rushed & manga-style
The two ML's are handsome and watchable, but the plot is way too rushed, like watching on fast-forward! In one episode, the ML - one of them - gives his 1st night to the boss, breaks up with him, gets back with him etc.The cold overbearing ML is a tad creepy, he seems to be AFTER the new intern, not INTO him. Like a predator going after his incredulous prey, and playing with it before biting.
Luckily its a short series...

Sweet Manager-Employee BL
**Brief Synopsis**B (Intern): Seung Hyeon
T (Manager): Kim
Beginning: B is a new intern at T’s company. They start out as strangers but soon because of work they start getting more time to interact. From the beginning, B is obviously attracted to T because his approach has an effect on him. And from the beginning, T shows interest in B, not only getting him to sit in on a meeting he shouldn’t be at but also getting him to work with him on an important project.
Middle: Not before long, T kisses B and asks him out. They have to keep it a secret but they still find ways to keep it romantic at work.
End: But before they could have their happy ending, B sees a pen engraved with the initials of the person who broke his heart in school. Realizing that T had dated, B leaves runs away, unable to accept the situation. Later, T finds him, after realizing what had happened, and apologizes and wishes for a second chance to better understand him. B agrees and vows to be more honest in the future. Later B applies to be a regular employee but doesn’t get in. T upon hearing his quits the company and opens a new company and hires B to work for him.
**My Opinion**
WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT
- I love the two women B tells his experiences with T to. These two love to compare his experience to BL manga. It’s like breaking the fourth wall.
- I love their subtle acts of affection while on company hours, such as holding hands while taking a nap on his shoulder.
- I really like how romantic T is, bringing him out to dinner and setting up a private movie viewing.
- I like how everyone is not satisfied with T but can’t do anything with him because he brings in half of the company’s profits.
- I’m glad the angst made both of them grow emotionally and changed their relationship for the better.
- The acting is pretty on point. The characters have chemistry and I could easily feel the awkwardness that usually comes with first love. They look so happy together, it’s really magical.
- I liked the camerawork on kissing scenes. It makes fake kissing less noticeable.
- I loved the ending where T quits the company when corrupt business practices refused B as an employee. They ended up opening a new company together.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT IT
- Angst once again caused by a lack of communication but at least this time it was resolved quickly because T is an adult who knows what he wants.
- There are a lot of cliches but they don’t make the story bad.
**Conclusion**
Simple boss-employee relationship story.

Overripe Banana
I like office romances. It's only natural to fall for someone you see at every day! The New Employee is every office romance cliché imaginable and it works for the most part. The sneaking around, the shared resentment towards other coworkers and office politics, the rare brightness of connection amidst mundanity of paperwork taps into something potent for a viewer that you can't help but smile. I think the office romance genre exists to boost morale and I may never even wind up working in a 9-5 but that fairytale has its own charm. It's certainly better than A Boss and a Babe but it's no Cherry Magic or Old Fashioned Cupcake. The chemistry of the leads is present but hindered by how chaste it is, thoroughly lacking in drive or passion. Their big third act resolution grand gesture of love is not a ring or even a kiss, it's a business venture. This has a seed of values I despise but it's fleshed in cute things. It's an overripe banana, too sweet and even appealing on some days but oh honey you definitely know it's gone bad.Was this review helpful to you?
Cute Story for a binge watch
Followed closely Manga except the spicy parts. was a cute story to watch. Nothing toxic. what i liked was also how they showed the workplace jealousy. Have a friend who worked in Korea, said its all about what university you went. They had like groups in their company that only promoted their uni alumni. Was a cute simple manga and a cute drama. A typical Korean approach to BL.
Will i rewatch it? don't think so, but maybe read the manga again.
Recommendation for Great Korean BLs always welcomed

Nice and all, but forgettable
I have to be honest, I binged until ep 6 and then waited 3 days for ep 7 and then forgot most of what happened by the point I watched ep 7.Don't get me wrong, it's perfectly .... nice.
It's cute and light, the actors have good chemistry. There are some really cool and fun moments.
Then some angst happens which was written kind of in a weak way, made no sense, but not unusual for BL. Then it was easily resolved and then End. *shrug*
I feel like I can't even say much, because I forgot so mich already, even though I watched everything last week. Maybe if the script was stronger, maybe if it had more run time, it could have been better, but I don't think this drama aimed for anything but light and cute.
Since it's quite short, it's perfectly fine to watch if you got nothing else to watch, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone.

