Entertaining story with unrealistic plot lines
Little women is a series full of drama and plot twists that explore the greediness for money and the wealth difference between the rich and the poor. The first half of this series is definitely better than the second one. In this one we can see how the three sisters all get wrapped up in the murder of Hwa Young and with the Won Family. It was interesting to see In joo's slowly becoming greedy for her new found money while at the same time trying to give her deceased friend justice. The murder case and the mystery behind the blue orchid really left me at the edge of seat. I also really enjoyed In hye's weird dynamic in the Won house. But then the writers kept dragging both of the mysteries, adding more information without wrapping up stuff. And then the unrealistic stuff came and never left until the ending. By this I mean stuff like In joo walking while badly hurt to her hotel after the car crash, Wong Sang A creating that hotel scheme of the other In Joo, In Hye leaving with Hyo rin and the sisters just being okay with it. It just doesn't make sense. The second half relied too much on plot twists. Im neither satisfied or mad about the ending, it was just okay. Overall, it was still a really entertaining series with it's flaws and the cast did an amazing job.Was this review helpful to you?
Like a ship that loses its course.
Where do I start? If you want me to be straight with you, I will be your savior and tell you right away that you will be disappointed and even feel angry sometimes. You might ask me why. The answer, in my deepest regret, is that this show is a missed opportunity, a wasted potential. The show starts to be really captivating at the very beginning. To be honest, I really love Kim Go Eun and how she is able to interpret her characters in a very human way. That is one of the main reasons why I decided to add this show to my list. But sadly, a couple episodes later, I realize that I couldn't tell exactly why I was watching. The script and the plot were sailing into unknown waters with no destination.
It became really hard to keep watching more and more episodes, and I have to congratulate myself for finishing the task, and I really mean it; it was a task at this point because it had already stopped being entertaining.
My conclusion is that this ship needed a better captain and a better crew, but it is what it is: nothing but a ship that lost its course.

one of the best dramas out there
it's not often you see a drama with three women as the main leads solving a mystery so i was super excited for this when the trailers came out, and it did not disappoint  most of the actors were amazing, though i will say that park ji-hye's acting in this series was not great. she rarely showed any form of emotion, which worked well in the other dramas she acted in [all of us are dead] because of the concept but as the youngest sister we needed more emotion. also i felt like as the younger sister she wasn't really necessary and she didnt seem like a main character, more like a side character or a support role. i also felt like some of the relationships were a bit rushed, and also the ending was a bit sudden. other than that though, i loved the plot and it kept me well entertained with constant twists - although some plot holes were apparent. definitely recommend and i would like to rewatch it in the future sometime as well! Was this review helpful to you?

their chemistry is SO unmatched
them. oh my goodness. they are married with three daughters, I know it, guys.⋆? I know that so many people were distraught over their open ending, but honestly, I'd still recommend it, and I don't think it was too bad. I take that, "I'll see you again" from him very seriously, and you should too, lmao. He will be back in a week, max. In the end, it just felt like he was still very involved in her life (scene with In-hye), and that was just the beginning of their story. TRUST. she just needs to be in deep trouble, and he will spawn, no joke.
— So, don't be scared away, except you are really someone who needs at least a kissing scene (they didn't even hug, haha) and a clear indication that they are endgame, then I would maybe rethink.
⋆? It's worth watching, alone because—Choi Do-il and Oh In-joo's chemistry was one of the best I've ever seen. It was enough for me. I adored them. Every scene between them had me running laps. The subtleness and the softness of their interactions were so AKSJSJ. they are so in love.
⋆? Choi Do-il has got to be one of my fav male leads now. (it may seem like I say this a lot, but I only have a top 3, alright?? :p) He is so protector.
"Don't you trust how far I will go to protect you?" +
when she asked why he was still helping her even though she didn't have the money anymore, he said that it must have become a habit = A MAN IN LOVE.
— both Wi Ha Jun and Kim Go Eun were amazing. Her acting during emotional scenes was top-notch !!
⋆? If the romance scares you, and you fear you will be left unsatisfied, consider watching it for other reasons because the plot is VERY engaging. I was so intrigued and rarely felt bored. great mystery thriller with a valuable message !!

trashy good...?
Oct. 22, 2022Little Women is okay. I don't really have anything else to say as the writers sort-of dragged everything until the last minute and then crunch it all in one go. Plot was definitely something, I mean the casts were really good. I felt the appropriate emotions that I need especially with how the sisters can be sometimes. This show really tested my patient.
Definitely those dramas to watch when you don't know what else to do. Skippable episodes definitely in this series and its only 12 episodes too... so yea.... that's that.

