A peaceful watch

this romance drama was such a nice change from the usual love triangle, crazy psycho second female lead, male lead playing hard to get for like 40 episodes. best of all there was no second lead syndrome ?️ It was paced decently although I do feel like 33 episodes was kinda excessive but it showed their growth in their relationship.
As well as the storyline and music and atmosphere of the performances were also amazing. overall this drama was definitely a nice watch and the lack of negative vibes and the positive characters was amazing.
I do feel like it was lacking in depth however as they got into a relationship so fast and then it just kinda ehh. maybe It’s because I’m more of a enemies to lovers type person but ?. nevertheless it was a pleasant watch

A healing sweet beautiful drama with no drama or villains

The drama is beautiful its mainly about a love so sweet that you can probably see the honey dripping from the ML 's eyes. I watched because of Zhou ye the FL and ended up falling head over heels for ML Tan Jianci' s voice, acting and charms. He portraied his character to perfection I have no complaints about him! The whole acting crew were so good to be very honest you'd just end up loving every single character in the drama. All of them are so cute, bubbly and passionate people you'd wish you had as friends as well. The whole representation of dubbing and ancient style singing was very well done as well I loved the osts, the costumes and I noticed how Zhou ye's character and other casts mostly wore chinese traditional modern style they were so beautiful. The drama also talked and showed a lot of food! So be ready to feel hungry every time I think I gained 2-3 kg just from watching and givining in to the urges to eat as well ?. The production of the drama is also very well done no complaints about it! The quality was so great!. It just the drama got a little hmm boring at the last episodes? Of course this is coming from me I'm not sure about others but I'm the type of person who doesn't like too much sweetness ? and we got quite the amount of it you see from the start maybe because I'm used to the normal dramas in which the Lead Cp have like an ep or two being lovey dovey before a storm comes and in here nothing happened so it felt stretched. An other complaint of mine is that I felt that the story is heavily focused on the ML. I get how dreamy and tbh very overly perfect he is but it feels too much sometimes I feel tired like even those a bit toxic ML from dramas raised our expectations already you neednt do this it's too muchhh we still need to get married u know!? I also felt like the FL wasn't given a deeper character like all we know is she's a beautiful talented composer but we saw her only compose 1 song or 2. She planned only once. She was always like a sidekick to the ML helping him in the kitchen or tagging along with him yet she was described as a passionate person... It kind of doesn't feel like it her friends from the studio appeared more passionate than her especially the English teacher guagua and zoudiao as well. I was a little disappointed in that aspect I felt like they could've made her match the ML just a little bit more. She seemed very carefree while the ML was both busy passionate hardworking and also still being a caring boyfriend and friend. But again I guess the drama had a hidden story in which the FL is someone who saved a nation in her past life and now is blessed and rewarded with a great family where she's supported, adored and spoiled and a perfect bf and then husband with a great circle of friends and a smooth sailing future.
In conclusion, a beautiful healing drama with too much perfection that might either bore you or give you diabetes with beautiful osts and a great cast.

Just some thoughts

It was really good and very enjoyable and relaxing to watch. All the songs were superb! It really got me into ancient chinese style music. I just wish that they showed us more but maybe that is also an indication that this series was amazing.

To go more indept about the characters. This series reaaly did a great job in including all of the side characters and showing off their charms. It was very fun to see all the interactions between them (romances and friendships).

The songs were some of my favorite parts in the episodes. I loved how we got to listens to the entire song and not just a small part. I could really just relax in those moments.

The plot was very interesting because it was not all romance and the charcters also had individual dilemma's that they had to sort out. The ckooking parts were in my opinion also a good add on.

Started great but ended on a dull note

I loved this and rolled my eyes in disappointment at the same time.

I'll call the female lead as sheng and male lead as Qiang for review purposes.

