introduced in the first episode, where Nu’Kuea meets his fiancé Hia Lian, whom he has been engaged to since he was little and claims to be in love with, even though he had been studying abroad the last couple of years and seemingly hasn’t been in contact with him. Sure, I guess. Kuea goes on dates with Lian, who treats him very dismissively and uncaringly, as if he was only doing it out of obligation and didn’t have any interest in Kuea as a person. Their conversation is dryer than the Sahara Desert and they don’t bond at all. When Kuea goes over to Lian’s apartment he tells him he loves him and confronts him about why he doesn’t say it back to him. To that Hia Lian replies with a coldblooded rejection, telling him he doesn’t love him and is only marrying him out of obligation. That’s very harsh, but it’s certainly better to be honest about that, rather than pretending to love him when you don’t right? Well, wrong. Hia Lian DOES love Kuea. Wait- what? You heard that right. Hia Lian spends the next bunch of episodes trying to win Kuea, who is rightfully hurt and fed up with Lian’s antics, over, forcing him to stay with him in his house among other things, even though he literally already had Kuea before and needlessly pushed away for absolutely no reason.
His explanation for his actions? Not an ounce of logic to be found. There really was no reason to be so cruel to Kuea and Hia has nothing to say except that he’s sorry, no explanation. Inconsistent writing at its finest, the writers wanted the dramatic moment of Hia’s cruelty in the first episode, but they also wanted the ‘I always loved you’ narrative for Hia. Sorry but it doesn’t work like that. They should’ve committed to the idea that Hia isn’t in love with Kuea. They hadn’t seen each other in a long time because Kuea was studying abroad, so they don’t really know each other that well anymore. They could’ve shown us Hia falling in love with Kuea as he gets to know him and come to regret his past actions. But the way they did it here, there’s no development, he loved him then and he loves him now. The only thing that’s changed is his behavior, which didn‘t make sense in the first place. The steamy scenes would be so much nicer if the emotional connection between the two was properly conveyed. They really thought putting two good looking people on screen and having them kiss for an uncomfortably long amount time would be enough, but it got boring REAL fast, to the point I started skipping those scenes. Not only were these scenes WAY too long and way too often, in all their other scenes these two characters never gave me impression of having true feelings for each other. Other than the first one, the kisses felt devoid of any emotion. At some point it just started to feel like meat, and it was very off-putting.
Another big storyline for the two is that Kuea is hiding his true personality from Lian. Kuea has got to be the densest person in the world if he truly believes he’s hiding ANYTHING from Lian. In the SECOND episode Kuea announces to the world he is Kirin (but in the last episode he is shocked to find out Hia knows about it? Make it make sense!), not to mention the constant mess-ups of him revealing things, again in the second episode while drunk or wearing his engineering uniform in front of Lian when he supposedly studies something else.
Basically: Kuea was hiding a bunch of stuff from Lian, pretending to be some nice little boy, but Hia Lian found out almost immediately. Hia Lian knows. The audience knows that Hia Lian knows. But Kuea? Has no idea! This conflict is dragged out until the very last episode, and it was the most annoying thing I ever had to witness.
When I saw the trailer, I thought I’d be like this: Lian and Kuea are engaged but don’t know each other very well. Kuea thinks he’s in love with Lian based on an image he has of him in his mind. Lian is not in love with Kuea. Kuea tries to appeal to the version of Lian he imagines by portraying himself as a well-behaved pleasant kid. Lian is not impressed, tells Kuea he doesn’t love him, because he can tell Kuea is being fake and doesn’t want to ‘date a doll’ but a real person with a personality. Kuea is disillusioned with Lian after his coldhearted rejection and stops trying to appeal to him in retaliation. Kuea thinks he’s getting back at Lian by making things hard on him (such as acting out on dates) and being more feisty, however exactly that is what ends up attracting Lian to him. Lian develops true feelings for Kuea and puts genuine effort into getting to know Kuea and courting him. They fall in love, the end.
INSTEAD we got Kuea hiding his real personality from Hia and Hia finding out in ep. 2 when Kuea spills the beans while being drunk. Kuea doesn’t remember anything the next day and continues to lie to Lian for the entirety of the show, only to dramatically reject Hia’s proposal in ep. 11 because ‘you don’t know the real me’, when Lian and the audience all know that he DOES know. What a dumb plot, seriously. I’m not even gonna talk about the part where all of Kuea’s family’s property is transferred to Hia Lians name because all that was just needless drama based on miscommunication that was resolved within like two episodes.
Their relationship is based on lies and hot air, nothing more. How did being childhood friends turn into lovers? No idea. Who cares, let’s have another sex scene.