Layers upon layers
Aug 2023Why did I wait so long to watch this?
I really enjoyed the pace and intrigue, and binged in a day, staying up 'til silly o'clock.
Great mix of characters, with the 3 sisters it centres around being each very different.
It really was gripping drama with some well placed, but nothing standing out as being really childish, humour.
The story twists and turns, with more layers than an onion.
All 3 sisters end up entwined with one ultra powerful, sociopathic family.
The story follows their struggle to unearth past and present secrets, lies and fraud.
More than a few surprises along the way.
There were a few times when things got more than a little ridiculous and characters did do truly stupid things for the circumstances they were in, but overall it's not badly written and is a pretty intelligent story.
I'd have liked more on the youngest sister, as I felt her character's story was sacrificed somewhat for the main plot.
I also wish one particular character had a more fitting end; they didn't suffer nearly enough for my liking.
I adored Choi Do-il, played by Wi Ha-joon; a great character that kept me guessing to the very end.
Well worth a watch.

If you love kim go-eun then its worth a watch
If you want to watch something thrilling and a women's power drama then you can proceed to watch this drama, the drama is all about if you get rich unfortunately how will you survive with it?The main lead acting was on another level and also sisters' characters were beautifully designed, somewhere they missed a few logic to explain.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!
No kissing scenes,
Not a happy ending for the main leads as we expect them to hold hands or kiss, nothing gonna happen like that.

Unsoviing the Mystery Of 70 Billion Won
●FIRST IMPRESSIONWhat are you gonna do if you have 70 billion won?
Honestly, I was intrigued by this question, when I saw the trailer and the only thing I could think of was a house and higher education just like any common person. pretty similar to the dreams of FL, Oh InJoo who is an average working woman.
The dreams of a common person are a house, a car, and a comfortable life with the family. But what comes with 70 billion is the responsibility, danger, and greed of evilness.
●PLOT VIEW
LITTLE WOMAN, is a drama that takes the audience on a journey of more than a 70billion won.
Murders, accidents, politics, ambition, corruption, greed, broken family, and 3 LITTLE WOMAN in the midst of such chaos
Featuring infamous BLUE ORCHIDS and an illustration of CLOSED ROOMS. The story using these elements as core develops into a thrilling mystery action drama with just a pinch of sweetness. After every episode, it leaves the audience wanting more of everything after and it left the audience at the end even though complete but a pinch of incompleteness.
also, this drama has a spoonful of supernatural delight which goes hand in metaphor for BLUE ORCHIDS.
The background of the Vietnam war terrifying but interesting too. I learned many things about it post-drama.
Even though it was perfect in storytelling, untying the mysterious knots but few bits remained uncleared. I would like to list it all down but then it would be a spoiler I guess.
●CHEMISTRY
This drama also breaks the stereotypes of romance in Kdramas, it was just beautiful and endearing. No cheesy script but a pure trustworthy and understanding relationship.
There are also many relationships, not just romantic ones but friendship, InJoo, HwaYoung, and InHye and HyoRin
which we don't get to see like in other dramas. They had a such pure friendship that it made me fall in love with them.
also, InJoo and Do-il's unsaid relationship is a breaking of the stereotypes of relationships in Kdrama.
InKyung and JungHo were mature friends who understood each other deeply.
●ACTING/CAST
About the cast and acting, it was phenomenal. Whoever did the casting deserves a raise, they were more than perfect. Every character can be a character study because they were deep and layered. Even though you see them first you realize they have more depth after a few episodes for any drama lover.
Park Ji Hu, as Oh Inhye the youngest of the Oh family was annoying and I ended up disliking her but as a young actress, she showed varied emotions of determination in any situation.
Nam Ji-Hyun as Oh InKyung was a stubborn, positive, and moral character who refuses to give up and back away. NJH's soft voice gives a sweet and innocent depth to her character.
Kim Go-Eun as Oh InJoo was flawed yet kind, strong, and daring. She takes all the chances to give her sisters a better life and gets into trouble. KGE was perfectly displaying not just InJoo but all those average working class who work bones to make ends meet. She shows grief, stubbornness, confusion, greed, trust, loyalty, and madness with perfection.
Wi Ha-Joon as Choi DoIl was a magnificent character who was not easy to decipher until the end. WHJ maintained his smile balance and eye depth to make the audience confused. And seeing his previous works every1 is obliged to think of him as a grey character. But when the drama ends he left an impression that won't be forgotten for a long time.
KangHoon as JongHo was a sweet adorable guy who just stood by InKyung. KH seemed so sweet in this character.
Uhm Ji Won, and Uhm Ki Joon were toxic as hell. They were a core subject that can't be ignored, also inspite of having negative characters they can't be hated, for the character portrayal was brilliant. They did the job as actors awesomely.
●MUSIC
This drama had the least OST of the dramas I have watched previously. there are many songs used in the drama sequence which get repeated until you start to humm but this drama, mostly used musical tones rather than lyrical tracks, which was very refreshing.
La Vie was a beautiful undertone song but the lyrics of the song were heard just once. Only the music was used heavily.
The ghost orchid music was powerful. It gives chills down the spine with its ghostly monotonous tone.
●REWATCH
I wish I could forget everything and watch it all over again for the first time. Am rewatching this.
●APPRECIATION
The director deserves appreciation to unfold a mysterious drama mysteriously and keep it mysterious until the end.
The cinematographer deserves applause to show us the astonishing beauty of colors in the form of heels, flowers, clothes, and places many more.
●CRITICISM
The writer and directors were to be blamed who fell short in wrapping up all the loose ends as they wanted to keep everything mysterious until the end and the secrets remained secrets. Not a spoiler but if you are not deep into the drama you won't even notice these details.

