IRIS 2 Starts Airing In February 2013

Everyone start marking your calendars because IRIS is back with a sequel!

Ever since the first season ended, many fans were looking forward to a second season, making IRIS 2 one of the most anticipated action dramas of the year.

The story picks up three years after the first drama’s ending with a new NSS team and new faces that we’re all excited to see in action mode. Oh Yun Soo (as Choi Min) will be playing the new deputy director in NSS while Jang Hyuk (as Yoo Gun) will be a team leader who goes against Beak San and IRIS, which leads him to a critical struggle for his life. Lee Da Hae (as Ji Soo Yeon) who used to be a Gold Medalist in shooting will be playing the role of a member in NSS alongside with B2ST’s Yoo Doo Joon (as Yoon Shi Hyuk).

Meanwhile, Lee Bum Soo (as Yoo Joong Won) joins Kim Seung Woo (as Park Cheol Yeong) in the North Korea’s team and Kim Yeong Cheol keeps his role as Beak San, a crucial element in IRIS. Finally, Im Soo Hyang is the younger sister of Kim Sun Hwa who must carry out a Russian assassination mission as a professional IRIS killer; she’s carrying out her profession in order to find her lost sister. MBLAQ’s Lee Joon will be the computer genius who leads operations in NSS’s Command center. The Korean-American actor (Daniel Henney) has been cast too, which means that IRIS 2 plans to hit the worldwide scale.

The released teaser was highly interesting since it showed our beloved cast performing mesmerizing action moves.

The big-budget action drama will start filming this November. As well as South Korea, the drama’s shooting is planned to take place in Hungary, Cambodia, and Japan.

The drama starts airing on February 13th, following the Wednesday-Thursday drama JeonWooChi on KBS; It's a long way to go but with a little patience we will be there.
