Story- heartwarming and inspriring. Basically there to send a message to the audience about not giving up on your dreams. There is a little romance going on with a cute ending.

Acting/Cast-First, I have to say I loved Kim Tae Hee in this. She really was believable as a Jockey. She had to play tough but still kept the pretty. I liked the male lead and they had a good chemistry for what thier relationship in the movie called for(still couldnt help picturing Song Sung Hyun in this role though as its my dream for him and KTH to do every movie/drama together from now on lol). I also wanted to mention the child actress. She was so good in her dramatic scenes and so cute to watch.

Music- The score was lovely. There was an original song that was kind of catchy and it sounded like it was KTH singing it.

Rewatch- This is a movie that can easily be watched again however since I didnt love the male lead Id probably wait a few years.

Overall this was an enjoyable watch.

Efforts mend a broken dream

I really enjoy watching "Grand Prix". The cinematography is excellent and the scenery in Jeju Island is breathtaking. Seon Joo Hee performs so well and does an excellent job as a skilled equestrian that aims to win a Grand Prix trophy. She goes through failed attempt to win a race that kills her racing horse, subsequently she goes back to Jeju Island to spread the ashes of her beloved horse and eventually meets her savior, Lee Woo Seok. The interaction between these two leading roles is fun to watch. Lee Woo Seok is taking it slowly to build Joo Hee's confidence in horse racing again. It is a worthy relationship for both of them to heal their own hurts and broken dreams.

An additional eye candy In Jae and sweet Yang So Shim with her pony help the movie to move along when it is needed. I am so relieved that sweet So Shim helps save the race horse, Tamra, from being destroyed.

I would recommend the story to be developed into a K-drama to tell the story between Hwang Man Chul and Ko Yu Yung; the hidden story is so suspenseful and needs to be explored. Ko Yu Yung's hatred toward Man Chul and racing horses raised by Man Chul, also and Hwang Man Chul's regret need to be discussed in detail, it would be an interesting K-drama to watch.

I would recommend "Grand Prix".

This movie was pretty great! It had a nice message and a strong story. I also like how progressive it actually was for a movie from 2010 as there were issues like body positivity and dealing with catcalling present.

The female lead was strong and nice at the same time and I loved how the male lead was a rich male dudebro but he was very supportive and kind too. The side characters were interesting and it was very nice to see a Korean movie centered around horse racing and horse riding in general.

I can't remember much about the OST in the actual movie but as the credits were rolling there was a really cute song which was sang by the two leads and it was really in their character.

A very enjoyable watch, which I will for sure repeat in some time. It really deserves the
rating 9/10 from me.
