AMAZING!

One of the most anticipated series and it was definitely worth waiting for. Perfect casting, amazing cinematography and has a good storyline. Although I didn't expect the series to have a comedic approach, it wasn't cringy. Apo, Mile and the rest of the cast did great at delivering their character's emotions. I also love how they didn't exactly follow the novel and made Kinn more human and less violent. As much as I love the novel, I didn't mind the changes made. Overall, a great series that's definitely different from the rest. Highly recommended!

"All my life, is yours"

My reaction to this series was kinda similiar to my reaction to Not Me the Serie, in both dramas I wasn't expecting to like it so much.
It was AMAZING Jeff Satur and Bible really are something aren't they?
VegasPete the most toxic ship of all time is the one who I loved the most, before watching it I was just simping over Bible (don't get me wrong. I still do) I didn't really understand all the hype about the ship and especially Pete, the relationship was toxic and Pete was so goofy and dumb but after watching it my mind change quicker than an F1 car ahahahaha Pete is such a smart and kind b*tch, like bestie we can't find men like him in a lot of places so now I get it why Vegas felt so hard for him (I would too).
Kinn is not my cup of tea, at the end of the series I started to like him more than at the beginning but he's not a good guy at all. Porsche, I just fucking love him, he's my total opposite sometimes it was even funny to see ahahaha
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wrote some note while I was watching the drama, gonna let them here bellow for you to read my honest thoughs about this BL<3
HAHAH PETE IS SO NAIVE AHAHA I LOVE HIM AHAHA
Ok people I know Vegas is the biggest red flag that ever existed in the whole world but if he ever asked me to runaway with him like he did to Porsche (ep.9) I would just say "Yes please", I wouldn't even care about nothing more I would hear him asking me that as if he was asking me to marry him ahahah
I don't know what my problem or why they always choose the hottest actors to do the bitch characters but I would give EVERYTHING to wake in Kim's (Jeff Satur) arms ahahaha even though he would break my heart into pieces after 2 weeks... Porchay is so naive poor guy but he really got balls hein, I would never confess my feelings to someone or say I love them after the first night spent together as he did
I'm realizing that I am also a f*cking red flag ahahah when Porshe says the Vegas is a jerk and he just says "You only realize that now?" it's something that I would say hahha holly molly
I really hated that scene in ep. 10 when Kinn says that he feels that forgot something... that something is a person and it's Pete, the head bodyguard, the one who trusted the most, I really deeply hate that
Now I'm pitting Porchay and I SON'T WHAT THAT
Kinn's full of bullshit... he trying to touch Porsche an Porsche rejecting but he making signs so the bodyguard wouldn't touched him WAS HOTTTT
Poor hedgehog he was with no doubts the main character on the series kkkkk Vegas raction to his death is nothing but painful... HAHAHAH Vegas slapping himself is the funniest thing I've ever seen
I don't like that Porsche is lying to Kinn about is intentions when he's going to live with him again, if he was honest with Kinn everything would be so much easier
Kinn wanting to meet Porsche parents who are already dead is the cutest thing ever
Besties, I thought Dark Blue Kiss OST was good but this one is just too amazing "Free fall" IS THE SH*T
New kink unlocked: Vegas (Bible) speaking english... this sh*t turns me on hahaha

All characters are flawed, there is no real hero or villain

KinnPorsche is largely amoral towards any crimes and mafia activity. It also hardly passes judgment on what kinds of behaviour are ‘wrong’ or questionable, merely serving as a mirror to reflect how the flaws of damaged humans.

The series vacillates between three poles: the dark (violence), the light (humour), and the fluffy (romance).

Kinn’s family and their bodyguards speak only one common language – violence. Entangled in a complex web of rivalries where their survival is threatened, Porsche quickly learns that trust is a commodity that few can afford in Kinn’s world.

Kinn is drawn to Porsche’s playful innocence and carefree nature. But the realisation sinks in quickly; there’s no way they can live like other ordinary couples. If only he could shed his skin and be rid of his responsibilities to become neither a leader of a mafia ring nor his father’s son – just Kinn, a man who wants to be with Porsche.

And here comes the fluffy part. At times, the relationship between Kinn and Porsche seems just like any other typical BL. They rain kisses on each other’s cheeks and whisper sweet nothings like teenagers in love.