Let's talk about the positives first:
- Interesting portrayal of voice actors and musicians
This is the first drama I've seen that focused on voice actors and contemporary-traditional musicians and I quite enjoyed it. I liked how serious they were about their work and the soundtrack was also fun to listen to.
- The casting of the male actors were great
Since the male actors were playing as voice actors, i was curious to hear their voices and I must say that I wasn't disappointed. Their voices were great and felt natural.
- Lighthearted and cute plot with no drama
I liked that the plot didn't have major drama. It was perfect as a palate cleanser from watching serious dramas. I was waiting for the conflict but nothing major happened which I was glad to see
- Fun supportive cast
The supporting cast were fun to watch. They didn't have deep character stories but they just added light humor and it was nice to see non toxic characters on screen.
- Costumes were on point
I loved how they incorporated fusion chinese attire for the musician characters. It was refreshing to see and I really wanted to buy them. It gave a unique edge and feel to the whole drama. Kudos to the costume team !

Now let's talk about the negatives:
- Can we please not make the female lead a toddler?
This has been my complaint with age gap romances for a long time: A childish and "very cute" female lead. Why is she talking like a sloth and why are her gestures like a child ? (Example: her cup holding and eating everything using two hands). She's 22 for God's sakes and is an adult. I had to skip forward whenever she talked in the earlier episodes since she took a long time to say one sentence.
- How can a perfect man like Qiang exist ?
I get that they wanted to show Qiang as "perfect" but isn't this too much ? I know how busy doctors are and him being an avid cook and a top voice actor on top of it didn't make sense. He also has a perfect temperament and has a flawless personality. It just didn't feel realistic and made him feel like a robot. I wanted to see some flaws or character growth but it didn't happen.
- The second couple could've been written better
I personally didn't like the casting for Xiaoning. I could understand the casting choice for Junmei since he is supposed to look wild and mature but the second couple didn't match well. They looked more like siblings than a potential couple. I couldn't feel the chemistry and their relationship was even more of a slow burn than the main couple.
- Did they get paid by China tourism to do an ad?
I could understand them going on a trip once but this drama had too much vacation scenes. They went on three group vacations in this drama and honestly I was bored most of the time during their vacation. The shots looked great and story wise I was bored.
-The second half just fell off
I personally wish they could've ended this in 24 episodes. I knew it was a chill and relaxed drama but there was literally nothing happening in the story. I just skipped most of the second half since nothing exciting was happening.

Overall:
A great watch if you want something sweet and fluffy but don't expect it to be great with an exciting plot. 7.5/10.

An Endearing Watch!

What a cute and lovely pair between Sheng Sheng and Mo Qing Cheng! It's a light and easy watch as there aren't any crazy plots included. The characters in this film are lovable humans and they demonstrate cheerful friendship at work, study, and romance altogether! It's a love story between two characters who fell in love with each other's voices at first listen.

And throughout, they also share their love of food. Both characters are talented in making their dishes and taking care of one another in their unique ways. They share recipes and bond over this aspect. He enjoys cooking and she enjoys eating. The best part of this drama is that there is no miscommunication. We get to witness two very mature people treat their love with sincerity and honesty.

A great watch with a pretty and romantic soundtrack!

Stress free drama but a little boring

I like the ML and FL but it gets a little dragged. 24 episodes would have been great. I like the other couples as well especially Feng and doudou. The entire perfect voice studio cast are funny and interesting. The OST is one of the amazing things about this drama. ML is too perfect for my liking he doesn’t even have a single flaw it makes it a Lucile too unrealistic.FL is too sweet and this is my first time watching her and I will watch more of her work. Talks really well about voice actors too.

Overall a nice stress free drama for binge watching with not much story line

Not for everyone

Let me start with saying that this drama is obviously not for everyone. Why?

First of all, it has no plot. All they showcase here is the love relationship, by the way only of the main couple; unfortunately we haven't seen so much of the second one, and only a bit of the third. This is something that I too disliked.
So I understand lots of users who said that it's a useless drama. However, from someone who loves this romance no-plot thing, let me tell you why we like watching it: it's easy. It's an easy getaway from real life, from a boring real life, and all we want to do is watch some people fall in love. No love triangles, no enemies, no adversities... Just pure love. And also a mature relationship!

