Interesting time loop BL
The question in my mind when I started watching this series: you mean this is a TWELVE-episode series about a doctor who has to keep going back in time until he saves this person. (Won't it get boring by Ep 2? And how on earth do you have BL if the protagonist is just going back in time to do something different to save the person in the ER?Expectedly, the only way to avoid repetitions with few possible variations is for the doctor to go back to different points in time. And the ostensible mission he's given is modified: it may not really be about saving this one guy he doesn't even really care about at first.
Yet, the series surprises with rather nuanced characterization. The characters seem a bit different from one loop to another, showing how slight changes to one's experiences can have significant changes to one's values and character. There is a lot of fun in the time loop premise, but the series avoids being frivolous. Ultimately, it seems to be saying that, unlike the characters, we don't have multiple chances to try again in life and it is important to do what is right--a bit of kindness can change everything for the better while a moment of callousness can make everything turn out unexpectedly terrible.
It takes quite a few episodes to get to the BL. I think this is evidence of confidence that the story is good enough to draw audiences in even without the BL. No one finds it necessary to make the lead actors bare skin or have a kissing scene in Episode 1 when the story doesn't call for it (compare this with series in which someone dreams of or fantasizes about a kiss in Ep 1 just so that there is a kissing scene to titillate the audience).
While the main characters are flawed, they need to be characters we care enough about before the time loops can be interesting. And this is deftly handled. Dr Tin has a back story and his character changes as he undergoes the time loops--from trying to save Tol just so that he can get out of the time loops, he becomes someone who genuinely cares. The story also becomes more intriguing as Dr Tin discovers more things each time he returns to the past. The stakes also get higher with each return to the past, so there is a lot to keep us watching.
Triage may not seem exceptional at first, but it is certainly one of the more unusual Thai ELs. Don't be deceived by the hospital setting. For a story with a strong supernatural element, the medical drama parts are surprisingly good (at least to someone who doesn't have much medical knowledge like me). But this isn't just another BL featuring a doctor.

I'm tired... Also, justice for Rit please.. I beg of you..
Okay.. do not crucify me for this, but god this was exhausting to watch... It successfully made me feel stuck in a loop with them.By episode 10 I felt depressed realizing I still had 3 episodes left to watch and it just felt tedious...
Just like someone else mentioned, ep 10 was definitely my least favorite episode and admittedly I sped through the last 10 minutes. But unfortunately that was just the beginning of the end for me. I ended up watching most of the other episodes on 2x speed, which I have never done before. To be fair I also skipped through manner of death so perhaps this is just not my thing, but every choice made just aggravated me.
Now let me say that I understand where people are coming from when they hype this show up. It's different and more mature rather than your regular fluffy BL. But 'Not me' (another 'not fluffy' bl ) was easily incredible on its own and compared to this it is a god send that no one but a celestial being could have created and blessed us with. I usually don't like comparing shows, especially when they are vastly different from one another. But to call this the best show when other shows like that are out there feels a little bit too strongly worded... I also think the experience usually feels better when you watch it slowly over time, because you tend to forget some of the details. I on the other hand binged it within 24 hours and witnessed a different flow because of that.
Side note : OMG Jinta's laughter at 2x speed sounds like a reptilian call xD Why is that honestly the best thing ever.
Okay let's get into the show a little more. When I watch fluffy shows I normally only review them on whether they made me have a giggle and some sweet aww moments. If you can do that, you are pretty much good to go. With shows like this however I get really analytical and I crave the intellectual stimulation. This show in particular reminded me of watching a horror movie where all the characters just simply don't have the ability to rationally think for a moment.
