Holy Smoke ....
So I watched Drama Ongoing and really at times, having to wait for the next episode after a week was really torturer.I loved this drama and was really looking forward to it, mainly because of Zee. And boy did he not disappoint, I am just going to put out here that man sure knows how to Kiss!!!
The story was for this BL was a little different in the sense that there were already engaged and fixed up to be married from a very young age, by the grandparents, however as time went and they grew up, things obviously changed, and this is where I found it really interesting, you had Kuea who showed a bit of split personality, admitting I did prefer him a little more on the grown up side, instead of the babyish doll side, for me that was the only thing that was a let down on this drama, but his character does develop a little after they move in, and he does not come across so babyish.
The second ML well it was really good to see them again after Y destiny and they way they have matured and grown, the only thing here that kind of let me down, was that we did not get see the real reason behind the loss of memory for diao? but they were well matched and really looked together.
The series addresses the importance of equal marriage and also addresses the prejudice and social judgment under two people with a large age difference in a relationship. Showing that society still does not know how to respect differences. Finally, for me it is a series with quality, full of love between the characters, and with very important messages for today's society.
The Chemistry of both these Leads were amazing on holy smoke the Kiss and Sex scenes DAM they left you Breathless!!!! However, I gotta say my favorite kiss of this show (and it was VERY kissy), was actually Syn and Nuea. Adorable. I wish we had gotten more of these two.
The Music was totally amazing, have got that added to my PList!!!
Overall : This BL Drama was really well executed and the guys were well matched and showed the love across to us... Definitely deserves a Re Watch !!!

An Entertaining BL Overall
I did enjoy Cutie Pie over other BLs that aired this season. It was definitely one of the quality series with a high budget, but story-wise it did have it’s flaws. I don’t mind miscommunication in a series for some added drama, but if the plot dwells on it too much throughout the series it gets frustrating to watch. For the pairings I have to say the big age gap (9 years) does show for ZeeNew. I can’t lie and say that Nunew doesn’t look too young for Zee because he does imo. But Zee in the end is amazing at being able to make whoever his ship is work out pretty well. MaxNat… As handsome as Max is and adorable Nat is I still don’t feel this ship so much. Nat’s acting is still so so to me. MaxNat also have a 9 year age gap like ZeeNew but somehow you feel a bit uncomfortable watching their intimate scenes because Nat is 19 and pretty baby-faced. Love them though! I absolutely fell for NuerSyn and hope TutorYim get a series of their own asap!
Negatives aside the OST was fantastic! The music was the best part that made the series the most fun to watch for me. Nunew has such a beautiful voice and is an amazing singer. I loved the parts when Kirin performs. Pretty much every sing OST for Cutie Pie was great. He also did a great job with his acting for his first BL drama. This was definitely a start for Nunew and definitely looking forward to seeing more from him.
I do have to say Domundi/Mandee does produce quality dramas compared to other productions. I look forward to Middleman’s Love and Bed Friend next!

