BEST C-DRAMA !
This is my first time watching a C-drama but probably not the last time thanks to this amazing drama !I first watched it because of some clip I've seen on Tik Tok, but I never thought it would be THAT good.
Now, I'm all excited about each episode and I can't wait for the episodes to resume.
Concerning the series itself, I really like the story and how you can't predict what will happen next. This point is very important because this is what made me keep watching, I was so intrigued that I religiously wait every day for the next episodes.
Then, the acting is super nice ! The actors are really good at it and it's helping the watching to be nice and comfortable.
The characters are lovable ( minus the villains ) and funny, even though there are some sad scenes you'll always have a good laugh and fall in love with the characters. ( PS : QuanQuan will highlight your day )
If it's your first time or not watching a Chinese Drama, then you should give The Love You Give Me a try cause it's totally worthy !!

Before they got married
What I like about this drama is how natural the lead actors including Quan Quan the sweet little boy portrays their characters. It's almost like they're a real family. The thing about sexual harassment at workplace is so bad and made me furious because it should be zero tolerance, I know it happens all the time anywhere in the world. I like how Xin Qi handled it for Min Hui. Applaud to Min Hui for physically defending herself from Qi Rang's attack. All their kissing scenes also the other couple Cao Mu and Jia Jun are swoon worthy. I just loved watching them. So Sweet. Truly a rom/com. I was also satisfied with the ending. So, I gave high praise and rewatch value like Once We Get Married where Wang Yu Wen and Wang Zi Qi first drama I 've seen them together. Was this review helpful to you?
Wang Wang couple come back with another sweet story
I was really happy to see the Wang-Wang couple reunite for another drama and the addition of the cutie little boy made it even better. The show's story again isn't some out of the box stuff that hasn't been seen before. FL returning with a kid after a few years to get him checked and ML who has no idea he had a kid getting a good shock. Well atleast for a change the second leads aren't annoying but the bad folks do get on your nerves. Also the female lead isn't some cowardly damsel in distress but a strong independent woman who knows who stand up for herself and if necessary even kick some ass.
Just like their previous collab, both the leads showed of on how good they look together on screen. It is a good one time watch.

Sugary sweet and one happy family.
There are so many things they did right on this rom-com.(The casting was perfect)
The best part of this drama was the chemistry between the leads and since they were in a previous drama together, Once we get Married, you can see how comfortable they are working together. There are lenty of kissing moments too, YAY for that. The pair simply look very good on camera. They are fairly young as parents, but it’s not a stretch (they could possibly have a 5 year old). I liked they are only two years apart too.
(The little boy was the highlight of the show)
I loved that they casted a child voice-over for the little boy parts. It made the drama very authentic, even though a lot of his lines would never be said by a soon-to-be five year old. But overall, TOO cute and his acting was so good.
(The second and third storylines were fairly cute)
Both of these side relationships had huge age gaps, one with a 10 year gap and one with a 9 year gap (in real life). So that was fairly interesting, you got to see it from both perspective (one older guy and one older gal dating younger people).
I really liked the second male lead and I kind of wanted him to be the male lead, only because he’s in his thirties and looked more dadish too. If only … but the ML was very good, so I can’t complain too much.
(the Styling and wardrobe was modern and easy on the eyes).
I liked that the FL was a strong independent mom. She dressed her age and was very modern and classy. I liked her up-do buns and she didn’t rewear too much of the same outfits. I am SO happy they didn’t make her poor or frumpy. It was a very good take on the FL. China needs to go more in this direction. The sets were pretty awesome too, who doesn’t want a slide in their house?!
(The storyline was too adorable)
The plot of the show is too cute. Single mom and rich baby daddy, that’s a making for a too cute plot. There’s a lot of tension in the beginning, but it’s the cute kind where you just want the baby daddy to find out!
Then it goes more into why they broke up and I was REALLY interested in those parts.
The drama was just really balanced well. It had all the elements of a rom-com you want in a C drama with very little to mild misunderstandings and cheesiness.

A beautiful ,cute and lovely drama
First of all there was no conspiracy had shown in the drama .Two person met with eachother . Their story start with misunderstanding which slowly slowly get clear .
I love this couple . I had watched their drama before that was also the best .
About Male lead character's role .at first drama had shown he was arrogant CEO . Had no emotion . But as soon as he came to know that he had a child . There was a drastic change in his behaviour .
He started staying with her . He never showed by his action that he would take the custody of his son. He never want to separate her from his son. Because he understood how much she important for his sone . So for his son they started living together. He had started caring for her and in this way again their love story starts . As a boyfriend he was so cute ,so lovable , at some part he got jeolous too but that was also cute.
I thoroughly enjoyed the drama. And I like the kid too. Other characters were also good.

