It's been a few years now since I got sucked into Dramaland, and I still haven't found a way to escape. Not that I'd really want to and besides, there's always something that draws me back in. One of those somethings is the talented child cast that provides an adorable prologue to many amazing dramas. This love of mine started with my affection for Kim Yoo Jung in Dong Yi but it was another child actress who slowly, but surely, stole my heart and as a result the number one position in my all-time favourite child actors/actresses. That's right, you guessed it; I'm talking about Kim So Hyun.

The Moon that Embraces the Sun

I think this was the first time I ever saw Kim So Hyun in a drama. She was in the role of a young Bo Kyung, the female antagonist, and to my eternal shame I dismissed this amazing actress on account of my hatred of her character. Now, looking back, I can appreciate the talent it took to make me dislike her so much. Every expression she made made me think of her as just a spoiled and jealous brat. However, I was clearly not the only one that let her talent in this drama go unappreciated. Shame on you, Google Images!

Rooftop Prince

Unfortunately, my ignorance continued into my next Kim So Hyun drama. Yet again it was an antagonistic role and her ability remained once again obscure in the light of the angelic main character. Though I could definitely say that she had improved as there were a couple of times her character had me literally screaming in anger at my computer screen, especially in the scene depicted below (second).

I Hear Your Voice

This out-of-this-world drama was the slap in the face I needed to wake up from my delusion. It not only took Kim So Hyun out of her hanbok and into a school uniform, but suddenly she (or more accurately, her character) also wasn't the demon spawn I'd thought her to be, but rather a sassy and brave young protagonist with the most dramatic scenes and the cutest little admirer to ever grace Dramaland.

Missing You

Kim So Hyun blew me away again in this drama. The emotional roller coaster I was put on during her portion of the drama can never be forgotten. Not to mention, the most beautiful teen couple that ever existed has had me shipping this pair on and off camera. Long live So-Goo!

Ma Boy

Finally, I thought I'd wrap up this article with this mini-drama. I chose to watch this on a whim during a particularly bad drama slump, and the comedy and overall adorability of it all was just what I needed to bounce back. Also, I felt that her performance in the cutely enthusiastic role of Jang Geu Rim was able to cement my certainty of Kim So Hyun's diverse skills as an actress and my love for her just couldn't help but grow a little more.

That's all from me for now, but if there is an actor or an actress that is worthy of a Stalker's Guide in your opinion, and you have watched enough dramas of his/hers to prove it, please contact Elisabetta about it. Here's a little parting gift. Enjoy!
