Horror about parents who can't accept the death of their daughter & try to re-meet her through VR
My fave Jeon Somin special drama for this date. The story is kinda unique because I haven't watch any films (at least for me) about this virtual reality, the parents who lost her child. The child playing Heesoo is such a good actress, same with Park SungHoon who played as the father.Aside from the plot itself, there are revelations in the end of the movie which whenever I think of it, I got goosebumps all over. The reasons behind virtual Heesoo's acting up (malfunctions if what you called it), the father's secret, and the mother who will do everything just to see her daughter and make those times memorable.
I think, this special drama deserves more recognition overseas. It tackles not just the technology advancement itself but also awareness to parents (i will not write anything here because it might be a spoiler) and to understand their child more because we don't know when and where we will face our deaths.

upon actually hearing that this was actually horror said by somin and sunghoon on problem child in the house, i became more interested so i tried watching this. a few days or weeks ago i watched the trailer first and it did creep me enough that i want to watch it. now that i've watched it, indeed it is creepy, though when i finished it felt more sad to me than creepy. i kind of predicted how it was gonna end, i mean.. with the trailer i think the ending was pretty obvious (of course, being obvious doesnt make it less good), the shock factor was from the middle to near the ending point, which was pretty interesting, since at those points, it made me doubt about how the ending was gonna go and if it was gonna go as i predicted or not. it wasn't like... the best thing i've ever watched, but it gave me goosebumps and shock moments which is already pretty good. for someone who avoids horror media on a daily basis, i like this quite a lot. and i'm not sure, i might be wrong. but it kinda reminded me of something. i feel like i've read news about something like this that happened for real, but i can't really remember, so i'm currently doubting myself if it was even real or not. but if it was real and maybe this was inspired from that, then thats pretty cool Was this review helpful to you?
