"Your voice calls to my heart"

Let me briefly explain about ML/FL....

Our Male lead is a good cook, doctor, musician, voice artist…YEP an all in one ??
& Our female lead is a university student who does music for the historical genre. Her dream is to collaborate with her favorite voice dubbing artist our Male lead

♡ Here's the review: (will update after watching every episode)
What you will get to see in this drama? Here ?

✅️ Male lead is simply awesome, He is a walking green flag <3 introvert & mature guy!! I'm falling in love with him more & more in each & every episode

✅️ He is not trying to hide his feelings for female lead, even though he is a introvert he is trying his best to start a conversation with female lead and creating a comfortable space in between them.

✅️ Female lead is the cutest ? her acting is soo reliastic, I never felt cringe about her acting/attitude.

✅️ Both the main characters are very well written and also the environment of this drama is soo positive, FL has a great/awesome family and ML has a awesome friends/fam

✅️ Second lead couple are the cutest

✅️ no rival no jealousy ❤️

✅️ Healthy Communication in between them!! i really really loved how pure their communication is!! she is telling him how exactly she is feeling about something and he was showing his pure intentions, its soo cute soo guys ? Sweetness overload..now i can't sleep ?

This is absolutely my type of romcom ❤️❤️❤️

What you don't get from this drama

❌️ cold male lead vs Attitude Female lead

❌️ Third wheel

❌️ Annoying Characters to rise our blood pressure

Maybe some of you will hate me for talking like this ,but still ..... I never able to watch a cdrama with this much of love!! Either They will drag the story or the couples have unrealistic miscommunication in between them!! But oh my god believe me guys this is not one of them!!

And the harsh truth is I started watching this drama becoz of FL (loved her in yesterday once more movie){becoz most of them r started this becoz of ML} but rn I'm falling in love with our ML, don't misunderstood my words!! I dont like him Just becoz he is a nice guy, he was literally showing our FL how much he values her!! From asking her permission if she is comfortable in adding him to her we chat to asking her if he can give her his mobile number!! DAMN THE RESPECT HE IS GIVING HER, I'M FALLING FOR THAT ...

Just completed the series guys!! I'm in tears ? how could everything is soo perfect here?!!? story/acting/supporting characters/osts!! everything is just soo perfect & beautiful to me!! THIS IS MY FAV DRAMA OF 2023 ?? THANKYOU Qiang & Sheng for making my evngs beautiful ? now tell me what should I do ?? I don't even know why I am crying!! is it because this is ended ? or the ending is soo beautiful, I miss you sm everyone ? thankyou for making me feel like that ?

He is giving her butterflies ? she is giving him butterflies ? & they both r making me experience a whole zoo ??

A Serenade of Love and Delicious Foods

In a landscape where dramas are often dominated by convoluted plots and intense conflicts, Love Me, Love My Voice(很想很想你) stands out as a breath of fresh air.

Love Me, Love My Voice narrates the story of Mo Qingcheng and Gu Sheng, who encounter each other online accidentally and gradually get to know and fell in love with each other. The beauty of the drama lies in its simplicity. The drama refrains from bombarding the audience with exaggerated conflicts or confusing plotlines, opting instead for a narrative that revolves around the genuine connection between two individuals and delicious foods!!

What sets this drama apart is its realism - the drama narrative focuses on the gradual deepening of the relationship and connection between the main leads: love, career and family. There is no antagonist in the drama, instead the characters has a normal life, celebrate each other's successes, and navigate the complexities of their lives with a sense of unity and togetherness that is both heartening and rare in the drama realm.

The side characters in the drama are also all very lovely! The interactions between the main character and side characters are also woven together beautifully, each individual character arcs into the broader tapestry of the story, allowing each side character to contribute uniquely to the overall narrative. Not to forget, the drama also showcases a lot of delicious food and cooking. The inclusion of delicious food and cooking scenes adds a sensory delight to the storytelling, viewers are treated to a visual feast of mouthwatering dishes! (you definitely cannot watch in an empty stomach!)

