The beginning...made me facepalm way too many…

The beginning...made me facepalm way too many times i swear.I loved sassy and possesive Ray, sad we didn't get more of that. Not gonna lie, for me some stuff were rushed here i would like to see more. The scenes in city were beautiful. The end is very intriguing, and giving hope.

Last episodes are never easy

However, I think Only Friends ended in a way that was the most realistic it could be, considering the BL formula it had to follow. In general, I think a 13th episode could've helped portray certain characters better, i.e., Boston, who I think most people are talking about. For me, his story arc ended where it was supposed to end: him going to NY and not being in a relationship with Nick. What I wanted for Boston is to realize what a shitty friend he's been and apologize for it, which he did. Nick made me the most happy because he finally came to the realization that he needs to love himself before loving anyone else. Otherwise, you will end up dependent on that other person, which will not always be there for you. Top and Mew ended on a good note. There's not much to add except that I like their conversation in the bathtub because it showed that they were aware of them moving in together not being easy and that there will be rough times ahead of them. I think episode 12 showed us that Boeing only existed to stir up shit one last time – for every couple. I would've loved to see Sand and Boeing's past explored a bit more, but I'm also happy for Boeing to just exist to demonstrate how Ray has changed from not caring about Sand's feelings to full-on protecting his “dog”. OK, that metaphor got me cracking up bad, but I loved it that Sand went with it. Do you Sand. Do you. Now, of course that first scene got me screaming like crazy. It was a great way to show that, yes, Sand still has feelings for Boeing (obviously since last episode), however, when he kissed Ray you could feel the difference in emotional attachment. Like, Sand may love Boeing, but he's in love with Ray. And then when Ray and Boeing kissed it was just a fight of tongues, I guess lmao. I cried several times in this episode, especially during the dancing sequence of Sand and Ray because it gave me the time to think back to where we came from and what we had to endure to get here. Their story really touched my heart and I think it's beautiful that we got that outlook for them starting a business together and travelling the world. It is as Ray said, Sand gave him a goal in life which he was so desperately looking for.In the end, however, no couple felt safe for me. Only Friends is really just the beginning for these characters, the real work will start now and this was greatly shown by Mix's character showing up at the end. And oh my God did I scream when he showed up on my screen. The way he looked at Mew and Top recognizing it, made it clear for me that nothing is safe here. I don't expect a second season, but if it should happen, then I would love to see Mix portray a messy character. For all I care, the main cast could be secondary while we get another main protagonist. The things I didn't like in this last episode is the random fire we got for Top and Mew. It felt out of place and didn't give me anything for their story. That there was no 13th episode to show Ray's therapy and Boston's struggle to navigate his idea of a relationship. All in all, I'm very happy and sad at the same time. It was a wild ride.

so bad its good until it becomes just bad

i was mostly watching this for the trainwreck and i didnt really expect any good resolutions but i was still floored by how bad it ended up being. the first half is at least some kind of messy fun, but the further it goes, more wattpad-y the writing gets. none of the characters are worth rooting for. the structure is just really like a fanfic getting updated every week so there are some random events thrown in to cause more drama and clicks. ep 5 is kinda the best it gets, first's acting as always carries, bostonnick sometimes have fun moments but otherwise this is a sea of mid

And breathe...

What the hell was going on in the first scene? I was so nervous! It was madness. Ray was going for it: he wanted to know and he put everyone in a situation where they had to be truthful.....but I think there are other ways of finding out. Boeing showed he didn't care about anyone, but himself. Obviously.Boston and Nick rollerblading was so sweet. They were sweet in the club too until Boston showed - once again - who he really was. To be fair though, Boeing is gorgeous!Mew became savage. Top became gentle and loving and accepted his past bad behaviour (understatement!). Boston looked like the rug had been pulled out from under him (it had!). Nick - finally - found himself. It's only taken most of the series, but better late than never. Nick's final scene with Boston was perfect.Mew and Top's NC scene and that flirty, dirty talk....oh.... Will there be a season 2? Surely, there must be: Mix (no character name yet) has arrived and he has his sights set on Mew. Mew certainly collects admirers! It's been crazy, ridiculous, annoying and silly but I've loved this series. Book's acting has improved so much. First and Khaotung were great, as usual. I saw a diferent side to Neo - a more mature and less comedic side. Mark's emotions as the lovesick and brokenhearted 'boyfriend' were laid out for us all to see. Loved it!

Aand we're done!

It was a wild ride, not gonna lie. This series was as messy as it promised to be. ------ So... Boeing is gone. I like the way Ray handled him, even though I was hoping Sand would be the one to do it. He was kind of allowing Boeing to get close to him, and that was weird. ----- TopMew were fine. I don't care for them, as I've already stated. I wouldn't have taken Top back, but whatever. ----- SandRay had great chemistry, and I liked that Ray gave Sand an ultimatum about Boeing. It's nice that they help each other be better. Still, I'm not the biggest fan of Ray. I wouldn't have taken him back either, realistically. But the vibes are there lol. ------- I CANNOT believe we got a kiss from CheumApril. They're such a good couple - genuinely the only healthy relationship in the series. Wish we could've seen them in more scenes. ------ Finally... BostonNick. Was I rooting for them last week? Yes. Not anymore. I love that Nick got his shit together and distanced himself from Boston. To Boston: you piece of sh*t I TRUSTED YOU -- Actually, I was having a hard time believing his overly sweet attitude. It didn't feel right nor true to his character. So, I'm kind of glad my gut feeling got proven right. If he can't commit to a single person, he should stay alone. ----- Also, that fire was random af. Where did it come from? In what way did it impact the plot? Idk. It felt unnecessary. And that last character walking in at the end... are we getting a second season or? What was all that about?

Finally

We are getting a season 2 without a doubt. Oh my god my toxic relationship has finally come to end now I am free from this show. Crazy ending though. I’ll give to them, keeps us wanting more.Mew and top. The fire was very random but also symbolized how fast the life they built together can go. And they also lost it all. Shit crazy. I will definitely have to write this later. I’m so glad they came out on top (literally) in the end. These two, I didn’t think they were going’s to make it if I’m being honest. I really didn’t. But they did and I am going to pretend like I never doubted them for a second. They set some ground rules and they had some sex and they pulled through at the end.Ray and sand. My favorite couple pulled through and I have never been happier. The camera work and music in their scenes was so amazing. I’m glad Ray is working on himself. They were all drinking and having fun and Ray was still having fun even without drinking and I think that was really cute and I love that. He finally got the much needed rehab and he even did community service. I love these two and they were so willing to change for each and I love that. I never lost hope in these two and I’m so happy.Lastly Nick and Boston. I thought Boston was going to kill himself i am going to be honest. These two had a lot of cold lines in this and Nick is done with Bostons shit and so is everyone. They finally gave him what he deserved, someone like that deserves to be alone. It’s sad but true. He needs to value himself first and the others. I really thought for a second he was going to come around. But Boeing, after he couldn’t ruin our first two couples, he got to the last one and split them apart. That’s it. I’ll write a review in a bit. Okay bye!
