IT'S A CRUSH
I binged watched this series, found it very entertaining but it went about 2 episodes too long. The confession in the 1st episode was so awful for the Han Ba Ram, it just set you up to really love the character & learn to hate Sangin. Im Han Tea was just the best of friends who finally realized he loved Han Ba Ram. For a moment you thought that maybe he would be another rejection . Sangin although beautiful to look at was an awesome villian of the series. I liked this drama, loved the band comradery and the singing was also wonderful. I think Korean bl's are getting more and more interesting & providing more real life issues. Making them less about hiding & rejecting your sexuality & more about the love that exists and the acceptanceWas this review helpful to you?
Sweet friends to lovers.

Refreshing and THANK GOD - THERE'S MORE THAN ONE SONG!!!
Loved this one. Agree with others - pacing is just right. Typical Korean BL - they still treat kissing as almost taboo and therefore - limited. That's okay. Still handled well.Love all the characters including, the evil one. He stays perfectly sewer dwelling throughout. I would hate to know who else he took advantage of during his teaching years before trying to debut himself. Chemistry is good with all the main characters - love it. Little family. People taking care of each other and looking out for each other.
Another reviewer made reference to - understandably - Han Ba Ram misunderstanding both characters touchy feely-ness being confusing. Been there. I am so concerned about not understanding those moments - I usually avoid being touched! And, avoid too much touch/affection with people I don't know.
And, I did love Im Han Tae's growth as he slowly realized how much he grew to love Ba Ram. First, you don't think about it. Then, you deflect - Naw...I'm not falling for him...then, you finally admit you love them and can't be without them.
Love that there is more than one song. And, the main song is never played fully as the series goes on. The director and those involved pay attention to what the viewers notice and appreciate. Agree that this is a OST worth owning.

Took a rewatch, but this one grew on me
The first time I watched this show, I liked it but didn't like looove it, but I kept thinking about it and gave it a second shot. For whatever reason, I absolutely loved it!The chemistry between the two main leads was really awesome, love an angsty friends to lover trope. The music was really great, and I liked that it took an espied or two for Im Han Tae to be like yeah okay, I like Han Ba Ram even though you could see it in his eyes like the whole show. I was honestly a little surprised that Im Han Tae wasn't the one to confess, cause man was in love.
My biggest complaint with this show though is that the "bad guy," Sangin, just like disappears. I really liked the conflict with him stealing Han Ba Ram's song and just being a total creep, but when he shows up drunk and is all gross with Han Ba Ram, and then disappears. I just feel that there should've been more of a resolution there or he should've shown up at least one more time. Also, the weird make-out cut scene was a little random in the last episode; like I get the idea, it just felt really random and just like oh okay they're making out now.
But I really liked it and will probably watch again!

a fluffy bl series that warms my heart
this is the first time for me to write a review. this series deserves more love!! it's is a very refreshing watch and i will surely go back to this when i want to feel butterflies. the chemistry of the main couple felt very natural and heart-fluttering. it doesn't have an overly-complicated conflict so it's a very easy watch which makes it just overall wholesome. it's really like the wind - one that blows softly; cool but somehow comforting as it makes you feel the warmth of the heart. it's like taking a bite of a soft white marshmallow. it's like walking on fluffy clouds. i especially like the acting and visuals here. the pace is also good. it didn't feel rushed. i wish this has more episodes or another season though because it's THAT good! this is gonna be on my top kbl series of all time. Was this review helpful to you?

A MASTERPIECE
I'm not even exaggerating when I say this is one of my favorite dramas I've ever seen. I couldn't stop watching it once I started. Like I was feeling super depressed today and now I'm so happy? I'm cured! this is a miracle you guysMy likes ♡
- Today I realized that I LOVE a "BFF's who love each other and would walk to the end of the earth for each other" trope. Their friendship was soo cute I couldn't stop smiling. The acts of service UGHHH ♡
- Hantae is hilarious and Son Hyun Woo did such a good job omg. He has such a silly personality, the angst didn't even stress me out that much because of the comedic relief he brought to the show. My fav part was when he started dancing in front of the CEO(?) of the music company he was trying to pitch their music to. I've never seen anything with Son Hyun Woo in it but I'm going to look for his other work because he's such a good actor imo, his acting is so natural. Baram is also so adorable and while he was kind of a pushover, it kinda worked for his character and it was necessary for the angst but he ended up showing some character development later on.
- I'm such a sensitive person that I can't watch dramas or anything that has too much angst or if it has a sad ending. I won't finish it because the sadness I get affects me for days lmaoo (I refuse to watch Twenty Five Twenty One). While there was a good amount of angst (misunderstandings galore), it never felt like it was too much or going overboard and there was never a time where I felt like they just added it in out of nowhere just for the sake of having angst.
- The pacing was great imo! I never once felt bored or felt the need to skip through episodes. It also didn't feel rushed despite it only being 8 episodes and I love that they "slowly" (for a BL kdrama lol) developed their relationship from the beginning. By slow, I mean that they didn't just suddenly have one of the characters develop feelings out of nowhere in the second to last episode but then he's in denial for the rest of the episode and most of the final one and then they squeeze all of the affection into the last 2 minutes. They were affectionate with each other from the beginning which I LOVED but also, the last episode was so cute UGH the entire episode was just fluff and happiness. They still had their silly dynamic from when they were just friends and omg their chemistry was insane.
- There were little details that weren't super obvious that were so cute. i.e the cat and dog pillows that represent each other and they both sleep with them in their beds ): and the chore board and the pictures of them from when they met until now... crying
- The friends were also super cute and I loved their dynamic. also this is really random but did anyone else find Jeong Pal's voice super satisfying? Like ASMR lol
- OH also, the song that they kept playing was actually really good! like I added it to my playlist lol.
Dislikes:
- Actually nothing. Like I'm being serious, I can't think of anything lol.
I am most definitely biased because this checked all of my boxes for a drama that I'll love (I love dramas that are 90% fluff and cuteness that aren't going to mentally scar me) and you may think that giving 10 stars is going overboard but I stand by my opinion !!! if you're looking for a drama that's easy to watch and is super cute, you should definitely check this out !!!