Tan Jianci and Zhou Ye is the perfect choice for Mo Qingcheng and Gu Sheng. They have a great rapport and they look gorgeous and fitting together and deliver many squeal-worthy moments. They manages to portray a couple deeply in love through their micro expressions. Although some might complain that the romance is a slow-burn, but it is justified, as it is just the beginning of their relationship, they are still getting to know each other.

The cinematography of Love Me, Love My Voice also deserves special mention. The visual aesthetics are both vibrant and soothing, mirroring the overall tone of the drama. The scenic shots of the bustling city juxtaposed with the serene moments between the main leads create a visually pleasing experience that complements the narrative beautifully. In addition, Love Me, Love My Voice also has a very exquisite and beautiful outfit. Gu Sheng’s outfit are 新中式穿搭, a modern-chinese traditional style. The outfits are not only beautiful, but it also accentuates Gu Sheng’s love towards the Chinese culture.

Another notable mention the OSTs. The drama has an array of OSTs that complements the narrative perfectly. Each OSTs are carefully created with heartfelt lyrics and also thoughtfully placed, to enhance the mood of every scene! The OSTs resonate with the themes of love, passion, and more, creating an immersive experience that transcends the screen and lingers in the hearts of the viewers. Not to mention, Tan Jianci’s voice are so soothing and fitting to every song he sings.

Overall, Love Me Love My Voice delivers a heartwarming and soothing narrative, offering audiences a respite from the typical dramatic rollercoaster genre. A must watch if you love a simple but heartwarming drama!!

When food is their love language

Every ep made me wonder why is watching a couple talking, cooking and just eating together so wholesome to watch. Like for 33 long episodes? with "no real plot". This is exactly the reason we liked it.

I still request everybody to not watch this drama at midnight with no food in your fridge, becoz you'll be dead-ass hungry and no Mo Qingcheng is coming to cook for you. Damn the way all they did was cook, eat, sing, kiss, cook, eat and EAT again xD.

Love me, love my voice is an all cute fluffy drama with your typical shy FL and perfect ML (that you can't help but fall for). Like how was this boy dubbing for popular dramas, a cardiac surgeon, an amazing cook (he even knew origin and history of those dishes), patient enough to let her get adapted to him... and we actually got no bitchy SFL, no love triangle, an all healthy relationship instead with all these green flag supporting characters... Are you kidding me? This is so unrealistic hahaha but gotta agree we love some simplistic romances like this once in a while.

Their romance was sort of slow burn in the beginning which might have tested some people's patience (was okay to me), otherwise you always got that skip button ;)... Zhou Ye also acted satisfactory for the shy, cute FL and gladly did not cross that cringe level. But opinions might differ a lot for these two things.

They actually had several routes to spice up and add drama like the ML is almost a celebrity meanwhile FL is still a newbie in the field but its quite nice that they sticked to this easy-going path. They didn't fail in serving this concept to us in the right way at least.

Coming to Tan Jianci's sexy voice now *coughs* I mean his dubbing and OSTs... Playing the role of a dubbing actor, TCJ himself dubbed all his scenes and sang his songs too (what a blessing for us). From the stunning OST list, I loved these the most! —

• 与君归 (Return With You) - by Tan Jianci and Bu Cai
• 万骨催沙 (Ten Thousand Bones Push Sand) - by Tan Jianci
(This guy is going places, like his acting, charisma as of getting into a character and even voice... Very talented indeed)

• 盛世之疆 (Realm of Prosperity) - by Xian Zi, Li Chang chao, HITA, Xiao'ai Dema, Alex, Lie Tian ....( in every drama there's a song which is just my type of song, this is it )

• 青梅引 (Wintersweet) - by Le Xiaotao (calm, dreamy, so pleasant, love it)
• Slowly - by yihuik (this was the theme song for the main cp and damnnn why is her voice that sweet)

So overall Love me, love my voice is a lovable, sweet drama with all positivity and feel good vibes... And if you're looking for something similar to Hidden Love or Forever and Ever, this is the one for you.

Zero Plot, Just Cooking and Singing

Let’s be honest, there is no plot to this 32 episode series. Guy meets girl. They fall in love. They SLOWLY get to their first kiss. Everyone stares at them with adoration. They stare at each other. The end.

This is more of a - let’s just show a lot of good Chinese culture. Chinese dishes, Chinese clothes, Chinese music, Chinese tourist attractions. Bring in some good looking people, have them eat together and make it 32 hours.

