Reviews
Wonderful, lighthearted and short show with an interesting twist.
This is a wonderful short show. One of these hidden gems you sometimes is lucky enough to come across. The storyline is quite simple and then again not. Normally I hate amnesia but here it is the premise of the story so I was fine with it.I love these mini-shows or short shows when they are done right - like this is. Gone are unnecessary fillers and multiple side stories that test my patience. Brilliant.
Character wise:
FL is a kind but headstrong woman and ML is a clever, strong yet warmhearted man. Their love story is wonderful and sweet.
Acting wise this is great. All the main actors do a fabulous job with the characters. Since it is a short show there is limited depth and growth but that’s to be expected. The chemistry between the main leads is great.
So, if you want something short, lighthearted and romantic - with a splash of drama - this is definitely well worth watching.
Swoony mini-drama with perfect amount of comedy, angst, and great OTP chemistry
For a mini drama, this was a gem! One of my favourites so far and up there with A Familiar Stranger and The Killer is Also Romantic (same FL) among the best short-length dramas.I'm very picky when it comes to comedy, but a lot more forgiving with these short ones, and for the most part, the humour worked for me in Si Shi Hao despite some of the anachronisms. The pacing and story telling were also well done and the production quality was solid. The main couple had great chemistry and the ML's love for the FL was a great blend of swoony mild angst. Importantly, the ending was satisfying and complete, and did not feel rushed (especially for a short-length drama).
Highly recommend this one if you are looking for a drama fix, but don't have time for a big 40-episode binge session!
