Turns annoying very quickly

It started ok, but quickly turned into a stream of annoying events. The male lead is very manipulative and pushy for a big part of the show. First he tries to make his "online friend" fail in getting a guy and then when he finds out he knows her IRL he starts being very pushy and stalkery. The female lead starts relatively ok, i like her bossy attitude at times but then when it comes to male lead she just forgets how terrible he was and melts on sight. The game company setting could be interesting but its very simplified and feels mostly like somebody stitched together some ideas on what game company looks like, it was very distracting seeing all the nonsense that became part of it. Had to skip through most of the last 6 episodes. Honestly instead of 24 episodes 16-18 would have sufficed.

SLOW COOKER ROMANCE!!!

I can say that I was a little fed up after watching this drama. This drama is cute and frustrating at the same time.... Like the male lead likes the online version of the female lead , while not liking the female lead in real life lol Then the female lead is googahgah over the male lead in real life. It's literally a game of mouse and cat chase, they literally missed each other by little bit each time and they always has misunderstanding/ miscommunication.

Male lead is a lead in a gaming company trying to produce a type of game called 3A ( not really sure what it stands for) Female lead works in the company on the opposite team as a designer/artist. She has a crush on the male lead, but the male lead doesnt have too good feelings for her. They both play this online shooting game. The male leads has a crush on the online female lead. For the longest time he didnt figure it out, up to when the female lead finally musters the courage to confess that she likes him. She gets rejected by the male lead.

The story then revolves around how the male lead is trying to make it uo to the female lead and trying to apologize .

Like so many miunderstanding and lack of communication... like the male lead suggested for the female lead to act very cutesy and lady like, but when it fact in real life he hates that type of girl. The male lead is literally stone cold and no response until he figures out the online person is the female lead, then her does everything to try to make it up to her... This is why they get together so late. They have good chemistry but way too little screen time romance. Their relationship literally slow cooks so it seems really real and convincing.

Writer and directors clearly don't know anything about game development

I don't often write reviews but I feel like this drama annoyed me enough to do so. As someone who works in the gaming industry, I love media that portrays video games and/or the industry. However, here is where my biggest issue comes into play.
None of the plot makes any sense if you know even the littlest bit about the industry.

First of all, them wanting to make an "AAA game": AAA refers to the size of the company working on it and the (usually big) budget that goes into them. That's all there is to it. If they had been working for that enemy company, they could have been working on an AAA title considering it sounds like an international level company throughout the story - it would depend on the budget they'd get. But throughout the whole story, they did not work on an AAA title but act like they do. Why do people write about things they have no idea about, or don't at least do a quick google search....

My next issue is that I think that I'm over this type of male lead. The guy had pretty much no redeeming qualities to him. He was disinterested and often nasty to most people. Even after finding out that he messed up and turned down the girl he likes, his behaviour doesn't make up for the hours of mean behaviour. The female lead feels like a doormat and just let the dude walk all over her feelings and his behaviour was never addressed at all. Maybe I'm getting too old but I'm so tired of shows glorifying toxic characters.

Starts off good but gets Anticlimactic

I really enjoyed the first half of this drama. The love square of Qian Ling liking Gu Xun while he likes her online persona was excellent. I loved that he was inadvertently sabotaging their potential relationship by giving the online Qian Ling bad advice for pursuing her real-life crush, and thereby creating his own monster when her antics annoyed him. He was a bit harsh to her but I loved that he was making his own bed and when the karma hit him, it was glorious. But things started to drag as he attempted to win her forgiveness - too much PPL and not enough sincerity. The confession and kiss scenes were anticlimactic and the final few episodes felt rushed.

ughhhh

I’m only at episode 5 & I’ve skipped a couple of seconds already even minutes, it’s way too cringey. The FL is pretty, yes but her character and her acting here is soooo cringey I couldn’t stand it. the ML is so so I liked him in Put your head on my shoulder, not much on derailment just the parts where he cried, it looked so fake and couldn’t feel an ounce of emotion out of his crying scenes there. I don’t know, I think I’ll drop this one pretty soon. it’s a waste of time. Again it’s just my opinion…

Beautiful story of slow romance

This drama catches my attention so much. When I started to watched, I thought it will be boring, long and with full of painful tears. But NOOO. This drama of 24 episodes was so fluid, so easy, so nice, with amazing emotional growth. Chinese drama really surprised me in positive way.
I recommend this drama to everyone, because 24 episodes will flow immediately and with nice Characters This story is getting really interesting plot. The funny thing is in this drama there is no real drama like in many drama we use to watch. There is no unnecessary tears there’s no fighting there’s no emotional breakdowns. It’s really smooth and it’s really adorable.

Good rom-com with charming leads having strong chemistry

Overall, it's a nice, sweet rom-com, especially enjoyable when binge-watched. Zhou Ye and Lin Yi's strong chemistry was a pleasant surprise for me; I didn't expect it when I started the drama. Episodes 1-6 might not be everyone's cup of tea. Despite my dislike for the FL chasing ML storyline, having read the web novel, I enjoyed the initial parts, and Zhou Ye did a really good job. The series becomes really enjoyable from Episode 7 onwards. I appreciated that they didn't rush into the dating part; I dislike when dramas skip the buffer period and have the leads jump into each other's arms once any misunderstanding is resolved. That being said, I also enjoyed the pre-dating era because Lin Yi and Zhou Ye exude tension between GX and YQL perfectly. Their dating phase was sweet, intertwined with their work-related problems.

I didn't like that they omitted GX's parents' divorce and how it affected his life. It was a major part of the novel and kind of shaped his character.