A SERIES THAT SUCCESFUL TURNED OUT HOW IT SELLS ITSELF TO BE.
I started this series not expecting much from it, but I ended up being hooked since the first part of the first episode. Now, my only issue with this is finding a way to cope up with the void it will leave within two weeks. My Sunday mornings will never be the same again.Disclaimer: When I began watching this series, I didn't know Zee, Domundi and Aoftionz, so it's safe to say that I began watching this with brand new eyes and with no prejudice.
Cutie Pie is exactly what it advertised itself to be, so if you're looking for something much more complex, dramatic, or mind-boggling, and heavy, THIS ISN'T THE SERIES FOR YOU. But if you want something different from the usual conflict of the main couples being broken up by a third party or another force outside the relationship, then Cutie Pie is a breath of fresh air.
SPOILERS:
We often joke about the dreaded episode eleven curse (or the second to the last episode curse), where the main characters break up before the eventual happy ending. In Cutie Pie, the break up happens on the very first episode, when Kuea, upon hearing from Lian that the latter doesn't love him, asked to break off their engagement. Yes, we have heartbreak at the very beginning. But we were also introduced to the nature of their relationship prior to this. Basically, they were engaged. Kuea love his fiance so much but is afraid that Lian, someone he views as perfectionist, could never accept him for who he really is (he likes superbike, singing and playing drum, and he's studying automotive engineering). In order to please his fiance, Kuea created a facade of a prim and proper version of himself. In contrast, we have Lian, who doesn't seem to care about his fiance much, or even at all, and yet, in the second episode, he seemed upset that Kuea, for the first time, didn't answer and return his call.
The writers did a good job into making us feel more about Kuea in the first couple of episodes, and at the same time, showing just tiny bits and glimpses of Lian's background and personality to keep us intrigued about him. His conversations with his bestfriend Yi, that flashback conversation with his father kept me from thinking that he was just an asshole who had a change of heart and suddenly fell mutually in love with his fiance. Lian turned out to be far from how Kuea and and the audience initially saw him to be. Instead of the confident and perfectionist CEO, he is also a person who hides behind a facade because he was scared that Kuea, who came from old money, wouldn't be proud of him, a former ice delivery boy, as his fiance.
This is what I mean when I said that's it's a breathe of fresh air. This time, we don't have ex-relationships, parents, new girl or new boy, trying to break couples up. We just have our main leads who need to figure out that they didn't even need another version of themselves.
Some highlights that are worth mentioning.
THE FIRST KISS: I want to start by acknowledging this scene as what it is. It's DubCon because Kuea was drunk. The series tried it's best to change a lot of aspects in the novel that cross that bridge, but I guess, it wasn't really that easy to remove, or change this scene. While it did made me a bit uncomfortable, the events leading up to that scene made it bearable to me. Prior to that, we have a heartbroken Kuea who broke off the engagement, performed a song in a bar about how he was moving on to find someone who will love him for who he is. And yet, that very same Kuea drunkenly confessed that he doesn't really want to break off the engagement because he really loves Lian. And then there's Lian, finally realizing that he made a mistake by saying something that he didn't mean. The kiss, I believe, is his effort to comfort Kuea and apologize as well, although it was pointless, considering that Kuea wasn't even sure it was him because well, he was drunk. The most important thing we got from this scene is the confirmation of Kuea's real feelings.
MOVING IN TOGETHER: I see a lot of comments about how Lian was controlling Kuea's behavior and preventing him from enjoying his hobbies when he worked to get Kuea to move in with him, but honestly, that was the opposite of what he wanted to do. Lian doesn't want him stop being himself. Rather, he wanted Kuea to be himself in front of him as well. The thing I appreciate about this is that Lian could have easily confronted Kuea about those secrets, but instead, he acknowledged that he also wasn't showing his real self to Kuea. Instead of forcing Kuea, Lian decided to reveal himself, bit by bit, until Kuea feels comfortable enough to reveal who he really is as well. This is the point in the story when I grow to appreciate Lian more.
THE FIRST TIME: THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST BEAUTIFULLY SHOT LOVE SCENE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN A BL SERIES (And it is shares it's top spot with YiDiao from ep 10), but that isn't really the best part. First, I am happy with the change that the made from the novel where their first time together involves a really drunk Kuea. Consent was made clear, and Lian made sure to ask about it more than once. I also love that prior to the actual love scene, they were finally able to talk about previous conflict such as the drunken night kiss and the truth about the "I don't love you" conflict. I just love how, instead of excusing what happened, Lian admitted and acknowledged that that was a wrong move and actually showed remorse.
Now, this series may not be perfect. At ep 10, I admit that I am a bit disappointed that Kuea is still not over his "Hia doesn't love me" phase. This is something that I wish had already been over at episode 8.
Some other minor things worth mentioning:
YiDiao/The secondary ship: the bestfriend of the main lead is also engaged to the bestfriend of the other main lead. While this might seem repetitive, The YiDiao and LianKuea is both similar and different at the same time. Similar because it both follows the formula where the older guy in the relationship was presented as cold and uncaring at the beginning. I remember starting the show being put off by Yi's demanding nature of knowing Diao's whereabouts, but I'm glad that I am able to power through and not skip their scenes. Again, like Lian, his true character wasn't how he was presented in the beginning. Diao as well. He seems like the type to allow people to walk all over him but as the story progresses, I learned that he's actually one of the strongest character in this show. He's that person who's the least afraid to say what he wants and what's on his mind. I get that the resolution for their relationship isn't perfect, but a part of me is glad that it's not, as I am hoping for their own series. I hope it will happen.
The Kuea/Diao and Lian/Yi friendship: I just love how sweet the relationship is between Kuea and Diao, with them always ready to drop everything with one SOS message. Meanwhile, we have Lian/Yi, their banters on who's doing worse un their relationship, and their brutally frank way of telling the others that they're doing wrong.
The tackling of some issues: as early as the first episode, we got to hear one of the main characters talk about how outdated it is for media to still be using LGBTQ members only for comic relief. That wasn't the last of it the show also talked about issues such as marriage equality and establishing boundaries between friends. Maybe, my expectations weren't that high but I just didn't expect to see much about this in Cutie Pie. I'm impress.
Over all, this show is entertaining for me, and I can already see myself going back to this once it's done.
Edit: I finished watching. The ending exceeded my expectation. One of tje best and most satisfying ending I have seen.