I HAD MIXED EMOTIONS WITH THIS ONE ❤️?
The love you give me to me had it's amazing and frustrating moments..so my review of it is going to have mixed emotions.
What did I love and didn't love about it?
THE CHEMISTRY
The chemistry between the leads was out of these world, I've seen both of them in once we get married and I absolutely love how they became much more closer and more natural there chemistry was definetly something that carried the show.
THE CAST
I'll start with my favourite the kid of course, Quanquan was a mood lifter, regardless of how frustrating the story could get with the misunderstandings, Quan Quan always made me forget it with his cuteness.
My second favourite character was sadly a person that only appeared in a few episodes but had my heart the entire time...Cindy the male leads sister..the way she kept talking and mixing Chinese and English was so funny and yes she was an ultimate mood lifter as well
Now I'll talk about the leads..I loved the female lead, she can act and I love how they made her independent and brave and strong as for the male lead he's character wasn't the typical cold ceo he had good Interactions with most of the cast especially Quanquan...but I hated how he was made so dormant as to continuously be the one to follow the female lead every time, like he's a CEO iam not saying most C drama male lead CEO's are always that active at work especially if they fall in love but man tone the chasing down a bit.
SIDE CHARACTERS
Iam a fan of multiple couples and I live seeing different story lines in one but in this I just wished they stuck to the main couple and the kid..among the side couples I'd say I liked the Bestie and swimmer couple but it did get unnessesary and annoying a little towards the end... though I love how baddas female leads bestie's character ❤️
Another story I think just wasted screen time had to be the female leads former boss and her mistress what value did they have except annoying the crap out of me with their actions.
THE PLOT
I love the lovers reuniting theme but it's been going wrong in many C dramas for many reasons but I'll say this was written well at first and then the continuous misunderstandings between the leads brushed me off, some were real and needed while some were stupid.
They wanted to fill 28 episodes but I would have been fine with 20 as long as the main focus was these two reuniting forming a stronger bond and being amazing parents to the kid..but no they had to add all this drama...and it ruined it for me.
THE OSTS AND CINEMATOGRAPHY
These were too good
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend this if you looking for a light watch..just something to pass time no need to be serious about the story like I was obviously...but I'll just say it here I thought this would break the perfect 10/10 I gave once we get married but it just failed too
Either way it's an easy watch which has its moments but still easy to watch.

A perfectly mature and heartwarming romcom
The story isn't too unpredictable, you'll probably get the plot within the initial episodes but the growth of characters as an individual and the bonding they share is what keeps you seated.Min Hui's struggle as a single mother in a male dominated corporate world was real, she did what she had to do to survive. Xin qi was right to be angry about the misunderstanding, he didn't saw it coming but later his understanding for the whole situation was applaudable. He wanted to fill the gaps and he sure did, it wasn't easy for min Hui to suddenly accept him again because a relationship doesn't last long if anyone has trust issues to begin with, so it was important to be on the same page. Their chemistry was truly very natural, both were at their best with the kid, always a pleasure to watch them together.
I would definitely re-watch some scenes just to feel that warmth again.

A drama that will surely give you a smile in your heart
For sure your eyes have met quite a number of good reviews about this drama and I am doing one too to spread the same sentiments. It was not explicitly said that this one was a continuation of the Wang-Wang couple’s first drama together in “Once We Get Married” but somehow I can’t help but think because that time I wished them of having a child and it was made possible in this drama. So much has been said about how ideal the chemistry of the leads, the child actor that overwhelmed us all with his cuteness and undeniable acting skills, a story that was not too glossy but has its own luster because of its execution, the whole cast that showed decent acting, and the well-matched song choices (I personally like the English one played at the start of each episode) that lifted the mood of romance even more.
In addition, I’d like to mention other things that I deemed pride of this drama too.
One, the creative design of the introductory part was eye-catching. It was made playful using a mix of realistic cartoon styles that prematurely soothed my feelings for a good impression of this drama.
Next, the male lead and the kid actor’s small facial expressions and orchestrated mannerisms that I can’t resist but acknowledge their power to make me smile in certain scenes where both exhibited it. Their interactions as father and son materialized a sight of what a wonderful experience to have a child of your own.
Then, the character of Hardy and Cindy, who played the role of a loyal and ever-supportive assistant and an adoptive older sister to the male lead respectively, ironically bit roles in terms of screen exposure but big in providing support and convenience to the life of the ML. They were the cool jesters in this drama who naturally acted it out.
Finally, it was admirable for the creator to include narrative scenes of women experiencing sexual harassment in the workplace commonly by those of higher authority as perpetrators. Their cause was not entirely for the entertainment value of the show alone but did a conscious effort in carrying out a socio-civic responsibility for the viewers. It was reiterated that silence was not an option for any victims to ensure self-protection and dignity preservation but rather a form of tolerance that may result in a repeat misdemeanor.
This drama centered on a young couple’s life with a son and how they successfully formed their family again. I thought of giving it a 9.5 rate at first but I have a change of heart after the final episode and then recalled everything I watched. The main couple has the most wholesome kisses (expect a lot here) yet looked passionately daring. There was never a scene where they were not emotionally connected. I felt the love they have for each other as if they were couples in real life. I felt the sadness in FL's weeping scenes and I acknowledged. that Wang Yu Wen is one actress gifted with natural acting skills. This drama totally captured my heart, and so yeah, it was a 10 for me.