This huge cast of actors did absolutely NOTHING. How much teasing can they give the main couple? How long must the FL act 12 and shy every single time she’s with her boyfriend? What about the side couples? They literally moved slower than a grandpa with broken hips. All the side couples got together in the last 15 mins. They have the main couple way way way too much screen time doing nothing but act cute. I wouldn’t mind if they actually showed some sort of character growth or storyline. If they made it just 12-16 episodes, it would’ve been short and sweet. But y’all.. 32 episodes?! What’s crazier is that I actually made it to the end. I mostly skipped by episode 25.

Cotton Candy Sweet Without Any Substance or Intrigue

There was zero drama or conflict in this fluff fluff drama which inadvertently made it tremendous boring. The characters were not complex or interesting at all. They were all two dimensional. The ML was a goody with all the skills in the world and no sense of tiredness. The FL was the same type we all always get but without any tragic background. All the other side characters weren't interesting to pay attention too. The chemistry between the leads was very flat. Jian Ci was giving his all to be a green flag boyfriend but even then, it was just boring.

It was also incredibly stupid to give so much attributes to one character (the ML) such as Doctor, Chef, Voice Actor, Singer. IDK what else. He is probably a magician or magical beings as well considering he never gets tired. Meanwhile the FL has only two things going for her composing singer and plays instruments. Most of the time, she is just awestruck by him. There weren't any real relationship conversations or discussions. It was all blank stares and pretending to have chemistry.

Best 2023 feel good drama. Sweet & innocent romance with singing, travel, food and friendship.

It’s rare to find a drama like this. This drama is perfect if you are struggling with stress and difficulties in life and need something to warm your heart and put a big smile on your face at the end of your day. Every single episode contains an overflow of sugary romance with zero toxicity, no conflicts, no misunderstandings, no stupid love triangles, no angst, no break ups. The romance is so good you will definitely feel like a third wheel while watching.

The drama is about the daily lives of the main leads and their friends and work colleagues. There is no unnecessary drama or side stories that you don’t care about. Male lead is a doctor (but we don’t see much of his job), and a voice actor (which is the main focus of his character), he is also an amazing cook (which he shows us often with amazing recipes) and total green flag boyfriend. Female lead is a university student who composes music in her spare time. They fall in love with each other's voices and personality first instead of their physical looks.

POSITIVE:
- Every episode makes you smile like a teenager in love for the first time.
- Sizzling chemistry between the leads. Their eye contact is enough to ship them instantly.
- Stage performances with singing and acting that are absolutely phenomenal and feel like you are watching a live concert.
- Fantastic travel episodes that feel like an awesome variety show/video blog.
- Many cooking scenes with delicious food.
- Every episode you are immersed in the story, like you are living with the characters and are part of their fun daily lives.
- Teasing, hilarious and supportive group of friends with very natural and organic interactions.
- Unique pairing: introverted male lead with a shy female lead.
- Fluffy romance that is all about innocence and first love.
- Story is about the main leads. There are no unnecessary side plots about side characters that ain’t nobody cares about.
- No stupid drama, no misunderstandings, no breakups, no annoying characters that try to break apart the main leads.
- Second couple is just as adorable and the second male lead and brings in all the comedy.
- Main leads fall in love with each other’s voices first rather than physical appearance.
- 100% green flag male and female lead.

NEGATIVE:
- Diabetes alert. The drama is so sweet you might get a sugar overload.
- Hungry alert. The characters are always cooking or eating food so you must bring snacks in order to survive watching.
P.S. The two points above are obviously jokes. I couldn’t find a single negative thing about this drama!

OST:
The music in this drama deserves special attention as it’s one of the most heartwarming and beautiful I’ve ever heard.

OVERALL:
If you want to see an innocent, fluffy romance and healthy relationships with travel, music, food and adorable friendship groups AND If you need a drama to make you smile and warm your heart after a stressful day, WATCH THIS DRAMA.