At episode 2, I already found myself screaming at Tin to do an autopsy and testing to find the actual cause of death. Sure the accident was what caused him to go to the hospital, but how exactly did it occur and why exactly was CPR not enough to save him. Instead we see a montage of him doing the exact same things over and over and over again for what seems like weeks reliving the same moment. Not a single time did it occur to him to find out more about his patient, the accident or why the loop even exists. Which SPOILER ALERT, never gets clarified. The loop just exists and that's it. Jinta is a being with too much free time and thought this would be a fun case to solve. When Tin finally gets to the point of maybe trying to stop the accident rather than trying to save Tol in the aftermath, he genuinely thinks he can just walk up to another person in scrubs at a uni and tell them they will die tonight? Or you know start a sentence with: hey is this your girlfriend? You may want to be careful.. OFCOURSE he would bust your face in when you start a convo with a stranger like that... How is this man qualified for anything? It's not his intelligence that worries me, it's his rational thinking and human insight that seems to be lacking.
I'm just gonna throw it randomly in here, but I don't like Gap. And I don't understand how Gap and Sing even got together in the end. There was nothing consistent in the last few loops, everything was already different from the get go before they even made a change in the timelines. Somehow that resulted in Gap and Sing getting together off screen in Tol's time travel loop. Which didn't surprise me, because I was wondering how on earth they would get the two of them together when they also are reset every time. Watching this all in one go also made me hyper aware of how little romantic development there is between Tol and Tin until Tin DECIDES that he needs to be Tol's bf to end the loop. This was more a head decision that he made rather than being shown having genuine feelings for Tol and being unable to help himself in wanting to be with him. Tol also starts to remember some fragments of the past cycle in order to obviously speed up the justification for his 2 day turn around in seemingly falling for Tin when he has a gf. (Okay this entire review comes with side notes but, I know we all love and appreciate that gender isn't made into a big deal. But even though this is a BL show, some people just genuinely are straight or prefer to be in straight relationships regardless of their orientation. The assumption that everyone will swing both ways all the time or even by default will be into the other person is a little tiring sometimes too.) Anyway apparently the only thing that will give Tol a heart attack without fail is to see Mai with another guy at the party, but being chased with a gun and having your Bf? die was only a bit of a depressive slump. Okay okay I won't be too critical off this, since heart attacks don't consistently work where they will occur in any stressful or painful/overwhelming situation. I just took note of it, but I'll let that one slide.
Quick question however, how did Art choke on the 17th when he was always fine on the 18th? And the same with our little kitty. Why do things change the further back in time you go before the butterfly effect can even do it's thing? Why does nothing that Tin does on his phone or notebook get erased? I seriously doubt he looked Tol up in the loop on the 17th, so why was he still in his FB search history. Why is everyone so sloppy with coming up with decent working plans. It's like they go with whatever just pops up first in their minds. Gap just stands still for 3 minutes straight, listening to how Sing is held under gun shot and all he does is repeatedly go ''hello? Hello sing?? Sing? hello?'' ,,, my dude, are seriously going to be this helpless?
Tin just simply stares and waits until the guy with the gun at the award party finds Rit and Tol under the table before making his move.. Why not cause a distraction? Why not just immediately plan for attack? Why did you look like you were going to walk straight up towards him when you first spotted him? So many questionsssss. But this one is seriously one that bothers me ... here it comes.. WHY DID YOU NOT SNEAK AWAYYYY! When Tin and Tol are hiding, the guy literally passes by them without seeing them in some god send miracle. But what does Tin decide to do instead of sneaking out of the door? He SNEAKS up to the guy to choke him, gets overpowered and shot -.- this literal eejit! I don't think I need to even talk about Doctor Doi, he is just a mess and I don't feel like discussing him at all. Whether on purpose or by accident, it's fine, his little raging dog moment in the end was just exhausting but I sped through it so idk it's fine. I'm fine, we're all fine. My sanity is gone, but I'm fine. At episode 11/12 I had officially given up, my energy was simply gone and I couldn't master any more words to argue about the never ending saga of events. I just can't ... Also... sweetie if you have to pretend to be dead, don't breathe/// In the ending scene where they do an autopsy on the doctor you can totally see his stomach move up and down.
Moral of the story?": Why does this exist, I don't know. There is no point being made, there is no resolution to why this show even exists and what or who Jinta was and the mysterious time loop that all started on one faithed night on the 18th at 10:55pm.