Short and Sweet
Overall I enjoyed the series. With just a little over 2 hours of screen time, the show unfortunately didn't have much time to develop characters or intricate plot-points.
However, that doesn't mean the story felt rushed - in fact at times it felt surprisingly slow. But I think that's in part due to the specific genre.
It's the kind of Slice-of-Life/Romance show where you can turn your brain off and just enjoy the fluff.
So, if that's your thing you'll love this story.

One of the cutest dramas
If you're a fan of cute couples, then I recommend you to watch The New Employee! Since the begining, you can see how cute Seunghyun is: always so smiley, hardworking and trying his best! With someone like that, who wouldn't fall in love? He even melted Jongchan's heart, who everyone knew as a man who only thinks about work and is very serious about it.I wished they showed more about them as a couple, because most of the time they are together is when they're in the company, working in some projects together and I also expected to get more from the two girls who are Seunghyun's friends, they seem to have similar interests and I'd love to watch a drama of them too. I still wonder who was drawing this very specific manhwa they were reading, it would be so funny if it was one of the main boys!
Overall, it's a very interesting story and really well made, altought I feel it was a bit rushed in the begining, but it doesn't make it less enjoyable and I would tell my friends about this if they asked me for a good bl drama recommendation.

It gets better with every passing episode
First of all .... Good kisses... Which are not peck or dead fish kiss but actually satisfying 💋The characters are realistic or I may add a bit too realistic.
The cold lead is not actually cold but a cool guy with charm of his own.
The sweet guy is way too sweet with his cute dimples and smiley face.
The story revolves around office and makes a point to show that people are actually working!
As mentioned above, the story gets cute with passing episodes but I felt the ending a little rushed. A final kiss at the end could have been perfect but anyway a good attempt by korean BL makers.
Do watch if you don't have much on hand and love small cute BLs

It's a simple and light hearted story.A office romance that is really heart warming and cute!!
No intimately since but so what. I just needed a light drama. And that was what I was just looking for.
They had good chemistry, looked good together.
Not thrilling but not boring either. Made me after a long and hard day at school, smile, giggle and kick my feet. LOVED IT. I looked every Wednesday forward to watching it. Made my days soo much better and I want it to make others too soon I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE.
100% would rewatch and I have.

A fluffy bl with a very relatable story!
A very cute bl series with characters and plot you can relate on! The chemistry between the main leads are so cute! The casting for this show is some of the best i have seen for any BL! Everything was on point! It is indeed a breathe of fresh air to see actual LGBT representation in a BL along with the fantasy element of a perfect BL rom-com! We definitely need more shows like these! Definitely worth to watch! ❤️Was this review helpful to you?
Simply The Best ❣
I can't express of how much i love this series ❣ Sifting through the MUCK of BL shows, i keep coming back to this one of a kind gem...of a star ✨ Everything with production is done in a brilliant way that only talented people can do, BUT....The actors 🥰 ...ALL of them are incredible ! The two main BL interest are just beyond talented, but all the side characters are just as integral for this "completely perfect feeling of a group effort"I don't know why, but the Koreans seem to do these dramas perfectly. The Lady's: Baek Ji-hye, Nam Kyu-Hee, and one of my all time favorites... 💖Ye Ji-won 💖all add a fresh and humorous depth to let the viewer feel like they are viewing reality and also wants to be hired at this same company ! As the great Tina Turner sang.... "Simply The Best"

Virou meu bl conforto
