Plum Town (2022)

“Plum Town” follows Li Xiao, a young land developer who's made a life for himself in America working in smartphone manufacturing. Having grown up in the rural Chinese countryside witnessing first hand how farmers are struggling to make a living, he's returning home for the first time in decades to convince his stubborn father to finally sell the family plum orchard. Mr. Li, his father, is one of the few remaining farmers still desperately holding on to the past. To him, that's in the form of a plum orchard.
