Top Notch!!!
I was blown away by this lakorn drama, which tells the powerful story of a woman's life as a prostitute. The writing is superb, with complex characters and a narrative that unfolds at a pace that keeps you engaged from start to finish.
Everyone that cast in this drama are equally impressive, with each actor delivering a standout performance that adds to the overall impact of the show.
The production values are also top-notch, with stunning cinematography that brings the historical setting to life in vivid detail. The attention to detail is impressive, from the costumes and sets to the score and sound design. Every aspect of the production comes together to create a truly immersive viewing experience.
If you're looking for a lakorn drama that will leave you emotionally moved and intellectually stimulated, then this is definitely the show for you. With its powerful storytelling, outstanding performances, and exceptional production values, this is a must-watch for fans of the genre.

An empowering, edgy period drama.
‘Bangkok Blossom’ is a raucous period drama that reinforces the reality that throughout history, prostitutes have been at the mercy of power and wealth. While this drama emphasizes depravity and lewd practices, and it reminds me a lot of the UK BBC drama 'Harlots', the main focus is on women fighting for freedom. It also touches on loyalty, trust, and the importance of friends and family. This drama has a good story structure where tension never really lets up from start to finish. The plots really draw you in at once. There's always something to look forward to in each episode. There are also empowering moments, romance, and heartfelt actions. As the story revolves around a brothel and prostitution, there’s zero nudity. The depictions of sex are expected, but the scenes are done through good direction, great camera work, and acting. Please be aware of violence as well.
This drama also has good character development and growth. Engfa, Goy, and Aom Piyada did an amazing job with their respective roles, but in my opinion, Charlette Wasita deserves the most praise for her portrayal of Tianyod, a 17-year-old teenager trapped in the life of prostitution, desperate for freedom, and driven to get an education above all else. Despite being the youngest among the actors, I personally think she shines the most.
Although it's a good drama in many aspects, there are some flaws that I don't think make it worthy of a perfect 10. There are some predictable plots, the details of the props are not so good, and the boyfriends are not so useful. They may be attractive, kind guys, and heroic in their attempts, but their impact isn't that great.
With all the intense conflicts, the musical portions really help balance the intensity, adding more entertaining value to this drama. It’s nice to watch a period piece that can pull off modern music. Overall, this is a good period drama with well-established themes of patriarchy, survival, social status, and class. Bangkok Blossom is a solid recommendation and will have you totally addicted.

Worth watching.
Throughout the series, these three women form strong bonds with each other, supporting and encouraging each other as they navigate their difficult circumstances. The show explores themes of female empowerment, friendship, and the struggles that women face in a society that often seeks to oppress them. The characters in Bangkok Blossom are well-developed and relatable, with each one having their own unique struggles and motivations. The acting is superb, with the actresses bringing depth and nuance to their roles. The show's writing is also commendable, tackling tough subjects like prostitution and exploitation with sensitivity and care.
The setting of the show is also noteworthy, providing a vivid portrayal of life in 19th-century Bangkok. The costumes, sets, and music all work together to create an immersive experience that transports viewers to a different time and place.
Music used are also superb!!!
Overall, Bangkok Blossom is a powerful and emotional drama that celebrates the strength and resilience of women. It is a must-watch for anyone who loves Thai dramas or is interested in stories about female empowerment and friendship

Women's struggling and empowerment under King Rama V (1892)
First of all I have to warn you that this drama /lakorn is not for everyone and it has triggered warnings such as abuse of power, se*ual violences, humiliation and more sensitives topics that some scenes (despite being censored) are difficult to watch. However, I don't know if all elements that are depicted are quite correct (I mean the history background) but I also know, it's fictional/for entertainment purposes, I still think it was a very good drama in terms of the production (I love the colors they used) and what they want to convey such as bringing justice to certain category of people, it was powerful and really touching, even heartwrenching. The actors were top notch (it might be over the top but first) it's a lakorn, it's knowned to this acting and I'm used to it and second) I do think it makes sense with the situations encountered and in that era, you easily feel hopeless / helpless and powerless.
I was touched and I enjoyed the sisterhood, each woman stood out in their own way and they are trying to find their own happiness and justice. I liked how they helped each other and the determination they had. But some good men, ironically have not a really great impact. I know, it's mainly about women but since they were here I would prefer their presence to be more impactful than this. Because the other bad guys were horrible and awful, there's like a huge contrast but again it might be because they were also helpless / powerless towards the situation.
The pacing was just right and each episode was so intense, not boring at all, it hooked me till the end. The story was a bit predictable but it's alright, it has succeeded to entertain me.
Oh and I also wanted to say, the language they used is of course not contemporary it's more an ancient language / litteratery so maybe it would be hard if you want to learn thai language by watching this and or not being used to it.

A VIOLENT tale of Prostitution in Thailand with excellent acting.
Subjective Gut Rating: 8.25“Bangkok Blossom” tells the tale and struggles of the lowliest of the lows, prostitutes/whores in Thailand back in 1892. Prostitutes were treated as non-humans back then, and worse than those who were merely slaves. This drama does not shy away from showing us the harsh reality of these women. Beware! This is a difficult drama to watch with many red flags triggers.
The first couple episodes were heartbreaking. These prostitutes were abused physically and mentally, violated, raped, tortured by men who came to brothels to seek pleasure. These customers weren’t just normal folks, they were sickos! Virginity was auctioned off to the highest bidder no matter how crazy these customers are.
I was captivated and heartbroken at the same time. Luckily, the drama presented our 3 female leads as strong women, who never gave up their dreams and were always trying to find ways to fight back. Engfa, Goy and Charlette are not only beautiful but their acting performance was excellent. They have different personalities and dreams, but the sisterhood is strong. If I have to pick, I would say Engfa is the most beautiful of the three, and the weakest in her acting (but she’s still good). Charlette might have a slight edge as the young Thianyot.
These women are sexy as hell, and you can see from their singing and dance performances. The performances were elaborate and loads of fun. They provide an oasis of relief and entertainment in an otherwise intense and emotional drama. Their costumes are a sight to behold. They are quite…. Interesting with a very Thai flair. I *think* the actresses sang the songs because they don’t sound very professional, and that’s OK. The music, and songs are excellent in complementing the performances and the scenes.
If you are looking for romance, then look elsewhere. Even though two of the leads have love interests, romance is so not central, and really a tiny, side plot that’s not worth mentioning. These love interests' role is to support the women in their fight for a better life and justice. They are really not that important in the grand scheme of things.
As much as I was intrigued with “Bangkok Blossom” in the first half, I slowly lost my interest in the second half. It’s probably just a “me” problem. But I feel that the plot becomes somewhat repetitive and predictable. Even though there’s a lot of screaming, fighting, abusing going on, the plot isn’t really moving. Some of the latter ‘twists’ are predictable and it takes forever for the revenge, investigation and change to happen. There aren’t enough side stories of substance to add to the main plot. Thus the last couple episodes feel like its dragging its feet to the finish line.
Nevertheless, I would still recommend "Bangkok Blossom" if this subject matter interests you. It has excellent acting, great musical performances and a solid OST. The subject matter is serious but is worth getting attention. The production quality is high, but be mindful of the triggers. There’s no nudity given this drama is about brothels and prostitutes thanks to the creative filming, but there’s no shortage of violence.