Meh-drama: Lackluster Plots, One-Dimensional Characters, and a Blatant Maturity Gap

This entire drama was such a meh, and I definitely have lots of complaints about it. First of all, literally nothing happens for the whole duration of the drama, yeah it has fluff (cringe fluff) but its kinda boring seeing the same thing happen three times. The main CP have a very large maturity gap, it gives 19 and 30 yr old, for the most part its just blush blush tee hee I've never been in a relationship before but it's very noticeable and I kinda really got sick of it really quickly. The characters are also very 1D and lack depth, MQC's only personality traits are doctor, chef and voice dubber and it's all based of their careers. MQC is a very unrealistic character who is magically good at everything and there are no challenged whatsoever in the relationship. The 2nd and 3rd Couple were also very forgettable and it kind got to the point where I really just did not care about them. I watched this whole drama on 1.5x speed, and I only finished it because I am a big fan of TJC. I do not recommend this to even people that like romance and fluffy, overall I rate it a 5/10.

Love Food & My Voice

Had previously seen TJC in two detective type dramas so wanted a totally different genre for him. This fit the bill. This drama I always saved until the end of my drama watching days because it was all fluff and easy on the brain. It was sugar and a bit of spice in the dishes and just about everything nice. You've got to love food and my voice here.

Pros: I liked the overall progression of the show and it had a cute premise. The chemistry between the ML and FL was there as were the other two couples. All of the side characters were great support systems for our leads. Your mouth watered when there was a recipe created in front of you like you were at a restaurant. Also a view into the dubbing actors circle was nice. How they had real well paying jobs they loved and then this hidden hobby where they were known by millions through their voices alone but many never disclosed who they were like the leads. ML was a doctor but they never delved much into his real job not to overwhelm the audience but he really was the Jack of all Trades; doctor, voice actor, singer, musician, chef, etc. out of the two he was the nurturer and the one taking on basically most of the responsibilities of the relationship.

The series didn't really have a plot going; it was just the daily lives of voice dubbers and college students who meet and live their lives as romance blossoms. The OSTs and surroundings especially when they took trips were quite beautiful. Also funny that for two "virgins" the leads could kiss quite well; huge plus for the audience!

Cons: While everything was cute and whatnot, after a while I had a bit of a problem with the FL; for a 22 year old young woman (and I get she was an introvert), she acted maybe 10. She barely spoke two words to him or others even when they were very serious with each other. Even he questioned her on why her response to him was just "mhmm". She grew up sheltered and kind of expected people to do things for her because of that. Also, did the actress's stylist hate her? What was up with all of that granny wear? Even the for photos wedding dress; it boggled my mind how anyone would dress a 22 year old--by that time 24 as this happened after the time jump--that old and matronly like she was a ghost from the 1960s. It took me a solid week to realize that her wedding photo shoes were identical to my primary care physician’s and the woman is in her 70s! Plus she’s worn them for at least 3 decades! No young 20 something year old should be seen in that! Yes, she liked old and traditional but that was her "Sheng Sheng Man" persona or was supposed to be. Even after a time jump of 2 years it was like she was light years behind virtually everyone else. There was no evolution of her character at all. All she did was smile and eat. I understand that's how she was in the book too but they could have made her come out of her shell a bit (not asking for a massive change here) and act like a grown up as well as dress her age.

I also wish couple number two was less awkward for so damn long and we didn't even officially see them get together because that happened in the 2 year time jump at the end. Couple number 3 should have gotten together sooner; felt rushed. Also, though I'm personally an extrovert, I felt the friends of the ML were a bit too nosy and loud about the leads especially knowing how shy and awkward the FL was. They could have toned that down a bit; while I enjoy a great crowd, laughs, dirty jokes, and harmless ball busting, when there's an extremely shy person at the center of said jokes, it would make me feel slightly uncomfortable too and I'd probably shove the loud people into another room or out the door altogether lol.

Would I recommend it? Despite the negatives, this is a sweet and fluffy drama to watch when you don't need anything heavy, so yes I would.

It's good, but I dont recommend it if you don't like cheesy romance

I haven't written a drama review in a really long time, and after watching this I just had to review it because there were. couple points.. that made me side eye.

I did watch all the episodes, with express so I dont recommend paying $6 to watch the rest lol its quite boring.