Dude, I can't get ENOUGH of this show!
An 8.0 rating? HA. This show deserves WAY more. I remember when I first started and finished, Sing My Crush had me giggling and squealing like a little girl from beginning to end of the show. Everything about it was amazing, the chemistry of the actors, the acting, the music, the plot, EVERYTHING! I'm positive I was smiling throughout the entire show!!! The kiss scenes give you butterflies and the music is absolutely beautiful. Deff in my top 10 Kbls of all time! If there is a season 2, we will be IMMEDIATELY watching! Was this review helpful to you?
Cute Romance done right
It's a very well made show with intriguing story, amazing acting, certainly one of the best music in any show recently giving justice to the title. The story is not new but the way it is made is what makes it a well made show. Perfect re-watchabe value. You will not regret it, go for it.I know this is korean bl so you'd expect deadfish, which there's one (but not awkward) but kisses in this show are passionate and very well shot. Apart the leads others have done a great job as well.
This would come in my top 15 of korean bls or over all bls.

Sweet and Simple with a side of Cringe
This is the story about a sweet introverted boy who broke his guitar, got turned down by his long time crush in a pretty cruel way and to top it off he attracted an obsessed guy who kind of lacks boundaries extrovert... but in a cute way. After that they went on a sweet journey of friendship and music... plus a bunch of other stuff... There is love, awkward kisses, less awkward kisses... Mediocre to good acting (sometimes in the same person), some drama and a whole lot of scenes (ok 2 or 3) with a guy dramatically pulling empty luggage and a side of cringe.
The friendships in this are really nice, so is the mother, our villain is just awful and not even cute but most of all this is a fluffy orangey yellow lighting drama with mostly fluff and just enough drama to give it a story beyond the fluff... Easy to watch, easy to binge and had it not been for some of the over the top cringe I may even have rated it higher.
P.S: The styling and most of the acting preformed by of our extrovert lead was just awful the first episode, luckily it gets better... But Introverted boy rocks the introverted thing from start to finish.

An Adorable Sleeper Hit
I didn't go into watching this one with high expectations, but I ended up adoring this show. This review won't be very long just because it's a solid, fluffy romance, and given my rating, I don't have much to critique! Take this as a sign to watch Sing My Crush!
The two main leads are so fucking cute, on their own but also when they're together. They've made me laugh and smile like an actual doofus. The side characters are just as lovable (except one)!
I also got Coming of Age vibes from this series. We watch them stumble and deal with what life throws at them, even though the story only spans a few years of their lives. They learn to depend on each other through adolescent hardships and injustice, and eventually develop feelings for each other. But even apart from the romance, the main leads' friendship is just as wholesome and sweet.
I didn't at all feel like the story or episodes were drawn out. I get maybe it feels a little slow at times, but it fits the story's build-up and frankly, I liked the characters so much, I didn't mind watching them spend more time together.
There were two instances of drama I felt were a little manufactured/already overdone in the BL industry, but it didn't bother me as much, because I had faith in these characters. It's the typical "angsty" misunderstanding stuff you can expect from these slice-of-life vibe fluffy romances.
TLDR; Im Han Tae/Son Hyun Woo's smile is so bright and cute and adorable that it expelled all my demons.

Based off my personal rating criteria specifically made for BLs
1. Characters 10/10+ The characters felt like real people who could exist
+ They made Baram into such a likeable cinnamon bun. It become really easily to make a dislikable character if one is too passive and soft but I feel like they made Baram into the perfect balance of agency while still being vulnerable
+ I like the consistency they gave to Hantae where he truly runs head-first into everything. And showing that there are both pros and cons to this behaviour is extremely realistic
2. Shipabaility 10/10
+ I really enjoyed how they became friends. Sometimes when you're sad, you really do just need someone to barge into your life regardless of what you want at that point. I feel like their relationship perfectly encapsulated this idea
+ Their dynamic is really comfortable and the fact that they showed us them living together from the start is really a plus
+ I think the show did a fantastic job at showing us from beginning to end the sheer amount of love and trust they have for each other
3. Plot 9/10
- I feel like the argument that occurred before they got together lasted longer than I'd like and edged on annoying