Hia Yi/Diao:
A lot more bearable to watch than Kuea/Lian, but I have to say the same thing I did for them: These two people should not be dating. Diao spent a majority of the show being legitimately terrified of Yi and the ‘resolution’ to their story was just ‘have sex’, not even a proper conversation. And even after they made up and got together, Yi was incredibly controlling of Diao (an 8 o’clock curfew for an adult man who do you think you are, his dad?). Their main conflict was based around the fact that Hia Yi somehow ‘caused’ Diao to lose his memory and feels guilty about it. We don’t know how other than ‘it was an accident’ (something which is only off-handedly mentioned in the last episode), but we don’t get to see the accident nor any kind of repercussions of it. We don’t even ever SEE him being having holes in his memory, the only reason he always looks confused is because Hia Yi is sending mixed signals. And the resolution of this conflict is Diao telling Yi he regained him memory (off-screen no idea when or how that happened, but who cares right?) and then that’s about it. Communication was just as garbage as Kuea/Lian, development non-existent, red flags everywhere, this relationship is doomed to fail.
Nuer/Syn:
The third couple was truly the only redeeming part of this show and they got the least amount of screentime. Because of this their story line had to be very simple. Two college boys meet in a class and bond while working together on a project. A tried-and-true formula that should be boring by now but was incredibly fun to watch, especially compared to the overly dramatic but ultimately dull story of the other two. In both the other couples there was a clear power imbalance in the relationships, with both the older guys having control over their younger partner, who would always submit to them. Seeing Nuer and Syn being equals and having a very sweet romance only made the other couples seem more awful and toxic. Syn’s characterization as a man of religion was clearly established and referenced throughout and wasn’t abandoned halfway through the show as I feared. Not overcomplicating his character is what made him so great. His motives were very clear and his actions in line with his character. Nuer’s character was a bit more sketchy as he was seemingly interested in Kuea at first and then somehow flip-flopped to being interested in Syn. I never quite understood this change in behavior, and whether he was ever really interested in Kuea or not, so that’s a negative. However, these two have wonderful communication skills, and actually talk about their issues! The others should take some notes! When Nuer notices Syn feeling upset at him showing concern for Kuea, he clearly communicates to Syn that he will keep his promise to him. It’s truly a shame these two didn’t get more screentime, especially because there was so much boring filler for Kuea and Lian that we could’ve easily cut out. On the other hand though I feel like the producers would’ve found some way to ruin their story by introducing dumb conflicts if they had more screentime so maybe it’s for the best. Maybe their romance is best suited to being a side-story. Too bad it had to be in a show where the main couples are unbearable to watch.
Acting: 4/10
I know that Zee (Hia Lian) is a good actor but in this they really didn’t give him much to do. His character had two facial expressions: default serious face and annoying condescending smirk. At least that’s better than Max (Hia Yi), who always looked angry for no reasons and Nat (Diao) who always looked kinda scared, although I think that less a problem with the acting and more with the characterization of the two so I’ll let it slide. For New this was his first role and I’ll give him credit for that, but his performance felt very goofy to me. Every time he put on that fake ass smile, I just wanted to smack it off his face. His crying scenes were all very dramatic and just way too much to the point it made me laugh. I’d say my favorite performance was Yim as Syn. His expressions were very lively and cute, and suited the character very well.
Things I liked:
• Nuer/Syn best boys
• Zee being hot
• Reading comments ranting about the show after every episode. Y’all are genuinely so funny.
Music: 5/10
Not much to say tbh it was fine I guess. I did skip all the scenes that had Kirin singing though bc BORING, let’s get back to the story I’m not interested in your plug for his music career or whatever
Rewatch Value: 0/10
please don’t make me watch this again I barely got through it the first time haven’t I suffered enough? I would watch a cut of only Nuer/Syn scenes though, that’d be fun.

Not as good as some people say, but not that bad either
One of the first comments under the last episode of Cutie Pie on YT is something along the lines - "this show sets the new standard for BLs". Is it true? Fuck no. A very questionable plot and a story that gets progressively more boring with each episode are two of many reasons why it's not. The complete lack of communication between characters, and then magical reconciling in like a, 5 minute-long scene is one of the said, other reasons. On the other hand, one of the comments here asks - "was the script written by a child?" Was it? I don't think it was(at least not fully). There are some scenes and dialogues that make you go - who tf wrote that? but it isn't that bad. You can really see how the show tries to address many social issues, like, for example marriage equality. It is, however, very vague in that regard, by for example, having a one minute conversation between characters, full of well-known slogans and a pretty sophisticated dialogue with the simplest of messages. But enough with the "bad", let us now talk about the good:1. NuerSyn - I don't think I need to explain, but for those who haven't watched - it is worth watching the series for something like 1 hour of screentime these two precious boys have.
2. Great acting and the undeniable chemistry of each of the couples which is visible in the way each of the couples look at one another, their each makeout session, and their overall acting skills.
3. Nunew's voice. Each of the songs in this series is really, really good, primarily due to Nunew's angelic voice.
4. THE scenes. Very sensual and beautiful kiss/makeout scenes scattered around the whole show and the amount of kisses/pecks in general.