The trailer for KinnPorsche created the impression that the series is sinister, violent, and moody. But the show turned out to be less dark than I expected. Personally, I found some of these supposedly humorous moments a little cringey to sit through – the worst of the lot being Porsche’s incompetent fails in the earlier episodes, which made him look unnecessarily immature and silly.

But overall, KinnPorsche is an amazing BL. With moral ambiguity, wild intimacy scenes (a word of caution: I strongly recommend you watch it with headphones), stunning fight sequences and a very different brand of ‘romance’ from what BL fans are used to, KinnPorsche is groundbreaking in its own right.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!
Great characters, plot and soundtrack. It makes you want more every episode, the story line is an absolute masterpiece and the actor’s chemistry is beautiful. This series gives you a great amount of action and romance, even the NC scenes were beautifully made.Everything About it is what makes it the best Thai Bl of 2022 ( also to include that every actor is smoking hot ?) The ending and even the plot twist were amazing, I hope they announce a season 2 some time soon <3

Go watch it!

I can't get over this one!
I had been waiting for KinnPorsche to finally get released for quite some time. At first I even tried to wait till all episodes had come out (cause I hate to wait an entire week for a new episode) but at some point I just couldn't anymore and decided to torture myself. By the time it came to the last episode I already managed to rewatch it all.
I fell in love with the characters right away. You can just see how much effort they all put into their work.
Although I can't choose a favorite, I do think that Tong's character, Tankhun, stood out the most. The way he hid his smart ass brain behind a wall of crazyness was just perfection and made every scene with him memorable.
The chemistry between Mile/Apo and Bible/Build is so strong you can actually feel it through the screen. Their acting felt so natural it sometimes made me forget I was watching a show.
Praise should go out to the story and scriptwriters for this as well. The way everything flowed together made it very relaxing to watch.
I could go on and on about everything I liked about this show but I don't want to spoil anything.

I am definitely going to rewatch this again (and again cause who am I kidding) and I recommend you to do the same.
I can't wait for the second season to come out already. There are so many questions left unsolved, so many plot twists that need an explanation. To quote Porsche: "Where's the truth?!" I'd like the answer to this myself, please.

Game changer for the BL genre

This series... Where do I begin? It's so far the best BL series ever. It's nearly flawless in story telling, visuals, music and acting.

This series had a rough start. It changed cast, production houses and more before it started filming. This could have been a blessing in disguise, however, since there was now a much longer prep time. This was used by the actors to get acquainted with their characters and each other before actual filming. And it shows. The total immersion into the characters and the story is impressive. Paired with the utterly stunning visuals, both in the actors as in the lighting, camera work and sets, makes for a game changing BL series.

It's mature in all aspects. The love scenes are somewhat explicit, but visually so, so attractive. Even the BDSM scenes look beautiful. There's a deep understanding on how to display emotions with just visuals and it brings it to such a high level.

The casting is on point, the actors obviously have a deep respect for their characters and their own stories. I have watched a lot of bts footage (thank you BOC) which also makes that abundantly clear.

Was there anything I didn't like? Well, yes. For example, there are only 14 episodes. I could've watched a 140 like this. No, all kidding aside, Time/Tee needed so much more screentime. They were there, we know they must have a story to tell, but they never got the chance to tell it.

Some story lines are not fully cleared up, but that doesn't take away from the whole.

I'm not a re-watcher. Once seen, I review and leave it. This is one of few I will re-watch. This I will re-watch until blue in the face. In fact I'm starting right now and I won't stop until they release S2. Better get on it, BOC!

It's not perfect but it's wildly entertaining

Weeks ago I was going to drop this at episode 4 because it wasn't what I wanted it to be. It was so silly at the beginning and I was looking forward to something more serious and gritty.

I kept reading all the comments and discussions about how people were loving it and I was like why? But before I dropped it I decided to give it one more chance. I stopped thinking about what I wanted this show to be and decided I'd take it as what it was...a romcom with a mafia backdrop. With that in mind, I watched 5 and thankfully it started clicking with me. I'm glad I didn't drop it because it's been a wild rollercoaster of a ride since.

Kinn and Porsche: A lot of people seemed to find them boring after a while, but I loved their chill, fluffy domesticity we don't get to see a lot of that. Plus their chemistry was always on point.

Vegas and Pete: I do think their whole thing was rushed, but I loved all the angst. Who doesn't love two tortured men in love? I just wish they'd given it more than a few episodes to flesh out and really breathe. I'll be on the look out for Bible's future works because he's so compelling as an actor.