Wtf did I watch
Ok idk where to start from the dumb story line or the fact that the actors can't act. I don't know how is this even possible because sex gender mariage is not yet allowed in Thailand. How did their grandparents even get the idea that their sons are gay? And Nunew thinks that just looking cute will work like where are the expressions? Overall i think this was super toxic. Just like those dramas where a green flag thinks that they can change a red flag but can't or i didn't see that he managed to do thatWas this review helpful to you?
Who is nat?
Is Nat's father rich? How did he become an actor with 0 acting and filmed a lot of dramas? Happy, unhappy, angry or horny? can't do anything! It's a big mistake to have this person on screen. Please, there is no rule that says everyone will be famous! leave and go........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Was this review helpful to you?
Just Lovely
This is easily one of my favorite BLs. The chemistry between the main couple is off the charts hot, but also really sweet and funny. Yes, the plot is just basic misunderstanding and miscommunication, but frankly, I don't need or want MAJOR DRAMATIC ANGST in every BL I watch. I also appreciate a love story that doesn't make it's characters deal with hateful homophobia. The world needs more shows with an overall message of respect and equality for loving couples regardless of gender, race, or background. Gorgeous visuals, well acted, and the OST is outstanding. Was this review helpful to you?
A wholesome series
As an avid bl series watcher, I've rarely come across any series that could fill your heart up with satisfaction like this series. The story line might seem simple, yet the fact that it could include so many important matters regarding LGBTQ+ issues, day to day issues, relationship issues etc and being an advocate for all these issues made the series a totally wholesome one. And not to forget, one of the main character actor being a newbie in the industry, he should be applauded as he could excellently portray his character, plus, his voice, gosh it's heavenly. The OSTs made the series so much better. Loved the production quality of the series as well as the talented actors. This series was overall a wholesome, cute and beautiful one. Loved it.Was this review helpful to you?

Story of a different level of life and relationship
This is a different level of relationship and life of an LGBTQ+It begins with just simple youthful love story, funny and entertaining but this drama really portrays a right of every couple should have, if we will truly look at it, it has a deep meaning and story and I must say they kind of did a great job in showing it.
Of course there is no perfect drama, there will always be "they should've done this" they should've show that" so on and so forth, and in this case I gues they could've pushed on the meaning of the story more than just putting the time on the filler scene, which I think every viewer should understand, well, who knows , maybe they just want it to be indirect, if they do, they did a great job !
I just love the improvements of BL drama production, I have been a BL fan since the Sotus Era, Tharn Type Era and TayNew Era, I must say they have improved a lot in this !, the editing, the scene, the places, we can really see their effort in making us happy as a fan.
About the love story, I have seen a lot of BL Story that starts since childhood and having a secret love, even though it is a cliché, I still liked how they portaryed their characters, I am just confused about the story of Hia Yi and Kun- Diao, how do Kun-Diao got a lost of memory? Why do he ended uo living witg Hia Yi? Why does their parents allowed it? Those were just a little blankspace in the story that they should've give atleast a few minutes to ellaborate, but still I liked the progress of their story.
About the music, I must say the theme songs is one of the best theme songs I've heard, and those songs that Nukeua and Hia have been singing, I loved it ! I could listen to it for the whole week until I finally moved on.
P'Zee improved a lot ! since I've watched Him on Why R U, I've been stanning Him already, He is just so hot and he shows no reservation on kisses! He shows no reservation on every scene, specially when he got rejected by Keua on His fathers 60th birthday where he finally proposed to Him, He is the one I've rooting from the time I saw the trailer of this series ! He truly is one of the best BL actors I've ever seen ! He never failed us
Also to Nunew, he did a great job on being cute ! And he really gives his all in acting just what he receives from P'Zee, every scene they have together, I just liked it
MaxNut couple ? One of my favorite couple ! Before on Why R U and Y destiny, they are less reserved now ! They are just so cute, I really wish they could have their own series.
This Series is very good, I must say, one of the remarkable for me, this has became my happy pill everytime I got home from work, it is just simple but you're gonna feel it. We can learn that marriage is not just that you liked each other, it is a commitment, it is that you should not just like the good sides but also the bad sides, that you are already one so there should be no secrets, that you should accept each other for who you are and above all, it is that every couple whether gay or lesbian or straight should have an equal rights no matter what the society says
Totally memorable and definitely not a waste of time, worth to wait and satisfying ending.

