Yokosuka in the early 1980s. The military town, which was once economically funded by the Vietnam War, lost its vitality and became a shadow of its former self. In this town Fumio survived through selling wares and also his body for US soldiers. One day Fumio is beaten by a group of thugs after a minor mistake until he can't move anymore. He is saved by an African American man called Al who happened to pass by. Although Al is a veteran he did not return to the United States after service and lived in Yokosuka as a professional jazz pianist. Fumio, who received kindness from a person for the first time, fell in love with Al. However, since Al is straight, he refuses Fumio. They do start to live together as close friends since Fumio has no place to live. Fumio decides to work in order to respond to Al's sincerity. He wants to buy a piano for Al but gets himself into danger again. (Source: douban) Edit Translation
