This is incredible

Real issues that people go through and how hard trauma is to go through. This is a masterpiece. The actors were perfection. I love this!!!!!! I especially loved the concept of how heaven and hell was set up it wasn’t too explicit, it was just right. The actors were elite. In all honesty this is probably my new fav k drama and I feel like this really helps me get through my own problems

Tomorrow Will Come... Eventually!

What a beautifully written show! At first when I heard about this show, I was very skeptical. Since its a show about suicide and as someone who snuffers from depression/anxiety and is a suicide survivor, I thought it would be a huge trigger for me, and with such a sensitive and somewhat taboo topic; they won't be able to dive into the nitty gritty aspects/details and struggles we go through. And boy was I wrong!!

This show did nothing but shed light on what victims go through. And the different stories/topic touched upon was perfectly executed. I cried in some, laughed in some and even felt the anger and pain of the victim too. Being I've been there and know what it' like. I also loved how the really made it know that for a person to reach the point where they believe death is the only option, it' because they've done all they can to fix/move on from the situation and cried for help but nothing has worked. And to get to the place where death is the 'perfect escape' from whatever hell-hole their in isn't an easy decision you just wake up and choose. Trust me I know. I've been down that road more times than I 'd like to admit and I'm glad I'm still alive to tell my story.

The fact that the name is 'Tomorrow' was just a reminder even though today might feel bleak, and you don't know whether or not you have the strength to keep going, just hold on because tomorrow always comes. It may take a while but it comes eventually and tomorrow will always be better than today. But even if it isn't still fight for tomorrow because you never know what it has in store for you.

As heavy of a topic this show was, it was written beautifully and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I'm pretty sure everyone who saw this has their take on what this series meant to them as far as suicide is concerned so I'm just going to delve into the cast a little bit.

I loved loved loved each and every main character. The one who played the main Grim Reaper-don't know his name and isn't going to even try to pronounce it had a love to hate and hate to love ratio for me. I didn't know he had some fighting skills because I've never seen him in any drama that contained fighting but you could tell he loved playing a Reaper.

I loved the main ML. He was just so adorable. I never seen anything that he's been in and I loved his demeanor. I know they say you're the opposite of what you play but it seems like he's genuinely like this which is why he was perfectly cast for this role.

The other main ML who was on the Risk Management team was my favorite. I seen him in several other dramas and for some odd reason he has a way of making you love what he's in. From the other dramas I've seen him in I've never been disappointed. The slight bromance between him and the other main ML was the best. There was one episode where I did about a dozen rewinds because that scene was just hilarious. I loved those two's chemistry.

The main FL was awesome as well. I only saw her in Room No. 9 and Angry mom. I didn't realize she and the female actor who played as the director played in Room No. 9. She has some good fighting skills as well. They weren't strongly portrayed but the little that she did worked.

I can't believe they left out the dog that was cast in one of the episodes. He stole the whole episode. I immediately wanted a dog like that.

Speaking of the dog, there were several episodes that had me holding back tears. The one with the dog in it almost got me. It gave me a perspective of how animals could think.

I've read some reviews were a lot loved this drama and few that hated it. It's not for everybody because you can't please everybody.

It's a really great watch that gives one a broader aspect on how choices in your life can not only affect you but also those who are around you.

I think somewhere down the line this is a drama I could watch again. I'm coming up on my 2.5 year Korean drama anniversary and is truly thanking Korea for saving me from the tremendous bouts of boredom I endured before their dramas entered into my life!

ONE OF THE BEST KDRAMA

I must say this drama is a masterpiece !! It is an amazing and very necessary drama, full of stories and subjects that reflect real life struggles all around the world, and it’s just remarkable how the issues were approached in every episode, the amount of attention shown to all of them, highlighted perfectly it’s importance .
The cast was fantastic, and the narrative and acting were INCREDIBLE! Every single episode has deep meanings and it's soo freaking good, and the stupid controversy about V and Jungkook is really FREAKING annoying.. the ways these immature armies are reacting is really stupid cuz they ALWAYS mention that this drama is "FICTION," which means that EVERYTHING IS FICTION!!!! It's quite irritating. I mean, there are a lot of people named Kim Taehyung, and the kth's birth year is 1971, not 1997! Furthermore, the name of Jungkook was not even mentioned! Only the month of his birth. The date and year were specified, and there are a lot of individuals born on that day and year.. these so-called "armies" need to understand that the world does not revolve around bts, and they should also stop screaming that the cast should repent because they did nothing wrong. Stop making nasty comments and giving 1 stars when some of you guys DIDN'T EVEN WATCH IT! Instead of wasting your time being foolish and sensitive, do something that actually promotes bts. You guys are overly emotional and sensitive, and you're tarnishing the image of actual armies who TRULY love BTS, as well as BTS's image. As an army myself I'm really disappointed with you guys. Stop ruining a fine kdrama simply because you're sensitive, and since this drama is about mental health, it's best if you watch it since something is seriously wrong with your mental health... Seriously, I had no idea fans could be so immature, childish, and toxic.