Have you ever had one of those days when you get home from school/university/work and you just want to relax? Well, some of us prefer action, horror or fantasy movies or whatsoever – others prefer a no-plot romance. We just need to sit down with our snacks, and that is all. No braincells, no anxiety, no hatred for some characters that can't keep their toxic love for themselves... It's easy.

This is why I gave it an 8 for the story. Certainly not because of the plot ('cause there is none). I honestly think there should be more dramas like this one.

As for everything else, I don't think I need to explain. I gave an 8.5 for the acting, because it genuinely could've been better but also worse. I enjoyed it, sure, but it wasn't much. By the way, Hou Wen Yuan (Zhou Zheng/Juemei Shayi) deserves more recognition: bro is such a great actor! And he's handsome too! I hope to see him more in the future.

Well, regarding music I have nothing to say. As a musician myself, these soundtracks are perfect for the drama and the feelings portrayed. I loved «Return With You», and whatever song they performed altogether during the pageantry event – when Qiang Qingci finally says goodbye to the stage.

At the end, I gave an overrall of 8.5 with a rewatch value of 8 because I would rewatch it. That's it. Everyone has different opinions, as I could see from the comments, so don't come at me lol. I just think this is a good light romance drama, and since I appreciated it so much I'm sure I'll rewatch it.

It reminds me a lot of other dramas like «Put Your Head On My Shoulder», «My Little Happiness», «Once We Get Married», «Time Is Just Right With Him» or «When I Fly Towards You». Yes, some of them have more plot than others, but at the end of the day these are all light romance fictions. Peaceful and romantic.

P.S. The only kiss we got from Juemei and Xiaoxing was the only one that made me feel some type of way... The way he grabs the back of her head and turns her around while walking... yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

Also, I liked the end with the voice actor that repeats the same words Qiang Qingci said upon meeting Shengshengman. It's cute.
Didn't like the fact that we still miss the encounter with the parents of both and a more detailed relationship between Fengyasong and Sister Doudou, though. Like, how did those two come together? I know that Fengyasong somehow proposed himself, but that is not enough. And let's not talk about that poor second couple, we don't even see the big revelation of love (rip).

I'm lowering the votes here. Still cute.

A really sweet and dramaless drama

It's been a while since I last watched a show so thoroughly, without feeling tempted to skip through some scenes to avoid the common misunderstandings and drama.
This story It's truly dramaless and simple. The main couple is really sweet and cute, and their relationship starts really early on in the show, around ep 9, although we do take some time till there's actual progress between these two.
I would say this is a really slow burn romance, becausr even tho they start dating quite early into the story, they do take their time to get to know each other and fall truly in love while on a relationship already.
I'm glad to say this drama has no second bitchy female lead to stir up so drama... honestly, there's nothing at all and I guess that's why I did give it a 10/10 review.
Although the story is really enjoyed and pleasing to watch, it does feel a little bland at times.
The fact that this was a slow burn did frustrate me a little, I mean, they take around 17 episodes to hold hands, 19 to share their first kiss and then 30 episodes to share a kiss that lasts more the 3 seconds. The first forehead/goodbye kiss was on episode 31.... I thought their progress was a little too slow at time, although it was exciting nonetheless and they did get more affectionate by the end of the show (between episodes 29 and 33).
All in all, it's a really nice show to watch, get excited, feel bad about being single and just freak out at the little things lol I wouldn't rewatch it tho, but then again, I'm not really one to usually rewatch things.

Insipid drama.

