Decent, but lacking 'wow factor'
Strong Underdog is decent but lacks that certain 'wow factor'. Whether this is due to short episode lengths, or whether it is due to the general rushed vibe I sensed with the different storylines, I'm not sure. In regard to the story, I actually felt an emotion I don't usually feel. Being uncomfortable. However, from the second episode onwards it was nice to see the direction this was taking (anti-bullying route). I also really enjoyed the slight romance and bromance, it was a shame that these were not explored more.
I actually started watching this because of the ML Kim Do Yeon (who plays the character Jae Seong). He was spectacular in this, as was the other ML and the majority of the supporting cast. It was also nice seeing a familiar face in Song Young Kyu, someone I did not expect to see (although I'm not sure why - he is in everything!). I was not familiar with the other ML and other supporting cast (I believe), however nearly everyone had amazing performances.
Nice OST and decent rating for rewatch value, although this is due to short episodes and short episode length.
All in all, I do recommend watching this. It's a good choice when you want to watch something but don't know what to watch!