1. I feel like the characters got together too quick... like there wasn't much story buid up. It was so vague that I accidentally skipped from ep 5 to ep 9 without even noticing. When I went to rewatch the episodes, it wasn't even much, if anything it was quite weird. Like ok everyone else was there but why are you inviting a random girl you just met in person to your house and aksing her to be your girlfriend in. your kitchen.

++ they met in ep 4 got together ep 5-6 ;; like this is a 33 ep drama U CANNOT BE SERIOUS.

2. The overly cheesy romance. I, as a drama watcher I do love my occassional romance and cute little couples, but my god this couple needs to calm down. They are literally the definition of the couple in the friend group that you make a meeting about about the pda. It's not even the r rated PDA its just so mushy and gooshy that its like... "pls stop" its like the writers couldn't give enough story plot so they just kept adding plot to the romance but with like cringey words.

3. the physical touch. it could just be my own personal preference, but i did not like how this guy always like tucked her hair.. like the way he did it was so *shudders* again personal opinion lol

4. THE GREEN SCREEN. the hot air balloon scene was soooo funny because it was sooo badly taken and such a bad idea. it literally looked like one of those ancient chinese paintings that my family has in our basement.

5. i wish they focused more on the other couples earlier on the drama too, like they started them like ep 29-33 and it was so rushed it was horrible

-- i think that's all my points for now, but i highly recommend don't watch it if u cringe at couples gushing for 21 episodes LMAO

Beware Tooth Decay, Brain Rot and Utter Boredom

Full disclosure. I started this because Tan Jian Ci plays the ML. I love his music, highly enjoyed his role in Under The Skin and hoped this would be just as good, if completely different. This drama severely disappointed.

Nothing happens in this drama, and that would've been okay if the main couple had had chemistry. But they don't. Literally NONE. I can't blame Tan Jian Ci. His portrayal of the perfect, doting boyfriend--while completely unrealistic--was well acted. The FL's part was horribly written. Rarely have I seen such a cardboard-cutout character. A rutabaga would've had more personality than her character. There is no depth. For the first part of the show, she can barely talk to the ML, she is literally speechless. Her 'hmm' responses drove me crazy. The main leads have exactly one thing in common--using their voice to create and entertain--and they never actually start and maintain a conversation based on that topic...or any other. They don't click, they don't mesh. She loves his voice. He loves her...I honestly don't know what he loves about her.

The OST is beautiful and the drama is well filmed, but the story lacks just about everything needed to make it good. I hope Tan Jian Ci is able to star in another modern, romance style drama at some point. One with better writing and co-lead chemistry.

Romance,Food,Music,Voice Acting and Beautiful Scenery

The show is just so relaxing and nice with such beautiful songs and scenery and moments and cooking recipes. All of this things are shown just too brilliantly. Before this show my fav show was hidden love and i thought i would not get any such shows for a long time but just by the end of the year i found another one .It is such a show that i believe even if u watch many a times you would feel relaxed and calm after watching it and fall more in love with it. I enjoyed this show so much that i signed up at mydramalist just to give it a 10 star rating.
It has everything i want to see in a show -
It has no complicated relations
No Misunderstandings
No Rivalry
No love triangle
No hate shown by fans or other people towards ML AND FL
It feels like a breath of fresh air to watch when we are too stressed
It has such amazing voice acting that i tend to get immersed in listening to it
It show some detailed recipes and while watching ML cook i tend to start feeling hungry

A super fluffy drama to watch

This drama is the epitome of first love, how someone that never dated before in their life found their true love.
The awkwardness, the flow of getting to know each other, they potrayed them very well.
Every single episode got me giggling and kicking my feet cause its so easy going.
Just sweetness overload with no rival, no drama, just pure first love.
Even if we focus on the side character, all of them worked really well together.
EVERY CHARACTER in this drama is remarkable !!!

Some might find the storyline is too simple but that just what i love about them.
Am I gonna rewatch them? Yes absolutely!
For those that looking for more dynamic drama with tons of rivalry, drama and plot twist, this drama is not for you.
But for those who wanted a super chill, cute, sweet and fluffy drama that can make you giggle like a highschool girl, this drama is for you!
I wish everyone would give this drama a chance cause its really worth to try so that you can have the same experience as me watching them. Solid 10/10 !!