They could've inserted more romantic scenes from Episodes 20-24. I liked the dynamics between YQL's parents and GX; it was so cute. However, Xin Yi and Junnan deserved more screen time; their scenes felt rushed and frustrating to watch. They could have removed the Feng RuRu subplot and dedicated that time to explore JJN's feelings about XY. Sorry, but the writing made me feel like my girl Xin Yi deserved better.

So even if it's not your perfect drama, it's a really easy watch, and you'll actually enjoy the characters because their only purpose in life is not just to fall in love! Such leads, especially FLs, are rarely found in the romantic Cdrama world.

this has become one of my favourite/top cdramas of all time

if you're looking for a cdrama which genuinely just puts you in a good mood and fun to watch, this drama is something you indeed should try. I'm a big fan of both Lin Yi and Zhou Ye as they are both my top actor and actress. I've been waiting for this drama's release since the day that they were both announced as leads, and the drama honestly to me, is really good.

- This drama is a very light one with almost no big drama
- Both the leads are very beautiful and their chemistry is probably one of the best out of most cdramas
- The FL's outfits were literally so PRETTY
- I loved the love story
- The slow burn was executed well as it made me feel butterflies all the way through :)
- No love triangles
- Sweet and romantic scenes
- Fun comedy moments from the leads
- Loved the personalities of these two characters
- I adored the FL and her characteristics. She didn't let things get to her easily and made people 'work hard' to earn her respect
- Lin Yi and Zhou Ye had natural on-screen chemistry and you can see that they have both grown very close with one another. Their chemistry on and off screen was really cute, and these two have developed a very close relationship in real life too. I love how comfortable they both are with one another, and they both mentioned that they still chat through WeChat from time to time too

However...
- the first few episodes (1-5 ish) didn't feel TOO special, but I accepted it because of my love for Lin Yi and Zhou Ye
- just like how others would say, the emotions were kind of dragged a bit too long. As much as I love this drama to bits, I do have to say that they spent too long holding grudges and not confessing sooner
- I wish the dating era was longer. I love these two, but it just felt too short. Their chemistry really saved it but I wish we got to see more like dates, etc. The build up was good, but they ran out of episodes to include the extra bits

According to some netizens, there are lots of scenes which were unable to see the light of day due to the censorship in China. Honestly rather sad about this, but I guess that's what they need to do. I just wish Youku could release all the unreleased scenes to the international fans. The censorship in China is so annoying when it comes to these things.

I also think that it would have been a bit better if there were more episodes because the ending was a tinsy-bit rushed. I wish we could've seen more of their office romance?. But overall, I love this drama. I don't think I've ever been so immersed with a drama like this before. It really made my life a lot more fun. I also REALLY LOVE the OST. The only other cdrama where I've completely adored the ost is Go Ahead. But the OST of Everyone Loves Me is so good. All the songs are good!!

By any chance, does anyone know what the song is in this scene? I really love it but not sure if it's a real song or not?

I hope and wish that Lin Yi and Zhou Ye work in more projects together because I'm not ready to move on??. I honestly don't know what to do now that it's finished. Lin Yi and Zhou Ye are so perfect. I'm manifesting for more projects of linzhouye so much!!!!!! Please hear out prayers and cast them in more dramas!!!!

chinese game developer drama...

I should say that chinese romcom drama nowadays is defeinitely solid. Everyone Loves Me starts off very playful and light, and I was endeared by the female lead right away. The male lead, not so much. But once the role switched, I became obsessed right away. This is my first time watching the leads' acting, and they are pretty convincing.

No Depth

The story has no depth. It ultimately fsiled in this sense. Unfortunately the writer failed to keep the story interesting.

Other than good appearances you get nothing else. It was too shallow, boring and quite frankly a waste of time.

I had high expectations at first but it never moved me later on.

Wish i have dropped it earlier

This drama only has 24 episode that's why i keep watching it, but it never got better in any way... Wasted my time totally.
Till the end i am waiting for some good romantic moments but they did not give any of this... Li ni is one of the best kisser in China but this time there is nothing special.

Office work is more than boring, this is the main reason the story kept dragging .

Wish they can work together but with a good script not like this trash.

I can see why everyone would love this

This is a sweet, fluffy, easy watch that offers so many miss-understandings it becomes ridiculous yet stays oddly entertaining. If you are looking fo r any kind of substance, realism or I don't know healthy relationships... This is not the place to find it but if you can overlook a bunch of stuff and can enjoy predictability, cliches, misunderstandings and bickering this is a really good place to find it.

While the misunderstandings are never ending, and here seem to be a few attempts of including depth as well as a lot of, lets show the world that China can create... with its own culture... You know the usual patriotic stuff us c-fluff viewers have learned to ignore most of the drama is a easy watch and a display of people playing with gender roles, double standards and damsel in distress vs. volgar bad ass like it was 1995... Making me feel all nostalgic inside.

Our male lead is another guy who at times lacks communication skills, and indeed can get a bit macho over protective at times while being the type that can appreciate having smart active women around him... which is kind of nice. He is also portrayed by Lin Yi with all Lin Yi has to offer so for all those who can appreciate Lin Yi this is not a bad place to watch him.

The female lead has more mood swings than number of clicks a on a keyboard in a gaming tournament. And while her characters action should lead to a bunch of second hand embarrassment, she did not really get on my nerves even once (wich is really rare),

The side couples and side characters (including the parents) are lovely too (most of the time).

All in all making this an entertaining watch... Or at least the first 19 episodes or so, the attempts of plot and depth towards the end where kind of meeh...