Kim and Chay: I liked their cute/innocent thing. I do think there was a lot more they could have done with them, but I also think Barcode's age played a role in that. Like maybe they were holding back on a proper story because it could be uncomfortable? I don't know. I feel like Jeff and Barcode both were underutilized .

As for the production, There were some things in this show that weren't done well. Definitely some head scratching moments, some things that probably happened solely for the shock value, and some super weird product placements, but there were lots of things I think were done extremely well, the directing, some of the acting, and some really great scenes. I'm glad Beyond Cloud picked this up, because despite this show not being anywhere near perfect it was fun and entertaining and I personally saw a lot of potential for greatness from their future works.

too much trauma

are people seeing what im seeing when watching this? I thought given the context of the characters yes maybe some things would be bad (because in the show they don't know any different) but its literally just hyper sexualising some really sweet men that could be so much more. I can't believe I even watched up to ep7 but after that ending, you can best believe I won't be going back there ever again. now ill point out the good bits- its pretty and it looks nice, the acting isn't too bad and Mile and Apo act quite well and honestly are just so sweet. however, the emotions keep changing like one minute its romantic/sexy and the next its serious, or when it goes from funny to just stupid and boring. I really liked Kinns brother because he was in TTTS and I really enjoyed his character, but here (not because of him but I feel like the fault of the director and character in general), he's awful and I can't take him seriously (I know its meant to be funny but its too silly and unbelievable). second of all - I feel like they use the face/body of the two main characters to make up for the series and it doesn't work.

now the thing that I'm most furious about: rape. I don't understand how people are seeing this show and thinking about how cute or sexy those scenes were- Porsche was drunk (twice) and DRUGGED literally till he couldn't even stand up straight, and yet Kinn did things to him. not once, not twice, but three times. and we're only at ep7. Kinn raped Porsche and they're still having a relationship. its so toxic and I think they could've still had that in the story line (because maybe that's what mafia men are like) but at least make it seem undesirable because its not okay, and people watching this seem to think that its cute for a guy to rape and sexually abuse someone who is drunk or drugged- absolutely not. and another thing - affection does not equal an apology, and neither does a little 'sorry' before you start to feel him up. the ending of ep6 sort of gave me hope as king really acted like he was sorry and wanted Porsche to have a better life- but to be in the same position and insult Porsche whilst he is literally being assaulted, was horrible, cruel and unnecessary. this review is quite a rant so im sorry about that. but I have to express my upset (I've literally cried so much because I don't understand how they can air a series that contains so many bad issues- without any disclosure). I could write so much but ill leve it there. if anyone reads this- please know that there are other series out there that are still sexy/romantic that don't show nearly the amount of toxicity, or at least if they do they show how bad it is instead of sexualising it. consent is a real thing that is part of everyday life- this show clearly has never heard of such a thing.

Disappointing and uncomfortable, couldn't finish (TW)

TW: mentions of sexual assault

The first few episodes are incredible. Unfortunately they make a promise that the rest of the show simply can't keep. It fluctuates from a really interesting crime drama to a super bad, tropey slice of life show. I kept getting whiplash from the sudden atmosphere changes. On top of that, the plot, while promising in places, is generally very messy and a lot of the episodes feel forced and only there to make the characters do specific things.

What bothered me most and made me stop watching was the amount of rape and sexual assault in this show. I get this is a mafia show and violence is to be expected but it reaches a point where it just feels fetishy and uncomfortable. I'm not interested in shipping couples who don't respect consent, which is unfortunately the case for more than one couple on this show. It made it impossible to root for some of the main characters.

Positives are great acting, great soundtrack and directing and atmosphere are often well done too. It's such a shame because the good parts are REALLY good but unfortunately the bad parts are also REALLY bad. I tried to stay for the good but the bad just became too much and I stopped after episode 10.

Kinnporsche, my favorite BL series and why

So, I don't even know where to start from. First of all, many can agree or disagree, just my personal opinion.

Now...
Kinnporsche is really my favorite BL ever. I love everything, from the beginning to the end.
I've read part of the novel, and I really like kind of more the series, but anyway...

Cinematography is really amazing. The visuals, colors, quality... WONDERFUL.

The plot is pretty cool, no more university stories etc... I mean, yes okay, there's Chay, but it isn't focused in his life there, so finally a break from the same plots.

