No solace at all
Thank God, this drama is short; otherwise, I would have dropped it after watching two episodes. I can't even imagine what kind it would be if it were made into a full-fledged one. I like the concept because it is similar to many K-drama themes, but it is not even a comforting one. If we watch other k-dramas, then we feel like, "What a drama!" but when it comes to BL series, why are Korean BL writers so behind? Two animals appeared as human avatars to their owners. Then they met and started living together, but this series is so predictable that you will know what will happen after watching two episodes. You feel like you are watching four people talk in a cafe. I'm not sure why they made this series at all. Just hiring a good-looking actor doesn't have any drama at all. Nowadays, I'm perplexed as to why BL writers can't push the envelope in terms of story. We all know that story is the main factor in movies and series. Any movie will succeed through word of mouth if the story is good.
I can't write more than this. old and predictable story with a good-looking cast without soul. This drama is so plain that you won't feel any thrill, excitement, romance, or anything else.

Very weird premise, very good execution
The concept was so strange that I almost skipped this but I'm really glad I didn't. They do a good job not making it super weird and it just ends up being really funny and sweet! I cried, I laughed a lot.I still think the concept is weird, like uhh dating your pet? Kinda don't do that maybe. But I love that they don't have the typical childlike naivety that they usually give animals-turned-humans. They genuinely feel like adult humans who are also very much so their respective animal. Seriously, the mannerisms and behaviors are so good without being over the top and weird (maybe aside from the pant string incident at the beginning) and I found myself smiling so much.
I was glad there was no love-triangle like I initially thought there would be. Both couples are very very cute but I am partial to Milk and the uncle (does homie have a name? Couldn't tell you) as they have good chemistry and a well balanced dynamic. The music in this show was outstanding!! (for the most part) and I'm honestly just sad that I can't find the song from the end of episode 9. It was so gorgeous.
Overall, I went into this expecting weird, cute, and fluffy and I got it. It was so much less uncomfortable than expected and I'd recommend giving it a shot. Try to make it past the first couple episodes and it gets really good. I love Strongberry and I'm really happy they got a lot of love for this series. It's well deserved!! The actors also deserve a ton of love. They all did a wonderful job and I really, deeply loved all the characters.
The ending could have gone wrong but I think they patched it up nicely and I was left satisfied and happy. It's a very feel good series with some well done heavier moments. Jungwoo's pain and loneliness really got to me. I'll end my rambling mess here, but I'll just leave it with saying this is much better than expected and I hope people will give it a shot even though the animal thing is weird.

All the feels
Honestly, I don't know why this isn't rated higher. This was such a great series. Really, there's no downside to this except that I wish it were longer. If they had a little more time to work with, they could have explained a bit more on the "deal" Choco and Milk got in order to come back as humans. That part is still a little foggy to me except that they had to risk their lives to do it.And if they continue to do so, do they get to keep coming back for stretches of time?
But regardless, I thought the concept was pretty unique and well executed, especially in the personalities of Choco and Milk.
You can really tell one has the excited nature of a dog while the other is the overlord cat. I enjoyed the little nuances like how Milk shies away from Uncle when he sits down and only tentatively eats the whipped cream until Uncle leaves the table. I was waiting for Milk to bat at a glass on a table and was so ridiculously happy when he finally did. The actors did such a great job and had me grinning and laughing the whole way through.
Except for those serious moments that really pulled at the heart and caused a few tears to fall. The story really had lot of heart and especially episode 3 broke me.. and surely will anyone who has ever lost a pet. Absolutely heartbreaking in a beautiful way.
I would watch this again and again, just to see the acting from Choco and Milk. Definitely recommend!

When your pets turned into humanoid boyfriends
It has a ridiculous concept of making animals become humans but they manage to turn the tables. The main character, Jung Woo, is a cutie. His pets, Choco and Milk, are acting like real dog and cat. The one is very intimate while the other one is socially indifferent and snobbish when it comes to other people aside from his owner. The way they portrayed their animalistic characters is great.Given the plot of animal reincarnation but with a twist of letting them become human, it doesn’t actually give a click in me. It was just okay, not so good but not so bad. As the flow of the story progresses, I found myself feeling bored and disinterested. I finished the show without the feeling of attachment and cling to any elements presented in the drama. Yet, as I said earlier, it is still at the average level of BL and I liked their effort of offering something new to the fandom.

