The acting is good. Romance part isn't that much shown. The whole mystery/investigation was good. There's a lot of funny moments.
I like how the female lead is physically strong and good at martial arts, meanwhile the male lead is weaker but good at solving crimes.
Not much characters involved in the whole show which makes it easier to follow.
Overall, It’s a good short drama.
The whole drama combined is 2 hours long. It's perfect if you're looking for short drama to watch.

Ending A Big Disappointment
Unless it had been longer or a Part 2 to follow, this is a big sad nope for me!!I loved it at first and up until the ending was loving the interaction of ML and FL as they solved cases together with their own capabilities, falling in love in the process. UNTIL THE END and that's all I can say. If they have a Season 2 to finish it and make each episode longer, I will watch that for sure because I love the reversal in roles where the FL is the powerhouse and the ML is the "weaker" of the two as far as fighting skills, but adds his strength with his detective skills . I love Male and Female detectives working together in solving cases in ancient dramas to see how they did it back then. So please Directors, do better next time.

I Like It
I really enjoy this drama. The lead actors gave there performance total sincerity and made the drama believable. The lead female and male characters are wonderful and keep you entertain thru out the drama. it is a short drama but one of the best, I have seen with a great story that has mystery, suspense and great crime scenes. The lead female character is strong and with no nonsense kind of a girl. She is the head of her family and protects them very well. Her romance is cute and funny which has a twist and it keeps you on your toes. Very good drama and it is short. Love It.Was this review helpful to you?
Short, Cute, Worth watching for fun
Sometimes, (low production) dramas are better than you would expect them to be. And this is one example, in these 2 seasons with total of around 4h, we get action, some romance, and nice plot twists. Of course, I didn't expect much going into this, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the ML's brains and bravery, the FL's martial arts and bossiness, and of course their cute little romance which was quite understated in my opinion, but sweet.I would recommend watching this if you've got time on your hands and would like a short break from life. The ML was quite an eye candy for me, and I really admire his portrayal of the twins in s2 of the drama as well.

Great for a mini series
Loved the dynamic between the leads. Not too much extra sidestories to drag out the story and reasonable progression of storyline without rushing too much. One of the better mini series i have watched. The costumes are good. The sets are beautiful. The male lead is hilarious. The female lead is somewhat lacking in acting ability but the male lead makes up for it. There is a a subplot of murders and that adds to the suspense. A few loose ends that are explained in the second season. Overall though, there is a good balance of romance, suspense, and comedy.Was this review helpful to you?
A hidden gem!!!
This series deserve so much more than a 7.6 rating. The story line is not totally new but I love its twist: a physically strong FL and a street-smart ML (the opposite of Warm on a cold night, one of my fav series). The story progresses quite fast. Both FL and ML realise how they feel about each other quite early in the series. Mixed with some investigation and comedy here and there, it's a whole package!! The side characters are also funny, especially the two guys working in FL's house.If you like season 1, please watch season 2 also. A bit more serious but it brings something different.

Viki has shortened 2 seasons down to 6 episodes for each season for a total of 12, 1/2 hour shows. While watching the first couple of shows, it wasn't to noticeable. It became really evident when mom was to marry then it seemed she was; the indentrue was over; the FL's boss leaves on a case without her and you know he liked her; starting what appears to be the second season, to name a few.The way its been edited makes me wonder if it was because the ratings were down when broadcasted; or if the story didn't play well or the leads weren't believable; or the leads needed to be showcased for some reason. at this point, ive watched the first 6 shows, and while yes the story is there, seriously cut back/down, its ok but definitely lacking.

Commedia sciocchina per un paio d'ore di facile divertimento
Si tratta, come da titolo, di una commedia molto leggera dall'umorismo facile facile, a tratti anche ben poco politicamente corretto. Per ridere senza arrabbiarsi troppo bisogna prendere in considerazione il particolare clima politico e soprattutto la censura che in Cina impera.In questa prima parte della serie che consta di due stagioni la parte più importante è la particolare relazione della coppia principale, prima ancora che diventi veramente una coppia. Infatti, laddove lui è deboluccio e poco incline alle arti marziali, lei invece è fortissima e abbastanza manesca. Il nostro le prende a ogni tre per due e questo scambio dei ruoli, che vede il maschio così pesantemente sottomesso fisicamente alla donna, non può che suscitare diverse risate.
Purtroppo, e qui entrano in gioco le peculiarità della cultura cinese, ci sono un paio di situazioni che possono far arrabbiare le persone di mentalità un po' aperta. Per esempio, uno dei malviventi è un uomo chiaramente omosessuale, il quale viene pesantemente disapprovato e in qualche modo deriso. Passati sono ormai i tempi in cui in Cina si riusciva a far approvare dei drama dall'aria vagamente BL, camuffati da bromance. Visto l'incredibile successo che tali vicende avevano sul pubblico, i capi in testa cinesi sono corsi immediatamente ai ripari e ormai questo tipo di situazione non si riesce più a vedere. Al contrario, pare che non si possa perdere occasione per svergognare quella che viene chiaramente recepita come perversione.
Una delle indagini che viene condotta dalla coppia punta come colpevole ad una donna piuttosto in carne, abbandonata dal marito che l'ha derubata per scappare con una amante molto più snella e più bella di lei. Anche in questo caso il commento che si fa di striscio è che sarebbe colpa sua, perché se solo fosse stata più attraente il marito non l'avrebbe né derubata né tradita. Ora, è sotto gli occhi di tutti coloro che guardano drama quale possa essere l'ideale di bellezza femminile da quelle parti: le donne devono essere magre fin quasi e oltre il limite della patologia, a giudicare da certe serie che ho visto.
Detto questo, ed è dire già tanto, bisogna rimarcare come le vicende, al di là di una comicità basica, siano veramente piuttosto infantili. Le indagini non sono certamente neppure degne di questo nome e, almeno in questa prima serie, la relazione romantica è appena agli inizi.
D'altronde sono sì 28 episodi, ma di lunghezza variabile tra i 3 e i 5 minuti, per cui le vicende in realtà si svolgono in maniera piuttosto affrettata e non c'è tempo per un qualsiasi tipo di approfondimento.
Sia la coppia principale che il cast di supporto si sono comportati abbastanza bene, considerato il tipo di drama: è una commedia senza tante pretese. Le scene drammatiche però lasciavano un po' a desiderare.
Musica, ambientazioni, costumi e cinematografia non sono di prima categoria, e si vede. Insomma: è una serie abbastanza coerente nella sua mediocrità.
Mi ripeto: si tratta di uno show che si può guardare se si hanno due o tre ore di tempo a disposizione e non si vuole cominciare qualcosa di più impegnativo, tanto per farsi due facili risate. Simpatica, ma nulla di più. Esiste già una seconda stagione, la cui riuscita è al pari della prima.