5. Foei - this guy is hilarious. No matter how boring a scene was, he could make it great all by himself.
6. Nong - I don't really like Chihuahuas, but this one was cute as hell.
You can probably see now, that most of the "goods" are not that significant, whereas the "bads" are. However, I rate BLs mostly by the amount of enjoyment it brought me, and this one delivered quite well so despite all the bigger and smaller flaws, a 7.5 score seemed to me the most accurate.

SOO DAMMNNN GOOODDDD!!!!!!
OVERALL: Ok...so first of all after seeing all the numerous fan edits or fmvs on youtube based on the trailer i was really really excited to watch this....so talking about the first episode...it was honestly lit....they first episode was more than what i expected and the preview for the next episode was also really good.MUSIC : so talking about the music this is another factor which i really loved about the series...the ost is really very beautiful and i enjoyed it a lot.
PLOT : So as given in the summary it has a really interesting and unique plot...like two boys being involved in an arranged marraige is definetly a new plot in the whole bl scenario... I also liked how some of the lgbtq+ problems were discussed through the first episode itself.....and also kuea being jealous in his imagination and scolding Hia Lian was actually hilarious (not exactly scolding though just not getting the exact term to describe it)looking forward to more such scenes:)...ig my saturdays are gonna be even more interesting with these series :))) ....Also I'm really interested to know about the whole second couples scenario...cause even they seem really cute and are one of my fav couples from y-destiny as well :))))))
REWATCH VALUE : So right now I'm already enjoying the series a lot more than expected and i think I'll be rewatching the first epiode itself and then the whole series as well......will update soon :)
FROM MY SIDE UPTIL NOW THIS HAS BEEN PERFECT AND I WILL DEFINETLY RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERY AND ANY BL FAN OUT THERE....DO WATCH THIS.....ITS WORTH IT!!!!
Edit: so i watched 3 episodes in total till nowand the only thing i know is rewatch them again:))) bro how can this be so good...now the fact that hia lian started his club business only so that he can be capable of kuea got my heart...in the trailer it actually felt like maybe hia lian is just fulfilling the promise given to nuea's grandpa but knowing how much hia lian like kuea is just soooo goood....and its evn more intresting to know what will happen next since hia lian already knew about kuea being kiran.... I' ve not being so excited for a drama for long ...waiting for yhe next eps...:))))))
2nd edit: so i am writing this after watching ep 7 and i must say that this is actually shocking me with all the changes that is occuring in all the charachters....i mean omgggggg this is so much better than what i had expected....holy lord i can die in peace after watching this:)))))) i really liked the scenes of bounprem....aaahhhh im a bounprem stan and after so many days i've finally seen themm.....my eyes are releived:)) haha anyway the series has been real good uptil now.....and im eagerly waiting for the next eps.....will update soon again....well ik the review is freaking long thats only because im editing it after watching a few episodes and making it like a episode reveiw;))))

Zero agency
I was honestly pretty excited about this show when I started it, though the story set up was a bit weird. Gay arranged marriage is a bit out there even for BL shows...I didn't mind it that much but also again with the age difference? and all the "growing up like brothers and then get married"?Besides all that, I thought it was fun at first but I'm at episode 6 now, and ...jeesch...how can you write characters with zero agency? Both Kuea and Diao can't do anything in this show. I get that the top-bottom-dynamics are common in BLs, and get exaggerate, but jeeesch can you please not write characters that don't have any say in their own lives? And I don't mean like parents telling them stuff, or someone deciding job stuff for them! But actually forbidding them to leave the house, go anywhere, do anything on their own, be themselves, like what they like.
SPOILER
I was also really disappointed by the plot logic in episode 5 and 6 (*spoiler alert* there isn't any).
so the set up is: you like someone that doesn't like you back, and then when that person starts showing signs of liking you, you..don't want that ...although you still like them?? why?? pls someone explain!
The music is great though!!! 10/10

Loved this
Love this show. The only part of the story I didn’t like was the older hias being so controlling over where and when the younger ones were all the time. They seemed a little possessive. Other than that the cast had great chemistry. Nunew and Zee are just made for each other. I e watched the show twice now and loved it just as much the 2nd time aroundWas this review helpful to you?
This was SO bad.. and also toxic.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw A LOT OF good reviews here.. cause I’ve never seen the show as bad as this one. The acting was bad the story was terrible the characters were all stupid unreasonable and annoying. The love scenes weren’t good AT ALL too. The only thing that peaked was fragrant miscommunication. I HATED EVERY CHARACTER. The decisions they made had no sense. This show felt like a fever dream. like a nightmare. Please DO NOT watch it.. save your brain cells and clarity of mind.P.S It couldn’t allow me to rate the show with 0,5s but this doesn’t deserve 1s ðŸ˜