Adorable!
This was adorable! Although it was 11 short episodes (about 15 min each), the story was played out well. It had its happy moments, its sad moments, and times when I was teary-eyed while watching. That's quite a range of emotions for such a short series, but it was written and acted well enough for me to enjoy it thoroughly.I have glanced through some comments and other reviews, and I was surprised to see that there were actually negative remarks. I guess it's not everyone's cup of tea, but if taken for what it is, which is simply a cute, fluffy story, it's great! If you try to add in logic and reasoning behind every action, you're going to be disappointed, because fantasy is just that: fantasy. If you're that person that can happily delve into the realms of the magical, mystical, or mythological, then you will enjoy this.
Make sure to watch episode 0 on Strongberry's channel on YouTube, which tells the backstory of Choco and Milk. They also have some "making" videos, which are cute too.

Weird concept, and great at making you cry!!!
Honestly, walking into it, it seems like a weird idea to be going ahead with. But, the way I bawled was unreal. I couldn't believe that they would have ended it the way they did in the 10th ep. I was so glad for the last episode, especially the last scene with the girls.I truly love any show that shows a small slice of life with a larger than life concept. It's amazing.
I am still not sure about the Choco Jungwoo couple, but I loved the Milk coupling. And, honestly, it's so cute. They embodied that characters and the animals well, actually. It's strange to even write this down, I suppose.
Honestly, I cried a lot. Mostly, because I cannot imagine not having my cats around one day. But, mostly because I was rooting for all of them to be happier and to enjoy their time with each other. Anyway, if you're good with weird, this is for you. <3

Happy Ending
Great short story,I know it doesn’t have tons or basically none strong love scenes but the purity of the short story is incredible. I really enjoyed it!
If you really want a clean, different, and loving story with a good ending (specially if you need a fast picker upper), this is it.
But I must say, the actor that played choco reminded me the actor that was in the Philippine story “Gameboy” (Koykoy De Santos). I think that’s why I really wanted the story to go how it did…”guilty”. But as well, the actor Ko Hojung reminded me of Max from the Thai BL’s….LOL… “double guilty.”
Either way, I really think you will enjoyed this short story ?

Powerful Emotion from an Unconventional Story
Overall it was a good story, if not a slightly weird premise. But on the whole it was full of good stories, funny moments, and sad ones too. StrongBerry, the production company did a very nice job and I look forward to seeing what kind of content they produce next. This show is definitely not for everyone. Its story is definitely off the typical genres that you would see in the world of BL. But it is full of wonderful actors who are really good at conveying not only the serious but also the comedic. I'd say watch a couple episodes before making a call to continue or drop. Because the longer you watch the more they suck you in.

Loathe the series's title, LOVE the actual story.
My personal taste doesn't tilt toward saccharine and brainlessly sweet. For me, the Coco Milk Shake title screamed exactly that, and so, for awhile, I ignored this really entertaining story. My bad, it's not saccharine at all. Though there are a few unexplained plot elements, it's not brainlessly sweet either. Here's my review in less than 200 words. Forget the damn title. Watch the damn show. There is humour, there is sadness, and the story moves along very quickly without the usual swampy middle found in the average BL story. I had a few Mehs about one of the romance lines, which is why I gave the overall a 9 instead of top marks. However, if I had been given the choice, I would have given the actors a 12. They are phenomenal; I am the s*it-shoveller for a cat whose disdainful stare could melt you into a puddle; as well as the guardian of a dog who loves nothing more than to shadow my footsteps, and so, I can say with authority that they nailed it. For that alone, I'd definitely rewatch this series, but not perhaps, after either my cat or my dog had just taken that rainbow bridge stroll into heaven. (Off topic thought: how'd they get the feline luminous eye effect? I swear Milk's eyes gleamed with inner light.)Was this review helpful to you?
This show literally had me smiling ear to ear and giggling like a kid!!
This was perfection.. everyone understood their assignments! The actors playing the animals did SUCH a good job exhibiting animal characteristics without being extra or cringy! Original story.. cute and funny moments.. real and dramatic moments .. satisfying kisses as a payoff .. actors were so charismatic and well fit to their roles! Not a whole lot of skinship (no NC), but lots of heart felt, uwu moments that made me smile… The only thing lacking was more!! I wanted more of their story, more of the seriously cute and engaging actors.. just more! I rarely write reviews but this one deserves all the praise it can get! And I rarely want a second season .. but I’d watch these guys read the phone book! I’d die for another season of this one! Definitely worth the watch .. so even if ur on the fence.. it’s short .. and if you like BL at all you won’t be disappointed .. very heartwarming and cute without being forgettable!! I’ll admit, they don’t go into too much backstory about how they were able to come back and the rules for being there and all that .. ( there is a making of episode that gives a bit more context) but even as a nit picky person myself, I liked the series as a whole so much I was able to let that go and just roll with it.. it’s supposed to be a light, fun watch, so if you go in with that sentiment… I know you will love this too! I’m already about to watch it again! Hope this helps! Was this review helpful to you?