Boring, flat and monotonous drama. The plot is based on nothingness itself, they give us the love story of a Superman and an Invisible Woman, who speaks little, does little and only knows how to say "I don't have enough experience, I'm afraid of disappointing you And she really disappoints, she looks like an overly spoiled 10-year-old girl who dresses like a 65-year-old lady. There is no adrenaline here, there is no breaking point, no conflict, no antagonist, no tests to overcome, everything develops without taste, without smell and without color , flat, boring, sleepy. And indeed in the episode 19 I fell asleep and then abandoned this, it is absolutely not my cup of tea. It's good to have communication and get along but I want to see how this chemistry works when the couple faces a problem or conflict and this doesn't appear in the drama.

Lovey-Dovey Foodies with Chinoserie Songs in the Background

This is a slow paced, feel good drama with a high budget that paid for beautiful scenery, good camerawork and spectacular music numbers. Our main couple is a pair of quiet and talented people: a famous and mysterious voice actor and a promising young composer and singer. I had an amazing time watching the drama and listening to the OST afterwards. It made me want to travel to Guilin and learn how to cook more Chinese meals.

For my personal taste, I would have a like more dynamic in the main couple relationship, even without breakups is possible to make the protagonists struggle with outside factors - like disapproving family, unwanted suitors, etc - and grow as people and as a couple because of it, On Love Me, Love My Voice, everything happens kind of easily and our couple do not even sweat for it. Another thing that I would like was to have more screen time for the secondary couples, especially the tanned, strong but shy older voice actor and the bright, youthful protagonist's best friend. I could not imagine more different people but they were strangely appealing.

If you liked the voice acting theme, I suggest: I Hear You
If you liked the slow paced romance without breakups, I suggest: Love 020

Lovely romantic, musical, culinary and tourist trip

Very cute series, with the slow evolution of the relationship between a famous but anonymous voice actor (also a cardiologist), and a young FL, student, composer and singer online. The context essentially revolves around a dubbing studio and its team.
The story tells this very slow-burn romance (1st kiss episode 19 :), in a poetic, gentle and sensitive way.

PROS:
+ I love ML. He's the BEST boyfriend, attentive, respectful, handsome, talented. Green flag !!!
+ The voices are important and well highlighted.
+ Particular care is given to the images, the costumes (very beautiful, particularly the FL's dresses), the landscapes, the framing.
+ The OSTs are awesome
+ The storyline is gentle: no twist, no villain or love triangle, no break-up.

CONS:
- I don't think there is such a perfect boyfriend in real life :( :(: respectful, super devoted, ultimate caring,... and with the patience of an angel!
- The FL is a little bland. She's shy, OK. But her character doesn't "shine", doesn't evolve.
- some characters are excessive: the cousins' hyper-protection, the shyness of the undeclared lovers,...

=> Series which allowed me to rediscover Tan Jian Ci, whom I would like to see again in contemporary romantic series.

************************************************************************************

OMG - Why the hell this drama was made. STUPID PLOT and Unrealistic. Grr........

"Love Me, Love My Voice" is a rom-com drama, but there was no drama. After I had invested my valuable time in watching 16 episodes, I decided to drop it and not waste any more of my time. I should have dropped it sooner, but I hoped it would improve because it is a slow burn. It turned out to be a big disappointment.

Tan Jian Ci played a doctor, Mo Qing Cheng, but in real life, he is a voice teacher named Qiang Qing Ci. None of his students knows what he looks like in real life except for Gu Sheng/Sheng Sheng Man, a voice student played by Zhou Ye.

This drama is so stupid and unrealistic in so many ways:
1. Mo Qing Cheng is a surgeon busy with his medical career, but the drama does not show his job as a doctor.
2. Instead, it showed his hobbies as a voice teacher and a cook.
3. The whole annoying drama is about his voice career and eating.
4. I was not impressed with Zhou Ye's character and the actress who portrayed her.
5. The on-screen chemistry between the main CP was not great. I like the 2nd CP better.
6. There was no drama or conflict between the main CP, which is annoying.
7. Tian Jian Ci is too short as a male lead. I like him better in Lost You Forever.

Why does China even bother to make this kind of trashy drama? I give it a 4.5 rating because of the stupid and unrealistic plot.