Get ready for emontional roller-coster

Each episode shows a separate story. Each episode introduces us to a different character and different baggage built up through years of anguish, grief, lack of understanding and many other individual situations. The drama shows how big a problem ignoring mental health can become, but at the same time it inspires hope that there is always a way out of even a hopeless situation and we don't need the presence of a "demon" for that.
The message that goes with this drama is very deep, it hits hard and stays in the memory. In my opinion, one of the best dramas I've ever seen. And so far the only one I wrote about here.

A learning experience.

I read a few reviews after i watched this drama and was amazed how everyone processed it differently. I myself loved it and the cast did a wonderful job portraying there characters. The storyline was unique when Choi jun woong was involved in stopping a suicide and was accidentally injured causing him to be in a coma for either 6 months or 3yrs. He find out that he is neither dead or alive and is now a Grim Reapers for the RM team (risk management to prevent a suicide ) for 6mo. He causes problems, but also fixes them. I liked how they tried to instill that *Words" can be interpreted as helpful, hurtful and harmful . As the old sayings was "The pen is mighty than a sword" was used to instill positive thoughts and feelings, but as time went on the sword became sharper and used the pen to install harm. Sadly we live in a world that uses other malicious things like cyberbullying, IG, tweets, tiktoc etc. belittling people who they dont even know or just jump on the bandwagon to get likes. I felt that this show was trying to express how ones words and comments can be positive and instill hope. When other are negative and cause despair the complete loss or absence of hope which causes failure and pushes one to suicides. Some people are crying out to get help and other feel like a burdens to someone, but if only someone could lend an ear and listen and show them there away out. Remember if you dont have something nice to say dont say it at all.

UNDERATED

This show was so good. I say it is underated because i feel alot of people dont want to watch sad things but there was alot of messages in this show that need to be shared and people need to see because people in real life go through these things or have gone through them.
On a lighter note i loved rowoon's character and all the characters for that matter. I do wish there was more between miss koo and mr park. Iove their story and wish they did more with their relationship. Do i wish for a seaspn 2 yes of course in hopes rowoon can come back and join the team and i could see more relationship development. Thats wishful thinking because i know they wont make a season 2 ㅠㅠ

Needless to say JUST WATCH IT.

Getting more and more interesting..

Each episodes/story of individual repesented morale and value behind their struggles in life.

I didnt know why I wiped like crazy person over the first lady story (highschool trauma). It was real good moment when ChoiJoonWoong hugged her and gave the encouragement words. That's exactly the kind of mental support we want. Without realizing, as any human being whom been stressing about life - we all actually just wanted to hear that kind of simple words. (Curious what he said? then start watching this show! Lol)

Also, there were times, I really do feel like slapping that CJW. He's just too reckless! Sigh.. but that makes his personality outstand in this show. So I'm gonna suck it up. Moreover, I can wait to find out the history of Ms. Kim's sin and death..

But well, yeah.. Is good show and worth your time :)

now i like this kind of drama too

Firstly the cast is soo fiiine, I started watching this drama mainly becouse of Rowoon he amazed me with his acting skills for the first time in extraordinary you and this, it just felt so real. Also I really like the female lead too and her character, she has strong personality and she's also good in fighting. I loved the parts where she was fighting with the bad guys the most.
Story? I really liked it and when i was thinking about watching it i had hard time choosing if i should, becouse the main reason is that i don't really like kdramas with gream reapers but this, it never made me feel bored and i was fascinated the whole time, i was waiting every week for new episodes. But i haven't watched it all yet so.....
And the only thing that it lacked was that this kdrama has only slight romance or even maybe none. its just about my preference but i think it would be better with it. Im right now on 13 and half episode so i can't really tell much but its ending in a few episodes so.

The theme is interesting, but the drama is not

The Korean society seems more prone to suicide than most of countries. The theme is important, but the drama did not kept me interest in it .
The way the afterlife organisation was constructed was annoying to me. Lots of holes with weird outcomes. The past story of the characters were very superficial, the different teams, etc.

STORY - maybe a message of hope to some people who are in a down part of their life. For them, please keep up! But nothing more...
Most of the suicide stories were very boring for me, but maybe lots of people can see themselves in those struggles.

ACTING - wonderful the lead actress. The other 2 members of her team were ok. And that is it.

MUSIC - do not remember any of the songs or melodies...

REWATCH - never. There isn't a single scene I would like to see again.

OVERALL - a different theme rapped up in a fantasy world of the death. I realised that there are thousands of grim reapers with nationality! Amazing!

Too Episodical and Not Enough Backstory

TLDR: Started off strong, too many episodical episodes, not enough Worldbuilding for the Reapers and their rules, not enough Character Backstories/Development for our 4-5 main characters, too many messages (e.g. suicide is a sin) I disagreed with.