Last but not least, can someone pretty pretty pleaseeeeee give Rit his justice. Rit was my favorite character the entire show and I felt SO bad for him. He got done dirty by almost everyone, always involuntarily gets in the middle of chaos and simply deserves so much more. I don't care if it a man or a woman, I just need someone to show him some love. I was so sad when I realized he wouldn't be paired up with anyone, but also slightly relieved because no one was that likeable. Most characters were either not on screen enough to get to know them or they weren't all that kind. Even Tin and Tol aren't necessarily kind people. Tin does whatever works best for him and Tol seems like a moody teenager most of the time and hurts Rit in the process.
All I want is justice for Rit.
After finishing this show I needed to watch some stand up in order to get my sanity back.

Tropes: time loop, age gap, medical drama, fated mates
Tin, a doctor, gets stuck in a time loop where he must stop a college kid from dying and expose a sinister back-market organ trade, in order to escape the loop. I am NOT a fan of time-loop narratives (I think I’m the only person on the planet who actively hates Groundhog Day) but I DO like a strong premise and the way they unfolded the plot was more like a mystery. In this Triage worked better for me than the actual mystery did in sister-show Manner of the Death. It was smart, I liked that. Also Fiat blond is v cute. One of the greatest things about Triage was that all of the characters were complex but not necessarily likable, more pleasingly flawed. TinTol gave a great mutual kiss. (Look some of us have been waiting 5 years for it!) And the twist around who has to fix the timeline was elegant. Jinta = The ultimate BL Shipper: turns back time so his boys can be cannon. Also teaching Tol a lesson in forgiveness and communication. This is a CLEVER show.
Where Triage falls down, for me, like Manner of Death, is going to be in rewatchability. Once the element of surprise is removed, there isn’t enough romance holding this show together to make me want to rewatch it. But I think the story is a lot stronger for having not been all that romantic. It’s just, I happen to be a romantic at heart.
Ultimately, I liked Triage a lot, I thought the plot was good if a little redundant and occasionally exhausting. The pairs were all well done, low heat but with decent chemistry and the support characters were great. Still, this felt less BL than it does gay time-slip suspense. If anything, the romance arc detracted and distracted from the main plot. But I’m in BL for the romance, and the rewatchability, and Triage had very little of either, so I’m giving a lower than expected score, knowing this is going on many people’s best of the year lists. And I can totally understand why.

Butterfly Effects keep things interesting and not reptitive
Completed - 8/6/2022After this year’s very popular hit C-drama “Reset” with a similar topic of time loop, I wasn’t sure if “Triage” could top it. I am usually not a big fan of the time loop theme, but due to the overwhelming praises for both dramas, I decided to watch them, and I am glad I did. Both dramas live up to the expectations. I am actually surprised I liked “Triage” quite a lot.
Not sure if there’s a production relation between “Triage” and “Manner of Death” but I was really hoping this would be a much better drama. I was quite disappointed with “Manner of Death”. Luckily, the overall plot and execution in “Triage” are a lot better and do not leave too many plot holes even though it could be quite difficult for a time loop theme. However, I have to say that the chemistry of the leads pales in comparison to Max and Tul.
I was not sure what Tin saw in Tol during the first few loops to fall in love with him. I didn’t think Tol was that likable and with Tin focusing on saving him, the chemistry wasn’t quite there for me. Once Tin got to know Tol after a few more loops, then I can see a little more chemistry (still not enough). However, I think the acting of Tin and Tol are just OK, and not amazing. Maybe that’s why I am not feeling the chemistry, especially when I might have subconsciously compared them to the leads in “Manner of Death”.
Regarding the plot,I was not totally invested in the story until about episode 3. The first two episodes have rapid fire time loops to showcase Tin’s frustrations in the process. But then the story slowly unfolds, like peeling an onion. I then realized the whole plot is more than just saving Tol. Side characters are slowly and smartly introduced. The time loops are so well executed that I don’t find them repetitive at all. With each time loop and butterfly effect, the story changes. We can then see how each side story is tied together to create the big central plot. I am still not quite sure why this all started. Was it because of the prayer Tin made when he was young? Is that why he was selected and given the chance to redo everything? I guess that’s for the viewer to interpret themselves.
