Just one year after its opening, Hayami Rinko became the first female Asian chef to receive three Michelin stars. But soon after that, the world was hit by the spread of the novel Coronavirus, which dealt a significant blow to the food and beverage industry worldwide. “Grand Maison Tokyo” was no exception. In order to survive, it formed a capital partnership with a major food consulting company under a large corporation’s umbrella and found a way to adapt to selling frozen food products through online shopping and a recipe website. However, it seemed that Rumiko had forgotten her pure passion for cooking, as she was only focused on maintaining the restaurant. Due to dishes that focused solely on appearance rather than flavor, “Grand Maison Tokyo” eventually lost all its Michelin stars. Meanwhile, all contact had been lost with Obana Natsuki, who had supposedly gone to Paris. Rumiko felt responsible for making the decision to form a capital alliance in order to sustain “Grand Maison Tokyo.” While handling tasks far from what could be called “chef” work that they were contractually obliged to, Rinko and Kuzumi Kanna visit “Mayeur Kyoto,” a top-class French restaurant limited to serving only one group of people a day. As they progress through the course meal, Rumiko becomes convinced that Obana is present at the restaurant. (Source: Drama-Otaku) Edit Translation
