A flawed but fun camp experience
Not a long review. Some of the reviews are very... weird so I felt like I needed to add my own two sense.Overall worth a watch especially if you have watched BL shows. it has some of the same flaws and subverts some others.
The usual BL suspension of reality needs to be used to start.
The shows casting is fun, it's refreshing to have adult men be sexually active and not just allude to it and act like demure and nearly prudish at the thought. I understand these shows are primarily made for women and not usually gay men, but the characters here avoided that a bit.
It's also incredibly refreshing to dodge high school/ college being the main setting.
The main flaw of the series is that some plot and pacing. There are absolutely some plots and subplots that are dropped, or underdeveloped. At times it can come off as a bit soap opera-ish. Id say the series would feel more solid with some minor early episode plots reduced in time and some character motives looked at.
The show has a great run and fumbles a little bit on the ending and feels like it could have done with an episode more to give some plot threads more time to resonate.
I'd absolutely recommend watching it if you're on the fence. It's a strong show.

Successful yet conflicting
KP is probably one of the most successful BL series of the year 2022, or might I say, in the history of Thai BLs. I think 10 percent of the success belongs to that fateful 9-minute trailer the previous production company released one fateful day in 2020. I still remember all the clips and FMVs that circulated at the speed of light and the hype that came with it.I personally feel conflicted. As much as I loved it, I feel guilty to admit that there were parts that simply did not live up to my expectations. (I have read the novel, so I might be a little biased towards one side or the other at times)
Story 10/10
A full rating because of the unique premise of the series. A mafia romance. A story that is bound to have action-packed scenes, angst, mystery, betrayals, and tragedy. It's never been done before. Some BLs have come close to this (HIStory), but none have carried it out with such perfection. I also applaud BOC for getting rid of some of the darker and inappropriate scenes that the novel had and watered them down for television otherwise, the pairings simply would not have worked.
Acting 8.5/10
However, I was disappointed by how kinn turned out. He simply lacked the edge that should have set him apart as the main family head. In the beginning, I was completely taken by his ice-cold and calculative personality. I expected more of that. Somehow love turned his brain mushy, unfortunately. We were shown his soft side and how he never wanted to be a part of this, yet I can't help but feel like they should have let kinn bring out his dominant boss personality more. It was a slight letdown.
I know I'm going to be a villain when I say this, but I simply did not feel anything when Porschay was on-screen during the beginning episodes. Yes, I'm keeping in mind that Barcode is a rookie. He deserves a 10/10 for doing so well during the ending episodes. The way he portrays his heartbreak and his confusion. in ep 14 brought me to TEARS. I'm only sad that I couldn't really connect to his character when he was in love (that sweet 10 minutes when he was lying down with Kim and told him he loved him). I've seen all the BTS and acknowledge his effort and talent. He truly grew through the series. Tong's physical comedy was *chef's kiss* and Apo was just absolutely loveable as Porsche.
Cast 10/10
The actors were perfectly cast for their respective roles. Their chemistry was ultimate perfection, and I especially have to give kudos to Bible and Build. They did an AMAZING job. Apo and Mile truly put their heart and soul into their NC scenes, and VegasPete relationship was beautifully portrayed. I think their pairing was truly a masterpiece. Jeff performed extraordinarily well, ESPECIALLY in the action scenes. He was the main attraction during the finale and left me speechless.
Music 10/10
The instrumental of Freefall brought me to tears, and Why don't you stay is a masterpiece. Jeff's voice is heavenly. I have been obsessed with these two since I heard them.
All the action and comedy scenes were vibrant and enjoyable. The subtle clues and microexpressions brought the series to life. The gradients used during the VP scenes were marvelous and were treats for us fans to analyze.
Overall 9/10
I'm eager to see where the stories might go if there is an S2. Unfortunately, there were a lot of strings left untied, which left me feeling unsatisfied. I think what everyone has to keep in mind is that KP (as told by the cast), is more of a BL romance with action rather than an action series with a BL romance. It is more lighthearted and comedic than expected but is all the more appreciated because of it.