As the title suggests, I felt this drama was too episodical when all I really wanted was backstories and worldbuilding for our Grim Reapers and the Grim Reaper world. The episodes were fine a 1 to 2 capsulated stories until about episode 8, and then I was getting bored of the format and just wanted to know all about our 3 main reapers (Koo, Lim, and Park), plus the boss of them. I wanted so much more worldbuilding of the Reaper world, the rules, their day to day life, what they did in their free time etc. by that point.

So the last 8 or so episodes were a bit of a drag. I absolute loved the two episodes spent on Lim and his backstory but I feel like we super super rushed through Park and Koo's -- also I was expecting there to be a twist such as he's actually her son or something, rather than the predictable story we did get.

I wish we had gotten like the first 8 episodes as is, and then the last 8 episodes were actual worldbuilding and backstories of the Reapers and the Reaper World -- it fell very lacklustre at towards the end.

Also, you can see the Christian values and the influence it has on Korean culture within this drama such as "reap your sins before death", "purgatory before you can go to heaven or reincarnation", and "suicide is murder and a sin" which are things I personally disagree with.
I AM happy that towards the end we do see Park change in his thoughts of "suicide is sin and people who kill themselves should suffer in hell" somewhat, but I wanted something more explicit from him.

Another thing is you can see the heavy handiedness of the Pro-South-Korea messages throughout the show where it makes the Reaper world very unequal/unfair. I'll post the full explanation at the very end because I get very detailed and could make people uncomfortable and angry but TLDR: there are some Pro-Korea episodes, and one is basically "look how amazing South Koreans are and we're so amazing that after death, even if we killed people in war, we aren't going to hell for these sins because we were the winners." Which, I thought the Reapers were supposed to be fair? So surely, they should be going to hell because they did sin?!

If we had been given more details and explainations in the show for things like this rather than have 13+ episodicals. Even just a simple "if you're killing people in self-defense or without malicious intent (such as defending your country from invaders) then it's not seen as a sin in the Reaper world." would've been good enough for me, but even this isn't explained.

Conclusion: Started off strong, too many episodical episodes, not enough Worldbuilding for the Reapers and their rules, not enough Character Backstories/Development for our 4-5 main characters, too many messages (e.g. suicide is a sin) I disagreed with.

****

Here's the long version of my Pro-Korea part:

We see two episodes of two different wars (WW2 and the Korean War).

First episode: it's never said or confirmed that the South Korean soldiers will be sent to hell for killing people (when killing is very obviously a sin). This show very much felt like it was implying: so long as you're defending your country and you're on the side that wins, killing people is absolutely fine according to the Korean Reapers. But neither the rules nor explanation is in the show.

Secondly, we have a heavy Pro-Korea and Anti-Japan episode which to me felt very intentional (therefore harmful) which is what I disliked about it.

If you don't know Korea-Japan relations and history this is a very important, eye-opening, horrific, and informative episode. Everyone should know about this history, absolutely!

But, I personally felt the message of this episode is intentionally very harmful: "hey, young Koreans, Japanese imperialism did this to us and they still haven't apologised for what they did. So, we're making this episode because we want Koreans furious at Japan for another year and we wanna increase the anti-Japan views in Korea even more than they still are".

But as someone who has studied it:

Actually, Japan HAS apologised (since 2007) and has done for many times.
Korea DEMANDS apologies every single year and has done for many years (more so from great-grandchildren now rather than the people who actually suffered because most have passed away, rest their souls - which you could probably now call 'generational-trauma').
Japan HAS compensated the families and victims (apparently 1 billion yen -- although I know that it won't ever be enough for the victims).
Korean newspapers and politicians still post and encourage anti-Japan views - they literally blamed Japan for the 2022 Itaewon Halloween incident in a few newspapers - while Japan is embracing Korean culture at an alarming speed (thanks to KPop and Korean food).
This history is still not in Japanese history books (especially in school ones where they rarely learn modern history anyway).

So, as you can see, both sides are bad!

I can't help but think this episode wanted to strain Korea-Japan relations even more than it already is. It feels like the episode was created on purpose to make Koreans continue the rage and the pain, rather than "this was absolutely horrific but it's time to heal; educate ourselves and others while trying to build a better future and relationship with each other both inside and outside Korea." and I personally find that in very bad taste.

TOO RUSHED AND 0 CHEMISTRY

I binged it over 3 days and found myself fast forwarding half the episodes. More effort was given to aesthetics than to the dialogues which were bleak and not strong enough for the theme. IDK how these many liked it. Maybe I just saw better ones than this in this genre. The chemistry was very forced and due to lack of proper backstory the couple had not even a thread to romantic look between them. Also rowoon was very annoying and stupid with no character development. The rules of the reapers were vague and unclear as they were ONLY applied to the scenes to enable the story.
As someone working in the mental health field, what I liked was how the problems were portrayed BUT I absolutely hated the way they were handled. Such serious issues like PTSD, Eating disorders, depression etc... that are serious enough to warrant suicide CANNOT be solved in minutes or through words of comfort alone. Their attempt to stop suicide was very lethargic contrary to what they say and that red light app was yucky. I cannot even remeber any ost.
overall a decent watch which satisfies your eyes but not your brain or heart
