Short But Packs a Punch
This was very hilarious in certain scenes, especially the sister's miscomprehensions. ??? ☺️I was surprised at how violent some teachers are. Smacking children's heads is not allowed in our country, especially by staff. I guess I'm not surprised that the children are allowed to bully when the teachers act that way. ??♀️????
The youth all played their parts well. The parents were decent though unaware. The guys in the gym were meant for comic relief, because bullying can be a heavy topic. ??? ????
This tackled a serious issue in schools but in an easier-to-handle comedy, rather than a dark, gritty way. ?????
I thought that not seeking revenge was a valuable lesson. His motive to win was for the female lead's sake. It also showed how important it is to overcome our fear of others. A bully is rendered powerless when victims get past their fear. ?❤️?

Decent, but lacking 'wow factor'
Strong Underdog is decent but lacks that certain 'wow factor'. Whether this is due to short episode lengths, or whether it is due to the general rushed vibe I sensed with the different storylines, I'm not sure. In regard to the story, I actually felt an emotion I don't usually feel. Being uncomfortable. However, from the second episode onwards it was nice to see the direction this was taking (anti-bullying route). I also really enjoyed the slight romance and bromance, it was a shame that these were not explored more.I actually started watching this because of the ML Kim Do Yeon (who plays the character Jae Seong). He was spectacular in this, as was the other ML and the majority of the supporting cast. It was also nice seeing a familiar face in Song Young Kyu, someone I did not expect to see (although I'm not sure why - he is in everything!). I was not familiar with the other ML and other supporting cast (I believe), however nearly everyone had amazing performances.
Nice OST and decent rating for rewatch value, although this is due to short episodes and short episode length.
All in all, I do recommend watching this. It's a good choice when you want to watch something but don't know what to watch!

worth a watch
it's a good show. You should watch it if you like kdramas that explore (not too much) bullying and (little) boxing themes with bromance, like weak hero class 1. It's not upto that level but it's still good. I started watching it for shin jaehwi but I continued for Lee daehwi :) I definitely felt it was way too short and I expected more romance because we barely got any crumbs, but you won't be losing much even if you do watch it considering how short of a watch it was. I also really liked the sister lmao. Was this review helpful to you?

YESS!!
This drama is top notch! I don't see why it's underrated because it really is a good series.Fighting for what's right, that is the message you will get from watching this.
I do have some complaints though for example, Kim Do Yeon.
Don't get me wrong, I like him and I was really moved by him in Move To Heaven but he was playing an adult. In Strong Underdog he plays a high school student and I don't think it fits him well because he looks older. I have to say that he did a good job but I just don't think he should play such young roles, he should play an adult as he IS an adult.
I also don't like how the ending didn't show us Min Ah kicking ass. I mean, come on! She was already kinda cool (in my eyes) and then it's revealed that she is a total badass!
Anyway as I said, Strong Underdog is really good and I hope you give it a chance and watch it.