Well, that was convenient
I swear I could feel my body mass decrease as I lost a considerable quantity of braincells while watching this dumpster fire. Everything was going pretty fine till episode 8—handsome guy bumps into handsome guy, saves aforementioned h.g. from goons, who eventually turns out to be the second son and leader of the "major family" that assumingly has a major hand in all the corruption and backdoor dealings in Thailand. Hot handsome guy wants funny handsome guy to be his bodyguard, due to certain mysterious orders from his father, but at some point banging became more fun.Up till the halfway mark I wasn't really questioning things, I took everything they gave: the funny moments, the cute moments and the (generously sprinkled) sexy moments. I mean we got such a cute date too! And we got another brooding handsome guy, the elder son and head of the minor family, to stand by as the love triangle and contrived jealousy moments which eventually lead to some more banging.
But then Kinnporsche did its ultimate mistake. If it had only continued the next six episodes as it had in the first eight, I would've given it a 7 (+0.5 for Tankhun), labelled it "boring, but sexy" and called it a day. BUT NO! Kinnporsche had to bring in a plot!
Big mistake.
We now get to see all sorts of mysterious "Russians" and "yakuzas" and "deals" getting mentioned. We have the sudden *whisper* weakening of the major family. A conspiracy of the minor family! Surely not! And this is where it falls apart, because it becomes markedly more pronounced that this story isn't going anywhere.
To be fair, I like Kinn and Porsche’s relationship. We don't really have to deal with the notoriety of the mafia except that Kinn has never in his life been on a date with a cute boy and with Porsche he can be himself, the guy he wants to be, not what he is forced to be. They tried to play the "I don't trust you but I still do" card multiple times, but all grievances are resolved early, mostly leading upto more sexy fanservice.
Despite the lack of chemistry between Kim and Chay, I like their dynamic: the dangerous, loomy third son and his innocent head-over-heels-in-love fan. (Ruined by Chay though, there's a difference in being childish and innocent, too bad writers still can't distinguish it. Even worse that I can't deal with cringey romances).
They should've brought in Vegas and Pete earlier. They brought a lot of steam to an otherwise mundane show, and while Build (Pete) simply cannot cry, they were an entertaining pair to watch. And honestly, in this entire show, these two were the most believable ones. Didn't like the final scene though, Pete was meant to be his "pet" because that's how their dynamic was; they are not a vanilla couple but I guess we have to care for the audience too.
The best part about this story was Porsche and Chay. But somehow the show maker managed to ruin that too because the entirety of episode 13 and final revolved around this blatantly contrived, stupid plot surrounding their mother's death. I can list ten unanswered questions and ten plotholes here (but les not spoil).
Separately taken, the romance, the comedy, and the darker parts of the plot are entertaining, but when put together it's this huge clusterfuck which has been running for fourteen episodes when it could've been condensed to ten. For a story which features at least five sons and two heads of the mafia, it is quite disconnected from the grind. We have massive houses and personally owned sky scrapers and a luxurious lifestyle, but there isn't anything to set it apart from a rich male lead romance except that we do see them pull out the guns once in a while but for the major part, Kinn and his father are both kept very, very clean. If you're afraid to stan a hero with questionable morals then don't be, because the only one getting his hands really dirty is Vegas.
I didn't expect Kinnporsche to go all godfather on me, but what sucks is that it shamelessly borrows from mafia themes to spice up the story. There isn't much violence except when they whip out their guns once in a while and in the VegasPete storyline. In the very last episode there's a sudden burst of bloodshed like a poorly done slasher.
I get that we have to give screentime to Miles and Apo’s abs but some in on the mafia side wouldn't have hurt. In the penultimate episode, all sorts of bizarre plotlines are brought in. The behaviour of the characters, especially Vegas are very inconsistent. The existing storylines were resolved poorly. What KP does get right however is the acting. The actors have done awesome for the most of it especially the mains.