One big initial concern of mine before I start watching this drama is whether medical procedures would be believable. Medical dramas are a hit-or-miss, mostly a miss. I am not a medical professional, so I can’t say everything they did in the drama is correctly done. But to my untrained eyes, it’s at least passable and not too fake. Unfortunately, I couldn’t say the same thing for the medical procedures and autopsies done in “Manner of Death”.
If you are looking for a more mature Thai BL drama that’s not in a school setting, I definitely recommend this. If you enjoy medical dramas and time loops, this is the drama for you. “Triage” might not top “Not Me” as my most favorite Thai BL drama to date, but I still had a very enjoyable time watching it.
p.s Wait.. I just realized I didn't notice/remember any product placement!! That's a first in a Thai drama for me!!!
Other Random Observations:
1. It’s nice to see a surprise guest appearance
2. All the women in this drama are pretty!!
3. Unfortunately, I only found Dr. Sing to be the only good-looking man in this drama.
4.Acting is decent overall
5. The professor really could get away with a lot of things in the hospital, even though they are security cameras everywhere.
6. Music is not memorable to me.

Feels like a fanfic written by an inexperienced teen.
And yet I enjoyed it so much. Let’s get real - the writing of everything except for the romance was laughable. When I found out that the actors actually had some training with the professionals, it made it even worse. Without it, I could excuse it on the lack of research, but there was some effort put into it, so why is the result so bad?All that, it was pure entertainment. I must say, I actually enjoyed the villain the most. He had such a massive negative brain energy I could not stop laughing watching his shenanigans. Especially in the last episodes, everything was so dramatic, when realistically speaking nothing made much sense. It had its cons though - I felt nothing, no pain, no angst, no sadness - nothing. The lack of brains from the villain and the plot completely distracted me from actually connecting to the characters.
Then we have the medical aspect. It was so bad I honestly don’t even want to talk about it. The glorious closeups to the actors' faces as the medical procedures are happening, because the actor cannot deliver them in a realistic way - this tells you all you need to know.
Putting the villain and the medical aspects aside (which means just ignoring a massive portion of the plot lol), the romance itself was great. I liked how they emphasized that the characters make each other better, and how you need to put an actual effort in relationships - no first love type of a deal. The chemistry was great and very natural - no awkwardness, unless the scene literally demanded it.
I also had no issues with the performances. There were no groundbreaking deliveries, but everyone did a good job with their respective roles.
Overall, it was so dumb it ended up being great.

A Solid Story, An Amazing Cast
What A Ride! Definitely On of My Favorites.NOTE: If you have not yet watched this series, and are looking for it on YouTube, look for every episode before you get vested. In total, 3 of the episodes, including the last two are extremely difficult to find. I am hoping this series will be picked up by Viki or Netflix, etc. because I am not sure I will be able to find it again. Very disappointing to have to search for an episode in the middle of a series, but some of the youtube videos listed have been removed.
By the Same Writer as Manner of Death, the story is exceptionally well done, with lots of twists and turns.
After watching a couple of episodes, I thought the time loop thing was starting to get monotonous, but right about the time I was wondering if I wanted to keep watching, other things started to happen - and did not stop throughout the series. Honestly, I binge watched this, I plan on watching it again in a couple of weeks, so I can pick up any nuances I may have missed.
I really only had one criticism of the series - the portrayal of the "so called Angel". He certainly was not a "guiding light". His character was apparently cast as a combination of arrogance and humor, whereas a bit of sympathy and encouragement would have suited "an Angel better". I get that the character was necessary, his personality was not, and it grated on my nerves a bit - here are so many persons going through trauma, and this Angel doesn't seem to care. Not enough to lower my rating, because compared to most bl's out there, this one is a definite must see.
As far as the ending, it did feel a little rushed - still it ended with fast twists and turns - you will know what I mean when you watch the last episode. Enjoy!!