Go watch bad buddy instead or something
i never write reviews but this show was horrid enough to warrant it. im gonna split this review into a few parts, starting with the plot.this plot is completely nonsensical, especially if u couldn’t be bothered to pay attention (like me). literally nothing in this universe makes sense at all. im not gonna go into every plot hole bc that would take all day, but the most offensive one to me is why would they even have an arranged marriage in the first place if same sex marriage is illegal? and why wasn’t this HUGE issue mentioned until the last two episodes? adding this in at the last minute honestly just feels like a gross attempt at being woke that fell flat on its face. and tbh a gay arranged marriage doesn’t really make much sense in the first place considering the fact that arranged marriages are mainly to produce heirs lol. watching this drama has convinced me that the screenwriters were simply writing as they went along with absolutely no plan whatsoever.
onto the characters. every single character was flat and bland and BORING (except for kuea’s college friends, they were carrying the show tbh). no one really grew at all, except for kuea i guess??? but his growth, no longer hiding his true nature from hia, was honestly bs. there was literally no reason for him to start faking his personality in front of hia in the first place since they grew up together lmao??? and it turned out that hia already knew the true him the whole time, so that whole ‘character arc’ just ended up being a complete waste of time. most of the characters, specifically the hia brothers, were able to get away with doing consistently awful things without ever facing any sort of consequences. truly frustrating to watch, and no amount of kissing scenes will make up for it lol. speaking of hia lian, i dont know why there is a recent trend of drama writers making the male lead as unbearable as physically possible, but hia lian seems to be one of the worst victims. he is manipulative, patronizing, untrustworthy, and honestly pretty predatory if u wanna go there (dating/marrying a 20 year old college student as a full grown adult is STRANGE idc). he does whatever he wants without caring how it affects others, including the man he claims to be madly in love with. and with that being said, lets move on to the last topic, the relationships.
i honestly have nothing to say about khondiao and hia yi and apparently neither did the script writers so im just gonna leave it at they had a strange dynamic and every time they were on screen together i was uncomfortable (giving ur bf a 9pm curfew??? really???). as for the main couple, i just dont buy it. i dont. their relationship developed so unnaturally by the end of the series i was surprised that hia WASNT secretly scheming something because i honestly could not believe they actually liked each other. like u really expect me to believe that hia randomly decided to be a complete asshole to the person he likes simply because he didn’t think he was worthy of dating him??? does that make any sense to u??? and kuea, who dealt with years of hia’s bs decides not to call off the engagement because hia started behaving for like what, a month? maybe that was enough for him but it definitely was not enough for me to support them as a couple. SORRY!
in conclusion, this drama is the physical embodiment of a headache don’t watch. i am so sorry perth had to be involved in this mess ily king ❤️

Where do I start?
The casting was phenomenal; I think all the cast members did a fantastic job in terms of acting skills. What was a miss for me was the storyline. I believe the plot of this show was to highlight two aspects; 1 was always be yourself, and the right person will love you regardless, and the 2nd was highlighted more towards the end of the show, which was the ability to have same-sex marriage in Thailand. The concept was great but poorly executed. The 2nd goal of the show was only discussed towards the end and didn't have a built-up to it to understand the plot's purpose better. The 1st goal of being yourself didn't need 9+ episodes to get to; a simple open-ended conversation with the main lead could've tackled this hurdle. With that being said, what was a definite miss for me was the fun factor. The show needed more funny moments to keep it lively and exciting. It was missing that punch of excitement that we all watch shows for and, at times, was very snoozy. However, would I say no one should ever watch this show? Of course, not! Give it a try, some individuals might love it, and some might relate more to my opinion. It's not that I didn't enjoy watching the show; I just thought the show could have better executed it.
The refreshing part of the show was to watch the actors not hold themselves back when it came to the romantic scenes. I was exhausted from seeing actors not making the kissing scenes as realistic and spicy as they should be in other shows, and this series definitely brought the spice factor. The kissing scenes were incredible and all the other *stuff*. They didn't make me wonder why one of them wasn't even opening their mouth for a kiss, which is a plus point. The chemistry seemed natural, and so did the love factor.
Overall, I would say A+ for effort and a C for execution.

Honestly the story was pretty dragged out, and there was basically no change from episode 1 to episode 11 for ourain couple. They just lied and kept secrets from eachother for basically no reason, while having great sex. That's it, that's the plot. The a ting was surprisingly decent, and I have a feeling the cast did what they could with a mediocre story. The two leads were a little stupid, and bad communicators in general, but it was believable I guess, and their chemistry was nice.
But one very notable plus for me is during the leads first real sex scene, they quickly confirm they are sober, making sober decisions, and consenting. Then in the next clip on the bed we again reaffirm that at any point our protagonist can withdraw consent if his fiance does something our lead doesn't want. Just consent, and respect for your partner when you are both quite vulnerable. The bare minimum but basically a unicorn in most BLs, so I appreciate that they added that in. Even if they didn't trust eachother and had some really shitty behavior, they at least respected boundaries.
The music was really quite good, and the musician plot really allowed some really lovely sounding music. Of course is it even a Thai BL if hald the cast aren't engineering students? I really didn't care about the second lead couple, but the third couple were kind of cute.
