He's in to cringe...
This is so bad it is entertaining as h****, If you were to make a drinking game out of the love confessions in this drama you would end up in the E.R by the second episode. Heck if you make a drinking game out of the line "I will always love you" you'd end up with the same result as they say that more often than Whitney Huston ever did. Giving us grand gesture after grand gesture, flowers, lights, music... oh enough cringe and fluff to last till the next time you crave some cringe.However all these confessions amount in pretty much nothing and seem to be the leads trying to convince themselves, reminding themselves or to tie down the other I am not sure. But I honestly am not convinced the dude is in to her... Or has any clue about what love is... He is the jealous type, with serious trust issues, impulsive and in need of anger management... However the second male lead is way cooler and does seem to have more of a clue as to what love is... Who she ends up with is of course for me to know and you to find out.
Other than that the story is packed with lots of 90s teen drama cliches ( I identified 10 things I hate about you, clueless and Beverly Hills tropes here and there).
The acting is inconsistent the main leads acting and singing is fine but the side characters talent varies...
The side characters also vary in quality and of course add to the I will always love you theme of it... oh to be 17 and in lust...
The male leads father is probably the sole reason the male lead needs anger management, He is manipulative, lacks all common sense and does not seem to have the ability to listen or care for any one. A true off with their heads type of guy and NO ONE seems bothered by this in the whole show.
The plot is... was there really a plot in this? ok people are framed, others blamed, some disappear, some die.. I am sure they tried to make the audience feel stuff but since there is so much predictability and ridiculousness along the way I did not feel anything other then entertained...
All this said I do hope you watch it, just prepare yourself for cringe!

Lost me in the second half
Season 1 was honestly great but season 2 didn't live up to the mark. There were many times where I felt the show was trying too hard to be perfect that it lost the natural feel to it.As a summary/recap, Deib was a popular high school kid who had a popular group of friends. He used to bully Max, a poor but strong girl and eventually they fell in love. Deib had an older brother, Dale, who was shot and left for dead for which Deib blames himself for being inebriated at the time. His parents also blamed him for a while. His father continues to be harsh with him and nothing Deib does to make up for it seems to be good enough for his father. Deib had hired a private investigator who then went missing at a crucial point. When it is revealed that Max's uncle Boyet is at the center of Dale's shooting incident, it puts a strain on Max and Deib's relationship.
There is nothing wrong with the story as such. In fact, up until the mid point it was pretty interesting. But after a while, you start to feel bored and wish the story could move faster. Or something new would happen. And when it does, you feel like this just doesn't make any sense. There are some interesting side characters - Niah, Ysay and Lee, but even their plot appears to move in circles. The sudden disappearance of a character also felt strange and unresolved. There's a death that felt like it was added for the shock value as it serves no purpose.
Acting wise, I felt the cast did a really good job though I did feel like there were more crying scenes than required. Sympathetic crying happened a bit too often. Also some of the characters feel more like cheering squads in this season and don't have a life of their own even when they could have had their own stories that were initiated in season 1.
By the end of season 2, I felt a bit tired to continue. It is mostly filled with cliches. That is why it took me 3 days just to finish watching the finale.
There are some good moments and positive messages like loving yourself, doing what is good for you, sisterhood, etc. It's just the presentation that feels unfamiliar.
One thing that does stand out is the exceptional OST. There are some beautiful tracks that I fell in love with while watching this show like Kahit Na Kahit Pa, Did You Let Me Go, I Just Miss You and the title track He's Into Her are some of the most memorable ones.
The show couldn't live up to the first season's performance but it is good for a one time watch so that the story is tied up.

Meh.
After finishing the first season, I entered into the second season with trepidation. The beginning starts off kind of rough. We are now minus two cast members. Rhys Miguel as Tob was possibly fired or didn't want to continue the loveteam with Kaori Oinuma (Michiko). Melizza Jimenez as Elle decided to focus on school instead of acting and was recast with Mikha Lim. Tob's disappearance is integrated into the plot as him "ghosting" Michiko. Despite the rough start, I really liked the first few episodes of the season. However, it started to go downhill towards the mid-point when the plot starts to focus only on the whole criminal investigation surrounding Dale being shot. I won't go into this because I could go on and on, but I hated it. It doesn't really pick back up after that, unfortunately.The leads, Donny Pangilinan (Deib) and Belle Mariano (Max), have great chemistry. They honestly save this mediocre second season. Without them I would've been so much worse. The plot does give them some great chances to flex their acting chops, but it's unfortunate that it never seems to go anywhere. The supporting cast feels weaker in this season besides maybe Michiko (played by Kaori Oinuma). They really threw everything at her. RJ and Kim just feel like they're as plot devices. They might've had something interesting with Lee, Naih, and Ysay, but the writers back out of it at the last second. Poor Migz, Elle, and Lorde are just there. And the adult drama between Max's dad, stepmom, and the new principal was kind of random but I would've preferred them focus on that instead of the stupid investigation.
The last couple episodes come out of nowhere. All of the sudden, Dale is just dead? WTH. I don't understand why he didn't die during surgery?? He died while sleeping?? He was in a hospital; he would've been hooked up to something. Okay, I did cry but how he died was so stupid. Then it's the last episode so they have to wrap up everything, but they don't do it very well. It's frustrating. Anyway, despite my complaints, I mostly enjoyed the series. I don't regret finishing it. I just wish it had matched the first season in terms of entertainment.

This season went downhill
Season 1 was good. This season tried too hard. I thought the crime plot was interesting, but the way it was handle was off. It just feels unrealistic for students being invested in it while also trying to figure out what college to go to. There's a lot to handle on a plate. The emotions were also tried too hard. Overuse of crying ruins the emotions. Also, I felt like some things that are said were so harsh like telling someone they hate them. HATE. That's a strong word. How are you going to tell someone you hate them but come back to help them eventually? Confusing. Also, the things Deib's dad be saying is so rude. Like really sir???Max and Deib were cute in season 1, but their relationship just felt toxic in this season. RJ is so cuteeeeee. I totally ship Max and RJ. Their chemistry was way better than Deib. I liked Kim because she was kind of funny. Michiko's bfs was always awkward. Dale was weird and Tob was just there. The love triangle of Naih, Lee, and Melissa was whatever. It's a problem but wasn't needed. Lorde was annoying as always.
The songs were beautiful though. Props to that.
Pretty disappointed about this season, but I'm glad I finished it.