Brillant Story
Triage wins the "best Plot" award of 2022, and I'm already writing that down for when I do my "Best and Worst of 2022" list later this year. Wow, what a freaking ride. From beginning to end, the audience is thrown into the life and loops of Dr. Tin, who fights to save the life of a man he deems irresponsible when they first meet. Triage is a deep and tear-jerking drama that deals with a complicated plot in the best way I think I've ever seen done in a BL series.Let's Dive In.
Triage was directed and screen written by the same amazing man that make "Manner of Death" in 2020, with us even getting a few cameos with the leads from MOD's themselves (which at the end, it may imply a season 2 or a spinoff of both series combined). He did the same thing he did over there, which is to focus more on the storytelling and the overall appeal of the storyline than the actual BL of it all. And I think it works pretty well in this, except for the fact that Tin and Tol's romance isn't as strong as it could be. But no wonder why Triage is as heart-wrenching and as thrill-packed as was in MOD.
There is just no plot like this one. Tin has to continue going through loops until he can save Tol's life, on top of trying to see if he can save the other's lives around him. It's magnificent. At first, I was scared that with so many different conflicts going on in the series, it would leave plot holes or forget key details, but it never wavers. We get the complete story of Rit, Mai's mom, Dr. Sak, Dr. Doi, Fang, etc. And nothing felt rushed or last-minute, it was all told with very keen detail and in a timely manner. I think the best part is when you, as the audience, finally got enough detail to put two and two together and you can figure it out as Dr. Tin does. I also like that they switched things up and made Tol fight to save Tin's life. Everything was crisp and clean, fun and entertaining, and as perfect as it could be.
The character development in this is so good. Literally the best part. Tin is this very stoic man who hates drunk drivers after his accident with his sister, and he doesn't appreciate his life as he use to until he's put into this predicament where he has to learn the value of living and surviving and we see such growth in him that it's very obvious by the end. Tol is almost the same way, with him being very brooding and harsh, but through all of this he learns to be kinder. Growth is evident in each character, Mai, Heart, Rit, Gap, Sing, Fang, literally everyone. And even some not-so-good growth that we see with Dr. Doi when he goes crazy.
Moving on to the romances in the series, let's start with Tin and Tol. Now Tin has to continuously see Tol die in every loop that he goes through, and the only way to get Tol to not drive or "drink" is to get closer to him, and even come up with the conclusion that Tol needed to fall for Tin so that Tin could get him to not drive, or not do too much to his heart. It's the perfect setup for a deep romance - imagine falling for someone and having to have them fall in love with you all over again and again -- seems pretty harsh, but the premise of it all is genius. But I think it was probably the weakest in terms of plot. Their first kiss seemed a bit off-putting since we only see Tin trying to stop the incident from happening and not so much trying to get Tol to fall for him. I feel like there was only one real moment in which I could really feel the connection and the yearning to be with one another, other than that, it kind of fell flat for me. The ending is satisfying though, and I loved seeing Tae and Tee as a paring again.
Moving onto our other side couple, Gap and Sing. Due to the loops, Gap and Sing end up together during the last loop, so we get to see them being pretty cute and domestic. Before then, Gap just had a very minor crush on the doctor, and Sing was pretty much just a straight-up asshole who didn't know how to go about his feeling for Gap. In fact, I think it was a bit too harsh for me to wish for them to be together. If anything, I was rooting for Gap and Rit for a while since it seemed that Gap brought down his stern walls to really open himself up to Rit. But in the last loop, they were pretty cute, so I'll give them that.
All the supporting characters did so well, even down to the ones with very few lines. I loved Toi and his supportive and energetic aura, Jinta was by far one of my favorite characters, and he pulled the cynical, yet helpful angel role off perfectly. Dr. Doi is so evil that I practically loved him. He falls so much into his schemes with Dr. Sak that he goes insane. Perfect. Art was the cutest, and I really wish that they would girl Mild another leading role. For the characters that I didn't really care for, would maybe have to be Heart and Mai, or really Mai's story in general. Of course, without her, there wouldn't be any plot, but I couldn't understand why Tin was interested in saving her mother when it wasn't necessarily his responsibility. Save Tol and move on. I could say the same for Win and Lookprae.