MEANINGFUL
My first and only Thai BL series. This series's more than a BL story, it's about family, trust, friendship, hardship, action,... the whole story is the fight for love, for power, for peace, for survival. The acting of the main couple blew me away, really amazing. Some said there're so many 18+ scenes but tbh, there're only about several minutes of 18+ scene in total, and they're pure art, nothing to beoffensive. I also love the way that KinnPorsche broke the traditons of Thai BL series as i knew that most of them are 'bout school age love. Moreover, the investment for making this film is huge, the music they chose in each scene is amazing.
SUPER STRONG CHEMISTRY BETWEEN MAIN COUPLE KIN PORSCHE, SO REAL

Disapointed
It was my first thai drama. I watched it because I've loved asian romance dramas for a long time and I've heard a lot about it. I thought it was going to be that sexy, steamy dark romance and I think that's really what they tried to do with this drama, but it was so poorly done.Let's talk about the things I liked first:
- Porsche. His actor was awesome, I liked his character and the fact that he was not just super cool but also kinda stupid and careless.
-The fight/action scenes were really well done and choreographed, and I particularly loved the last two episodes, they were super intense.
-Vegas and Pete. Their relationship was messed up, dark, touching, intense, and they were both awesome as individual characters. I saw a review that said that this couple made them want to skip Kinn/porsche's scenes and I agree. If they hadn't been there, I would have dropped the serie probably.
Now onto everything I hated
First of all, Kinn is such a poorly written character. They say he is super cruel but then he's always super nice with Porsche from the beginning, and he is stupid as hell, always making the bad decisions. I also could not connect with his actor at all. The relationship between Kinn/porsche seemed forced, I truly did not find any chemistry in there and I think it's mainly because of Kinn. And they act all lovey dovey super quick, and then it doesn't go deeper from there. Also, most of their shared intimacy happened when Porsche was drunk or drugged, and it takes a super long time before they actually do anything when he is sober.
Also, I liked the comedy and laughed quite a few times, but the balance between the comedy and the drama was not handled well. Like, no, I don't want to see Porsche farting on Kinn under the cover in between two scenes of Pete getting molested.
I said I liked porsche, but it's so annoying how he did almost nothing right. He just got fooled and manipulated throughout the whole drama.
One thing that is very personal, but there were litterally no women in that drama. Yok and Porsche's mother were there I guess but it was so quick and they had no impact on the plot. I'm sure I could time how many minutes we see a woman on screen and it'd be not more than 10 minutes out of 14 hours. I know it's a BL so it's normal for women to have less importance but at that point it was just ridiculous.
And to finish, the f is that ending?? Do they expect us to be happy for them, when Kohn manipulated them all the way, and yet they still believed him in the end and accepted the offer to become head of the minor family?? When they showed us porsche's memory of his parent's death, it showed that Kohn was standing and Gun was sitting, which fits gun's version of the story. So in the end, gun was right? So Porsche has been manipulated all the way till the end, although he said his dream would be to have a bar at the beach and we've seen him trying to get away from the family across the whole drama, and yet they expect us to consider this a happy ending? I know we could say it's not a happy ending, but they handled it as if it was.
To conclude, I don't think I wasted my time cuz it was overall pretty fun to watch but still I was left bored and frustrated most of the time.

Incredible
For me, the wait was totally worth it.Kinnporshe is the type of show that some people are going to love others are going to hate. I personally love it. The cast is on point, and the acting is really good. Even though some things done in the show are not that necessary it doesn't affect the show itself. It is essential to know that most relationships in Kinnporshe are a little or very toxic. You can't watch this series and expect the healthiest relationships.
The plot was very interesting and honestly, I only completely understood who did what to who in the last episode. Which is very good for a mafia show, they were predictable on some points but still the ending leaves you stunned.
Can't wait for more coming from them.