The actors are incredible, even the rookie ones such as Mile, Bible, Chay...
They fit so well their characters, finally not ""cute"" boys that seem in their teenage years, but that are actually in their mid 20's, almost 30 many of them.
I really like their acting, especially Apo's. I love him. An incredible actor. Through his eyes, expressions, body, everything. He knows how to deliver the message he wants to.

About the music, I really like the OSTs, also because there are finally real singers singing them, and not "wannabe singers" that... yeah, I think you can understand me.

About the r*pe, torturing etc... I don't mind it. Why? Because I know it's a fictional story, NOT real. In real life I'd never agree to this, but it's something fictional, and I know how to distinguish reality from fiction.
Also, it's not Stockholm syndrome guys. I mean, a person with this syndrome, would never want to escape and would want to stay with his kidnapper, but that's not the case... Even in the novel, also in the series, Pete WANTS to escape even if he seems to be a bit attached to Vegas. So that's not the case. Pete needs Vegas, like Vegas needs Pete. It's not love yet, it's only a need. Love will begin in season 2 in my opinion, with VegasPete as main couple.
They are currently my favorite couple, just because.

It's kind of sad we didn't get much screen time for the other couple such as Time and Te, but it's fine.

Sign me Up for the Mafia!

So far the very few action BL‘s that I have watched have been pretty tragic or even boring, just overall unsatisfying even if the acting was good, and far from riveting. So I went in with expectations hopeful, but overall realistic. The two leads are to plainly put it… Hot. The sexiness is probably the most charismatic, full of chemistry couple I have ever seen in BL since Tharntype. But they have officially beat that couple. If I were to compare this couple as far as being Starcrossed lovers, or a duo whose names will be synonymous with one another, would be my favorite book BL couple from “Addicted Heroin”.

You just know that after that first episode their chemistry is just gonna continue to be off this charts. They’re acting as well as physical chemistry just really gelled for me. I have unfortunately seen a lot of subpar acting in BL‘s. But this one was worth the wait. I’m not sure if it’s because they had longer to rehearse and spend time together, or if they would be good actors in any other series. But they really impressed me on this one. Even the side actors were pretty good.

I would say that youngest brother Kim was probably the weakest actor out of the brothers. You can tell that he was just there for eye candy. Also I thought that his plot really ended up not going anywhere. Throughout the whole series he seems to be trying to find dirt on his family, or the minor family, possibly even Porsche’s family. But the story ends up not going anywhere and leaves you wondering what the point of it was. I guess to give him air time? To make him relevant as a romantic side couple? Even younger brother Porchay had more relevance!

I also thought in the last two episodes I was all of a sudden in a Lakorn! It got a bit melodramatic and didn’t really seem to fit the whole rest of the action love story theme. Without giving any surprises away (though it wasn’t that much of a surprise), it seemed more like a “gotcha” moment that they wanted to try to surprise people with. I also felt like there was something not quite right with how they tried to end the surprise. It didn’t really seem to make sense and I still doubted what the characters were telling was the truth. I don’t know if that was to try to set up for a second season or not? But I feel like the season ended well and really a follow up would be pointless.

A minor sidenote is the music. I normally hate Thai music. And I’m sorry to offend anyone out there who is Thai, or who loves that music, but out of all the Lakorns I’ve watched and BL‘s I’ve lot watched I have never been a fan of the music. I think most of it ends up sounding the same and sounds pretty corny, to tell the truth. And I love pop music, especially K-pop! But there’s just something about Thai pop music, and in these dramas the music they use, that I just can’t stand. However, I really did like the intro and Outro song of the series. It was very different from what I’m used to hearing. It was actually quite catchy and I liked the rock element of it. Even the slower song that they ended up singing I thought it was very well done.

Overall I would have to say that this BL is in my top five, no I would say even top three, BL‘s ever. As far as including books and TV series I would say it’s in my top five for favorite couples. You’re not going to get much in the way of social issues or heavy emotional plot, but you’re going to get tons of chemistry and love which I think a lot of us are in it for.

one for the history books

This show is definitely a rare gem. It was so good from beginning to end without a single boring scene. The show feels very rich and the production is immaculate. The acting is insane. All the actors gave it their all and portrayed their characters so well, especially Bible and Build. The OST's are soo good that I actually listen to them on Spotify everyday. The only con I have about it is the plot. They tried to include as much as possible from the book which left us with inconsistencies and many unnecessary scenes. Saturdays will not be the same without this show.