Ratings:
Story: 9 - Very crisp and very detailed. Nothing was left out, everything was covered, and it moved in perfectly formatted waves. I think the romance of Tin and Tol (even Gap and Sing) could've been better, so I'll take a star off.
Acting - 8.5 - Everyone did great, but Morris (Jinta) and Tae (Tin) stood out the most. I think Gap's actor was a little weak at times, and so was Mai's. But overall, acting was one of the better parts of Triage.
Music: 7 - I didn't really pay attention to it, so it was there.
Rewatch Value: 3 - definitely something I could rewatch if a season 2 is to happen.
Overall, a very entertaining watch, and I look forward to a hopeful season 2. I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a complex plot or something action-packed.

5 reasons why you should start watching Triage right now!
You probably came here wondering if you should watch this series or not and let me tell you:you should definitely watch it! I will tell you a few reasons why:
1 - The plot is great!
This is just not your standard bl, the plot is unique and the story is so well developed!
2 - The acting is amazing.
They did it right with this cast. Never once I felt the acting was off. Besides that, the main actors have great chemistry!
3 - Mature and interesting characters.
You know when you are watching a show and the characters are so childish and annoying that it just ruins everything? This doesn't happen here! I enjoyed the role played but Tae a lot! Tin is is smart, caring and nice. I wasn't expecting to like him this much!
4 - 2moons
If you watched 2moons you might have felt frustrated that we didn't get that many scenes with Beam and Forth. This series will fulfill the romance the deserved and needed.
5 - If you enjoy medical dramas, this show is for you!
It is noticeable how they paid attention to the medical explanations. Throughout the series, there are explanations of diseases and medical procedures. You can tell they tried to be as accurate as possible.
So if you like romance mixed with medicine this is it!
Also, if you liked hospital playlist, you might like this one!

It was so close to being so good...
Tldr; First ~10 episodes--Fantastic. Last ~3 episodes--Hot mess.The Good:
- Great characters
- Real chemistry between main couple
- Interesting time-loop storyline that for the most part is handled really well
- Gets better with every loop and keeps you on the edge of your seat
- There's a lot more going on behind the scenes that slowly but surely gets revealed as you progress through the show
- Genuinely unique and interesting storyline
The Not So Good:
- The ending was absolutely rushed; they bit off way more than they could chew in 13 episodes.
- Major plot points that appeared at the beginning were never touch on in the end
- Copped out at the end with the antagonist and just having him "go crazy" as opposed to actually having an ending with some substance
- They made some weird choices with how they wrapped up Tin and Tol's relationship at the end (it's still a HEA ending, but they really dropped the ball on a lot of things)
All the Thoughts:
I'm so sad the show finished the way it did. It legitimately had such great potential, and the first 10 episodes were great! The show got better and better with each loop--the characters were well thought out, and you could see both the individual character growth and the relational growth between characters--not only between Tin and Tol, but their relationship with others as well. The relationship between Tin and Tol developed really well, and they had really good chemistry together on screen. By the time they were officially together, you could clearly see a deep bond and love between the two of them.
As for the storyline itself, like I said at the beginning, it was SO CLOSE to being SO GOOD! It had a unique premise with the time loop, and the story had so much depth beyond the surface of "Guy goes back in time over and over again to save his lover." There was so much more that was going on behind the scenes, and it was really cool how interconnected everything was and how they teased it out from episode to episode and time loop to time loop.