above all, the PERFECT CASTING*
*especially for the main leadsHello, it's my first review for a BL drama, I hope you love it!
It will be quick in titles but long in descriptions since I'd like to refer to many things.
As a sum of my review; I think this series/drama will be a lead/guide for many other dramas. However, there are things that need to be changed/improved asap either. Here it's why:
+Great example for its production, character developments and casting (especially)
-But needs help with story details, character representations and scenario stages
*Still one of the bests of this year, so enjoy the show, honey!
+Character-ing
Well, I cannot say I'm so familiar and advanced-experienced with BL dramas but actually, real-life BL stories are not far away to me. (it as natural happens around us.) As far as I observe and believe, this is love above all; and the one harder to find, precious to keep. That's why I love how each character is unique/built differently--till the point they are and during the process we watched. In simple words, It's awesome that each one has changed, developed and the story base didn't fail while introducing them to us, unlike the other dramas putting labels like features-making leads noticeable for their sexual choices.
I always appreciate the diversity of couples in a drama when they are built as nicely as the lead couple.
Well, I actually love all, even though I personally had some doubtful thoughts about each, judged and questioned at certain points but it's understandable when you see them as the representation of types of relationships and the drama shows how personalities differ the relation, not sexes/genders.
Disappointingly, the development of the character Kinn wasn't enough or not shown enough; neither was their relationship with Porsche. It developed for Porsche, for his side, his character and his way. Not gonna give spoilers but trust issues are essential for every relationship, regardless of sexes and sexual relations; how deep it can go and how confusing/compelling it might lead the relationship is the deal for a drama, and I wanted to see this dilemma in the lead couple, how Porsche handles his first boyfriend and how they struggle but get over the trust issue.
+As the topic goes for the Story...
Just, in the beginning, I'd like to say that making a drama full of BL romance doesn't make it 'a great example of how homosexuality should be presented'. As we portray this in its own prepared environment, it will still be seen as alien, different, and far to the people-community-society. Not because we need the approval of all, but we in fact need to convey some essentials to the next generations who are risen by screens not parents anymore. And serving a BL lead couple within an environment where everyone is into far-less same relation, not helping. We should have seen some women characters or better -sisters of the characters, regardless of their sexual orientations, some heterosexual couples as friends or family quarters not just as parents. But well I think this is a common approach for BLs, yet this drama had great potential for this variety of relations and it would have been awesome.
As the continuation of the lead couple development conversation 1 paragraph above, additionally what I've mentioned there and as a reference to the right above paragraph about how we should portray this topic for the next generations; the drama should have been expressed with less sexuality then it tended to be seen. Not to say decreasing it, nope, if the director wants; just increase it; doesn't matter. But it should've been careful about how the sexual climaxes are built within the scenario. It got better in the last episodes when it's served with the action-based stages but still... It's understandable that characters are shaping their relations first with sexual tension when you think how hard it might be to find the right one/love for you as for many aspects in a community like that (even though it portrayed as it's like a piece of cake...)
-wanna add something real quick: for all characters in the drama, it's like they are all open to homosexual relationships since you know it's a BL drama and you expect that but actually if you look objectively, they are just how they should be, they found love first-then the gender comes... an important but hard to achieve tiny fine detail
+After story-sexuality is mentioned, the Production and Cast&Acting...
I guess this is the best part!
I mean this is why I watched actually.
The production with its cinematography, scenes, clothes, details, setting, colours, casting... just awesome, felt advanced-professional lead-high quality; a great example!
Not even a scene was dumb, despite the hard scenes like action and sex.
Last but not least... acting.
I'm speechless.
How perfect each actor suits their characters and how good they performed...
You can truly feel them, understand and question.
Especially the chemistry they all have... You know in some dramas you feel -the friend group's- their energy and that's what makes you closer with the drama as if you're there or you know them personally. If the acting wasn't good that and the chemistry I felt in the drama among them and between the actors and their characters, I don't think I'd keep up with that storyline.
And even if I decided to watch again in the future, as if I miss let's say, I'd do that just for the perfect acting. And of course, I'm planning to watch the other dramas of the actors.asap.
Enjoy the show!

Worth watching <3
I love it! One of the best series I've watched. I tent to get bored while watching something and then I skip some parts, but here I was really invested in the story. The actors did a great job in portraying their roles. Each love story was interesting in their own way. I also really liked the comedy that was added in the series. Even though it's a series about mafia and there's a lot of action, a lot of scenes made me laugh (especially Thankun). If you thinking about watching it I highly recommend. <3Was this review helpful to you?