Once You Got Married Second Season in alternate reality
Just imagine; they got married in last season but broke up. She came back with a child and the guy pursue her again. No angst, no prolonged misunderstanding, just a bit wishy washy FL who still stuck up with their conflict in the past. The chemistry of the two leads is bomb. Their chemistry with the child is literally upgraded into nuclear; they can walk in the street as family and no one would question them.
This time there is no stalker following FL, and her best friends actually got their own couple.

A show that made me mad and happy at the same time
I'll be honest, I dropped this show three times while watching. It took me more than 3 months to finish this show even though I'm on a career break and have lots of free time. All this because it gets too annoying and trope-y for me at points to just ignore and power through.Having said that, there are some things that I like.
- First, the child actor and Cindy. Some really great acting by both their characters that had me wishing for more screen time constantly. They make you grow fond of the characters which are simply fun and easy going. It's characters like these that make the show an easy watch.
- I also enjoyed the way they handled the topic of sexual harassment at workplace. By their initial ignorance to the issue from Min Hui's perspective, I was mad. It was just another East Asian show where this was going to be a given and nobody does anything about it. But they way she pivots when here junior is affected, take actions, counsels her and makes sure the perpetrator suffers for her makes me so proud and so happy. They have aptly covered all aspects of this issue - how the survivor is conflicted, how they feel, how they can overcome it, their options, and the best the support provided when they voice out their story. Absolutely proud that this was handled so sensitively and nicely. Though a little trigger warning before the episode with her junior would've been nice considering how it was depicted in detail.
- As a Li Chuan fan, might I add that I loved his character and acting. I think he was the one with the most character development and I'm all for it. The way he improved as a person/lover for Zi Zhu is amazing. Though it still blows my mind how easily they've shown him recover from a love of four years. I do not believe in bullshit like you can't unlove someone so easily. People fall out of love just like that. There are all kinds of people. But some story development would've been nice to make it seem more realistic to many people.
- Lastly, both the leads were fantastic in their acting. I just have so many problems with their characters that I can't just overlook that and appreciate the actors more. Plus their chemistry did not seem natural to me at all and seemed very forced for the most part. Like, I can't believe I was skipping kissing scenes. Come on, I live for those!
Now the things I absolutely hate:
- Lack of consent, privacy and the glorification of stalking. The male lead quite literally did not take no for an answer when Min Hui told him she's not interested in taking whatever they have forward. It's like the same argument harassers give that she did not mean it. No one cares if she meant it or not, it's for her to decide whether she meant it or not. Not for you to test it out. He literally acts like a stalker by crashing her dates, using their son and also lying to get her attention. This blatant ignorance of consent has made me very very angry.
- Min hui dragging out the entire denial for so long. After a point it just feels useless and just a torture for the ML which she seems to be enjoying quite clearly. Like, you love him, just admit. Why make him suffer unnecessarily? It's not always cute acting too hard to get. You have a kid together, you're not some 16 year old teenager to pull off nonsense like this. It makes me so angry at the unnecessary plot.
- The drag that this show is. This show did not need 28 episodes. It could have been very nicely wrapped up under 20. Just every little plot/trope was so dragged out in this story with lots of filler content. Like the last two episodes are literally so extra.
- The unrealistic expectation of majority people here to demonise Min Hui for not telling him about his kid, Just donating your sperm (in a way, just giving an analogy) does not make you a father. The guy literally was angry with her (I'm not saying that his anger was not justified but at the end of the day he was beyond pissed), refused to talk to her or hear her out and then vanished. The woman learns of her pregnancy. What do you expect? She should travel 7 continents to find him? What load of crap! She gave birth to the child alone, faced the pregnancy alone and was taking care of a sick child alone. She deserves the right to decide if she then wants to involve the father in his life or not. It is very easy to sit on the other side and say she should've told him but do you even realise how difficult it is to do so? She was scared he would take away her only family, the child was already sick and was clearly very dependant on her as his mother - she had to consider everything before she simply revealed to him who the child is once they met again.
All in all, the good overshadowed the bad for me. I went through the entire show more for the secondary couples than our lead couple here because that just got way too boring for me. Also, the business storyline in itself was pretty addictive for me to just ignore. If you can overlook some red flags, the show is an easy watch with lots of cute moments between different couples and an intriguing business plot. Would recommend watching this with your brain kept aside to not question every single thing. Happy watching!

I liked the story. Leads acting was goods . Quan Quan is adorable and he is so smart always helping his parents to get back together. I rewatch clips from this drama a lot. I know this kind of story has been repeated but this drama is enjoyable to watch. I skipped second and third lead scene many time. Their story was not that much necessary. I loved to watch Quan Quan, Min Hui & Xin Qi scenes together. Want a friend like Cao Mu who supportive.
Loved the opening & ending track.