Top-notch! I can't find loophole at all.
1) Story [+]Plot very strong, well-built and dynamic. The story moves forward the whole time which is incredible. There're things to learn, explore, discover, and be surprised in every episode. It progresses in fast pace but not hasty. The rhythm is so right to the point that there's no wasted time even for the preview. If you watched the preview of next episode at each episode's ending, you'd most likely be spoiled. All the happenings in this story are very reasonable from beginning to end, which normally is very hard to achieve in this kind of highly complex, suspense story. Most of the time, the writers/directors wouldn't be wise enough to make it perfectly suspense without loopholes (--some notable examples that failed on this point are W-Two World and Mouse). For this one, no loopholes at all. I also love the ending. It isn't romantically sugar-coated but leaning toward the side of being realisticly hopeful. The writer gave an interview that if there'd be one more episode, the audience would have the chance to see FL and ML being back together. I think so, too. But they're just clever to end it at the right timing. If there're one more episode, things would be cheesy instead as there's no point left in the suspense plot anymore, and then the tone of the series would shift a bit and might end up in the same way as many other Korean series that have strong start but usually tone down and fail toward the end.
------------------------------------
2) Acting [+]
Superb! There're so many actors in this series. They come in and out of the scene all the time. And I enjoy the acting of all of them. The acting of the three sisters should especially be praised. Kim Go Eun has the chance to show her true ability in acting through the role of the eldest sister here. Her performance in Goblin can't be compared to this at all. The actress who plays Wong Sang A, Hyorin's mother, also did a great job. Her fake smile and bubbly character is so annoyingly fake. Hyorin just says the right feeling of the viewers when it finally bears in her mind that things in her family are so fake. Before that, it always feels off but she can't really be certain at which point.
------------------------------------
*I'm not that expert in music so I avoid giving comment on that aspect and just gave the moderate/middle score when nothing wrong occurs.
*This series is one of a very few series I give this high score on Rewatch Value.

Well, when the cast is star studded how could you be disappointed?
Little Women, a story about three sisters. And it is just that. Three complex characters brought to life by three mind blowing actors. The oldest struggles with helplessness, the middle one with addiction and the youngest with fear. Well the aforementioned is just to sum up I won’t spoil their struggles. Their life is aligned with multiple other people who are good and bad. I personally don’t think the story is a drag or way too complicated. It’s interesting enough for you to be curious omg what’s going to happen now! I loved it. So far.The acting is just out of the roof. How every character just portray their emotions. Not just the three leading ladies but also the supporting characters.
It’s Netflix and Netflix doesn’t miss with background music. Especially the signature music that plays at the end. It’s so prettty ?
If you like the series about the rich, you should give this a shot. No, this isn’t a romance. There might be some elements of it, but it’s not that. This is drama at its finest. A drama about complex characters portraying their complex emotions and struggles, while managing to be interesting.
PS. I saw some of the reviews that were here. This isn’t a complete adaption of the OG Little Women. Don’t bash the series about how disappointed you were to find out it’s nothing like the OG. Read up synopsis before you watch anything. It will help ya determine whether you should watch it or not.

Destitute Didn’t Have to Mean Dumb
The first episode kicked things off well, but the story failed to keep that strong premise. I was expecting to see three sisters who were ride or die, bringing down those corrupt killers and manipulators whom they found themselves entangled with, while managing to elevate themselves, even if just enough to do better than they were, out of extreme poverty.Instead, we got three sisters who were as about as bonded as three siblings living oceans apart. The oldest sister was the dumbest out if the three. She spent almost every episode in tears. Sometimes warranted. Sometimes not. She signed her name to a legal document that was in a language she couldn’t read. Repeatedly confronted potentially dangerous people and threatened to expose their crimes. Handed a stack of stolen money to a woman who knew she was dirt poor, while knowing people were looking for said money. Trusted everything a man said whom she didn’t know from Adam. And continued to be a crusader of justice for her BFF who set her up in a serious mess of financial fraud. The stupidness went on and on with this one.
The middle sister had a few more brain cells to rub together. For she could see the forest for the trees. However, she wasn’t smart enough to be meticulous and strategic in her efforts which resulted in her ongoing failures.
The youngest sister was gullible and dumb. I guess she can get a pass as she was a teen and having to deal with being dirt poor and abandoned by her parents. However, her complete disregard for her sisters and total belief in her rich BFF and family was ridiculous. Also, she looked high throughout the series but perhaps that was in effort to convey her depression with her situation. Still it did the character no favors.
The plot actually could’ve been good if those at the center of it wasn’t so dumb. I gave this 7 episodes because I like Kim Go Eun. However, I finally gave up on the series because the plot continued to drag and I became over these characters lack of intellect. Moreover, what also annoyed me was all the educated and/or rich characters in this came off smart while the poor characters came off dumb.