But, unfortunately, the show really fell apart in the last 3 or so episodes, especially the last two. They really tried to do way too much all at once. It was like they bit off more than they could chew, and when they realized they still had all these things to tie up and only had two episodes to do it in, they just shoved it all in and said, "Yeah! That'll work!" And it just turned out a mess. The characters were making blatantly stupid decisions (especially considering these were supposed to be *adults* with freaking *medical degrees*), such as not calling the police or just running headlong into danger when there were *clearly* better, safer, and much more effective options. They also really copped out at the end with the antagonist, just making him "go crazy" as opposed to doing something substantial with the organ trafficking storyline--which is TRAGIC. They had SO much potential to do something with a storyline that I've never seen in any other bl, and it touches on a major issue that is prevalent throughout the world. But instead they just landed on him going crazy, which was so disappointing.
I was also not a fan of how they wrapped up Tin and Tol's relationship. Again, like a lot of the rest of the ending, it was rushed, trying to shove too much into too few episodes, and you had to overlook a lot of stuff that just didn't make sense or was never actually explained. This was also so disappointing, because like I said earlier, up until this point, their relationship had been developing SO well, and the chemistry between the actors was fantastic. I just wish they would have given the two the ending they deserved. They also really dropped the ball on issues they made a big deal about in the first half of the season, but in the second half, they were just never mentioned again, which was also frustrating.
For setting being in a hospital, it was really nice to have it in a unique place that hasn't been touched on in very many bl's. If you have any kind of medical knowledge, you definitely have to overlook a number of things that are clearly done incorrectly or overly dramatized, but I don't think anyone's coming into this show with the intention to learn about the medical world. But it is nonetheless really nice to be outside of a Thai college (mostly).
So, all that to say, I enjoyed the first ~10 episodes tremendously, but, unfortunately, the last ~3 were an absolute hot mess. Am I glad I watched it? Yeah, I am, but I'm also really disappointed the ending didn't live up to the rest of the show.

Your first impression of this show is likely wrong. Please watch it!
I was sceptical of this medical drama because time loop stories aren’t really my thing, and it seemed overly convoluted/repetitive from the trailer. But now that I’ve watched it, I just want to say: I WAS WRONG. SERIOUSLY, GO WATCH TRIAGE.Triage sees the return of Tee and Tae, whom you may or may not recognise from 2moons as ForthBeam (wow time really flies). They don’t look immediately compatible as a couple, and their chemistry was a bit off at the start BUT trust me, they will grow on you eventually.
The story starts off with Tin, a doctor, repeating the shift where he fails to save Tol, a college student who was wheeled into the ER. At 10:55pm, he pronounces the kid dead. He falls asleep, wakes up, and he’s back at the start of his shift. To get out of this loop, he has to make sure Tol doesn’t die. Sounds simple enough, right? WRONG.
Saving Tin is a matter of going back in time and undoing/redoing events that led up to that fatal car accident. But each choice he makes leads to different consequences, sometimes more fatal than the last. Beyond romance, Triage drives home the point that every individual is part of a wider system, hinting at the fascinating possibilities of events that could unfold if minor adjustments were made within each life path.
Despite the time loop/time travel plot, which sounds rather intense, Triage was never unnecessarily confusing. Best of all, the story was unpredictable, and kept me guessing the entire way. What a gem of a drama!

A Fresh Tale in the World of BL: BL+ Medical Drama + Time Loop
Triage offers something different than the usual bl setup (just like KinnPorche does). And as a fan of time travel or time loop concepts, I really wanted to watch this one ever since the teaser was released. In addition to that, this drama is set in a medical background which makes it interesting. I liked the short film on this. All the performances are top-notch. Hoping the series gets better and better with each episode. I'm not seeing much hype on this. Hope it gets more attention from the BL fans.
I'm waiting for the rest of the episodes to give a detailed view.

Triage is a BL MasterPiece
I must say hats off to Sammon (Author of Manner of Death & Triage) because the writing in both series was really good.. but I did this post to applaud the stunning masterpiece that is Triage.. Tae and Tee's chemistry together is unparalleled and this show deserves all the flowers. Triage deserves way more than the terrible distribution TV Thunder has provided it with.. so I hope more people get to see and appreciate this masterpiece. Definitely Top 5 this year for me next to Blueming, Semantic Error, Cherry Blossom and Dear Doctor. Was this review helpful to you?