It's entertaining, but looks like a fanfiction.
You know I remember when the first teasers started to get out, around December 2020, it was almost 1 year and a half to be released and it took me months to finish because it was so... weird. The main storyline around the end started to look so confusing like they tried so hard to make a plot twist that end up being pathetic. My personal opinion is that VegasPeat could have been bigger, their story was so interesting but was very hushed, in 3 episodes everything happened, just seemed off. And talking about VegasPeat I can't help but pinpoint that Bible and Build acting most of the time were better than Mile and Apo, especially Mile's.
But I have to say, Be On Cloud did an amazing job at the promotion, the cast is very attractive as a whole and that helped, the absorb time of teasers and pré release promotion and now the KinnPorsche World Tour makes it so fun being in this as a fandom. So yeah I can easily tell 3 thai BLs from the last 2 years that's better than Kinnporsche, but none of them is as fun to follow as a fandom as Kinnporsche is.

Problematic yet impossible not to like (?)
Okay, this series is very well produced, their acting is flawless, the soundtrack is amazing (Jeff Satur did the best job), the story is appealing, the characters are absurdly hot. I know that a story that happens in the mafia is not supposed to be all flowers and cute romance, but the couples are WAY too toxic with each other. They hurt each other phisically and emotionally in all ways possible. ALL WAYS. Most characters suck, meaning they are complete manipulative assholes with everyone and the rest are very naïve and suffer a lot. But somehow, even though you know it's all wrong, you can't stop watching it. At least this was my experience, because I've seen a lot of people romanticizing all that problematic shit but let's get to the point: I recommend it for those who can understand that some things are very, very wrong in this show, but can appreciate the rest which is handsome gays, fighting scenes, good romantic scenes (ok, I mean sex), plot twists, guns (ok, I mean sex) and Jeff Satur (and I mean his voice and his hotness). Was this review helpful to you?

I'm on your side
First BL i watch and i think the bar got to high. I love it. I was completely obssesed with them from the end of episode 1 and i almost spoiled myself on social media because i really wanted to know what was going to happened and that only happened to me with "Alchemy of souls" (I got spoiler so hard on this one lol my own fault)Kinn and Porsche have beyond this world chemistry since the first minute when Porsche takes Kinn's watch and Kinn is done for. After Vegas tried to kiss him in that bathroom we got one of the hottest and best scenes ever when their relationship really started. As usual when the main leads got together the tension between them dissapeared and could make the drama drag a little. That doesn't happen here because, besides the main story full of plot twist, we got something in the last 3 episodes that got me in a chokehold: Vegas and Pete relationship.
I'm still processing everything about them. I'm not sure how to really feel. At the end they seems to be ok together and of course their sex scene is incredible hot but... is Pete really mentally ok for this? it could be stockholm's syndrome, Vegas tortured him during days and got him prisioner. Before being able to escape, he seems to regret everything that happened between them. He even wants to die.
If i could really try to make a point for a happy ending with them, maybe Pete was confused with his feelings and seems to regret everything because, why are you wanna be with someone who torture you? At the end, he decides that he loves him no matter what so he is not going to think about it anymore, it is what it is. Vegas also seems to understand everything he did wrong when he tell him that he can go if he wants to. So idk i think i will keep thinking about this for a while, it was that intense.
Tankhun could be crazy but i was cheering him up when he was the only one trusting Porsche when Tawan try to make him the mole and after when he knew something was happening to Pete. In both this times he seems the only sane one tbh.
Another great point? The main song is sooo beautiful and the moments we hear it were so well chosen. I already got it on my playlist.
So after all this why i don't give it a 10? Well, i try to be very picky with my 10. Everything have to be tight in terms of plot, acting, development and romance to give it a 10. In this case there was some things that makes me takes that half a point:
-The acting was great overall (Special mention to Bible Wichapas who was perfect on his portraying of Vegas, sooo good) but some was a little bad so i couldn't get in that part of the story.
-In the last episodes, Porsche calling Vegas for help and trusting him more than Kinn pissed me off. Specially because it happened after Kinn ask him for a fresh start without secrets. I found it out of
character tbh.
-I didn't got hook up in the first episode, the end of the first episode makes me keep watching because the chemistry but i wasn't so sure about the rest. It pick up after through, but all my 10s i
was done for in the first episode minute 1 lol.
overall, it was a fantastic and thrilling ride and i recommend this drama to everyone. I'm going to miss them a lot ♥♥♥
